The room and the food were both good but the biggest is just that about no one speaks English there (I met just one who did.

Of all the people, all were Asian except me.

The hotel is huge and difficult to navigate
Posting more directional signals would be a big benefit.

Hotel is dated and needs a refurbishment. The addition of a heat pool would allow for winter swimming like at other hotels in Sanya. Restaurants were limited in selection and tired. Location seemed away from the any other decent off-site dining so overall not a great location if you are looking for a winter retreat.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were clean. The pool area was fantastic. Several different swimming areas with many different activities. Food and drink service at the pool and room service took 30-40 minutes. On our first day, lunch took over an hour to receive our food. We had to remind them of our drink order and that was received about 40 minutes after it was first ordered. Swimming is not allowed in the ocean. Overall, the staff was helpful and friendly but I was disappointed in the service times. Although, this is very typical of China.

We were looking for a resort away from the hustle and bustle and this was it! Great service, great food, everyone was super friendly. The rooms were a little musty would be my only complaint. A big shoutout to our restaurant server, Devin! He took such great care of our dining and beverage needs from start to finish! I would defintely go back. Note that you cannot swim in the ocean here because of the currents but it’s a beautiful private beach to walk along and stick your toes in.

Unforgettable experience.

The hotel was well maintained. Great service! Beautiful and quiet beach. We enjoyed the pool side restaurant for lunch, full of sunshine and gorgeous view. The tennis court left us with happy memory. We got updated to the ocean view room. Every morning woke up with amazing sunrise view.

Additionally they provided a romantic dinner on the beach for two for a very good price and I would recommend it to any couple. This was a wonderful hotel and experience

The hotel was huge with beautiful grounds to wander through. I loved the location right on the long sandy beach. Staff were all lovely, although if you're English, communication is challenging with most of them.
The thing that surprised me was the lack of restaurants & how small they were for such a large hotel, but having said that I ate at the Star Fish each evening & it was never that busy. I don't know where everyone else was! The food was very good, except a lunch time salad which took 45mins & was basically a pile of leaves, not as described in the menu. So I cancelled my order & had an icecream instead! The very friendly manager didn't charge me for a cocktail that afternoon to make up for the salad fiasco!

The staff was very accomodating and provided great service. The pools were really nice and the views of the ocean were beautiful. The lobby was also beautiful. I went to the spa and received an amazing massage. However, the food was too overpriced and not that tasteful. Also, the beach was inaccessible due to algae. The room was also dissappointing. It was dirty. There were ants, a dirty floor, mildew in the bathroom and dirty sheets. Every day I woke up with bites on my arms and legs. Something was biting me in the bed. After requesting another room, the biting stopped. The second room was better cleaned with no ants and cleaner sheets. Overall, the resort is beautiful from the outside but needs an upgrade in the inside. The staff is wonderful and I thank them for all of their help.

At first glance the hotel is impressive with a large lobby and expansive grounds. But the little things start to add up, detracting from the overall experience.

Missing staff: go to get a towel for the pool and the kiosk is empty. Found the staff member though, smoking and in his phone around the corner.

Room: it's ok but it has that made in a developing country feel. Items are not installed right, switches are tilted. Doors slats not straight. And from my balcony was large patches of where they fixed the wall, but looks like a construction site unfinished. I call it the Chinese building code. Broken in 1 year

Pool: large but full of weeds and leaves. Broken tiles cut me three times on my foot. Water was too warm and smelt.

So yeh overall it's ok. But I would t come back as those little detractions add up

Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Only the beach and sea was enjoyable and pleasant!
Reasons being:
- My grandmother booked a better room category than me (sea view room), but received EXACTLY the same room
- Front desk would refuse to \"upgrade\" her for free, insisting that room was her category (You could guess there was a sea due to the sound of the waves and if you peered through the palm trees)
- Free wifi only after fighting with front desk
- Gym impossible to find without wondering around for 15 min
- Breakfast was so bad we went to eat outside (I'm Chinese and love Chinese food, so cuisine wasn't the problem) - but to be fair, the hotel was indeed catering to hundreds of mainland Chinese which always involves chaos and huge wastage (perhaps offer \"free flow\" off a menu instead of buffet)
- \"Adult pool\" was full of children; staff couldn't be bothered refusing entry to families because \"they'd just fight\"
- Bar had either corked or horrific wines
- A la carte food just as bad as buffet
- Poor girl at \"pool bar\" served me tea in a milk decanter
- \"Pool bar\" was unattended so that we had to go inside to order and eat
Out of 4 nights we dined for lunch and dinner outside at other, so much better, hotels like rosewood or the hyatt.

