My dad came to visit me in Korea and I wanted him to experience sleeping in a hanok. I figured a hotel would be the easiest way. The hotel is amazing, the rooms and property are beautiful and the location is fantastic! We went in winter so we loved the ondol heating under the futons. We had a great time staying at the hotel and exploring Gyeongju and the mounds next door.

This was a great and unique experience. The washroom was simple but clean. It seemed like a relatively newly renovated location with a small divider between the shower area toilet so upon showering, not the full washroom was wet. They were able to store my luggage when I arrived into the city early and were very helpful in showing me my accomodation and explaining what is available through the hotel. The entire hotel was beautiful, especially at night.

A great location within walking distance of historical sites in Gyeongju. Staying here made the experience even better. The staff are great and welcoming. Sleeping on a heated floor was a first for me. It won't be my last - I felt like I was sleeping on a full length heating pad - wonderful after a long day of walking!

Hotel itself is good but the staffs were not very friendly. We had many instances where they were not very welcoming. One of the lady staff in reception said something rude and inappropriate in korean. We understand korean so it was really bad experience and ruined our stay. Also, they start cleaning rooms early in the morning and are very loud like banging stuffs. It ruins the calm looking vibe very quickly.

Great Hanok accommodation which included dressing in hambok for 1 hour to get photos in the Hanok. Staff were super helpful and friendly, salt bread cafe right next door and centrally located for shopping, dining and most major sites! We really enjoyed our experience in the Hanok and wearing the hanbok too made us really experience Korea!

Vey well located hanok hotel in Gyeongju to visit the different landmarks. The room was comfortable and clean. We received new bath towels and water bottle in the morning (2 night stay).

A great experience to stay in a traditional Hanok House. We did choose the bed option but the space was wonderful as we had two spaces plus a bathroom. We had everything we needed and fresh towels were provided daily. They also offer free Hanbok rentals but we didnt get time to use this.

Traditional but Uncomforatable

It might be unfair to criticize a hotel for offering traditional levels of Korean comfort--it provides what it says it will--but what I've learned from this stay is that the traditional way of sleeping in Korea is uncomfortable. Sleeping on a thin futon on a rock hard (though heated) floor is not something I want to do again. The tiny rooms are uninteresting and feel like prison cells (anachronistically there is a small TV in the room). Bathroom is extremely basic. The buildings are pretty from the outside, but only from the outside. For the price, one could stay with much greater comfort almost anywhere else in Korea. Staff are nice.

I didn’t expect the hotel to be so basic that you need to sleep on the floor with a futon. It was a very uncomfortable stay and the bathroom facilities was also very basic. Felt like a hostel. Anyway, I would say it’s a unique experience and something I would not do again!

This is the place to be if you want to stay at a traditional hanok. Beautiful grounds to take perfect photos. In the center of nghtlife and restaurants. But be aware that it's not that clean. They need to do a better job of cleaning the rooms and bathrooms as well as cleaning the sheet covers. Really enjoyed the stay but will only come back if they pay more attention to cleaning the interior.

First of all, the overall experience was wonderful. Gorgeous facility and grounds.

I gave a 3 for comfort because of the cot / futons. We thought we were going to be on beds. The cots were not very thick so we were basically on the floor.

Would still recommend and would still go back. Just being an air mattress!!

The buildings are beautiful and the overall environment of the hanok is wonderful. It was fun to stay in a traditional hanok hotel, but don't expect to have a good sleep! The mats are thin and you can tell you're sleeping on a hard floor. But we came for an experience and that's what we had. The hotel is in a great location, we were able to walk to the palace to see the lights at night and felt very safe. Bathroom a little more rustic but the shower was good and strong.

Beautiful Hanok but only from the outside especially the night you will make nice pictures! Room Onden was clean, simple and small but I knew it before booking so thats ok. Only problem was this is not a real shower but just a shower handle who goes directly to the floor so if you shower the water will go everywhere on the floor and on the toilet. Except that great location close to many cute shops and coffee..

