Great hotel with amazing general manager

I normally don’t leave reviews for hotels but I had to for this one. The service provided by the general manager, Paul (anglicized version of name), was truly exceptional. We were only staying for only a few hours while waiting for a flight so he ensured we got the best of our stay. He gave a us a dinner to replace the breakfast we wouldn’t be able to take advantage of. Also a very nice, clean and new hotel. Highly recommend

The hotel was comfortable and clean. My window had been left open, so there were some bugs in the room. Also, I could hear the sound of the nightclub that is in the basement of the hotel. That being said, the staff was very accommodating; helping me print some documents and schedule transportation to the airport.

Worth the stay

The staffs are friendly and have good service mind.

The facility in the room is equipped with all you need.

Breakfast buffet is okay.

Gym and swimming pool are closed by 20.00 but can ask for flexible hours.

There is a bar/restaurant (MUSSO) at the underground floor opening 18.00-24.00 with live band starting from 20.00.

There are numbers of parking space for bus and car. The nearby hotel (Mini S) serves nice coffee.

The hotel offers great value for money in a quiet location away from the tourist areas. I had the pool to myself every day. I really enjoyed the friendly staff and their attention to detail. It is not near the shopping or market parts of town and you would need to get transportation to those areas. If you don’t have your own transportation then you can use tuk tuk or taxi easy enough and the staff will help with that.
I am a regular visitor to vte fir business and will stay here again

The room was comfortable and well-appointed with a separate bathroom/toilet. The bed was very comfortable; the air conditioner worked well. There was a breakfast buffet that catered for most tastes and the staff were obliging and friendly. The hotel provided bicycles which were great and it was not far to the centre of town. Restaurants down by the Mekong were within easy biking distance. The pool area was excellent. It was attractive and the pool was deep and long enough for bathing or swimming. The slight negative were the distance from town which was just a bit too far to walk. The only annoying problem was being able to hear the band which was in the basement restaurant till midnight up in our room on the seventh floor. It played each night we were there and was intrusive. It would probably put me off staying there again.

Excellent value and top notch service hotel.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and it’s wonderful staff. We had a 6 night stay and we really enjoyed our experience at S Park! The pool is excellent and we found the staff goes above and beyond to make the guests welcome and confortable.
The hotel provides a pay as you go AC mini bus shuttle service to downtown until 5pm. The area around the hotel has few dining options but luckily the hotel food was very good and prices were reasonable.
There is a little grocery store across the street as well as a small ( but AC!) restaurant at the car wash place next door.

We thought the band in the hotel restaurant was quite good. The staff there are really nice and very professional at their jobs. We enjoyed going there at night to listen to the band and have a few drinks.

For me the value of this hotel outweighs the bit of distance it is from the town.

I had wonderful time staying at the hotel ( and Vientiane of course) staff were helpful and friendly...

The hotel is about ten minute ride away from the city centre but that shouldn't be an issue, lots of tuk tuk and taxis to take one to the city centre ( but you really have to negotiate the fare).

The manager of the hotel was kind enough to provide me with a courtesy ride back to the airport.

The hotel had great amenities including a comfortable bed, great shower and an awesome pool to liunge around at inbetween your activities... The breakfast was great offering options on how you want your eggs prepared and several dishes to go along with them.... Most of all, i loved the staff at the hotel. They seem to really care about your comfort and help w any questions about the area and availabilty of tours and activities around the city... i highly recommend staying at this hotel...

Water in the shower was not going fast enough. You can't take shower comfortably. At 1 am in the morning/ middle of night WI-FI was not working. They knew that because they told us to move in other room on third floor instead of 6 th floor where our room was...I need last two nights money to be refunded to me. October 8th and 9th I stayed in the same hotel and everything was nice.

Great little hidden gem

The street that the hotel is in is very average but the staff and their great service make up for that shortfall. Photos are very good... place not quite as good as photos but it is tremendiyys value for money. I would stay again.

Warm welcome. Had booked a studio but were upgraded to a premier room. Entrance is quite interesting with a Vespa scooter and the front of a Mercedes Benz. Our room had table lamps made from metal pipes.

The management here is amazing and the staff assisted me with even the requests they di not normally fulfill.

We paid less than a taxi to travel around due to the hotels shuttle service.