I booked this hotel as part of an Expedia package. The first leg of the package was a flight from Beijing to Sanya. After a ten hour delay the flight was canceled. I spent one hour and forty minutes on the telephone trying to cancel the reservation. As it was 1:15 in the morning, Expedia could not reach anyone at the hotel. I was told my reservation would be canceled and my money refunded. In following up with the hotel because I was a no-show there would be no refund. I can understand paying for the one missed night but there was sufficient notice to canceling the two remaining nights. Do not book this hotel unless you can absolutely guarantee you can make the journey to Sanya.

Expedia was no help in the matter. I did receive a full refund from the airline.

Nice views if you booked seaview... I got 3 rooms facing the sea directly and so near to the private beach.

Breakfast is extensive...... Some people said the breakfast area is crowded. But not to me, probably we had ours before 9am.

This hotel is located on Yezhou beach, very far from Sanya town.... But its the privacy you are paying for....

The building is beautiful and modern. The staff really let it down. In general, the staff seem unhappy. They have managed to find the only person in China who does not like children and put her in the kids club. The kids club lacks facilities and is very dirty. Restaurants are mediocre and overpriced. Very comfortable stay and great value for the money. Great choice if you are just looking for a relaxing time by the pool or by the beach. Lots of activities for kids and very clean kids club. The staff in the kids club are friendly and there were even day camp for kid. A la Carte menu for all activities in the hotel. (e.g. even table tennis table cost USD$10) Lots of choices for restaurants within the hotel. Do try the Chinese restaurant in the hotel, which offers the best quality of food among all the others.
Only downside is that the hotel private beach always has strong under current and dangerous for swimming.

The staff was very attentive and helpful but I had to request items to be restocked a couple of times as it was missed during cleaning. The room was very nice but there was a noticeable stain on the rug. It was ocean front and an short, easy walk to the beach from the room but it was sold as ocean view and the only thing visible were trees and not the ocean. The facilities were as expected. It is a great place to get away.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and we had a great time. The only bad part is the accessibility to the nearby atteactions from the hotel. We had no choice but to call reataurant van to pick us up after 4pm as there was no taxi in the hotel after that time. But the hotel bus is really convenient tho a bit dirty. Overall stay, very nice for interior and service.

Great hotel with pretty good services

It was a very relaxing stay for us and we enjoyed all the pools so bad! There were very less customers using the pools that we could have a good time. Have buffet breakfast during our stay. Food choices was so so. Very touched by notes left to us by housekeeping everyday after they cleaned our room. Very caring and considerate message. However, had bad experience with the concierge once when we were trapped in town late night failed to catch a taxi back to hotel. Other than that, it was a very great vacation for us.

Wonderful getaway for the family.

Hotel is excellent for kids! Lot of attractions, the beach.... Staff is very friendly. They knew we were going with kids so they've arranged some gifts and attractions for them in the check-in.
Beach is very clean and huge. There's a lot of space for running, building sand castles, etc... I have only one small suggestions: In the beach the sunshades are very few. If you want to grab one you must go there early in the morning or you'll have to sit down in the sand.

Beautiful and well maintained resort. The staff was great and very attentive. The Navigator will arrange a car and driver for any day trips you wish to take on the island. Food and beverage are overpriced. Find the beverage hut across from the 'Seafood Booth' for affordable drink. The private beach and pool are very nice. Not much in the immediate area, but if you come for seclusion, you can't beat it. The hotel offers a shuttle to town. There is a great little international supermarket on the 5th floor of Summer Mall. Grab some provisions and bring them back. We hated to leave, so memorable experience for us and highly recommended.

A beautifully designed hotel set amidst tranquil lush gardens. During our visit the hotel was very quiet which sorted our choice of break. The staff are friendly and attentive. The public Reas are kept clean and cool. The spa lacked a little refinement and the spa staff struggled with explaining the facilities and treatments in English. The restaurants and bars were very good and the one night when live entertainment was offered the standard was high.
The beach was clean with plenty of loungers and cabanas. There was a lack of poolside and beach service which was disappointing.

