Nos gusta mucho este hotel, es la segunda vez que lo visitamos y esperemos no sea la última. La comida es deliciosa y el personal es muy amable.
La única mejora que deben hacer es mejorar la cobertura del WiFi de manera que cubra el 100% de las habitaciones

Very basic room. No TV, the heat was,a small electric space heater and middle of March it was 4°Celuis in the morning. One glass for 2 people, Nothing to do there. No trails, no pool, nothing. They have a bird garden but it is $10US/ person to get in. If you are not part of a tour group you are basically ignore, dinner is at a coffee table between to sofas. You are at the end of a deadend road. Everything is downhill from it. Makes walking a challenge.

This was my second visit one of the best hotels in the Savegre Valley for birders. The accommodations are excellent (including heating in the rooms & hot showers!), with the mountain-view villas being especially good for birders. A major bonus is a wonderful bird-feeding area attracting lots of hummingbirds & frugivores.
The only drawback on this visit was the disappointing meals on our first evening - I hope just a reflection of temporary staffing problems. Fortunately excellent restaurants at Lauraceas and Savegre are close by.

You can easily walk to some local trails and other hotel restaurants. This hotel was a gem! We loved our room, the walls are a little thin but we only shared with one neighbor. Beds were very comfy and had lots of pillows and wall plugs. Staff were pretty friendly, our only “poor” interaction was when we showed up at 8:30 am after a morning hike and were told the breakfast ends at 9 am and made a little fuss over us arriving at 8:30. This was the best breakfast we had. the grounds were beautiful! we saw so many birds and flowers. Our only con was that we didn’t have hot water in our room the first night/morning. We don’t know if this was do to lack of solar available or if other guests used it all but we didn’t have any hot water at 9 pm or 6 am. The second day when we showered right after our hike 4 pm there was hot water. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

Lovely setting in the valley with 3-4 blocks surrounding a nice garden area. Key activities are wildlife, especially finding the beautiful and rare Quetzal or walking in the rain forest. Restaurant is good, nice fire for cool evenings

Highly recommended for bird photographers.

A big negative is the steep rough road that leads down the mountainside; typically one lane and very bad condition. Not the hotel's fault of course. I had stayed at another property in the region, which is a lot more expensive, and not really worth the difference in price. Breakfast was very good, and the gardens and cabins are clean, and have basic, nice furniture. I would suggest adding a coffee maker and complimentary coffee for the cold mornings! The restaurant staff were very friendly.

For a remote location the hotel was pefect

Considering the recent storm the Hotel was able to cater for our needs. The internet was not available due to the storm and the mobile reception was out. The staff was so accommodating, anything we asked to arrange it was done without any delay or concern. All was added to the bill no question asked. The tour for the Quetzal guy arranged for us was EXCELLENT. We were showing our friends the area they came from Haiti and this was the highlight of their trip.

This is an eco-lodge...you have to remember that!

So, I made the mistake of taking little kids to this lodge. There is nothing for kids to do. It was a family wedding, so I had no choice, but wouldn't do that again. The grounds and the units are very well maintained and beautiful, the location is beautiful. The food in the lodge restaurant was very good, evening dinner amazing! All their food is fresh and I suspect they get it all locally. The room was big and beds were comfortable. The shower was a little rustic. You either had scalding hot water or freezing cold. There was no TV in the room, or wifi. Also, it gets very cold some nights and there is no heat in the room other than a small space heater. The room is also very drafty. The room was very clean tho.

Clean comfortable quiet hotel with excellent staff

This hotel is basic but very quiet and clean. Just what we wanted after time at the beach! The kitchen and reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. The birding guide was awesome and so patient with us! He described the bird's features so we could identify the bird as well. One of the best guides we've ever had anywhere! Food at hotel was yummy and reasonably priced.

