I’m so upset because the room was dirty when I got there there was trash all in the cans the shower had used soap the refrigerator had food in it that wasn’t ours. I’m just very upset when I told them they just looked at me weird and said that’s what I paid for they couldn’t do anything. I’m so mad.

They (the hotel) five days after checking out have not applied my credit on my room of over $300.00. It was showing on Saturday; but, now is not showing on my card I used to pay for the room at the hotel.

I left three days early do to having the flu and the $300 for those unused days has not been applied to my card I used to pay for the room at the hotel.

The hotel is improving but they need to keep original processes in place until the new is proven and the staff knows how to work it. Example: 8 of my 13 day stay had no coffee due changing to a coffee machine that did not work and the staff were not training its operation or troubleshooting. This also had seven of 13 days with no hot water for breakfast oatmeal.

Facility was dirty. Cockroaches in the room. We were there for 2 hrs. Seen a cockroach packed out things. Went to the front desk asked for a refund the man at the desk said ok. Not only did I not get a refund they kept my deposit and charged my account for an additional night. Our stay was for 2 nights they charged me for 3 and we were there 2 hrs. Hotels .com were absolutely no help getting my money back. Do not recommend this hotel or using hotel.com

This was the worst hotel I ever stepped foot in and does not deserve 1 star! I checked in and checked out the same evening. It was dirty! It smelled so bad I could not stay in the room without covering my nose with my shirt. Blood on the curtain and desk chair. What looks like to be pee marks across the bottom of the curtains. The \"comforter\" was a fleece blanket that looked and felt like it was in my grandmothers closet for 30 years. I have photos, I hope I get to share. I contacted Travelocity and Wyndham, sent photos and I have not heard anything back.

Only one loose tub stopper in the room. It didnt fit tub or jacuzzi. Water drained out when trying to use it. Water was barely tepid! jacuzzi 1/3 full and water went cold. Same results in sink and shower.

Ice machine in my hall non functional. Would've had to go to the lobby for ice.

TOTALLY SUCKED! Very disappointed as I checked in late after a long exhausting day!

DEFINITELY FEEL I GOT TAKEN FOR A BUNCH OF EXTRA MONEY 💰 SINCE IT WAS LACKING SO BADLY.

But 11pm at night not up for waiting another half hour in the lobby to see if theyd help me changing rooms.

the room itself was very clean. However common areas like the hallway, stairwell and lobby were dirty and stained. The ice machine was broke down. I arrived late in the evening (nearly midnight) and had to call the hotel over and over, as well as knock on office doors to find an employee bc no one was at the desk. I checked in online prior to arrival but it was pointless; I had to do it all again upon arrival. To my surprise, the room, bed, and shower were very clean. The room was spacious, the shower was hot and towels were clean too. The hotel was a very cost effectively place to rest for one night during a 13 hour trip - it fulfilled a need - but it felt sketchy and a bit unsafe overall. the continental breakfast was sad and picked over with very little options. Morning staff was much friendlier than evening staff. location was convenient, right off of highway.

The room was fairly clean. The bathroom area needed recaulking around the tub trim around the tub. The heat light didn't work and there was a flashing light on the overhead above mirror. All the windows in the facility were filthy as if children had been doing finger painting on them literally. The parking lot had debris all over and cars that look like they were abandoned. There were rooms that appeared to have people living in them permanently. There is garbage in bags in the hallways. For a Wyndham property this was very disappointing we didn't even trust having breakfast there the next morning.

The staff were friendly and easy check in. The room itself was about what you would expect from a cheaper hotel. The TV in the room had lines in about half the screen. Mostly went away over the course of a couple hours but some remained all the time. Bathroom was clean and well stocked, we also had no problem getting extra towels as we had 4 people in the room. Beds were comfortable but could use some new pillows. All in all it was a nice stay though and I would stay there again.

Honest as I can get....

I was there 3 days. The lobby smelled musty. The carpet is rolled in spots that my suit cases were difficult to roll freely. There was a leak in the hallway to the lobby they were catching with 2 buckets. My room was booked for 2 adults though I traveled solo and it was stocked with only 2 towels 2 was clothes and 2 hand towels. 4 is standard for 2 adults. So I figured they would restock me daily with that. My first morning waking I see my room was also only stocked with decaffeinated coffee. So I walked to the lobby where the breakfast was. I asked for regular and was begrudgingly given 4 when I asked for 5 or 6. Breakfast consisted of yogurt, waffles, fruity pebbles or raisin bran. Not really appeasing. I leave for the day and when I come back to my room for the evening nothing restocked. So I'm like ok tomorrow. I leave for the day and even see a maid crew in the room across from me so I again figured I would be taken care of. Come back and still nothing. I also could not believe how filthy the floor in my room was. Walking bare foot and my feet would be black with in moments of exiting my shower. The sliding door had only 1 lock functioning as well. There was spiders at all the entrances as well.