Epic hotel in the middle of nowhere

Amazing nice hotel. Just too isolated! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There is one more hotel in the neighbourhood. All you can see around are farming fields and the works. There are no pubs, no restaurants, no shops, no markets, no public transport at all! The only place you can eat is the hotel. The beach outside the hotel area is full of rubbish and glass fragments. And be aware, chinese in this island just don't speak english!!! There are only couple of people in the hotel reception who have basic english skills. Only the minority can speak russian. The good new is that the nearest civilisation is dadonghai bay, 1 h away from the hotel. And there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel twice a day.
The hotel itself is epic and gigantic though! There are plenty of merits as well: amazing huge territory and buildings, nice park, gigantic swimming pool, jacuzzi, clean beach, helpful staff, delicious food, spa, fitness etc. The hotel offers a variety of entertainments, however some of them are extremely expensive (body massage cost around £60-80...)

From the Check in Desk it was all Bad servise, Check in person tried to make us Pay for Breakfast again after itr was clearly marked inclusive , same deal for the extra bed for my child , ended calling for the manager , Who on;y said 2 words. The main problem with the RENAISSANCE Sanya is the Lack of Training with there staff , and Managers do not pull them in line , The food &beverage staff just do not know what to do , and they are always standing around taking together and ignoring the customers , it can only get worse when all the other MEGA RESORTS in HAITANG BAY are finished , where do you get trained staff ?????????,

Attended a conference at this hotel. Smooth check-in, and happy to land in an Oceanview King which was enormous! Service was very good, although English proficiency of the staff is very limited aside from the Front Desk staff. Restaurant quality was excellent, service and food very good. Service was vastly improved after I whipped out my Google Translate app and dictated my order to the staff in Chinese via the app.
Spa and fitness center area is beautiful.
Pool are extensive and well maintained.
Only complaint is that the beach in unusable - too much trash washing up onshore from Haitang Bay, likely washed south to Hainan from Guangzhou via ocean currents. The hotel employs a small army of people to constantly clean up the beach, but until this problem is cleaned up then choose the pools over the beach.

Beautiful hotel at reasonable price

We stayed at this resort with my two little girls (3 and 4) for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is definitely value for money. The hotel is great for kids, it is right in front of a private beach, it has a big kids pool with water slides, lots of sun chairs, and a big kids clubhouse. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too, they have a big selection of food and a really nice bakery corner. The only complaint I have is the lack of staffing in the front desk, especially during the peak check-out hrs from 11am - 1pm. The average wait time to be served for anything during that time is 30-45min, totally unacceptable.

This resort was amazing. The staff were well trained and many spoke English. The landscape was beautiful, pools and beach were clean. You will really enjoy this resort. My room had a musty smell, that is why I gave it a 4 rating and the beds are traditional \"hard\". But overall I enjoyed our stay. Make sure you bring the hotel phone number in case the taxi driver needs directions. Also there are no taxis that go this far out so the hotel will help you hire private drivers, which I liked better. There is no need to leave the resort as they have everything here.

Make sure your room includes the buffet breakfast.

Hotel is poorly kept, wall paper is falling off, hallways are not lit at night, dirt in our hotel room upon arrival...etc. The only thing that looks \"kept\"is the hotel lobby. There's no life guard on duty at any of the pools, and the most disgusting things I've ever encountered in my lifetime happened all 3 days of my trip at the hotel pools. First, children are peeing into the bushes just to the side of the pool, girls (around 9yrs old) are not in bathing suits and is only covered by their underwear (bottom only), boys are totally naked, and the MOST disgusting thing was I witnessed a 6yr old boy POOPING by the shrubs just off the kiddie pool!!!

Overall, good hotel with a brand name.
Location is very bad, you need to eat in the hotel, hotel restaurant is relatively expensive. If you have to go out for dinning, it takes an hour.
Hotel gets old, the door. The ceiling is dirty.
All facilities in hotel charge extra, it makes the trip a lot of consideration.
The hotel staff, they try hard to please you, but, it is an expensive China trip.
In general, Thailand holiday trip is much attractive then the china one.

