Extremely Disappointing Experience

This was my fourth time staying at this resort, and unfortunately, it will be my last. When they first opened, everything was excellent. Now, the quality has declined terribly.

From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, the experience was unacceptable.

The AC in the room was hot. If you want the temperature lowered, you must call maintenance and then wait 2–4 hours for it to adjust a bit… Completely inconvenient.

The pool was green at the bottom. The indoor jacuzzi was dirty and did not look properly maintained. The hallways’ carpets looked like they had been flooded and left yellow and stained.

The sheets smelled like sweat. The bathroom was dirty. The shower gown had blood in the pocket — which is completely unacceptable and unsanitary.

The coffee station milk was spoiled and hot clearly rotten. The breakfast was cold, unappetizing, and poorly presented.

To make matters worse, the staff member Jonathan had a very poor attitude and was not helpful at all.

Overall, the cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service have seriously declined. It feels like management has become too comfortable and no longer cares about guest experience.

The premise is amazing but the execution is lacking. The resort is nice. The vibe was quiet and peaceful. There weren't a lot of guests which probably resulted in a minimal amount of staff on site.

I stayed in the lakeview suite which game is a bedroom, livingroom area, balcony, a separate attached room with a massage table and a bathroom with a steam shower. The first room I was book in had a working steam in the shower but the actual shower itself didn't work. The second room they booked me in had a working shower and steam but the shower adjustment was broken. The room had some chipping paint on the ceiling also. Outside of that it really is a nice room.

The facilities is nice too. A few of the ammenities were not active. The grounds is nice too. Some parts of the resort is definitely Social Media friendly where great contect can be produced. I think you will like it as a quick getaway if you are in the NYC/Albany area but don't go expecting a top tier luxury experience.

This place gets a very unfair rap. I loved every bit of my stay. May say it lacks employees and I think that’s the best part. There’s not a bunch of people in your face. It literally felt like me and my wife rented out the whole entire resort. The room was extremely spacious. Unnecessary corner space by the fridge. Not sure what they could put there. But it’s plenty of room for cartwheels lol. My favorite part of the room was the Steam Room/Shower. That was by far the highlight. The soundproof rooms make it really feel like you’re all alone. I loved it. It’s for sure going to be a yearly retreat for me. Around this same time. The ONLY thing I would change is the Juice Bar. They are horrible and overpriced. I would not recommend a $16 watered down juice/smoothie to anybody. By next year I hope you hire someone who knows how to really make a tasty smoothie. 4.6/5 for me. If they up the Juice Bar it’s 5/5

Upon arrival, the restaurant was closed and the pool/jacuzzi closes at 6pm.
We got most of our local info and amenities available through Micjael who was working the reception late at night. He was pleasant, infor.ative, and helpful. The room and the propery was peacef, comfortable, and calm.

Please don’t waste your money. This place has potential, but in its current state, it’s a major disappointment. Marketed as “luxury,” but there's nothing luxurious about it. Even a carnival cruise felt more upscale.

I’m not writing this because I lost money, my work covered the cost of my stay so I'm fine and can be honest. After my stay, I read all of the 1-star reviews and every single one was spot-on. The resort’s responses (“we appreciate your feedback,” “personal preferences vary”) avoid the real issues. So here are the facts vs. feelings:

Fact: Food is not vegan/organic as advertised; frozen Eggo waffles and hash browns at breakfast.
Feeling: Feels cheap and misleading.

Fact: Harsh, bright lighting.
Feeling: More hospital than spa.

Fact: Stained carpets, dirty mini fridge, stained towel at acupuncture.
Feeling: Poor cleaning and upkeep.

Fact: Massage therapist 10 min late.
Feeling: not a luxurious experience.

Fact: Latte made with Cafe Bustelo, charged $10.95.
Feeling: Overpriced.

Many staff were nice, but others seemed tired and disengaged, likely from poor management and constant guest complaints.