The bar downstairs is convenient and no so noisy on floors 6+

The breakfast is great here, buffet style till about 10 am, afterwords, the menu is great, too. Otherwise, near the hotel there's a small cafe with an conditioner that is way cheaper and really fantastic.

Would not recommend staying at this hotel on the weekends unless the noise issue is resolved. Staff and management were excellent in trying to handle the situation to the best of their ability.

Elegant hotel with professional service

Let me start at the ending. We booked an extra night, but chose the wrong date; the hotel manager credited the extra stay to us when he didn't have to.

When we needed something the hotel does not offer regularly, the manager and his staff accomodateted us. For example, we had two guests use the pool and gym facilities with us, the manager was \"oncall\" 24 hours, and the staff helped us get to the airport on their shuttle service; they even picked us up on our return flight.

Actually, we plan on continuing our stay with the hotel for the next 10 days.

The staff and manager are kindhearted and work hard to please.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, and great value for price. Location was close to the airport but we were told by one staff that they couldn't offer us a shuttle to the airport since our flight was an early morning flight. There driver didn't operate till 8am. However, I met another staff named Thong who was a lot more helpful and he was willing to speak to his manager to arrange a free shuttle ride to the airport for us but at this point I already made other arrangement. Other than that no issue with this hotel. Will definitely keep this hotel as an option on our next trip to Laos.

Nice modern hotel. Large pool. Good restaurant/night club on ground floor. Only complaint is they didn't change sheets on second day, only remade the bed. I know this because there was a stain on the sheets. Location is a bit far from tourist attractions and taxis are expensive, at least compared to neighboring Thailand.

I had an enjoyable stay at Vientiane S Park Design Hotel during my Dec 2017 stay. The hotel is nicely decorated with a cool vibe. The basement bar/restaurant with live band performances, offers hotel guests with a very good place for dinner and recreation.
The hotel is located west of Vientiane, not near the city centre but close to the airport. Local transport/airport shuttle is offered at the hotel with fair and transparent prices.
The team of staff here is cheerful, helpful and professional. The hotel manager as well as hotel reception staff Ms Da, also took good initiative during my check-out morning to find out if they could help with anything and if the hospitality met my expectations. I like the seriousness to guest experience and eagerness to improve :)

Chosen because of the proximity to Wattay International Airport. The hotel is very modern and comfortable with an industrial-chic style of interior. They did forget to pick us up from the airport but we made it to the hotel via taxi instead where we were served a welcome drink and received very warmly. The hotel has a great pool and a gym that packed in exercisers in the evening. The room was comfortable and probably had the best bed of my recent trip in Laos. Wifi is strong and good. Buffet breakfast the next day was pleasant and there were good choices of both local and non-local dishes. The only other bummer was that the surrounding area was almost devoid of any cafes and restaurants.....and in fact, of any character.

The hotel is a five minute ride from the centre (£3 in a took took or £5 by taxi) but is a modern very friendly hotel which we would highly recommend.
Clean excellent customer service. very nice swimming pool.
Rooms are clean well air conditioned with comfortable beds.
The service is excellent and nothing is to much trouble.
They organised all our tours for us which we enjoyed very much.

Perfect weekend break

From the moment we got there the staff and especially the Manager couldn't do enough for us. They were so friendly and extremely helpful. It's walking distance to the Mekong River with a night market and delicious street food. The hotel arranged a driver that took us on a sightseeing day Would definitely go back. Good job S Park Design.

Just OK with some drawbacks

Photos looked good but several issued arose that photos do not capture. First, the breakfast was pretty bad for Western tastes. Lots of choices for Asian tastes but not much for us Westerners. Second, there's a restaurant on the ground level which is essentially a nightclub for the playboy hotel owner. Load music and screaming from party goers can be heard most nights and our room was on the 5th floor. Third, you have to take a tuk-tuk, shuttle or rent a motorbike to do anything. This hotel is out of walking distance to downtown and there's nothing for Westerners nearby. Fourth, the WIFI sucked big time, you'll be lucky to check email, everything else is out of the question. And lastly, the TV reception was HORRIBLE. There are limited channels and the ones us Westerners are interested in are almost completely blurred out - as in no audio and very cloudy visuals. I complained to the front desk and they said \"that's just the way it is\".