The grounds and the doors make the hotel look abandoned. Our sliding door had no screen and broken drapes that wouldn't close completely. They put minimal items out for breakfast. By 7:30 everything was gone.
They are very stingy with towels. Floors were filthy. The family that owns the hotel gather in the lobby in the evenings. I went to the front desk for towels and they looked at me like i wasn't allowed to be there. The hallways smell like smoke and old food.

No one was at the front desk during check in or check out. Had to call a phone number to get service. The overall area felt sketchy and as a woman traveling solo, I didn't feel safe. This is an old motel that rents rooms. People live on the property and their belongs are everywhere. It should not be registered as a destination on any platform. I did not stay here because it was so disgusting inside the room. Nor was I given a refund. Horrible experience. It should just be apartments for low income if needed.

The outside of the building is run down, the grounds overgrown, and the parking lot strewn with trash. I had to call someone and wait for them to show up so i could check in @ 330 in the afternoon. The room was surprisingly nice looking at first. Unfortunately that didn't last once my eyes adjusted. The room was filthy, hair on the shower walls, dirt on the floor, and a dirty plate under the tv stand (found that when trying to get the tv to work, the cable was unplugged)

- Front staff woman was on the phone with someone else while she processed our check in. She was polite enough, but distracted talking to someone else when guests are coming to check in.
- There were no towels and no soap in our room. Went to the woman at the front to request these. She said towels were in the dryer and she would bring soap with them. This despite us checking in at around 4 or 4:30.
- Dog parking a couple rooms down for a couple hours in evening, zippo lighters on couch in hallway; cigarette butts on the porch outside our door; missing roof tiles, scratches and gouges in walls and ceiling in room and hallways.
- Water pressure was good and temp got hot.
- Conveniently located. Lots of stores nearby both North and south. Right off the highway.
- Lots of parking and green space around the property.

If you’re just passing through and want a cheap place place to stay the night, then this will do just fine. If you are at all picky or want something more than a decent spot for a night or two, look elsewhere. It was clean enough, which is the bottom line for me, but it is dirtier in person than in pictures, thats for sure.

This is a remodeled from an old Howard Johnson's. They did a great job on the rooms and it was quite comfortable inside. My only issue was using their e-mail for special requests. I have extremely bad knees, but they never answered and of course we were on the second floor for a two night stay.

Walked in to check in and nobody was available. While waiting for help I noticed a whole in the ceiling. Place smelled horrendous. Waffle maker had a dead fly on it. Finally got checked in and went to my room where I discovered horrible stains on the mattress and bed bug activity. Garbage all over the property as well as homeless people and drug addicts walking around and living there. By far the worst hotel experience of my life. This place needs to be condemned. Expedia should cut all ties with this facility. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

I recently stayed at Baymont by Wyndham Bay City for two nights during a business trip and, unfortunately, had a highly disappointing experience. To begin with, the parking lot felt unsafe, with no visible security system or surveillance cameras. During our stay, one of the tires on our rental truck was slashed overnight, which added unnecessary stress to our trip and raised serious concerns about guest safety. The overall condition of the property was poor. The exterior and courtyard area appeared unkempt and unclean, with visible trash scattered throughout. The grass had not been mowed, and we observed someone feeding what looked like chicken bones or fried food to the birds--adding to the neglected atmosphere. Our room was only semi-clean. There was water seeping up from beneath the vinyl plank flooring, creating a squelching sound and an unpleasant feeling when walking. The patio door windows were dirty, covered with smudges and fingerprints. The hallways appeared to have not been vacuumed in some time, and there was a persistent unpleasant odor throughout the building, including in our room. Additional issues included a refrigerator that was too dirty to use, forcing us to store food in a cooler we had brought with us. The electrical outlets, including the one powering the TV, were faulty and kept losing power. DO NOT STAY HERE. All 3 rooms had pee stains on bed sheets, bed bugs, mold. Refrigerator leaking all over the floor and they say it was mop water. One bed had black mold on it and other had a huge black stain that looked like dried blood from a murder scene. staff refused to refund me. had to get with expedia and my bank to get the charges cancelled/refunded. staff said they couldnt refund me because i removed the sheets and now they \"couldnt igive the room to someone else because they would have to re-clean the room\". this place should not be open to the public. very unsafe and dangerous conditions. The walls were scraped up with large gouges in them. The couch was ripped and darkened with wear. We were given another room which was the exactly the same other than the sheets were ok. The room was large. So was the king size bed. There was no TV remote control in the room. The choice of tv networks was large but no premium networks like HBO was offered. The last night of my stay the tv connection was lost. There was no maid service so the bed was never made.