Pros: One decent yoga class, beautiful grounds.
Cons: Cleanliness issues, false advertising, low hospitality. Not worth the time or money and I don't want others to fall for it.

I have recently booked a two night stay at this property while attending an event in the area. I had the misfortune to arrive in the Catskill in the middle of a heatwave (which affected all the northeast). It was 98 degree outside when I made my way into the YO1 hotel lobby. Upon checking in I was informed by the front desk that their HVAC system was down and there was no AC anywhere in the hotel (they said it might get repair the next day but no guarantee). The air in the lobby was oppressive and the front desk person was clearly struggling with the heat (should have been sent home if you asked me). The employee informed me the hotel management would be reimbursing guests if they chose to cancel their reservation because of the AC situation. So, that's what I did. I went to a nearby property that had working AC. I cancelled my reservation via Expedia the same day and clearly made them aware that the property could not accept guests in these conditions and they should issue me a refund immediately. Expedia gave me the long runaround that they needed to contact the hotel first and they would get back to me. Well, after three days they finally got back to me and said they could not refund my stay as the hotel has not agreed to waive their 48 hour strict cancel policy(the facility was unfit for that). I have called the property but I have not been able to speak with anyone. This is shamefull behavior on the part of the hotel and Expedia.

This property would be amazing if it were kept up properly. HOWEVER, we found that many of the hotel's facilities or services did not work-- for example, the ice makers on both the 3rd and 4th floors were both not only broken but disassembled, the ice maker on the 2nd floor worked but the hallway lights to get to it did not. The women's steam room was entirely out of order, which seems like a pretty large functionality when the wellness area functions featured by the front office and all advertising include a steam room and sauna. We were definitely bummed about it! To top it all off, there was visible mold in our room's bathroom. It feels like perhaps a resort that used to be amazing or might be again, but is in need of some serious maintenance by the ownership. We also booked massage treatments, but our service providers did not ask even cursory questions about injuries or goals for the massage, despite them each coming in at a $200 price tag. Overall, we liked the idea of this place but the experience was unfortunately disappointing in many ways.

Said had a movie theater but really it was just a tv in common area. Food was ok but website stated elevated vegetarian but it was all options. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I booked through Expedia and although it was pretty expensive the options to stay kinda close to Bethel Woods are sparse.
I booked a double king and had my rate, but when I checked out it was 399.00. I asked why and the woman said because I booked for one person(I didn’t see that when I booked since I booked 2 king beds) I was charged an extra $100 for the extra person. This makes no sense to me. It’s not like it’s an all inclusive resort.(Did include breakfast).
My bf said the breakfast was chaotic and they didn’t have any food when he initially came down, there also was a spill but he couldn’t find anyone to help him so he moved a trash can in front so no one would slip. When he did get the food, there were good options and he was happy with the choices.
With all of this being said, the place was pretty clean. The couches looked to have stains and the door was banged up but overall good.
There is a gate to make sure you are a guest at the driveway and parking is easily accessible.
The entrance is lovely and the property is very pretty.
Not a super quick drive from Bethel. Ended up a quick stay because we got there late from the show, no late checkout. This was made very clear at check in. There also are signs at the desk showing the charges for any late check out.
I did not use any amenities, so I cannot speak to them.
Just seems overpriced and I was not happy about the extra charge

I recently had the pleasure of staying at YO1 Longevity & Health Resorts, and I must say, it was a truly rejuvenating experience. Nestled in a serene and picturesque setting, this resort is the perfect getaway for anyone looking to rest, recharge, and find inner peace.
One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible range of wellness offerings. I particularly enjoyed the massages, which were expertly done and left me feeling completely relaxed and revitalized. The yoga and meditation classes were equally exceptional, providing a harmonious blend of physical and mental rejuvenation.
While the resort’s focus on health and wellness is commendable, I would love to see a wider variety of vegan options available on the menu. As someone who values plant-based eating, having more diverse and creative dishes would have added an extra layer of satisfaction to my dining experience.
Another feature that could benefit the resort is a text messaging system to remind clients of their upcoming appointments, perhaps 15 minutes beforehand. This small addition would provide added convenience and ensure guests make the most of their scheduled sessions.
Despite these minor suggestions, my time at YO1 Longevity & Health Resorts was nothing short of wonderful. The tranquil environment, attentive staff, and comprehensive wellness programs make it a haven for anyone seeking a holistic approach to health and relaxation. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and healing retreat.