Reasonable option but quirky design

The hotel is clean and comfortable, has a pool and a restaurant bar downstairs. The room has some strange features, but overall acceptable. The staff are good and very eager to assist. The hotel is a bit out of town and if I visited Vientiane again I would probably stay in the heart as it is a fairly sleepy town anyway,. Having said that the walk in is easy enough and they do offer free pushbikes.

If you don't have to be in the middle of the nightlife area this is an excellent choice, from the room to the included breakfast my stay was better than expected and would recommend this hotel to anyone that has their own car as transportation might be an issue for some.

The staff were very attentive and polite, and the suite was spacious and clean. The hotel overall was good - particularly the pool - and only let down by two things.
Location: the hotel is a fairly long walk from the main restaurants / tourist attractions.
Breakfast: Good selection of food, but the hot food was all left to go cold each day - including fried eggs, which were left in saucers on the side.

Great hotel when travelling with the kids

We got a good rate and the 9th floor room was a great retreat for the kids during new years festivities. Morning buffet breakfasts had a little something for everyone. The pool was clean and staff were awesome with the kids. We really enjoyed the hotel and there was usually a tuk tuk coming past every 10 minutes or so.

Hotel was in a reasonably quiet area out of the main part of town - tuk tuk required to get into town.
closer to the airport.
rooms are very roomy & separate toilet / shower. good price
great breakfast.
make sure you go to the bar / restaurant lower ground floor - various motor bikes & action figure mannequins - great to look at.
pool is OK - could do with more shade areas.

Had a great time in Laos and the staff at S Park Design went out of their way to help out with any issue. Lovely breakfast, walkable into city but just be aware of over-inflated taxi fares. An option is the plentiful tuk tuks on the main road which are cheaper once negotiated.
Easy stroll to the Mekong river bank... one must not miss out on the sunset here

Great Hotel close to Airport and Riverside.

This was an excellent hotel, providing me with all the modern facilities I would expect in a western hotel. The hotel and my room was very clean & modern with unique fittings and features, all in a nice size room. The staff were always very helpful with anything and everything I asked and needed including maps, directions, sightseeing suggestions and a complimentary car service trip back to the airport. There was a slight language barrier at times, but this was always overcome by a mutual patient approach to resolving this difficulty. I'm a person who likes to walk most of the time, so it was nice to be able to walk to the Riverside Market / Restaurants and the central shopping area during the day and especially the Riverside area in the evenings, a walk of about 20-30 minutes, but I did use a Tuk Tuk to visit some of the major tourist sites. The hotel internet was very good except for one evening when their service provider to the area crashed, but due to some important work I needed to re-search and do, the manager arranged for an interim service for me. This exceptional service was typical of my whole stay at this hotel. Thank you all for a genuinely enjoyable experience.

Nice hotel if you don't mind a little walk

Nice hotel and great breakfast that is about a 15-20 minute walk to the downtown. The hotel staff are helpful but don't speak a lot of english.

Nice hotel close to the airport

Stayed 3 nights in S Park Design Hotel in the Junior Suite. Room is spacious enough. However, if u are a light sleeper, you might wanna check with the hotel if your room is facing the street below as it can get quite noisy with dogs barking, screaming cars/motorbikes, occasionally people singing nearby. Minimart across the road which is convenient. Short distance from the airport (10mins). Free drop off (1-way) to city daily. You can always take a tuk tuk back which is always a cheaper option than taxis. Do request the hotel staff to write you the address of hotel in their local language if possible as some tuk tuk drivers might not understand road names in English. Staffs are polite however, like previous reviews mentioned, they need to brush up on their English to better understand and service English-speaking guests. Musso bar downstairs within the hotel is tastefully designed and come with live band. Dont forget to check out the beautiful vintage cars parked downstairs owned by the owner of the hotel if that is your thing. Overall satisfactory stay.

\"Give me a smile.\"

A couple days prior to staying at this hotel, I had my wallet, passport, mobile phone, and many other things stolen while walking in Vientiane. As I checked into the hotel, I shared my situation with the hotel staff and manager letting them know that I needed to go to the police station. The manager was supportive and connected me with a taxi driver and I was on my way to complete the lengthy process of obtaining my exit visa. While this was happening, the staff provided support through their smiles and words of encouragement. I will be forever grateful for the help and support I received while staying at this hotel.
