stayed one night here and it was perfectly adequate. we were upgraded to a larger room on the top floor, it was spacious but the toilet seat wasn't clean. appreciated the in-room laundry facilities though.

breakfast was included and it was quite good, it also starts at 6:30am which was convenient as we had an early flight out. the hotel is well-located in tenjin and about 3 minutes' walk from tenjin-minami subway station.

Very good location and convenient to public transport and walking distance to major shopping hotspots. The facilities are modern and stylish. However as this is an apartment hotel service is limited especially for cleaning. One merit to mention is that each room is equipped with a washing/drying machine and thus save space for extra clothes, but the minus is that the pantry doesn't have any cooking utensils (cooking knife, pots, cutting board, crockery, cutlery, dish washing liquid etc.) except an electric kettle, tea cups and spoons, and if you want to do some very basic cooking like cooking an instant noodle you have to rent a saucepan or pot or chopsticks from the reception. This was an experience different from what we jad visited other chain apart hotels. To be fair then other hotels you jave to share washing and drying facilities in public laundry.

A low key modern Japanese style hotel with the perfect setup for a longer stay by those who prefer to be self sufficient travelers. The Japanese sized hotel rooms include a large combined washer/dryer unit for which the laundry detergent is provided for. They also come with a small fridge, a microwave, a small kitchen sink and kitchen counter. Additionally, a kitchen kit, consisting of an induction hotplate, a medium sized pot, a knife, a ladle, a cutting board and a scrubbing pad can be obtained from the front desk.

Most, if not all, of the department stores adjacent to the hotel have wonderful grocery stores in their basement level, with, as is typical in Japan, everything already beautifully packaged in small sizes appropriate for Japanese small kitchens as well as lots of fully prepared meals.

The hotel also offers a breakfast buffet in their ground floor restaurant, which, though with a smaller offering than that at some other hotels, still makes for a fine Japanese style breakfast with a rotating assortment of Japanese breakfast items.

Note that for the longer stays, the rooms are made up once weekly, with an included daily towel exchange service. For our culturally immersive travelling style, this hotel perfectly met our needs.

Nice budget hotel for a comfortable short stay in Fukuoka. Conveniently located with plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and bars nearby. About a 25-minute walk from the central train station (going to Nagasaki, and other nearby cities), Canal City area, and the mall with the Pokémon Center. Room was clean, well-kept, and reasonably sized (by Japan standards lol). Staff was polite and helpful. Not a fancy hotel (no real amenities), but great value for the price, perfect for a good night’s rest after a full day of exploring.

It was great to have laundry within our room. All staff were wonderful except for minor language barriers.
Sadly we changed room once, and almost a second time. The first room we got we found long strands of hair under the sheet cover, and also found an used bandaid just under the bed visibly seeable when standing next to the bed. Took pictures to inform the staff and requested a cleaning, but with minor language barrier, staff offered a new room, we took it. The next room was clean, but the bath tub doesnt drain. Again, we video recorded the water not draining to staff and they offered to clean the tub while we head out for dinner. Unfortunately the draining issue was never fixed, and again the staff kindly offered another room. We didnt want to move again as we already unpacked and was hoping they can try to fix the issue. Sadly it wasn't fixable and we just had to finish our showers with water covering our foot from not draining sufficiently for the rest of our stay. Its questionable whether the cleaners actually wash the bathtub, the water draining issue should've been caught then.
Didnt want to be a nuisance as all staff were busy and very tentative at the time when offered another room.
Great location, we dont mind coming back but hopefully they can improve on cleaniness and room inspections before use.

I did not take advantage of the breakfast service, but my room was quiet and cozy. The water pressure is a real treat, as well as having an in-room washer dryer! Staff were helpful. It’s close to all kinds of interesting things, and a half hour or less’ walk to Hakata station (if you don’t want to take the 地下鉄🚇).

We usually stay at a Tokyu Stay location and are always happy with our experience. What was amazing on this trip was that the Hotel Manager helped us flag down a van taxi when he noticed we were having trouble reserving one. He walked up the street and came running back with a taxi for our size group and helped us load the bags. What awesome service!!! Arigato Gozaimasu!

It was a 5 minute walk from the train station and there were several eating places steps away and across the street. Lawsons right next door. Big department stores right down the street so it was in a very convenient area. The hotel room was very spacious and clean. There was an ironing press and some kind of washing machine in the room (instructions in Japanese and we didn't need it so we didn't inquire).The staff were polite, cheerful, and very helpful when we asked questions. They spoke English. There was coffee, water, and all kinds of free amenities in the lobby like room slippers, shower caps, etc.

