Very disappointed. Photos do not accurately represent the property. Looks like an old motel from the outside - inside the room smelled like strong cleaner solution to the point we were not able to stay due to headaches. Ugly dark bathroom and cheap furnishings.

Noisy street, no direct access to the waterfront, no “luxury house” access, no working coffee machine in the “office” which was a storage closet. Exorbitant price, tried to request a refund but was directed to Hotels.com, who directed us back to the property. Complete ripoff.

Tried to get refund. When we arrived the front was packed and stacked with garbage bags - the office was a little cubby hole /. The reception couldn’t get on line on the laptop. The scene was unsettling and think the pictures are woefully inaccurate. I’ve been traveling a long time and love small business. Not much complainer but the owner needs to figure thus out. Or maybe sell it. We would like refund. Didn’t stay or check in

I thought that the room was super cute. And in a great location. The staff was super helpful when I reached out to them to understand the check in process more. I did miss actually talking to people and felt a little more stressed having to wait for a message through Expedia about the room number and check in but I was glad that when I reached out to the staff right away the said that I would receive the room number and code an hour before check in. The only two issues with my stay was the shower was not draining properly in the shower it’s pretty clogged and when we went to the front office area to use the ice machine it was broke. But other than that everything was great and now that I understand the check in and check out process I would stay there again. I also ran into the cleaning lady when hauling my stuff to the car and wanted to mention how she was super friendly.

Shower head in #2 drips all the time, beds are too hard, and as stated, very thin walls and ceiling, it’s like people are moving furniture till midnight. Yes they provide earplugs, but people you all need to know to have respect for others and NOT create more noise than you need to.

The room floor appeared to be clean. So it’s being swept, but not washed. I spilled some water in front of the fridge and wiped it up with a towel. The towel was virtually dark brown after that. My white socks were so dirty I just threw them out. Cheap price, comfortable beds. LOTS of road noise. Thought we were next to the freeway.

A couple of days in Petoskey

Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Grounds were well-kept. We enjoyed using the fire pit on a cool evening. Good location; thought it might be noisy being right on a busy road, but that was not the case. Only issue was a lot of peeling paint in the shower area; the fan cannot keep up with the moisture from the shower. Would stay here again .

Absolutely the worst service and the most uncomfortable beds we’ve ever stayed in. We ended up leaving and driving five hours back home because it was so bad. Don’t let the pretty interior fool you, it’s crap! It’s noisy, thin walls, and our money was not refunded! Would not recommend this place ever!

The location and view of the bay was great. The newer decor in main room attractive and comfortable. Biggest problem was lack of cleanliness in bathroom. There is mold on the ceiling and the walls are dirty. The glass shower doors and their tracks were not clean. The refrigerator and microwave smelled terrible. So if you are concerned about bad smells and visible mold, avoid this location.

Great cozy little older place. We liked it much better than the normal newer mega hotels that just feel cheap. Would definitely recommend if you want a cozy place with a great view of the bay. I enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking my tea (great tea selection) and taking in the nice views. Very relaxing.

Not sure where the photos of the nice lobby were taken, but it wasn’t anything we saw… the room was fine but had very thin walls. They actually left us earplugs on the desk which I thought was very strange. The beds were very comfortable, shower needs to be recalled and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Exterior leaves much to be desired, but the drive to town was easy.

It's located a short distance outside of downtown. It's across the street from Little Traverse Bay, so you have a view of the bay from a distance. Clean. Little moldy smell on entrance of room because of a/c. Cold rooms, but we liked that. Bed was not the best, but it was ok. Needs bigger in room garbage cans and lower voltage lighting for outside of rooms. Room was very lit at nighttime and the second night we did unscrew the light bulb so we could sleep. It was ok, but we thought quite expensive considering the age of the hotel.

Loud loud loud hwy noise. There is no lobby, no dinning, no one to greet at check in because there is no office. Window screens and windows are dirty. Room smells as if cat urinated in it or there is hidden mold. Wall air conditioner difficult to adjust; also loud.
Room otherwise neat, clean.
Would never stay here again and will not recommend. It is a $100 a night motel that changed over $300.