Fantastic Swimming Pool

Great resort. Unbelievable swimming pool. The largest hotel pool I have seen. Large comfortable rooms which could be a little cleaner. Weird glass doors on their toilets. Excellent breakfast buffet. We tried all of the other restaurants. Probably the Chinese one being the best for quality and value. All staff were very helpful. The hotel is located a long way from anywhere so you need to hire a local car and driver to go anywhere. Local taxis do not come out this far. Recommended.

A Place to Relax

A wonderful 6 day stay! The pool is amazing, their private beach is well-maintained. Service is excellent. The only problem we had while at the hotel is the fact that they weren't prepared for the number of guests they had, and the breakfast queue got very long. If you want to leave the hotel for any reason, it's difficult. The regular taxis won't pick up there because it's so far out of the way. But, we found very little reason to leave!

I am a seasoned traveller and was on holiday in Sanya with the family. I booked Renaissance on Expedia and was unsure of what to expect... although the pictures looked great it is daily new so there were limited reviews. I can safely say this is one of the most impressive hotels we have ever visited. Stunning, amazing architecture, excellent service, buffets to die for, pristine quiet private beach, breathtaking gardens and expansive pools. On top of all this our kids loved the games Arcade, which features everything from Wifi and pool to bowling and much more... From our 19 year old nephew to our youngest who is 3 years old, the kids were fully occupied and loving every single day. If I has to mentioned any downsides I would say the room cleaning could have been a tad bit more thorough, and the layout of the hotel means you walk rather alot ... But I suppose that could be a plus, depending on how you look at it :o) An excellent hotel and I will certainly recommend it to my friends!

Beautiful Resort away from hustle and bustle

Hotel was beautiful; grounds were fantastic and rooms were clean and well kept. The resort is away from the town area, but that was what we preferred. If someone wanted to take daily trips to town, the location would be inconvenient. The beach was very nice, however if you wanted to spend much time in the ocean, this would probably not suit you. There were man beautiful pools at the resport - water a bit cool, but it had been overcast for several days. The jacuzzi pools were also on the cooler side - would personally preferred them to be much hotter. Not being regular guests at such resorts, we were surprised at how expensive food was. Probably typical for this level of resort, but quite high for our budget.

We stayed at this newly build hotel 3days. It is located in 40-1hr. trip from the airport and the town, and if you are the first-rounder @ Hainan Island, we recommend to stay at more popular area. However, the hotel service is quite good, although some employees are not able to speak English, and there are too many staffs just standing around (but you can see this situation everywhere in China). The food was great at every restaurant, especially the seafood restaurant and the morning buffet. Their pancakes are must try. Fluffy, butterly, just the way it should be. Strongly recommend with topping of fresh blueberries. Overall, it is recommend for the second-player of Hainan Island or family who would like to spende the time at hotel with relaxed atomosphere.

到着時ドアマン、ベルスタッフがいず荷物が多い私たちはチェックインカウンターまで荷物を運ぶ事に。施設の老朽化が進んでいて、部屋のシャワーのでお湯が出なかったり洗面ボールの栓が壊れていて水が貯められなかったり漏水もあった。1日利用できるレストランは2つしかなく、選択肢がなかった。苦情をいいアップグレードしてもらった。ただロケーションは素晴らしくホテルの規模も大きいので、サービスが充実し施設の改修など進めば良いホテルなのだと思う。

可以媲美泰國的渡假感

園區腹地很廣，後院及泳池寬闊舒服，還有私人沙灘，很多人來拍婚紗照，大廳挑高氣派，整體環境不錯雖然有點年代感有重新翻修過不致於老舊，唯一點是客房服務比較慢常沒人接電話，可能人手不足吧

糟糕的體驗

房間蟲太多了，平常門窗要關好。服務態度很一般，設備很舊，客房電話都沒聲音。我訂的是海景房，房間離大堂很遠，走了快要10分鐘，結果進房間看窗外，根本就是椰子樹景房，海景都看不到，懶得回去換房了，感覺被擺了一道。下次再去三亞絕對不住這裡。

Anfahrtsbeschreibung ist falsch!!!
Das Hotel liegt zwar an der Haitang Bay, wegen einer Flussmündung kommt man allerdings nur über die Autobahn zu den anderen Hotels beim Atlantis und dem Shoppingcenter