Appears as 5 star hotel when driving up to main entrance. Following check in, notice lack of maintenance & staffing to support size of property. Examples; out of service fitness equipment, mens steam room & sauna, broken operational controls for infrared sauna, stained robes in locker room, stained furniture in lobby & guest room. I just want to save other travelers their time and money, stay away from Y01!
There were belongings in the fridge, cabinets, bathroom and drawers from previous guests. The couch had wet spots all over it. There were smashed bugs all over the walls as well as bathrooms. Our balcony couldn’t be utilized due to the enormous spiders that have clearly been nestled in for quite some time. Not to mention the ones that were nesting in our room. There were used tissues on the coffee table near the machine and condom wrappers on the floor. An open bottle of liquor in the fridge along with what seemed to be pubic hair on the bed sheets. On top of all this, there was narcotics in the bathroom drawers. Needles and syringes still loaded, displayed in the bathroom drawer.
The pool area had dried up dead bugs all over. For the price point and luxury this resort is supposed to inhabit, it’s is not only a waste of money but an added stressor to what was supposed to be a peaceful trip. We traveled 2 hours and spent most of our stay down the road at the Kartrite, then overnight in our car because the room was so unclean.

I recently stayed at this hotel and while it was nice overall, there were several issues I encountered. The reservation didn't clearly state that early check-in required a $75 fee or a treatment booking. When we opted for treatments to avoid the fee, the therapist didn't show up.

Our room's air conditioner was broken, making the first night uncomfortably hot. I requested a new room and asked about a balcony upgrade, but no accommodation was offered. They don't inform guests that housekeeping needs to be requested, which should be mentioned at check-in.

Food options were limited and expensive. The tea shop had nothing substantial, forcing guests to either pay for pricey meals or leave the premises to eat. The hotel felt quite empty during our stay.

On the positive side, the facilities were nice and new, with plenty of yoga and meditation classes offered. The surrounding woods were beautiful, and the food quality was good when we did eat there.

One standout aspect was their accommodation of dietary restrictions. As we keep kosher, they even offered a kosher menu, which was greatly appreciated.

My daughter and I spent a long weekend in this resort. It has a lot of potential with many things to offer. However, steam room and jacuzzi in women locker did not work. Schedule was confusing and we missed yoga class. Lots of services limited because of lock of personal. Actually it was very few guests and place felt lonely. Food was good and service was nice.
We spent $1500 for 2 nights for room and massage. Yoga was free. It is of lot of money for place like that. I think this is a reason it’s empty.
I am not sure I would come back. It definitely needs more work, promotion and better price offer

This resort is big and has plenty of activities and dining options available. We really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi and the walking path around the lake. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a nice lake view. We stayed on a Tuesday so we didn’t get to experience many of the amenities that are only available on the weekend like the juice bar. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was a relaxing getaway in a quiet setting with plenty of things to do.

I enjoyed my much-needed spa weekend! I loved how serene it was, peace and quiet. Enjoyed the fresh air on my hike, a nice massage, the hot sauna, the steam room, gym, and our big room and lovely view of the lake and trees. Staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful. Great breakfast every morning, I literally ate the same thing every day, great staff and nice seating indoor & outdoor. Down side: pool closed the entire time, geese poop everywhere outside on the grounds, a leak from the a.c. unit outside the elevator on our floor (3rd floor), a leak under bathroom sink in my room and an air vent in bathroom hasn't been dusted in years. Other than that, I'm going every year for a relaxing weekend! Literally you can walk around in a robe and slippers!

