The best thing about the Drury Inn Frankenmuth is undoubtedly the location. It is wonderfully central to almost everything you’d want to see in town. Had the weather been nicer, walking the entire main strip would have been incredibly easy and fun. It's the perfect home base for exploring, with the exception of Bronner’s which is just a short drive away.
However, the stay itself fell short. My biggest grievance was the lack of transparency regarding renovations. I wasn't notified at the time of booking that the pool, hot tub, fitness center, and business center were all closed. To top it off, the sole guest washing machine was out of order.
The \"5:30 Kickback\" was also a letdown. While the food and drinks are free, the quality is lacking—drinks are from a gun and the only beer offered was Bud Light. The hotel relies entirely on disposables; the plastic forks actually melted in the hot food. It’s time to invest in real silverware, plates, and glassware (including actual mugs/glasses in the guest rooms).
As for the room, I loved the layout—specifically the butler’s pantry separating the sitting room from the bedroom. That said, it was quite dusty. I had to move the nightstand to plug something in, and it clearly hadn’t been cleaned behind in years. Breakfast was the standard spread (waffles, eggs, biscuits, and gravy), which was fine, but didn't make up for the lack of facilities.

All of the staff were so friendly and courteous. Loved the decor of the hotel. Everything was so clean. Perfect location for walking into Downtown Frankenmuth. Great breakfast selection and the free snacks and cocktail from 5:30pm to 7:00pm was great. Snacks the night I stayed were pulled pork sliders, salad, baked beans,mac and cheese and a nacho bar. There was even a special Christmas cocktail.
I do recommend asking for a room away from the elevator if you are a light sleeper.
It was fun walking through sipping hot chocolate and listening to Christmas music. There was even a Scavenger Hunt.

Breakfast and the Happy Hour meals were plentiful but lacked variety and flavor. We were there 3 nights, 2 of the 3 nights the happy hour served the same meal (mashed potatoes, meatballs, and baked potatoes) Breakfast was the same every morning with cold cereal, oatmeal, eggs, and sausage patties.
The room itself needed a deep cleaning, you could see A LOT of dust around where the carpet in the wall meet. I also brought my own Clorox wipes and wiped down every surface when we arrived, the wipes told a similar story about the cleanliness. That being said, nothing looked unclean on the surfaces or in bathroom. We chose this place for two reasons, 1. the happy hour, the idea was to save some money on a meal, and 2. dog friendliness. There were other dogs in the hotel and our little 5 pound Pomeranian had no issues, just a note however, one of their rules is that you are not allowed to leave the dog alone in the room. However, verbally I was told that they meant for extended periods of time. Would I stay here again? Yes, but I will just make sure to bring my usual cleaning wipes.

We love staying at the Drury Inn - in Frankenmuth. In 2025 we stayed here 3 times for 1 week each time and my sister and I stayed once for a couple of nights. I want to say the whole staff is awesome. From housekeeping to breakfast and kickback. The only thing I have a problem is every time I request to have a room near the lobby if it's on the first floor or near the elevator on upper floors we never seem to get it. I know I'm not the only one that requests this but I suffer from knee and hip pain and it's hard for me to walk even with a cane. We will continue to stay here in the future, I just wish we could get our request, at least once in a while. We are members of Drury Inn but use hotels.com since we can get better deals.