Experience of an Hanok stay was great. The staff, particularly the ones at the frontdesk were unfortunately not very helpful. We asked for restaurant recommendations and we were told to look it up on the web. Also, all restaurants close at 8PM so if you're late eater, you can end up with cup ramen in your room, like we did - would have been nice to have been warned about this at check in. The hotel location is very convenient in the center of all the sites and very quiet. Also has plenty of parking. Overall good stay.

Very thin layer wall, the property manager have known since the building was built, I guess. But, there is no way of solution like insulation or limited age or else. Between two loud ( or just normal kids banging and jumping sounds & kicking) had really hard night to having sleep.
Without earplugs or earbuds , I do not recommend the beautiful & laud place strongly.

Le rapport qualité-prix n'est pas au rendez-vous. J'ai trouvé le prix trop cher par rapport a ce que nous avons eu.
Par contre, l'hotel est très bien situé et c'est vrai que le soir les lumières sont belles. On peut faire les principaux sites touristiques à pied.
Attention pas insonorisées, on entend tout dans les chambres.

Hotel is very pretty and management is friendly. Cons are that rooms are right next to each other and not sound proofed. This would not have been had except for my neighbors were two loud groups. But they eventually quieted down about 10pm. Otherwise the stay was clean and comfortable.

Trevligt hotell med trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Vi var tidiga till Gyeongju och lämnade väskorna på hotellet som de kunde förvara i låst skåp. Vi bodde i det enklaste rummet med madrass på golvet, det var rent och fräscht med rymligt badrum. Är man inte van med att sova på hårt underlag så kan det vara bra att ha i åtanke, madrassen är relativt tunn och kompakt och man har en riskudde/vetekudde till som är ganska hård. Vi tycker dock att det funkade bra.

Vi är väldigt nöjda med vår vistelse och rekommenderar att bo här om du besöker Gyeongju.

1番狭いお部屋でしたが２人には十分でした。３人でもスーツケースは広げられると思います。寒い日は、オンドルがポカポカで暖まります。他の口コミにありましたが、バスタオル✖️1 フェイスタオル✖️3の組み合わせでしたね。ミネラルウオーター1本いただけます。連泊の場合は、タオルとお水を部屋の外の廊下に早い時間に置いてくれていましたが、使用済みのタオルが各部屋の前にいつまでもあって、当日回収されていなかったです。観光やお食事にとてもベストな立地で、雰囲気も素敵で韓屋泊を経験するには良かったと思います。

宿泊当日、観光して20時ごろホテルへ帰宅しました。
教えてもらったパスワードを入れてもWi-Fiが接続できず、フロントの方(おじさん)に来てもらいましたが、怒りながら無言で本体の接続コードを差し込み帰っていきました。
チェックインするのに、パスワードだけ教えて、機械を接続していないなんて知りません！
お客様が使用の仕方を聞いているだけなのに、その態度はサービス業としては最低であり得ない！
モヤモヤが溜まって、旅行が台無しになりました。
私は二度と泊まりませんし、気にしない人以外はやめた方がいいですね。

まず2人での宿泊だったのに、バスタオルが1つだけ。ハンドタオルはなぜか3つ用意されていました。
フロントでもらえましたが、すみませんという感じでもなく。。
部屋はシンプルなオンドルで特に文句はないですが、バスルームはトイレとシャワーブースの間に簡易な仕切りがあるだけで
気を付けて使ってもトイレの床までびしゃびしゃに。。
料金はリーズナブルなので、そういった意味では仕方ないのかな。。
外観は伝統的な韓屋でとても綺麗だし、場所も観光スポットに近くてその点はよかったです。

Expérience typique hanok

Endroit typique et charmant, vous dormez dans un hanok typique. Au coeur d’un petit jardin à l’ambiance apaisante.
Le personnel parle très bien anglais et est accueillant. Possibilité de louer des hanbok gratuitement s’il ne pleut pas.

Le confort reste rudimentaire, c’est une expérience de dormir dans un futon, matelas très fin, couverture et petit coussin de riz. Une nuit c’est ok, au bout de deux nuits on ressent le mauvais sommeil et la fatigue.

L’insonorisation peut être un peu léger, on entends l’air conditionné des voisins. Je recommande d’y aller en basse saison. Pour le reste le bruit de la rue ou du quartier ne s’est pas entendu.