這酒店靠近的海灘和游泳池是不錯的，但酒店位罝十分偏僻荒涼，附近沒有食店，只有在酒店內的餐廳，但價錢很貴。酒店內的設施都幾乎要收費，而且偏貴。因為酒店離市區十分遠，酒店來往市區的接駁巴士每天只有兩班，建議岀外要包車或自駕遊。酒店設備比想像中舊，露台多昆蟲。

位置偏僻服務佳風景美

酒店附近沒有人煙，距離街市（只是一些小店和大排檔，衛生堪慮）步行約20分鐘，聽說有一間免稅店可以逛逛，但是我們已經走累了還沒看見，只好搭taxi回酒店。叫taxi要碰運氣，因為不一定有車經過。三餐都得在酒店吃，價錢不便宜，但圖個食物乾淨，味道還不錯。
酒店服務人員的態度很好。酒店亭園規劃設計不錯，有看頭。連接的海灘風景非常美麗，值得逗留。

방도 크고 깨끗하고 직원들도 친절합니다 수영하기엔 날씨가 좀 추웠지만 따뜻한 자쿠지가 있어 괜찮았어요 식사할곳이 마땅찮은데 택시타고 5분정도 거리에 로컬식당들이 쫙 있어서 이틀을 그곳에서 이용했는데 택시들이 그곳에 안갈려고 합디다 자기들이 안내하는 식당으로 가야한다고 하는것같아서 둘째날은 걸어서 갔어요 식당이 정말 대박이었거든요 음식들도 맛있고 너무친절해서 숙소보다 기억에 더 남습니다

設施完善，不錯的酒店

這是一次相當不錯的體驗，酒店裏有不少設施供小朋友玩，但是很多活動沒有明確的指示，比如想參加沙灘活動時沒有人可以明確告訴我在哪裡，找了很久也沒找到活動地點。有些設施顯得有點舊，但總體還是不錯的，我的孩子玩得開心。

地方寬趟、心曠神怡

踏入酒店嘅第一步，覺得心境特別開朗，接待處的員工也很細心，房間的整潔也做得很好，晚上酒廊那位琴師和女歌手很不錯，泳池夠大足夠游個夠脾，在酒店的私人沙灘裏吹着海風飲住椰青hea到呢⋯⋯整體來講我對這間酒店有90%滿意。

Room is too noisy & smelly

The hotel is a bit rundown. It's also too far from city which makes the commute rather inconvenient. Probably due to lack of air flow and humidity, the room is smelly. Also, because of its open bath design, using partitions rather than doors to separate bathroom from bedroom, every bit of noise generated from the bathroom and toilet can be clearly heard, making it very disturbing esp during sleep. Furniture, door knob, amenities, are all rundown. Overall speaking, a rather poor experience. The only nice surprise is its Chinese restaurant.

è stata la prima volta che vi ho soggiornato, l' hotel si trova in zona totalmente decentrata, la colazione è prevalentemente cinese ed offre poca scelta di pietanze occidentali, oltretutto già mezz'ora prima della chiusura della sala colazioni le pietanze che finiscono non vengono rimpiazzate e questa la trovo una cosa inammissibile per un hotel a 5 stelle!!!
ho avuto modo di provare il ristorante a buffet starfish ed ho mangiato molto bene.
Le camere sono spaziose ma sporche, mi è capitato di uccidere 2 scarafaggi e la cosa spiacevole è che non si può aprire la finestra in quanto subito entrano vari insetti tra cui le zanzare.
Le piscine sono molto belle ma purtroppo anche li si fa sentire la mancanza di pulizia.
La connessione wifi è gratuita ma poco veloce, sicuramente non ci ritornerò nei miei prossimi viaggi!!!

Above average stay as we had trouble with alarm

We requested a room on high floor but eventually were given a room on ground floor. The room we stayed at had the fire alarm sounded over times until we requested for the switching off of the alarm till after mid-night. As a result , we didn't sleep well at all.

