This is my favourite hotel in Delhi- it’s a little bit out of the way, but it’s set in a lush garden, with a beautiful swimming pool. The rooms are tastefully furnished, generous in size and comfortable. Great staff on top of all this.

A really nice surprise, possibly the best service I have ever experienced at any hotel before. It will be difficult to stay anywhere else in Delhi and it will be the new benchmark to compare other hotels too. Everyone knows you name, nothing is too much trouble and the rooms are huge which means it's a great base of you are staying a little longer. Location is convenient for most attractions.

I am a Californian, but an Anglophile at heart. This hotel is reminiscent of the British Raj times and Downton Abbey. There are many photos in the hotel showcasing its history of monarchs and their retinue that have graced the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The food in both the restaurants were great and the wait staff did an amazing job Overall a great and unique experience.

We stayed in a luxury suite which was well worth the extra expense, though not a great deal for those from the Global North. Service was excellent in the restaurants and front desk with a centralised tipping system that avoided moments of awkwardness. Breakfasts were amazing with a mixture of Eastern and Western dishes, some cooked order if required. Both of the restaurants were good wit the Garden Terrace offering a wider choice for those wanting a break from Indian cuisine. The service in both was pleasant and attentive. The pool was a welcome facility, prettily and quiet. In fact the garden setting and sense of space made a welcome relief from the bustle, chaos and attraction of Delhi. Perhaps the only minor negative feature was that the hotel was quite a distance from many of the major must-see sites.

A wonderful, historic hotel. Built in 1903 and situated in the Civil Lines area of Delhi, this is definitely a place you should consider. It goes without saying that the public areas, grounds and rooms are spot-on, well-maintained and spotlessly clean.
The real selling point here though is the service. I can honestly say that the staff here, from the General Manager down, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my luggage was mislaid by the airline and I was without it for 2 days. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive and provided me with essentials and even clothing as well as ordering a cab to take me to a local shopping centre to purchase a couple of items. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind and I was frequently greeted by name around the hotel. Outstanding and highly recommended hotel in a nice, green area away from the hustle and bustle and with a number of bars and dining options within a 5 minute walk – as well as the Civil Lines Metro station which will connect you with anywhere in the city.

What a treat ! my first stay in India was the maidens hotel and I couldn't be happier with the hotel , the staff, the architecture and the everything this gorgeous hotel has to offer. First, the architecture is stunning. The pool and the garden are so beautiful and well maintained. It 'is quiet and clean and the staff are so nice. Once you are inside the maidens , you will be transported to another era , another time . while it is noisy, and dirty outside ( it is Delhi !! ) once you are inside, you are on a bubble of serenity, quitness and peace.

This was my second stay at Maidens Hotel, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The property is beautiful and well maintained, with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a retreat from the busy city. The deluxe room was spacious, comfortable, and very well kept.

The food was excellent, and the service truly stood out—personal, attentive, and always friendly. While the location is in a quieter part of Delhi, I actually prefer it that way, and getting to the main city is easy with a quick 30–40 minute Uber ride.

Overall, amazing property, great food, and outstanding service. I highly recommend it and will definitely be booking again.

The staff are swift and keen to please. Service was fast, the hotel is lovely and the pool is stunning.
The rooms are well air conditioned, clean and fresh.
Internet strength depends where you are in the hotel, but wasn’t a problem. TV channels were global- so lots of choice.
Hotel is old architecture, an oasis amidst the noise of Delhi.
The location is good for Chandani Chowk, I got Ubers or hailed a local Rickshaw easily.
The Manager Prachi was very professional and always visible and on hand helping guests.
Will return with family.

There was so many special touches like special free drinks around the pool Rose water. My daughter is Celiac and the dining staff were wonderful in making her platters of food that she could eat. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel over and over again.

Excellent stays. We split up our time in India and Nepal and used Maiden’s as our home base. We left unneeded luggage at the hotel for different legs of our trip. We were warmly welcomed “home” each of the three stays. Our adult children had their own suite and loved the amenities. The pool area is wonderful, with peacocks, parakeets and dozens of other kinds of birds. Silky water to soothe sore feet and cool off comfortably after a day of touristing.

OMG. Maidens, where have you been hiding?

I've traveled to Delhi for decades. The Taj Palace & The Leela are like home. Familiar faces, familiar comforts.

