The hotel had everything that we needed and was in a very convenient spot by Ikebukuro Station. The area is a little busy and noisy, but nothing major. The bed is very comfy and the staff are very accommodating, though the room is a little dated. I would happily stay again.

Less than 1 minute from train station.

We stayed for 12 days and will go back again. It’s very close to the train station, everything you need from a small hotel is there. Air-con & air cleaner are working well. Wifi is not the fastest but acceptable.

We had a large room next to Ikebukuro station. I was worried about not being able to sleep at night because of the noise, but we slept fine. You can hear the trains, but it’s not that bad unless you’re a light sleeper. Overall, nice stay, very close to a train station, super convenient!

I would definitely stay here again as it is right beside the train station, so it is as easily accessible as it can get! Being right in Ikebukuro, there was so much shopping and restaurants to choose from. Very lively at night! Also right beside a major train station meant it had all the major train lines to get around the city!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and roomy enough. Hot water was instant and water pressure was strong. We stayed 2 weeks and were comfortable. A/C was cold and quiet. Hotel is across the street from a major train station, so that was convenient.

Hotel is like less than 5 mins from the correct exit. Super convenient. Ikebukuro is a good base to go to places like kawagoe and kamakura, minus the frantic crowd like tokyo, shibuya etc. On yamanote line, hence easy to go Ueno, tokyo station etc. You can take the airport shuttle bus ( willer express) very near to Ikebukuro stn. Peaceful corner of the station and yet you can shop at ease at Tobu ( close at 8pm) and Seibu ( close at 9pm). Quite many eating options surrounding, just round the corner is an eatery that sells fantastic grilled fish. Family room (4pax) faces directly against the station and you can hear the vividly, though i am a light sleeper, it did not bother me at all. We are usually so tired every day after walking. Room is slightly small. 2 individual beds against one corner, another is a pull out bed and sleeps 4. Room is quite dusty though, usually see dust when you flip the blanket. There is a table with no chairs, hence have to stand while eating or eat out. Appreciate the room's heater ( heater and aircon 2 in 1). Makes the room bearable in this winter. Blanket is very warm too. Bathroom and toilet is together, hence slightly inconvenient for 4 pax. Very value for money as we book below $200 for a night.

For the convenience and value, we are willing to overlook the small inconveniences and be back again for this hotel. Thank you staff

This hotel is definitely situated on the sketchier side of Ikebukuro, but it's right by the WE Road and the NW entrance to the station for easy access to the other side of Ikebukuro and the rest of Tokyo.

Would gladly stay here again, and most likely will.

Nice hotel near Ikebukuro station

Hotels is a block away from Ikebukuro station exit 20A.
Ikebukuro station provides access to many subway lines,JR lines and Seibu lines. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area.
Hotel is quite small and has a restaurant which you can buy breakfast for a fee.
Room was small but efficient and had a small refrigerator and kettle.
Walls are a bit thin as you can hear people moving in the next room and you hear the sound of the rail lines which begin running around 5am.

Super friendly and helpful staff, great location. It’s a very simple hotel but had everything I need. Being close to the station, the trains can be pretty noisy and I could also hear people talking in neighboring rooms. Luckily noise doesn’t bother me so I slept well and would definitely stay here again.

Just close to station but surrounding area is junk.
Even Reservation made with non smoking room, I got the room which they said non smoking room but full of gross smoking smell.
When I talked to counter service, they argue with me about smell and finally they gave me air filter and freshener. Unbelievable experience at that hotel sun city. I love Japan from my bone but that hotel owner is not a traditional owner.
Hotel service counter will give 25 cent of water bottle to Japanese customer but not foreigners. ( I saw with my eyes and I also can speak 50% of Japanese language)
That hotel make business with their own customer but not for US customer)

Really very near to ikebukuro station, for one who carry a big luggage can use The Central escalator...
Probably during winter and spring, auto heater is on for aircon. If you are afraid of heat you can open the window a little, but the corn is you get to hear the sound outside

The hotel was very easy to find. The room service was super excellent, very friendly. Couldnt ask for much more...maybe warm mochi in the mornings (like chocolate chip cookies in some US hotels). The front desk people were efficient and very willing to assist.

Fantastic location in one of the nicest parts of Tokyo City, seconds walk away from the station with the room being equipped with everything you'd need.

Extremely reasonable pricing makes this a no brainer for anyone wanting a hotel right in the city centre of Tokyo.

Immediately outside Ikebukuro Station on the Tobu and JR lines, and within walking distance of the Tokyo Metro and Seibu Ikebukuro Stations, it offers great options for travellers. While there is a good view of the trains pulling in and out of Ikebukuro Stations, it does mean that there will be quite a bit noise from the trains, however, the noise is minimal if the room windows are closed at night. The rooms are slightly older, but there is a tablet in each room that provides hotel and tourist information, and can be used as an alarm.

Convenient Location near Ikebukuro Station

Was first assigned a bad room with a bad view. Contacted the front desk and they moved me to a better room with a much better view. Do not hesitate to contact the front desk to make room changes. Hotels in Japan will often assign bad rooms (Noisy Side of the Building, or Bad View) to new or foreign customers. But the best thing about these Hotels is that they will move you to a better room, if you complain.
