From the moment we arrived (although the journey there was hard work), this resort completely exceeded our expectations. It’s rare to find a place that feels both timeless and luxurious — like stepping back in history, yet surrounded by every modern comfort you could wish for. The grounds are beautifully preserved, with so much character and charm in every corner.
The staff were absolutely wonderful — warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay special. They went out of their way to be kind and accommodating, especially with our toddler, which made the experience even more relaxing and memorable. A special shout out to Manish, who looked after our every need and request.
The highlight of the activities available was the sunset boat ride — peaceful, breathtaking, and perfectly organized. The food was outstanding — no matter the cuisine and the local Kolkata food prepared was especially excellent. The spa also deserves a special mention — the masseuse was exceptional, one of the best we’ve ever experienced, leaving us completely refreshed and renewed.
We left feeling like we could have lived there forever. This resort is a rare gem — elegant, welcoming, and unforgettable. We will definitely return - if only the journey there could be made more comfortable /less bumpy!!