I've stayed here multiple times, and I always have a very pleasant stay. The location is perfect, it's very central and you can walk to most places or hop on the subway, which is also very close by. The rooms are always clean and well-ventilated. The staff are extremely attentive and willing to help even if there can be a bit of a language barrier (though that's more on me for not having great Japanese skills).

In terms of value, location, and staff service, I really can't think of a better place to stay. Can't wait to be back again!

We stayed for 5 nights at the beginning of September in the middle of a heatwave - the AC kept the room cool and comfortable. Having a washer/dryer in the room was a huge bonus as well - it was very convenient. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet - we rarely (if ever) heard noise from other guests or rooms. The breakfast buffet downstairs at the Italian restaurant we delicious and convenient - serving from 6:30am - 9:30am (I think - it may have ended slightly later). Would definitely stay again.

it's mixed feelings actually. The location is great, with lots of food options available within walking distance. Easy acess to public transportation as well.
The room was well appointed. Not spacious but i think by Japanese standards, this is considered pretty good. Beddings comfortable and the room is very clean. Love the range of toiletries offered from bath sponge to combs. And the breakfast, tho not a huge range, was adequate and yummy.
The staff are also very polite.

BUT i encountered theft in my room!. Something which i had least expected in a Japanese hotel (and am well travelled in Asia and Europe).
On the 1st day (check in day), I had left my phone charger adaptor in the room for a couple of hours while we popped out for dinner. When back, couldnt find it & thought maybe it had dropped under the furnitures. Didnt bother & went to bed.

Searched under furnitures, & even trashbin the next morning, but to no avail. All that's left was the empty adaptor pouch. Went for the hotel breakfast provided & came back to room within 45mins, and the adaptor pouch which i left on the bed had disappeared!!!

Went down to reception to ask if they are able to check their cctvs to see who has entered my room.

No updates for the rest of the day.

Checked out the next day and was asked if i had found the adaptor and pouch. I asked about cctvs, and they admitted there are NO cctvs on guest floors! So all i got was an apology. This was very disappointing.

We had previously stayed in other Tokyu Stay hotels and decided to try Tokyu Stay Tenjin for 2 nights.

As with all their hotels, it comes with in-room washing machine, microwave and a coffee machine at the lobby.

The room is fairly spacious, very clean and in a convenient location. The front desk staff was also very kind to help us fill out the forms for the luggage courier service.

We would definitely stay here again for our future visits.

Nice rooms in a convenient location near the Tenjin Underground mall and subway. Lots of dining and shopping nearby. The customer service was fine, but not as wonderful as the other hotels I stayed at while in Japan. No coffee offered in rooms and the coffee machine in the lobby was not working. Also we were told we could get a cab to the airport early in the morning, but the day of found out that was not the case and had to hail a cab ourselves.

I like the location. It is not in the middle of everything but in between Nakatsu and Tenji. The hotel is a little dated. The hallway is a little dimmed with reddish brown carpet. A little creepy to me. Room is much brighter. Annoying that there are hairs on the bathroom floor. The breakfast is almost the same every morning with 4 hot items repeat every other day. The staff at breakfast are great. Hotel staff are great also.

This hotel is located in a great area Fukuoka’s Tenjin area. We walked everywhere using the hotel as a base. The hotel room was small but manageable with our two big suitcases. It’s great that they have a washer/dryer combo. We did some laundry using Google Translate app.

This hotel was a good fit for our family of three adults. Located in Tenjin Miami which is a short ride from the airport via Hakata station first then a transfer. Choose the Daimaru exit 3 escalator if with big or heavy luggages, otherwise use exit 6 for two flight of stairs and then walk two blocks to reach the hotel. The hotel stored our luggage since we arrived early. Room was clean and adequate, toiletries provided at reception although no body lotion nor coffee sachets. You have to go to reception to get coffee from the machine. A godsend was the washing machine inside the room.

Overall, my experience was great here.

The location is walking distance for major shopping zones, public transportation, and local yatai hubs.

The staff were super friendly, and helpful.

The room amenities were great. I was doing the diamond tour of Japan as a first time visitor. So, I went from Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and finally to Fukuoka. It was only at Tokyu Stay that my room gave me access to a microwave, and laundry machine. This helps alleviate the burden of having to take care of these daily action items while on vacation. With such easy access to such amenities, you get to get back to enjoying your vacation that much faster.

Would I recommend this hotel to a friend/family member? Definitely.