Tow truck sticker ruined the experience

Pool and hot tub were closed, cold plunge wasn’t cold. Parked in front where there are no signs to not park, woke up to a giant orange sticker on my window that’s next to impossible to remove saying my car would be towed. Then security came out to lecture me on my way out about parking.

The check in was very disappointing, the front desk manager was very non accommodating . Instead of welcoming us warmly as what should a self proclaimed 4 star wellness resort should do, she was more focused on making sure we pay for the additional guests. We were already aware of the extra charges that we have to pay but she made changes on the reservation by trying to charge us more for the meals which should have been included already. She stated that it was an error on the staff that made the reservation for us and that if it will be adjusted , it will be deducted from his paycheck. which was a very unprofessional thing to say. It felt like a cheap attempt to squeeze more money from us.

This is actually our 2nd time in this resort, the first visit was impressive thats why we came back with more guests, but it felt like the facility and service deteriorated. The only good thing during this stay was the breakfast.

We have a great stay over the past weekend at yO1. The facility is beautiful. I loved the vegetarian food concept there. It was a nice peaceful stay. The yoga classes are great, must try the Nidra yoga session. It was something I never experienced before! I will say that the carpets are quite disgusting as there are old stains that have never been cleaned properly before and some parts of the building need to be up kept with maintenance and repairs. Overall though a very nice place to come for a quiet weekend getaway. I will definitely come back.

Spent a lovely weekend here with my wife. It's a beautiful spot right by a peaceful lake. The staff was super hospitable (a special shout-out to Chiana, who couldn't have been kinder). The Hatha yoga class with Sef (sp) was incredible and my wife raved about her massage with David. There were lots of interesting-sounding activities to try, but tbh, I was feeling lazy; for those more adventurous/motivated, there are tons of options. Highly recommended!

Great staff, good breakfast even if you are not a vegan like me. Rooms are nice but could use an interior decorators touch like the Eldred preserve nearby. But price wise for what you get it’s a good value. My main problem is the pool is freezing. Everyone complains about it. Please raise the pool temperature so we can actually use it. I don’t want to hear people who swim a lot need it cooler. The majority of people there are not swimming a lot but want to actually enjoy the pool.

Loved the availability of offerings and things to do on site. Most of the staff were great, very friendly and inviting! Physically this place is beautiful, huge and has so much to offer. Overall when you just glance without paying attention everything looks great, but when you pay attention you realize that a bunch of things could be cleaner. I wish they would pay attention to the details and little things in terms of cleanliness and service in the rooms and throughout the building. If the managers want details please let me know, I would be happy to discuss privately. I would definitely return again.

This was our 4th stay this year at YO1 and again it was another great stay. The staff is wonderful and accommodating, the place is clean and safe and we love the amenities they have to offer. Also, we love YO1's vegan and vegiterranean options. My first time there, I thought I would be eating grass and chia seeds (LOL) but that wasn't the case at all! I'm not a vegan of vegiterranean but their food is amazing!! Their head chef is awesome. If you're looking for a nice quiet, peaceful getaway, try YO1. It's a huge compound geared for peace and wellness. They have every possible amenity for just that. We've met people for all over the tri-state area, some come in couples, some come alone just for peace, wellness and relaxation. Whether you're into yoga, working out or just need a peaceful and quiet getaway, try this place. We're looking forward to our next stay there very soon! Can't wait!

I actually extended my stay because it was so nice to relax and participate in daily yoga and enjoy my own private steam shower. The weather had caused a few hiccups such as a power outage and some leaks that looked like they were being fixed but the staff were exceptional. I loved the grounds and the amazing restaurant, you would never know it was vegan. The weekends definitely have more amenities but I enjoyed the calmness of the weekdays as well. I will be returning.
