I like it being so close to JB station and the shopping malls. The apartment is very spacious with fantastic view over the city and harbour. Everything is fine with the place apart from one big negative is that they do not answer phone calls. I left a bag behind in the room and tried to get in touch with them as inside the bag I had my shoes for going to a wedding. It was impossible to talk to them and eventually had to have a local to go into the hotel to collect it for me. I found that extremely frustrating as I had just crossed the border to Singapore and did so many long distance call to them unsuccessfully.

Terrible hotel.. won’t be back.. Paid for 3 guests but hotel staff insisted that I had to pay for extra bed at reception even though my booking stated payment made for 3rd guests. Room had horrible smell that lasted throughout the stay even though we used air fresheners, that didnt work. Toilet seat was also broken. Had to call someone to get it fixed.

FYI, they charge for early check in.

Despite some hiccups at the start and the end, with faulty aircon and power trips (beyond their control), it is still my hotel of choice to bring my mum and grandmother. Attentive and responsive reception and maintenance. Even housekeeping crew is great. 2nd time staying here.

First time staying at this place. The staff are warmth and friendly and kudos to them. The condition of the room is appalling as it appears worn out and not well-maintained, eg: the toilet seats have blue stain that cannot be removed. The corners of the toilet floor are black and we can also see the wires hanging behind the mirror in the toilet.
I can only compliment on the professionalism of the staff and the location of the hotel which make up for the poorly-maintained rooms.

Best view and location in Johor Bahru

Best location in Johor. Nearby all the food and shopping areas. Beautiful view and the rooms are spacious and clean. There is even a dining table, a living room and kitchenette for your cooking if there is a need to. Its pricey but it is worth the money for the comfort and feel of home

Hotel not maintained well.

Just sharing our experience & observation. We (4pax) checked in to Suasana Suites Hotel Johor Bahru along Jalan Trus on 21/06/2024, Friday. Upon check-in, we realized that only 1 guest lift, out of the 4, is working. There was a notice at the frontdesk dated 11/06/2024, informing that all 4 guest lifts are out of order & only the service lift was available. With 1 guest lift & 1 service lift available at the point of our check-in, we took an average of 40mins to wait for either lift. 2nd guest lift was up & running on 23/06/2024. This incident had compromised our experience with the hotel. There was no effort made for service recovery. The room itself was poorly maintained. Clothes holder behind bathroom door was loose, towel rack was loose, bathroom tap fell off, kitchen tap was leaking, toilet roll holder was loose, cockroach in the living room. We stayed at Level 29, we were able to hear the music from Lepak Corner quite clearly till wee hours on Friday & Saturday. In the morning, the construction sound started as early as 8am. This is my second time here. The first time was in Aug 2023 and I had a good experience- bed was comfortable and room was clean. But I can’t say the same this time round. I will think twice about booking this hotel again.

Last time staying here

All the lifts were down and wasted time to use cargo lift 30 mins each time. Stayed 3 nights and maintenance still cannot fix the lift. Definitely give this property a miss. Horrid experience and just spoil the holiday mood.

Love the hotel but not this time round

I have stayed here multiple times and have always love the hotel. However this was the worse experience i had. Firstly the door was not functioning well. I had to change both my keycards at least 5 times over my 3 nights stay. Also when i check into the room, the tv was welcoming another guest name instead, it seem like they have just decided to swop my room. Also the shower head was set so high that i could not reach it and had to use the rain shower. I did not have these issues when i stayed in this hotel previously so i am not sure if it is this room. Just a suggestion, please install some racks in the shower for guests who would like to use their own toiletries.

Good apartment for a family staycation

We stayed in the 3 bedroom alartment and it was fantastic.
It was clean and furnishings were in good condition. There was a kitchen and a dining area as well as hall/coffee table and small balcony. Very convenient location as well.

Defects to follow up.

Room was comfortable. However there is some defects we found in the room need to be improve and I have spoken to the duty manager and housekeeping team.
1. Master room balcony sliding door has a cracked line and fingerprints.
2. Leaking stains found at master bed room ceiling, it is very weird when lying on the bed.
3. Master bed room grouting condition is not up to standard.
4. Living room toilet bowl seat cover loose.
5. Air vent grill seem like falling down. A silicone layer not fill up.
6. Ants coming out from the entrance door frame all the way till kitchen counter.
7. Living room window counter dusty and Fingerprints. (Housekeeping team have cleaned on the spot after received comment)
I am happy with my stay and the fast response to the team and the room should need to do preventive maintenance.

Check-in the wifi has no internet connection
Check with reception counter and was told it takes a while
Later after my dinner, check and found still the same wifi have no internet connection
Reception counter told it is the server issues and get back to us but never
Called again later & was told technician will come to my room and check
Technician came and say it is not hotel server but the service provider outside
No notice from the hotel or follow up at all till I check out
Very disappointed stay at this hotel.

nice cozy 2 bedrooms apartment with living room and kitchenette. there are basic dining plates and cutlery available. a huge fridge in the kitchen which is good too.

mattress in bed is a bit hard but pillows are good for a comfortable sleep. 2 bathrooms in their apartment with hair blower, clothes iron and ironing board in the apartment.

location is just across the street from City Square Mall with 7/11 and some food outlets on the lower floors of the apartment

Nice, new building, convenient location if you intend to travel into Singapore too (otherwise there are more developed/newer areas to select from). The size and quality of apartment was great. Comfortable bed. Good service overall. Breakfast was good too, despite limited choices it was just about sufficient and had something to suit everyone’s preferences.

The apartment is clean and nice. Except the first day check in. We were unable to log in the wifi and the telephone is also not working unable to get thru the reception.. have no choice but to go down lobby to update the reception. As when we check in is quote late, so is understandable that facilities team is unable to rectify on the first night. So second day update the reception that the wifi is still not working. They quickly get technician to rectify. So overall is good.

I have stayed at Suasana Suites many times but this time I am extremely disappointed. When I checked in at 10.30pm the toilet was so smelly. It smelled like urine. Since it was a 1 bedroom apartment I couldn't ventilate it as my room will be smelly. Whole night couldn't sleep as the smell from the toilet getting stronger. When I went down at 11.15pm to tell the reception he said he will send some one but I told him I was going to get a bite so he said when I come back I inform him. When I got back there was no one at the reception counter. I thought he went to the toilet. So I called the reception when I went up but still no answer. My husband went down and said there was still no one there.. utterly disappointed.. and on top of that the WiFi not working. Very bad

Baby cot is not given when we have enquired since 2 mths ago. Then ask for towels, hand towel etc takes 2 hours to be delivered. Poor housekeeping. And its not cleaned. Especially the toilet. Spacious and location near to JBCC.

Not suitable for people who going for service. And its not cheap either.

Booked the 2 bedrooms suite with a king bed and 2 twin beds. But was given 1 king bed and 1 queen bed. Only changed the suite for us after we complained and insisted on the change.

Beds were Dusty - felt itchy and like something biting. Poor noise insulation - can hear the vehicles at the custom horning on and off in the middle of the night. Whole family can't has a proper sleep - My girl abandoned the bed and sleep on the sofa. My son can't sleep till early in the morning.

Totally defeat the purpose of staying in a hotel since you can't have a proper sleep.

The hotel is just across the road from JBCC which makes it really convenient to get around.
However, housekeeping was less than satisfactory and has to be improved.
We found a used towel hanging at the back of the bathroom door and also found hair on new towels folded on the racks.
Finished tissue box were also not refilled and cleaning staff threw away our used toothbrush but didn't give us a new one.
