It was a very cheap place but you get what you pay for. It was clean and the guy running it was nice. Beds were comfy. Shower was free standing and might be uncomfortable for someone over 300-350lbs.

I’d stay again if I just needed a cheap clean spot to sleep. Dollar General was about a mile up the road for snacks and drinks. It had a small fridge but no freezer, had a microwave, coffee maker, and good WiFi.

This is an old dated motel. The carpet looked dirty, the shower restroom is old definitely recommend using shower shoes. But with all that the owner is very sweet and helpful. The bed was comfortable, heat/air con works and my pup loved it. If you are looking for an updated, very clean place, this isn't it. If you are looking for a pet friendly motel to just get some sleep in, then this is your go to place. I would stay here again.

Management was one guy - nice and helpful.

Unclean, stains everywhere, spiders on walls and leftover bug killing marks by prev. residents, faint wet dog smell, $45 / night would’ve been acceptable for a motel this quality. At best.

No refund apparently as ownership doesn’t communicate and would not accommodate with another room. This review is also for Expedia’s CS outcome.

It was fine overall. They had outdated understandings of service dog laws. The rooms were mostly clean but could be cleaned better. Blankets were paperthin. The person who does check in at night made me feel uncomfortable/ didn’t give a lot of personal space. Amenities were lacking.

Okay if you can't find anywhere else to stay

Looks like mom and pop place, but I heard the check-in person say they didn't have any rooms for a person who was on the phone with them. That person asked what a local room was and they said it rents by the hour. For the most part if it was a true mom and pop place, it was okay the furniture had been upgraded it was a small bathroom but I can deal with that everything was good until I saw two bed bugs this morning one on my sweatshirt and one in the bed. I had bed bug killer I killed both of them. I left earlier than the office was open so I could not report the bugs. But there was one visible on the sheets I left for a present.

Its was a really cute studio apartment type set up. But the lights between the beds didn't work. It was clean. No bugs. Quiet. The guy that works there is polite. It was a neat lil place. The microwave was wonky and touchy. The toilet didn't flush right. The fridge was super tiny and one tiny trash can for a 2 person 4 day stay?! Yeah that needs to be improved upon but overall, we enjoyed it

Not a bad place to stay for a night. Mom and Pop place compared to the big hotels. Room was very very small AC unit in the window did not have any controls buttons are all taken off Wi-Fi very intermittent. With my dog fee the room cost $90 for the night. Definitely not worth $90.

Relax Inn was a small, quiet, squeaky-clean, newly-remodeled inexpensive mom-and-pop jewel in Buena Vista, MI, which sports almost no jewels of any kind. But over the years the standards have fallen. Fridge needed to be cleaned better, candle wax (?) on the carpet, toilet's loose, sink faucet's loose. All of these issues could be fixed in a single morning w/o great effort or expense. But they haven't been.

Im pretty sure the neighbor was a lady of the night or \"working girl\" if you will. I couldnt sleep due to loud moaning all night. It was annoying until Harold ajd i decided to one up her and i really let loose. Talk about amazing sleep. Rocked me right to sleep. I wanna go back tongiht. The butlers nice but i wish they had breakfast or snack. The butler was the only snack within 5 miles as this is in bfe. Go now. You won't be disappointed

The management was nice. We got a little spooked at check-in (after dark) since the property is in the country, when Michigan state police showed up shining their flashlight on us as we were unloading the car and asked if it was our car with the trunk open then they took off with their spotlight on their vehicle. The beds were clean but hard and we didn't sleep well. We had to take cold showers because a pipe busted and we had no hot water in our room. The shower was not so great anyway and the bathroom door wouldn't stay closed. The manager did offer to let us have access to a different room across the lot to shower but we passed. We were only there one night and just wanted to get ready and get out of there. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Had to wait 40 minutes for someone to open ‘office’ just to check in. Room was ok, floor was a bit stained and looked dirty. Bathroom fan was very loud. Heat worked well and bed was comfy. Good location, close to Frankenmuth and Saginaw. Good price as well.

