Improve: Ducts in the room needed cleaning. Maintenance man with no uniform or identification randomly shows up to our room asking if we needed a tub fixed. We did not. Need better disposal of breakfast dishes.

Sustain: The rooms are spacious and the appliances work. Rooms are clean, and have plenty of outlets. Gym equipment consists of Life Fitness ellipticals and treadmill. Common areas are well kept, and the front desk staff went above and beyond.

Total disappointment! When we walked into the room, both sets of curtains were torn, we found a hug centipede and spider! The chairs were ripped, appliances were dirty, and we wouldn’t sit on the couch as it was disgusting. The hotel associate barely spoke to us and was watching a loud tv. While the hotel offered free breakfast, we would not eat it given the lack of cleanliness. We expected so much more from Marriott given the good reviews on Expedia and were completely disappointed. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

To begin, my room had a horrible stench of dirty wet dog blended with animal urine. We were then given a can of air freshener. The counters were sticky, and our room had several big spiders. We changed rooms the next day and paid full price even after expressing our concerns. The pool room door was broken making the only access through an outside area door. On day 2 we were constantly disturbed by “groups” of young teens running and loudly screaming up and down the hallways. Overall a bad experience for my 8 year anniversary.

there was not anything really unique about this property.
The trash can outside the side door was always stuffed, the day is was over full and gulls were having party and trash was on the grounds. This was our check out day so reported to the staff and they sent someone out there right away. Other several small issues with our room or stay were promptly attended to. Staff was always ready to take care of.

Our most recent visit, disappointing.

It took a few visits to the front desk to get checked in and out. On prior visits the staff was very attentive, they even welcomed guests with a happy hour, offering food and adult beverages.
The wifi service was all but non-existent, they did however offer a bump-up service for $5/day, and that from the highest priced accommodations near Saginaw.
Our 3rd visit to this Residence Inn was o.k., but disappointing when viewed in the light of our previous visits. It all could be said to reflect poorly on the community, or perhaps the management.

I liked the fire pit; it was a great way to decompress at the end of a very long day. Also, we travel with a service dog. All staff was well trained on how to handle guests with service animals.

What could be improved was the handling of trash inside the room. When you have a kitchen, you're going to need more than a 2 gallon trash bin. Because we were there just 3 days, no cleaning was done in between days, which is okay, if you have a trash bin that can handle it.

The receptionist Erica was fantastic. She made sure this night stay was on my Bon Voy account and checked me in quickly and was just a very nice personable person. The room was clean with full size fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, plates silverware, cups, mugs, pots, pans and utensils. There was a small bar to eat at, a very nice pull out couch and comfortable bed. A very nice place to stay on a business trip.

The rooms are very comfortable and well designed for comfort, use, and aesthetics. I especially appreciated the separate sink area with an expansive vanity. The room and the rest of the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The beds were quite comfortable.
Negatives: the room wasn't well stocked (no linens or blankets for the sofa bed, on 2 towels, 2 small spoons, and only decaf coffee packages in the room). While the breakfast area offered a nice mix of hot and cold items in theory, when other guests absconded with all the yogurt, chocolate milk, and hard boiled eggs, they were not replenished. The pool was overwhelmingly chlorinated and very loud. While the gym equipment worked great, the TV was out of commission.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The negatives were minor inconveniences that were far outweighed by the otherwise excellent room and service.

Absurd Pet Fee

The pet fee for this hotel - unless you're staying for 4+ days - is absolutely ridiculous. I paid more for my dog to stay the night than for the room. I was unaware of the pet fee before I arrived for check-in and had I known I definitely would've stayed somewhere else. Free wi-fi is only for Mariott Rewards members, which also ridiculous for a $100/night hotel. They provided HBO and other streaming services on the TVs but the wi-fi signal was so crappy nothing would load to be watched. The other guests were also very noisy in the hall - not a fault of the hotel.

The room was very clean and comfortable and if not for the pet fee, I am probably satisfied with the stay. However, the pet fee more than doubling the cost of the room and not complimentary wi-fi at $100+/night are major issues. I do not plan to stay at another one.

Our room was good, amenities were good, even had entertainment like pool and board games but our neighbors were awful and it ruined our whole experience. The first neighbors yelled, argued and slammed their doors all night long. The second neighbors were arguing and the boyfriend was full on trying to kick the door off the hinges and was yelling obscene things so bad that my 10 year old was scared to go to sleep and shaking. Multiple guests called the didn't desk to complain and we were informed the cops were being called. This was around 10/11. Around 1/3 am the boyfriend came back and was screaming in the parking lot (right next to my bedroom window). It was ridiculous. On top of the exit door being next to my room which slammed insanely loud all night long… we got no sleep. I informed the front desk all if this upon checkout and all u was given was $30 off my stay.

The hotel was in a great location with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. They had a small hot breakfast which was nice. My family enjoyed the pool and hot tub. They offered popcorn at check in, board games you could check out and a pool table. The staff was pretty friendly for the most part and the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool room floor was disgusting, hair and other things all over the floor and it was VERY slippery. The staff could be a little friendlier. The lady who ran breakfast complained how tired she was, she said she worked 3-12 hour days on the night shift, seemed to get an attitude when a gentleman asked her to refill the coffee and how she got annoyed the breakfast closes at 10 and a family came to eat around 945 so she had to make more food. One of the front desk workers were very friendly while the other one acted as if he hated his job. If it wasnt for pool floor and the workers I would have given this hotel a top rating.

We had a great stay and would definitely return next time we are in Michigan. Even though we just stayed one night, our family of 4 felt right at home. Spacious rooms for us to move around freely and had all the amenities of home. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only mild complaints are that the hot tub was shut down and the breakfast buffet was not fully up and running yet, my guess would be due to Covid. But all in all a very pleasant stay.

It was very clean I will give them that but I booked it because online they said they had a pool and hot tub but when we got there they told that both the pool and hot tub wasn’t usable, very disappointed. They still charged me full price and during the night about 1:00 am someone tried breaking into our room. Very noisy place and then beds very uncomfortable.

The staff were very nice however, it was hard to figure out how to get the breakfast, so we went to a restaurant instead. There was nail polish stains on our blanket and I am not sure that they were washed. The wash clothes also had stains on them. Mold in the shower and the floor of the bathroom.

First I was not told they charge and extra 40$ for a hold on your card. Then I had to call and ask for covers for the pull out bed and the front desk stated we don’t have extra covers I asked what am I supposed to use for the pull out and she said she will see what she can do. They did bring the covers. The bed skirt under the mattress was filthy it looked like someone had bled down the side of it. I called and asked about housekeeping and was told we wouldn’t be getting housekeeping because they only clean every three days and I don’t fall on that day. I needed tissue, towels and had to change my trash. For the price you pay for the hotel it should have had better service.

Enjoyable Stay

Stayed here in a two room suite for a local soccer tournament. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to check-in early and out late to accommodate a drawn out game schedule. There was a limited breakfast but was tasty and there were plenty of additional restaurant options within walking distance of the hotel. Very clean. Will be staying here again.
