Our stay was great. Room was clean, bed was great, staff were really nice and helpful. Parking very easy. The laundry - washer and dryer were out of order and the breakfast wasn't the best. No fresh fruit and the coffee is not brewed - it's intstant coffee from a dispenser. Otherwise all great!

No elevator. Facility was old, but clean and maintained. Did not utilize breakfast. Everyone of staff was beyond professional, caring, and friendly. These people did not have much to work with, but made it a welcoming and comfortable place to stay anyway. Don’t be afraid to stay here.

I was looking for a decently priced basic hotel and this place is just it. Absolutely delightful with the exception of cleanliness of bathroom. There was moldy ring in toilet and a hair plug in bathtub that i had to remove or i was standing in water, gross. The temperate on faucet in tub is backwards, when you turn it on to hot it is cold water. The tv set up is not easy to operate and took me over an hour despite the instructions. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

We have stayed at other Baymont Wyndhams, but we ended up not even staying the night at this one. We decided to drive home late after being in the room for 10 mins. It was very dirty, the room smelled like dirty feet, wet dog and mold. It was a bottom floor so they had the window open I am assuming trying to air it out and the window was broken. The heater/air conditioner was in pieces on the floor. I didn’t even want to take my shoes off. When I went to tell the office we would not be staying, he never walked out to the front, just stayed in the back room and kept looking through his wallet paying little attention. He just replied “ok” after I explained why we would not be staying and why. Very unprofessional and we still were charged for the room, which I’m in the process of disputing.

Family emergency and never checked in. Called to cancel and they said I had ti call Expedia, however wouldn’t answer their call. I booked two nights, I would understand one night charge but they will not refund any of it. Hope life never happens to whomever made that decision. Will never consider this business or any related again.

Great breakfast, though it was recently \"renovated\" when it went to the Baymont branding there were no noticeable changes and its still very tired. Staff did not handle checkin for our large group well and as of now still has not been able to resolve the issues.

Just a little disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. When we arrived there was a dirty sock behind the bathroom door and also a large hairball stick to the inside of the shower curtain. We also noticed some stains on the comforter.

Everything was good the only bad thing was the WiFi goes out a lot so when that happens the tv doesn’t work and then you have to put the WiFi password in all over again just a hassle. But other than that. It was a good stay, and dog friendly!!

Check-in at the hotel was great. The room was generally clean, but the comforter had a bunch of gross, unidentifiable stains we noticed on day two of our stay. Unfortunately. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and had a range of choices. The exterior of the motel was awful. It needs to be power-washed and repainted. There were cigarette butts all over the sidewalks in front of the rooms. There is no daily service to your room for fresh towels or anything (until you have been there for three days) unless you specifically request it, and when you DO request it, the front desk staff is baffled as to why you need fresh towels. We were given an incomplete amount of towels for our third night, and told that was all the towels they had in the motel (two towels and one washrag for two people...whatever, it's fine) and now there would be none left for anyone else. The room was listed as \"Bay View\" and technically it is, but there is another motel in front of you, and your \"view\" is very limited (not a show stopper). It wasn't terrible, but we will not go back here. There are plenty of other options in the area.

No hangers in the room, shower didn’t work properly at all, no icemakers worked, had to walk up to a separate building for breakfast, tables weren’t wiped down in between customers, we asked for a first floor room and ended up in a different building at the bottom of the hill. Not handicap friendly at all. The room smelled like weed.

Older hotel with small rooms, but pleasant, clean and serviceable. Beautiful views of the lake. Covered parking, nice breakfast buffet. Beverages and snacks are available all day. Staff are helpful and friendly. Poor WiFi connection. Close to shopping and downtown area.

The staff was super nice and motel is in a convenient location right near a Walmart and a few restaurants. Heater worked and water got very warm! That being said, it was dusty and there was lots of crumbs and stuff on the floor. Definitely needed a good cleaning. The king mattress was just two twins put together. Lastly it seemed a little sketchy and at one point a few cops were there. Overall a good stay though.

The room was in good condition. I would give 5 stars for the economics of the stay as well as the staff and the breakfast. The tub drain was clogged which has a heavy weight into my score. The bed was comfortable and my tv worked great on the free channels. Proximity to Makinac Bridge and Island, as well as to Boyne Mountain makes it easy to adventure. Yes Please and Thank You!

The rooms have been upgraded. The shower was fantastic. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very nice and helpful. It was great to be able to park right in front of your room with a sheltering overhang.

The first room we were assigned was either a smoking room outright, or had been freshly smoked in. We were transferred to another room that was better air quality, but there was blood stained on the sheets. The front desk gave me new linens to remake the bed myself so it worked out.

The wifi was super spotty and dropped fairly frequently so I had to hotspot from my phone to watch the TV.

Aside from all that, the staff were friendly and the snowplows were on top of things when the lake effect rolled in so I couldn't complain too much!

If you're looking for a VERY budget friendly stay, this place is for you. Pictures make it look nicer than it is though.
Check in was easy and the desk clerk was lovely.
Our room smelled like someone had been smoking inside and they tried covering up the smell with too much air freshener.
I wanted to take a bath to relax but didn't trust sitting in the tub. The shower was fine with lots of hot water.
The mattress was comfortable but we kept hitting our knees on the bed frame because the room was crowded.
When we first checked we actually wanted to go to another hotel but, we decided to stay because, really, we just needed to sleep somewhere decent.
We won't stay here again though.

I booked the room for my adult children and 16 year old. They didn’t say anything because they were tired from skiing when they got to the room but when they got there the window was open with cigarette butts by the window sil and they found a box of cigarettes under the bed. They said the room didn’t smell but obviously ???clean.

Upon arriving to the hotel i went in with my 2 small children. It was raining. My check-in was quite late in the night so i wanted to get my children to the room as quickly as possible. No one was at the desk. I range the bell and no one came. I called the hotel phones, heard them ringing and no one answered. We waiting quite a long time bwfore returing to our vehicle and didnt know what to do. I saw a man standing outside the hotel, not sure what he was doing as he looked to be just standing outside not doing anything. He saw us walk in and walk back to our car. After a bit of time that man walked back inside and went behind the desk. I realized he worked there. So finally we went in and got checked in and to our room. I felt very helpless when i could nor check into my room for such a long time after already booking it and paying online. No one answering phones and the managers voicemail said it was full. It definitely did not feel worth the money at that point but unfortunately i knew it would probably not be refunded to me if i left, even though there was no one there to check us in for a long time.

Location is perfect for Petoskey get away, with view of the Bay. Close to downtown, with charming shopping and very close to additional shopping like Ross, Marshall’s, Home Goods while still giving the feeling of “being up north”. Conveniently near a variety of chain restaurants if you want to mix it up with dining the charming ones in town. About 40 minutes away from the tunnel of trees with a spectacular look in the Fall. Clean decently comfortable beds. Fridge, microwave, tv, all you really need. About 45 minutes to Mackinac city if you want close but to still have more available to do. Friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Will be our GO TO spot for future up north getaways!

The staff had to be told when food needed to be filled at breakfast. There was a female staff that was on top of it and went out of her way to help people throw out their trash . The men, however , were in the office or elsewhere and someone would have to go find them and tell them when something was needed.
