Upon check in, staff was rude about the reason my children and I were staying, she also asked for a card to put on file for damages, but then preauthorized $100 on the card. Upon getting into the room, the cups in the cupboard were full of food and debri, when I took them to the front desk for new ones, she insisted she couldn’t give them to me at the desk and had to bring them to my room later, not only was that uncomfortable as we weren’t even settled, but she was looking all around the room when she came up. Once we used the ice cold pool, we went to take showers, only to discover the shampoo, and body wash was locked in the holder on the wall in the shower and unusable. Upon getting out of the shower, my daughter stepped on something sharp. Looking down at the floor, I notice a tack strip exposed on the floor between carpet and bathroom floor. I brought these issues up to manager as this is unacceptable and she said sorry. That’s it. I paid $150 for a room with all these issues, and unprofessional behavior of staff. Completely unacceptable. I will not book with Marriott Bonvoy again. I am beyond upset and disappointed to spend this kind of money on a room for my family from out of town to be let down.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!

There were dirty wash clothes hanging in the shower and a pile of dirty towels shoved in the corner of the bathtub, and a dirty rubber glove. The coffee pot looked like it's never been cleaned, there was mildew in the bathtub and no body wash. There were leaves on the floor. And no USB plugs. I have photos but the site won't let me add them

The couch looked pretty worn and dirty. Same for the pullout bed. I wish the listing had the sizes of the beds. I assumed it was a Queen, but it was much smaller. There is not enough room for two tall adults on the bed. The shower drained slowly, and there was no bathroom fan. The rooms are large and pretty soundproof. The work area had plenty of space for several monitors. Breakfast was great, workout room was fine.

This was the first time we have ever had any issues. The staff was overall nice, we went in expecting to pay a price as we booked online, then the hotel charged us as if we booked with them that day, and then, when checking in staff member didn't give info on dog charges, Just asked if our dog was a service dog by chance, after we had already checked in. I said no and she said, oh okay. When checking out and asking about the price differnce, we were told it is a \"HOLDING FEE\" which was wrong. The room wasnt clean, the bed was a full sized bed not queen or king as stated, Overall not happy. We have 2 charges that are different amounts for the room. We were advised to call Manager. We will not be back.

For the amount of money I paid it was horrible will never stay there again you can hear everyone and everything plus I had to put $300 deposit down for a trash hotel I slept barely and left 2 hours before check out never again but to mention the roof was leaking in the lobby.

Still a worthwhile stay

my wife has stayed there before while visiting family and always loved this location. Even she could see that it was not quite as clean nor comfortable. I was welcomed by Sheldon (?) when I checked in. Very hospitable, informative and great guy. He offered up a ton of great information. Breakfast was superb. Room was somewhat dated. Washcloth (only 1 provided) was stained (old stain) and general room cleaning (are of walls by the door where most people don't even look) was somewhat lacking. Also, even though a wall thermostat, very hard to keep the room comfortable...even set at 64, very warm.

When it comes to hotel stays we are usually have reservations about trying someplace new. The Townplace Suites were everything, and more when it comes to providing a traveler's needs. From the warm welcome from Vickie, the manager, to the young lady, Priscilla, who makes sure breakfast is fully stocked, our stay was the absolute best.
The rooms were clean, and we'll appointed, the indoor pool was a nice respite from the winter weather, and the lobby area was a comfortable place for us to visit with our guests whom we were in Saginaw to see.

I also would like to give a shout out to all the staff who were always smiling, but especially Marissa and Caleb, who gladly take care of our every request.

Thank you, we highly recommend, and will stay here again.

Booked room a month in advance, even called to check room was still available thirty minutes before arriving and was told yes it was. After an hour and ten minutes of waiting for our room we were told it was booked over. Hotel was going to offer us a one bedroom that was dirty, or one room that did not have a working lock on the door. Hotel did not offer any compensation for this trouble or the lost time.

I love staying at Towne Place Suites because of the two bedroom option. We had three tvs and only one would allow us to actually watch television. The other two would not let us exit the Bonvoy advertising video. It was awful. Caleb tried to help us to no avail.

This place needs work!

