Room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was decent but there was no hot tub 😢 The parking lot was sketchy. It needs replaced or patched. There were people working on cars (plural) in the parking lot and roaming around. I didn't feel very safe staying here.

This was not a great place to stay. Not maintained well. Bathroom floor was dirty. Light bulbs not replaced. Drywall/plaster separating from the bathroom wall. For the price it was not worth it at all. I will not stay there again.

Parking was easy and safe. Staff was friendly, helpful, and available. It was freezing (snow storm) in Petoskey during our stay, the room was warm and comfortable. The pool was a great way to keep the kids entertained when we were snowed in.

The young woman at the desk was polite and much friendlier than many I've encountered. The bed was wonderful, and I very much appreciated being able to park right outside my unit.

However, the cleaning left a bit to be desired. There were hairs from previous guests in the shower and on the toilet. Coffee was still in the sink around the drain.

The most frustrating situation was the noise and behavior of other guests. While everyone was friendly and polite whenever I saw them, there were loud verbal arguments, at least one barking dog, and the frequent odor of pot being smoked. No room phone to contact the office left me no options. I was not satisfied with the experience and won't stay another time.

The breakfast was as expected from a Super 8, cold. The check in was not the smoothest as my card had already been charged, then charged again and reversed. House keeping started on my floor well before checkout time, they extremely noisy banging things around and talking extremely loud. I have never experienced house keeping like this, men house keeping, not that men can't do the work but it was very loud and I had gotten in late. Sucks to be me

Room blankets and bedding are not washed. One bed had red looking blood on the corner of the comforter. Notified the office and asked for a new blanket and an extra blanket. First night we froze because they said they “couldn't find” anymore blankets. The only bedside lamp did not work right, flickered and didn't turn on. One outlet next to the bed didn't work to maintain chargeable items like a phone. Toilet clogged during stay and staff took forever to find a plunger. Customer service was terrible. One worker on during our check-in and Saturday morning appeared annoyed, like I was a bother. Playing on her phone was more important. We requested additional towels, never received them. We have stayed in other areas hotels and this was by far the worst customer service. I understand the high turnover rate and trying to find solid candidates to work and clean a hotel. I have also worked in customer service in the cleaning industry, and many other areas and understand hearing complaints can be unsettling but to be rude, condescending, and have an unfriendly demeanor and presentation is undesirable and makes for awkward interactions without resolution for many of our concerns during our stay. Overall, I'd give 1 star. Won't be staying again and we will search elsewhere for accommodations for future trips to the area.

This is an older hotel that has had some cosmetic updates. The room wa comfortable but the bathroom is tiny. It is close to plenty of shopping and dining options and farther away from the main traffic in town.

Avoid this hotel

If you plan to stay here bring cleaning supplies. You will need to clean the room, especially the bathroom, first. Bring your own towels, pillows and sleep on top of the bed. Add in price gouging to what should have been a $50 room!

The staff was nice! We had to level the refrigerator legs. On one night of our stay we had workmen who were staying at the motel using loud fowl language right outside our room for a couple of hours. The in room phone was broken. Pool was nice.

So sorry to say, I ignored other reviews
The property / rooms were very Dirty.. Sheets were clean but Floor and counters not so much.. Did not even shower because it had hair and a bug in it

Had to stay 2 nights.. I asked maid if she could clean it while I was gone,,,came back bed was made and garbage removed...she never touched the bath or toilet

so very disapointed... They are building 3 new Hotels around this Super 8...I believe they are just waiting to be purchased by a Corporation and will be demolished

It was a place to stay. But I would say have very low expectations. We slept there but it was dirty smelly and trash was on the sidewalk. The beds were not clean. The bathroom is not finished and grimmy. Lightbulbs were missing from the lamps.

Ok. So I read a lot of reviews after I made the reservation. Many gave some real horror stories. We had no real issues. Room was clean enough. Bed was fine. NO BEDBUGS SEEN ANYWHERE. Or cockroaches either. Staff was nice. Place was quiet. Its just kind of an old place but honestly we slept fine and the shower was warm. All anyone needs for a night. Price was kinda high for what you get but for that area everthing is not cheap. We had a single king room. Pleasant dreams!

It was wy over priced for what you got. The prices were jacked way up because it was a summer weekend in Petoskey which is always crowdwd. But in addition there was a travel baseball tournament in town for the weekend so apparently they felt they could up the rates to something really ridiculous for what you got.

We liked the fact that we could park right in front of the room.
We didn’t like that the carpet in our room was wet. Very small bathroom and the floor in there was continually wet and the linoleum was very discolored.
Also, could see daylight through the cracks of the door.
Needs some major upgrades! Not worth the money we paid!

It was VERY small. They put me in the upstairs corner. No elevator that i found. To get to the lobby you have to go outside or scale the stairs by the pool. Not convenient what so ever. My comforter had white spots on it which i worked in a hotel and thaf def hadnt been washed. Sheets were clean though. It had only two towels that were well used and very small. The front desk wasn't friendly really at all when I asked where my room was she was kind of rude about helping me locate it. Am desk lafy was very kind though. Breakfast was cereal and frozen breakfast sandwiches
Muffins were frozen and the only friut was apples. I went to grab stuff out of my car and there was a drunk guy that was trying to talk to me even though I was trying to ignore him. He was also with a another car that was blaring music and partying. I'm a single woman so it was a little intimidating. Sm tine the same man was up at 6 am slamming doors and yelling. Room is clean for the most part but the bathroom needs a good scrubbing. The shower curtain was tattered and somebody used the toilet and didn't flush before so that was kind of gross. Anyway it was cheap and definitely got my money's worth. Sleepless and hungry.

Desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. Walking through the breezeway at 11 at night I was hit with an INTENSE odor of marijuana!! It could not be missed or mistaken!! The fact that a no smoking sign is around the corner didn’t escape me. Some obviously not sober older man came walking toward me talking about the vending machines which I was stopped at to grab a snack. I have no clue who he was talking to or if he even knew but he made me feel very uneasy. Definitely not a place I will stay again as it didn’t feel safe and has a run down seedy feel about it.

The staff was awesome! They allowed me to have a late check out since I was staying for a morning half marathon. The bed was very firm which I was not a fan of, but cozy pillows. Room was clean, but when I went to take a bath after my run- I had to pre-clean areas that got overlooked.

The price was great. The room was clean, but the bedding had a cigarette smell. The facility is very old, painting and trim is very sloppy. The fan in the bathroom did not work. The facility has reached its end of life. The desk attendants were helpful, but were not dressed appropriately for business.

The pool was closed but you didn't know that until you got there and there was a written note on the check in door that said it was closed for maintenance. BY the looks of it, it is always closed for maintenance.

Bedroom was not very clean. Bathtub was gross. Half the hotel seemed to be permanent residence. I would not stay there again especially for the full price. Staff was ok but not super friendly.
