I chose this hotel on the basis of it being close to my family. I would like to commend them for their very warm welcome in the early hours of the morning when I arrived. They made me feel like a very special guest. The reception staff here are outstanding. This is the second time I have stayed here, the rooms are not large but they are well equipped and the breakfast was excellent. There is a nice covered seating area around the back of the hotel by the car park which was lovely in the hot weather. I would definitely return to this hotel.

What else you would wish for…

It was great stay. Breakfast buffet is great. Bed comfy, shower strong enough. Cheeky was car parking- had to pay £5 per day. For guests should be free as stated in Latvian and Russian, but not in English… Overall we were happy.

Outstanding Hotel in Courland

Outstanding place to stay in Liepaja. Modern rooms with all the amenities of an up-scale hotel. Easy walking distance to ''Lielais Dzintars" and night life.
Restaurant with great dining, service and ambience ... really appreciated the fresh cut flowers on the tables.

Perfect for solo travellers

It's a good hotel for solo traveller as it is easy to get to and bus stop is just right outside. Bed is standard not amazing but the price is right for it.

Ensure you get a business room with AC.

Hotel location is great, and there is plenty of parking. We originally booked a budget room, which has not been refurbished, and has no AC. This may not be a problem for much of the year, but in May, with a south facing room, it was unbearably hot. Initially there was no alternative, but when I asked what else that had during the night we were upgraded to a business room, for 10 Euros more. The newly refurbished business rooms are great, with AC.

We decided to reduce the time we spent there as they did not have a business room for the second night. There was no problem with the refund.

Great Service and Breakfast

The staff was very friendly and made things easy for us. The breakfast buffet was probably the best I've had at any hotel in Latvia, which counts for a lot in my book! The room was very nice with a very clean, new bathroom. The only negative was that our stay occurred during one of the hottest days of the year, and there was no fan or cooling in our room, so we kept our room door open for a few hours to help it cool down.

The hotel was o.k. but nothing special. The room was adequate. The service was friendly. The self-parking area was ample and convenient. The breakfast array was adequate but nothing special. In the North American context, one would characterize the Amritsa as a typical chain hotel.

Hotel was on main street in Liepaja. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Hotel was clean and neat. Room was fairly basic, but perfectly fine. Ate at restaurant for dinner and it was good. Great value for the price.

Nice clean quite hotel with helpful staff

We stayed for one night at the Hotel Europa City Amrita, the hotel was centrally located near the waterfront and adjacent to the old town on the other side of the bridge. It was pleasantly clean, had enough outlets for us to recharge our cell phones and cameras. It is not a cutting edge new hotel, but is clean and orderly, you get a bit of street noise if you sleep with your windows open. They provided us with a covered secure storage area for our bicycles to be locked up for the evening. They have an attached restuarant which looked reasonable and we ate an excelelent breakfast there in the morning but went elsewhere for our dinner.

Amrita hotel was perfectly fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was basic, but fine. Hotel restaurant was very good. Trams going by outside are bit noisey if you are a light sleeper (I am not), but I suppose you could ask for a room facing the rear, if needed.

Wir hatten ein praktisch und modern eingerichtetes Zimmer mit zwei bequemen Betten und einem gepflegten Bad. Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffeepulver waren vorhanden, ebenso Pflegeartikel im Bad, richtig große Badehandtücher und Slipper.
Das Restaurant ist modern und hübsch eingerichtet und wir haben sehr gute, moderne Speisen zu einem günstigen Preis genossen. Der Service war erstklassig.
Das Frühstück bot eine große Auswahl, jedoch keine Brötchen und nur eine Sorte Marmelade.
Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder aussuchen.

Hotellet ligger centralt. Meget tæt på floden og i gåafstand til byen. Alt er pænt og ordentligt uden at være prangende. Godt værelse, skønt badeværelse og udstyr. Kedel og kaffe på værelset. Der er ca 2 km til den skønneste strand som er virkelig fin.

Hyvä hotelli, mutta varauksella

Tällä hetkellä vielä olen ristiriitaisessa tunnelmassa hotellin suhteen, joten arvostelua olen tämän takia viivästyttänyt. Hotelli on siisti ja hoidetun oloinen, mutta ensimmäisenä päivänä toinen hisseistä hajosi (kuulosti betonimyllyltä). Hotellilla on hyvät pysäköintipaikat takapihalla, mutta riippuen tulosuunnasta hotellille, sinne ajaminen saattaa olla haasteellista. Ilmastointi toimi moitteetta ja aamiainen oli hyvä ja monipuolinen. Kaupungin keskusta on joen toisella puolella, jonne kävelee parissa minuutissa.

Ristiriitaisen ja tunnelmaa latistava tunne hotellia kohtaan tuli siitä, kun kirjauduimme hotelliin. Olin varannut kolme yötä ja käyttänyt bonusöitä huoneen varaamiseen ja maksanut etukäteen. Tullessamme kertoivat, että koska eivät olleet saaneet riittävää maksua olivat veloittaneet (kuitin mukaan saapumispäivänämme yöllä klo: 1.30) luottokortiltani n.199€. Edellinen luottokorttilasku katkesi edelliseen päivään, joten en tiedä onko veloitus oikesti tapahtunut vai kyseessä jokin "varaus". Henkilökunta osaa auttavasti englantia joten syynä voi olla väärinymmärryskin. Toisaalta tälläista tapausta ei ole aikaisemmin missään muualla tullut vastaan.

A hotel in citycentre with car park

The hotel is situated in walking distance from old town, still easy reachable by car.
The included breakfast was quite OK for small hotel.
The the hotel's parking was OK and did not cost anything additionally, They allowed me to keep my car in their parking even after checkout.
In this hotel I experienced rooms of two kinds. The first one was of little bit outdated design, without AC but clear and more or less OK. Another room was of moder design.
The rooms at street side are a bit noisy, there is tram passing by.
