Hotel was very clean, including the stair rails which is important for those who prefer stairs over the elevator. The breakfast offerings and food quality was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. The eggs were made fresh, English muffins were fresh and they had a larger variety of fruits and nuts for the oatmeal. The coffee was also excellent. Outstanding!

Bed was comfortable. However, two of the pillowcases had blood stains on them. The blackout blinds were off the track on one side and hanging, but the worst part was the plug in the bathroom wasn’t working had to blow dry my hair out under the television because that was the only accessible plug. I usually blow dry my hair with a curling brush and need to utilize the mirror. Of course I was going to a conference not ideal. I told all this stuff to the front clerk and she asked if I was a Marriott Rewards member and when I said no, she said that’s too bad. We could’ve done something for you possibly. So because I wasn’t they did nothing. Or possibly because I prepaid the hotels.com. Just sad

The parking lot flooded during our stay and we had to move our vehicle in ankle-deep water at 9:30 pm—only because we happened to look out the window. There was no warning from management that that side of the lot floods, even though it’s apparently a known issue and it had been raining all day.

The room also had several problems: an unpleasant smell, very poor lighting, and no full-length mirror. We were in town for a dance competition, so it made getting our dancer ready much harder.

To make matters worse, we were woken up both nights in the middle of the night by people fighting near our room. We notified staff, but nothing changed.

Overall, management needs to communicate known issues like flooding and do a better job addressing disturbances and maintaining the rooms.

During my stay they had allowed a soccer travel team to rent rooms for the teens without adult supervision and at 7pm there was a teen walking up to random doors kicking them really hard then running. 10:30pm yelling females running up and down the hallways bouncing soccer balls. When we called the front desk about both incidents they said there was nothing the could really do. 3:18 am we were awakened again by teens running in the halls chasing each other and screaming. We called the front desk again and no one answered. I have also reached out to corporate for resolution but have yet to hear back. We haven’t slept that horribly in a hotel ever.

Room wasn't very clean when we got there, housekeeping missed s few spots vacuuming. Didn't like the design of the bathroom/shower. There was no lip to the shower to keep the water in, just a drain in the middle of the bathroom. So water just basically just got all over the bathroom floor. Netflix didn't work, nor was there anything good on TV. We requested housekeeping a few times during our stay but they never showed up. Breakfast was kind of lackluster. The staff were very nice though.

When we arrived at the hotel everything was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly. Once we got to our room, our beds were stiff and the Toliet was not working. The Toliet overflowed actually and I asked to switch rooms. The front desk person came up to give us the keys to our next room. Our next room still had a few problems. The toilet still had a problem and kept running, the heater kept clicking and my bed felt lopsided which made sleeping a little uncomfortable. The breakfast was not great either. Not very many choices and the choices didn’t look too appealing. I will say I felt very safe and the area had many great stores and restaurants.

The staff is very supportive. The property is also nicely done. Looks like it was recently(in few years) renovated. As compared to its standard, was expecting breakfast to be more versatile than what they are offering. That was disadvantaged who are counting on it. They had eggs, sausages and beacons. Rest are just regular stuff that is usually found in other hotels. They could have put hash browns and some other hot items. Just a suggestion.

The rooms don't have a mirror for you to see how you look in your clothes. There is one mirror and its in the bathroom. The closet is so tiny, we couldn't hang all our clothes and it wasn't that many. We utilized the hang up bag and laid it on the floor next to one of the beds. Now, the staff gave excellent service, and the room was clean.

There was no toiletry supplies in our room. Very loud throughout the hotel even though it was not busy, you could hear every footstep and conversation.The hot water, was actually scolding hot, could only turn on about half way after burning arm. Staff had zero concerns when I said my stay was only Ok at checkout in the morning and wanted no conversation about it.

Please, never accept room 214. It is right above the lobby and the sliding door in the lobby booms throughout this room. It sounded like a 1960’s hot rod starting up outside in the parking lot every time the door opened/closed. It made for a very miserable nights sleep as the door opened on a regular basis until about 1:00 AM and then occasionally all night long. Wasn’t impressed by the breakfast either but some of that may have been because of the terrible nights sleep. They may have given us the room (right next to the elevator as well) because we booked through Expedia but no way of telling. Either way, avoid this hotel entirely, or demand a different room if they assign you to 214.

Hotel was under renovations and I was unaware when I booked. The staff was absolutely amazing and addressed our needs immediately. They were really nice. However, we had an issue with our room and the Manager was supposed to contact us. I tried calling back after the weekend for a follow up, and I never received a call back. I followed up again a week later and still no call back. It’s been a month now. I was assured I would get a call back this time, nope!

Pretty poor experience for multiple reasons.
Asked if I wanted housekeeping throughout my week long stay. I of course said yes…. Never got housekeeping once.
Construction was as going on for my entire stay as well. In the morning until going to sleep.
Nice little surprise as you show up out of town and already booked the hotel.
The receptionist told me it was all finished in the rooms, it’s just the lobby. That was a blatant lie. They would be working on rooms on the second floor in the evening while I was in my room.
My shower door was broken, the remote to my tv didn’t work fully. The toilet would barely flush.

I’m sorry to leave such a negative review, but it really was just an awful experience from the moment of arrival to leaving.

The property was under construction during our stay. The main entrance was blocked by construction, the business center was not available due to construction, and the stairwell was being refilled which limited access. The front desk was accommodating and gave me a late check out given the lack of business center. The walls were thin, so it was easy to overhear other rooms. The rooms were bland and lacked artwork or character. The duvet did not have a full duvet cover which did not feel very clean.

This is our go to hotel in Saginaw
We were disappointed upon arrival that renovation are still ongoing with what looks like little progress to the front of the building- we were last there March 2024.
Parking lot is rough.
Room was good , bed was comfortable
Breakfast was the usual.
Interior main areas need a refresh
Lots of kids running the hallway, it was early in the evening but I don’t understand how parents allow this
We were woken up at 415am to a woman and man having a loud conversation in the stairwell again no care in the world- it was all about them.
I know the hotel can’t control some of this but still frustrating when you pay for a room
We’re hoping to see a finished renovation by our next visit

I liked the fact that two large strip malls were within easy walking distance for any items wanted or needed at a moment's notice. The property is easily accessible to the town's main shopping avenue.
I regret that the actual hotel is largely concealed by the surrounding properties.

We arrived and checked in. Only two be greeted by a man spraying for bugs. It was a red flag but we were told that it was just four spiders and potential bugs coming in to the main doors. We proceeded to our room which was cleaned but definitely rushed. We proceeded to set up our things and check the beds. The beds were brand new but on one of the mattresses underneath the protective cover had a whole bunch of black plastic shavings. Looked like they had built some of the new furniture and never cleaned the actual mattress off. The room that we were staying in had some upwards done to it. However, the new tile that they had just installed in the bathroom most of the grout was already popping up and made it very sharp. The countertop in the bathroom had not been wiped down and there was markings on the countertop underneath her towels that I believe was trying to be hidden. There was electrical that was half done or poorly put back together. We decided to check out the pool. That was a complete disaster. The ceiling was all bubbled. All the paint was peeling. Massive pieces of plaster were missing from walls and ceiling tile's head some build up on them that was very sticky. Once we seen the black mold on the other part of the ceiling where a patch repair had tried to be completed, we were out. Would not recommend this location at all. Spend the extra go to an ice hotel. The parking lot is being used for their renovations inside so limited parking as well.