Romantic , scenic and serene

A bit hard to get to but worth the trip. Very steep n twisted roads but an awesome find. the hotel is at the end of a string of 6-7 other resorts so u have a variety of places to dine n visit. several trails n activities for all levels . The Hotel it's self was nestled in lush gardens, spacious clean n a real bargain for the price . The staff was available but not pushy. Excursions were offered but not pushed . Looking forward to a return

Beautiful setting, unreasonable managment

Great location, great staff and service, but I would recommend staying at one of the other hotels based on my experience with unreasonable managment. I originally booked 2 nights, upon arrival my plans had changed and I alerted staff immediately. The managment was rigid and would not refund my 56 dollars for my second night. Poor customer service as I would gladly pay twice as much for another hotel that would bend over backwards to gain repeat customers.

Personne n'était présent à la réception lorsque nous sommes arrivés à 14h30. Le serveur du restaurant a finalement fait notre accueil. Il parlait très mal l'anglais et ne comprenait pas nos questions. Pas de wifi dans les chambres. Service au bar inexistant.

Terrible customer experience

I booked and prepaid my stay through Hotels.com. Upon arrival at Hotel de Montaña Suria, I was told they had not received the payment and that I had to pay again at check-in in order to receive the room keys. I arrived late at night after a car crash, exhausted and just needing rest, so I paid again on the spot.

The next morning, I checked my credit card and confirmed that both Hotels.com and Hotel de Montaña Suria charged me for the same room — a clear double charge.

When I raised the issue, Ariel, the front desk manager, told me I had to request the reimbursement directly from the online platform. However, Hotels.com requires an invoice from the hotel as proof of the second payment. Until today, I have not received any invoice from the hotel, making it impossible to process the refund.

In over 13 years of using Hotels.com, this is the first time I’ve ever had a problem like this.

While the property itself is very nice, the lack of coordination, accountability, and post-stay support resulted in a terrible customer experience.
I strongly recommend considering other lodging options to avoid similar issues or not using Hotels.com for booking.

Un buen lugar pero siento que faltan detalles

En general el hotel está bien pasamos una buena noche el día que llegamos en la tarde queríamos tomarnos un café pero la crema de lo que está en la habitación estaba dura y solo café expreso había para hacer, fuimos al restaurante y no habremos solo al desayuno y cena. Entonces tuvimos que buscar en lugares fuera del hotel. Y como a la 1 de la mañana habían perros dentro de la propiedad ladre y ladre

Hotel de montaña para descansar

La experiencia fue súper linda, el lugar es maravilloso, tienen jardines muy lindos y bien mantenidos. El hotel está muy bien cuidado, es acogedor, bien acondicionado e invita a descansar. El servicio es muy bueno y Diego de recepción está pendiente de lo que uno necesite. Tomamos solo el desayuno que estaba incluido y nos gustó mucho, es de buena calidad y muy buena proporción. Los únicos puntos puntos a mejorar son: 1) las habitaciones están pegadas por lo que se escucha todo y es peor en la noche donde hasta los ronquidos de la persona de al lado son fuertes y 2) no tienen calefacción sino que lo que dan es un tipo de ventilador que si funciona pero tiene una luz muy fuerte.

Ça restera un mauvais souvenir. Le défaut principal est le manque de chauffage dans l'hôtel. Au vu du prix payé pour les chambres c'est une honte (Plus de 110$). Les chambres ne sont équipées que d'un petit chauffage d'appoint qui peine à réchauffer la pièce quand il fait froid dehors et il faisait froid quand nous y avons séjourné. La salle de bain n'est pas chauffée, je vous laisse imaginer le plaisir quand il s'agissait de passer à la douche. La journée, il ne faut pas imaginer aller se réchauffer dans une pièce commune, le restaurant n'est pas chauffé non plus.
Pour le reste, on a eu un petit déjeuner sans pain parce que la cuisine est arrivée en rupture de stock pendant le séjour, ça mais imaginer le degré de professionnalisme des personnes en charge de l'approvisionnement.

El hotel es precioso, las vistas, leo lugar y los espacios justos para descansar y conectarse con la naturaleza, pasar tiempo con la familia. Básicamente desconectarse de lo externo y conectarse con la familia. Las personas súper amables al recibir, la comida es deliciosa y con precios bastante buenos! El desayuno muy rico y las porciones suficientes. Hay opción de una caminata al una catarata del río Savedre, pero en pocos pasos del hotel puede uno verlo y disfrutar de él! Volvería sin dudarlo, más bien muchísimas gracias.