The carpet in the public areas is very stained and needs to be replaced. The couch in our room was stained and the pullout mattress was very stained, had holes and SMELLED. The shower took about 20min to drain after the water was turned off. The staff was friendly but nonchalant about these issues. They just said they would have maintenance look at it. No offer to move us or discount our stay.

The hotel needed serious cleaning and updating. The carpeting throughout the hotel, in the elevator, hallways and rooms, was extremely stained and dirty. The couch in the room was also stained and filthy. The stainless steel refrigerator was dented and marred. Cabinets were chipped. Walls were dirty. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We were quite disappointed in the condition of a Marriott property. Will not stay there again.

I am a retired traveling salesman who covered 8-9 states staying in hotels 3-4 nightstands a week so my comments come from experience
I also have staying at this hotel for many years
My recent stay on 7/17 and the 7/30 was very disappointing
The light fixtures on the bed lamps did not work for for cpap machine
We did not have folks for dinner and my dog found a open pack of cigarettes under the couch
Last but not least the $ 150 charge for pets is outrageous especially since the hotel 2 right next to you charges $ 50:night got one dog
I have stay at this place for years on my travels to Curtis but will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone

We reserved a two bedroom suite and even called two days before we came and spoke with employees. Then while checking in we were told they were fully booked and only could offer us a one bedroom suite with 1 bed and 1 sofa bed. The sofa bed was disgusting. We were very upset that we didn’t have comfortable sleeping for all of our family. At this time it was too late to find a two bedroom somewhere else. Very upset about this experience.

So the staff and manager were really great, but the housekeeping was shockingly poor. It was so filthy in the bathroom, that we purchased our own cleaner and sponges. The furniture was stained with large holes, there was popcorn all over the floor when we got there, and the kitchenette cabinets were barely hanging on the hinges. At least I he beds were comfortable I guess.

Checkin was a bit time consuming. The property is older and is scheduled for upgrades but it was very clean. The staff was always very pleasant - more so than most locations. Breakfast was usually well stocked. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The beds and pillows were not typical Marriott and that was disappointing.

It seems like the place may have been hit hard by Covid as they have clearly not been able to upkeep the property. The furniture was old and beat up, pullout was unfit for sleeping and there is a leak through the windows into the pool. It’s a ‘you get what you pay for’ situation as the rate was good but I would definitely not recommend staying here.

Our room was disgusting and dirty. There were stains everywhere on carpet, couch, bed, etc… The kitchen was dirty as well. There were grease all over the stove and the bottom of the stove was not cleaned either so when we turned it on, a lot of smoke can from it and spread throughout the room. There was also a strong smell in the room that made it hard to breath even while wearing a mask. We were suppose to stay there for only 1 night however due to the conditions my family and I decided to book another room at another hotel. We didn’t ask for our money back because we had already brought all our items upstairs and did not want to bring it all back down, so we just took our clothes and came back the next morning to get the rest of our belongings. I strongly do not recommend this property. I was highly disappointed as I am a big supporter of Marriott whenever I go out of town. Will not be staying at this property again.

We stayed here on 11-20-2021 and my daughter and I woke with bed bugs all over us I told the front office about it and showed her the bites and she left a message with the GM to call me and today 12-2-2021 I called them because I have not gotten a phone call yet and she was there and was going to call me right back and that was over an hour ago so I called back just now and now the GM left and never called me back very poor customer service and for bedbugs you would think they would be more concerned about it DO NOT STAY HERE

Great overnight stay.

Great friendly service with a clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning was good with both hot and cold options and fresh coffee. Kitchen was a bit short of pans or kitchen supplies - just a few place settings, some silverware and a couple pans. Will stay here again when we have to come back to the area.

Perfect road trip home base

Really big comfortable room. Got the 2 bedroom suite with living room and kitchen. Felt right at home. Tv had fair amount of channels and the ability to watch Netflix Amazon YouTube etc. Hotel was quiet and felt safe. Def would stay again :)

Great location, paul mitchell products in rooms.. All kitchen ware provided besides a can opener but I also didnt ask the desk for one. Beds were very comfy. Nice comforter. Quality everything really.. Big table to eat, nice size room and closets. Centrally located frankenmuth 20 min drive. Bay city 20 mins.. Trails, shopping, beaches... Pool the chlorine was a lil over bearing but I get it with covid n all..
Overall excellent stay!!