Sorry to leave the bad comment, but first of all, the bathroom sink and shower drain was clogged badly and smells bad. That was beyond terrible....Noise comes from upstairs never stopped. When I used hair dryer, the entire power shut down. There was no staff at the site, my husband had to fix the breaker.

Convenient location, just outside Petoskey. Little Traverse Wheelway runs nearby (currently right on the shoulder of us31). Beds are micro-foam mattresses , takes a little getting used to. Overall very nice.

First appearance was good. Bed was decent. We were unable to find the remote for the tv and while looking for it under the bed and couch was filthy. The drains were slow, hot tubs I felt were poorly located. The smoke alarm went off at 3:30 am waking us up and continued for 30 minutes until it stopped and just flashed red. The view and location was not bad. We did not have any issue when it came to noise outside of the smoke alarm. For the price I would have expected more but in that area my research showed it was priced comparable.

I had to go stay at another hotel, the mold smell was horrific. The floors were filthy, the bathroom door wouldn’t close. One of two lights were out in the bathroom. It’s a very old building and the photos are very misleading. The only positive thing ( I’m still waiting on) . Is my refund that they said will be coming in two days. They didn’t dispute my complaint.

This was a great clean stay. Check in was super easy. The view is beautiful, bed was comfy, it did take a minuet for the ac to cool off the room as it was off when we arrived but got it cooled down and kept it there. The only negative I would say is the water pressure was awful. However, this could easily be fixed with a different shower head I do believe. Parking was a little tight but enough for one car per unit.
Just outside the city but easy and quick to get there. Great stay!

The room was fine and comfortable. Not sure if this is a new thing but it seems a little weird there is no front desk.

The biggest negative is I booked a king suite. By no hotel reservation I've ever had was this a suite. There was a king bed and a foldout bed in the same room. I was expecting a bed in a separate room and a sitting area with the fold out. We had 2 couples. If I had known this was the arrangement I would have booked two queen beds.

Pluses were a convenient location to Petoskey and Charlevoix, it was easy to find, had a couple fire pits, and was clean.

Negatives besides the sleeping arrangements were the toilet/shower room was quite small and there was not enough lighting in the room.

Overall this is a property we would stay again, mostly for the location & overall cleanliness & room setup. Unfortunately, there is some overhead and neighboring room noise which wasn't ideal. (They are very upfront about it, however, even providing earplugs) I liked the frequent communication we got about things like check-in and check-out procedures. There is no staff on site, but I felt confident that if I had any issues I had someone I could contact. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed & sitting area, plus coffee pot and microwave/fridge for convenience. It was nice to have a view of the bay (although far off) and location was just far enough out of 'town' that you didn't feel it was crowded or too busy. I wouldn't say it is in walking distance to anything, however, so that is one downfall. There is a nice park within a mile, though, that is very nice for walking/biking and with a nice playground for kids.

The hotel is aptly named and the view of the bay is lovely when looking over the parked cars. While the beds were amazingly comfortable and the decor a nice touch the maintenance was not great. It’s clear the building is old with dated windows and ac unit. There was peeling paint in the bathroom and despite likely being average sized humans it sounded like we had giants overhead. Also keep in mind even on the main floor you will need to walk up steps. Also something I learned later (on me for not reading the captions) what I thought was a breakfast area or common area was in fact a separate house that could be rented. With a dedicated team of professionals I think this place has great potential but until replacements are made you’re in for road noise, a rattling ac unit, and peeling paint.

Less than impressive lodging.

The room was updated well for shower:bathroom, fridge, microwave & coffee. The decor was also refreshing. The code lock was also a great security tool.
Sadly the floor was extremely dirty. When going barefoot, especially after a shower our feet got black. Had to wear shoes to keep feet clean. One of the foam mattresses sank it eas such poor quality, making sleeping uncomfortable & contributing to back pain the next morning. Small children also ran & jumped until midnight above us one night.