海南島三亜ルネッサンス

ホテルの部屋のことやその他のことでスタッフに相談した際、対応が親切でした。またプールも広くて景色も良くて快適でした。ホテル内のレストランは割高な印象も受けましたが全体的に味もよく、特に朝食は充実していて満足した。祝日と平日でレストランの内容や値段が変更されていた。平日メニューの方が金額が安くなり内容も充実していたように感じた。ホテルの部屋からの景色も良くて夕焼けを見ながらベランダでゆっくり過ごすのも良かった。オーシャンビューの部屋に泊まりましたが、眺めが良くて部屋も広く清潔でした。オーシャンビューでないと景色は期待できないかもしれません。

非常喜欢这个酒店，我也算是住过几个好酒店，不知道为什么那么多评价挑剔，酒店的景观已经很不错啦，宽敞、广阔，卫生间里有浴缸，有吸顶式大喷头，有阳台，阳台上放了个沙发，坐在那儿吹着风看看星星真是不错的感觉，沙滩的沙很细，我带小朋友去挖螃蟹，结果连个小石头都没有挖到，浪很大，给了我不一样的感觉，有两个小的恒温泳池，水热热的，适合小朋友天冷的时候泡一泡。服务员很贴心，基本上算是有求必应，尤其是在人这么多的情况下，酒店很大，如果不是吃早饭，我还真不知道酒店住着这么多这么多的人。酒店因为偏僻，所以附近的东西也便宜，但是都需要开车才能到。总之，住的很开心，下次来还会住这里。

交通不便,shuttle bus 只有每天兩班。除了taxi,別無他選。

G98公路維修,從市區去酒店十分不便。Taxi 司機都不懂怎樣去。其他交通公具亦没有。
健身中心不錯,設備很好,員工態度殷勤和主動幫忙,很好!

超级棒的住宿体验

此次在三亚住的最棒的一家酒店，CHECK IN时前台看到有小孩，免费给升级成了豪华海景套房，房间棒极了。宽敞的客厅、卧室和硕大的卫生间和衣帽间，双阳台，非常舒适。酒店整体有一种宫殿的感觉，豪华、舒适、大气。绿化和无边泳池都超级棒。就是早餐时人太多，后来听从酒店人员建议，早一点去就餐就好了许多。适合泡酒店度假。

テーマパーク級のホテル

空港からのシャトルバスで北へ約２時間のロケーション。ホテル側が用意してる大型シャトルバスのサービスは１日２便限定なので、時間が合わなければ交通費はそれなりに払うことになる。ホテルのあるエリアは周りには畑以外何も無く、１５分程歩くとローカルなスーパーやレストランが何軒かある程度。買い物というとホテルの無料シャトルバスでDFS（約４０分）と市内中心（約１時間）に行くことが出来るが、これも午前・午後の１日２便で買い物帰りは基本タクシーである。アクセスは悪いが、ルネッサンスの最大の魅力はそんなロケーションだからこそ可能なテーマパーク級のホテルライフである。
ウォーターパーク並のプールや植物園レベルの整備されたガーデン。敷地内を歩くだけでも２km強。宮殿のようなロビーから見渡す外の眺めは息をのむ美しさ。プライベートビーチは、砂も柔らかく、遊泳ゾーンもある（波は高い）。ビーチチェアの数も何ダースもあり、サッカーやバレーの設備やアクティビティプランも充実しており、スタッフ在中のスタンドには無料のウォーターサーバーもある（ドリンク・軽食サービスはない）。ガーデンとビーチの境には無料で使える屋根付きのベッドが何カ所か設置されており、ラグジュアリーなリゾートライフを満喫できる。
ホテル内のレストランは様々なジャンルがあり、バーやカフェもある（シーサイドBBQ等はない）。朝食のブッフェは洋食から中国料理（ローカルフードは少ない）まで数多くのディッシュが用意され、連泊でも食べ飽きない。ランチやディナーの値段はそれなりにするので、外部のレストランからのデリバリーを受け取る中国人の宿泊者も多数見られた。
スパやジム、ビジネスセンターやアミューズメントエリア（ゲーム機・パソコン・ミニシアター・ビリヤード・ボーリングまで！）の設備も最高である。各施設のスタッフの対応もレセプション並みに良かった。
部屋の内装もとてもよく、開放感あるラグジュアリーな作りである。しかし構造上、バルコニーの柵がコンクリートの部屋もあるので（基本はガラス）、広いバルコニーにあるソファーからの眺めが悪い部屋もある。