We mostly were happy with the quaint little country vibe motel. The only downside was our bathroom door would not completely close (put a towel against the inside of the door to hold closed) and the water didnt get very hot. Otherwise, it worked well for us and was decently updated and clean. Good deal for the price, especially with the proximity to Frankenmuth and Birch Run

8.3 Rating is completely wrong! This is a roadside motel, left over from the 1950s. To be fair, the room has been modernized and was very comfortable. BUT, it is still an outdated motel. It appears to be a one-man operation. Bathroom was dirty and hair in the drain. Noise from the next room was extremely loud, kids yelling and playing music. They finally quit.

Had an \"okay\"stay. Ran into an issue with the way the door locks but after maintenance came over to explain i felt reassured. Even in the lock position from inside the unit you can still turn the knob to open. It doesnt make me feel safe because in my mind, its unlocked. If its locked the knob should not turn however, it wont turn from the outside. Not a deal breaker but, best be aware. First thing I noticed was how very clean and modernistic it \"looks\". Even for a small unit you do still have a lot of space. The bathroom is small however very managaeable. Nothing to complain about. However, everytime i leave a hotel i always gather up towels, garbage, and bed sheets and linens to help housekeeping in their effort to clean. It's the least i could do. On the day of checkout i ripped the blanket and top sheet off of the bed where the bed still has the cover on it still and discovered two large yellow stains. One on the sheet/blanket and another on the bed sheet. Two different sizes and colors in two different areas signifying that its two different instances. I was repulsed by this knowing i just laid in this for 2 days. I told the front desk as i was leaving to give them a heads up and they just asked if it was on the bed or blanket. I told them on both. He said okay and that was that. No apology. No cause for concern. Im concerned i laid there in someone elses recycled sheet and blanket for 2 days. I do have pictures but app wont let me attach. I enjoyed my stay there. The staff was very nice & helpful. It was very quiet & peaceful. Great location for going to VA Hospital in town. My only complaint was a problem with the wifi, but only after a thunderstorm came through - was ok for 2 nights prior but iffy afterwards (3 nights). I didn’t want to bother them about it again since they had reset everything already.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel as it was close to an event we had plans for. The room was okay but the bathroom was very small and the door did not latch. The air conditioner had a strange smell when I turned it on and when we went outside to our vehicle we somehow got locked out of the room. Then we had an emergency and needed to cut our stay short by a day. I asked about a refund for the day we were unable to stay and I was told they couldn't issue one as I booked my stay through Expedia, well I contacted Expedia and explained the situation and they contacted the hotel who refused to give us a refund. Basically they lied to us when they said they were unable to do anything because we booked through a 3rd party. They could have given us a refund for the one night but simply refused (I did not plan to have an emergency cut our trip short). Also, when we were being checked in our credit card information was manually entered and I watched as they saved the card information on their tablet (like you can do on your phones to use it again) when I questioned why I was simply told they had too.

Great old-school motel. Drive up and park in front of your room. Very nice and peaceful location. Gave me flashbacks of road-trips as a kid as I pulled in. Nothing fancy but looked nice. Was very surprised when I went in the room. It was a very nice updated room. Microwave, refrigerator, a nice desk area, even a small table with a couple chairs. It was a little tight for the 3 of us, but it did the job. Bathroom was very nice, the only knock would be it’s a little small, but nothing they can do about that. Would definitely stay again.

After majing mybreservation on Expedia, i had contacted the motel to notify id ve a late (2300) check in. They said that was no problem. The genetleman at the check in office was polite and was the fastest check in ive ever had. My room had its own parking. My room was perfect! It was a small room with 1bed, tv, fridge, microwave. A in all AC that worked great! (I like to sleep in 65-67°) the bathroom was small but roomy enough for 1 person. I had plenty of hot water and clean towels. I traveled alone and did not need a huge hotel room or king or double bed. The fullsize for 1 was big enough. Id recommended this place to all my friends. It is a no frills cozy and quiet place outside of town thats safe with no riff raff.

Clean, recently remodeled, quiet, friendly and responsive staff, quiet and reasonable cost.
Bathrooms are tiny. Sorta remote so if you want a restaurant, you'll do a little driving. No pool but screaming children either.
I spent most of my time there in uninterrupted slumber. A high priority.

I just always feel safe here! I cannot express enough how the staff are so very nice & caring! They've went out of their way to help me while my Mama was transported to St. Mary's Saginaw Mi from Tawas Mi & we're from Oscoda Mi. They truly touched my heart with their kindness! Bonus- the beds here are incredibly comfortable & it's quiet & kind of out of the way but only 10 minutes from hospital.