This time, I needed a hotel near the hospital where my mom was having surgery.
The Maidens.
Turning into the driveway, I was hit with a wow. Grand arches. Sweeping balconies. White Indo-Colonial architecture.

A quiet, elegant lobby. Not trying too hard to impress.
The Maidens lets its soul speak.
I couldn't stop turning my head, breathing in every small detail. I didn’t grow up with this kind of glamour, but it still felt familiar.
Even the sweet, rose-water-infused welcome drink—I could taste my childhood in it.

The feeling continued into my suite: soaring ceilings, antique floors, an elegant, quiet bedroom. The best 4 hours of sleep I’ve had in ages.
Knowing I'd leave early, I had a packed breakfast waiting for me. Small gesture. Huge impact.

One last thing—when I stepped outside, I was hit with this heady, gorgeous fragrance—jasmine maybe? The air was full of it. Not a curated hotel scent (no insult intended, Taj & Leela). This was real. Organic.

If I had to describe my experience in one sentence—it felt like running barefoot across a hot aangan, a feeling only Indians can understand.

I still love you Taj & Leela, but the Maidens did what you can't. It made me feel happy.
Special shoutout to Deepika for fixing my botched booking & upgrading me to a suite.
Also, where did you get your period lights? I must know!!

A beautiful hotel. The staff are phenomenal, know you by name, and staff I’ve never spoken to knew of my allergy and took care to cater around it. We were upgraded on arrival (no reason given, maybe because it was Republic day, maybe because it was my birthday). The suites are fantastic - spacious, comfortable beds, and the housekeeper left us a gift of a coin purse (which I just now realise we left behind!).

We had a series of unfortunate events while here, which the staff handled excellently. We had a leak in our room after the first night (AC issue). Immediately fixed and sincere apologies. Unfortunately they, or house keeping, didn’t pull the door fully shut and our room was not locked for the entirety of the day. A visit from both the head house keeper and the general manager to sincerely apologise, and a free meal provided. Unfortunately that free meal had its own disasters; my starter arrived on a dirty plate and my main was forgotten about entirely. You could see the staff were mortified, and did everything they could to improve my experience. I don’t say this to put anyone off, I firmly believe that the best way to know a business is to see how they respond when something goes wrong, not when everything goes right. And this hotel was exceptional. My only negative comment, the laundry is EXPENSIVE even by UK standards. I’m sad I wasn’t able to stay longer, as this was truly a great stay.

It is a historic hotel where you feel the ambiance of the early 20th Century. The staff was extremely friendly and respectful despite the fact that I was absolutely not a high contribution customer. That's the mark of high class institutions. I advice customers to take profit of the huge swimming pool and the beautiful park which is a real oasis of nature within one of the biggest cities of the world.

Stunning hotel with big clean rooms. The common areas are slightly dowdy but the rooms are gorgeous. The food was tasty and staff are very friendly. It’s a little out of the main part of Delhi which is actually a bonus. The only issue I had was the wifi was terrible. There is a wifi you can pay for that is supposed to be better but I would have hoped that regular wifi was at least manageable. My phone was faster than their wifi. Needs addressing.

Maidens hotel is a beautiful period property more than 120 years old. The grounds have beautiful and well maintained gardens. There is a very nice swimming pool with brilliant accessory facilities. The hotel was very comfortable. We only stayed for one night after we landed in Delhi but wished we were here for longer. The room was spectacular. Breakfast was great and the hotel staff were extremely helpful. They arranged a car to collect us from the airport but there was a communication issue and the car didn't come, the problem was very quickly sorted and a taxi was arranged for us immediately and covered in full by the hotel. The manager even came to find us and apologise personally for the inconvenience. Problems happen occasionally, however it was handled so well and professionally it didn't even matter in the end.

Our experience at Maidens exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful, a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Delhi. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Delhi.

Beautiful heritage building, very tranquil but the staff were the stars, so kind and helpful . The only negatives( being said with a grain of salt) room was dark, furniture old, carpets worn. Breakfast fantastic and the chef made a custom dinner. We would definitely return, maybe pay more for an upgraded room or suite

This is a nice hotel if you want to get away from the bustle of the city. It also has a heated outdoor swimming pool in pleasant gardens. It is close to the Civil Lines Metro which is easy to navigate. Close to the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, but quite a journey to tourist sites in the south of Delhi city.

This is a lovely hotel, with excellent staff, simply designed rooms with super comfortable beds. The swimming pool is perfect and breakfast on the outside terrace is a good start to the day.