I appreciated the complimentary breakfast. It was very simple. I would have appreciated a banana to put on my dry cereal. Maybe a sweet roll.

Excellent location. I attended a photography workshop in Bay City, MI. Was able to reach the venue in only 10’. I wasn’t happy with a 2nd floor room. I would have liked to see an ice machine on the 2nd floor.

The property is just beside the highway, so very convinient. Has a gas station & KFC adjacent to it. The room size was big, clean and had a porch. We had a initial hicup with the microwave and fridge not working but was attended immediately by the person at the reception. Breakfast had waffle, bread, apples, yogurt, milk and coffee. They accept the deposit amount (100 USD) in cash. Overall our 2night stay was good for the price we paid.

The beds were disgusting no way you can miss a giant hole and cigarette burns in the blankets. I highly doubt the bedding is ever changed. It smelled of smoke/ marijuana and must. The beds weren’t stable and if you sat down the slide out from under you. 90% of the tv channels did not work. There were ants on the balcony that came into the room. It was almost impossible to get towels. We got 1 towel 1 wash cloth 1 hand towel and 1 mat for 2 people. After asking for towel approximately 8x I gave up and went and bought my own as well as sheets and blankets. The towels were just set in the bottom of the vanity no shelf no towel bar nothing. The shower head was clogged and barely worked and the hot water was barely warm. I was offered no receipt even when giving them $100 cash deposit. I had to call a number and wait and wait for someone to check me out. Over all it was a horrible experience. Absolutely do not recommend. Also works are very very hard to understand when trying to speak to them.

1 of beds wasnt made, when we check the beds (we do at all hotels regardless of stars) there was food crumbs all over the sheet and floor. Bathroom had dried booger on wall, remote control had no battery cover on it nor did it work, window wasnt cleaned, wall outlet covers were off, dont like how there is no one at front desk (in my opinion, it lowers the security).

It was very dirty. The towels, pillow cases and sheets were all stained. One of the blankets on the bed had a large hole in it. On more than one wall you could see where something was spilled in the wall and was never cleaned up. There was garbage left on the grass by the parking lot. My boys went outside to play catch and found used dirty needles. The breakfast that was offered was very minimal.

The outside of the property was not taken care of. Weeds were tall, and garbage was in weeds.
Parking lot was not taken care of. There was a whiskey bottle underneath my parking. Like I’ve been there for a while. A diaper was out there.
Breakfast area didn’t look the greatest.

The room was disgusting. The bedding was sketchy. Heater/ac unit that didn't work. Dust behind every nook and cranny. Hole in the wall. The couch looked like it was salvaged from the dump. The bathroom was decent minus hair in the tub of unknown orgin. You couldn't pay me to stay again. We left a full day early and stayed elsewhere. Lesson learned.

Avoid. Bad for even a cheap place.

Old hotel, that's partially been updated. Exterior and interior stairs were worn, but at first glance room was updated nicely - quartz countertops in the bathroom, etc. However, despite that effort, it wasn't great. Wall paint was on the metal door trim, along with some sheetrock mud, the marble transition between the bathroom and the rest of the room was filthy, the drapes were only attached to the roof on one side, and looked damaged, the screen to the balcony only opened partially, etc. My main problem is the billing. I reserved one night. A week before arriving needed to add another to it. Called and was told it was unavailable. Easily booked the extra night on hotels.com. At check in, young woman was too busy talking on her earbuds to explain this to her. Got about 6 emails early the next morning when the hotel realized I had two reservations (one Thursday night, one Friday). No one at the front desk Friday morning. Called the posted number and had a conversation where we had some trouble understanding each other, but was assured that they had it straight. When returning that night finally met someone helpful at the front desk. Explained how I'd ended up with two reservations (one per night) and asked if they had been merged. He checked their system for quite a while and assured me that the two reservations had simply been merged by them. No one had cleaned the room during the day. Now I see we were charged double for the 2nd night. Disputing the charge.
