This was a good place for an overnight stay for the price near the airport. Good stores around for a meal, a shrine to visit and friendly and helpful staff. It was quiet, though not used to no staff between 2300 and 0700. Would recomend for an overnight when arriving at haneada or leaving honeada, but nothing to long term

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Imalle Haneda. The balcony was a great bonus, and we loved the nice view and the safe, charming streets around the hotel. The location was very convenient—close to the train, with plenty of convenience stores and vending machines nearby.
The room itself was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were cozy, the bath/shower worked perfectly, and the internet was fast. It’s a simple setup, but it suited us perfectly. The staff were also very kind and helpful throughout our stay.
While there’s no elevator, the stairs were easy enough to manage with our luggage. Overall, this place is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend staying here.

We’ve only booked this place to have a place to stay the night before early morning flight from Haneda. Thus we only spent like 9hours at this place. However I don’t think I’d book this place again. Getting to the hotel from Tokyo was a pain. We had all our luggage with us as we were leaving the country the following day and upon entering the hotel we realized that there is no lift. We had to drag our stuff to third floor via the staircase. But that’s on us for not checking in advance. The hotel itself is more like a hostel. Everything is very old and worn out. The bathroom has seen better days. There were almost no electrical sockets to use in the room and it was over all very worn out and claustrophobic. If you only need to sleep somewhere before flight, maybe go for it. I’d definitely not recommend this place for longer stays, it’s not very nice. The staff were good and helped us book a taxi to the airport in the morning so bonus points for that.

Just ease of access for trains into Tokyo and Shinagawa, staff was pleasant always greeted me when i left and came back. Room was clean and spotless when going out in the day and coming back later in the evening. Had a really good time and would use them again in the future.

Very close to Origin Kitchen, Aeon mini market, Family Mart, 7-11 and other shops with very clean, tasty, affordable and delicious hot-bento & Japanese cold-salad and soup options for those on a budget. The hotel is perfect for, and busy hosting (during our stay) budget travelers, students, traveling salespeople, retirees on pensions, people stretching their dollars. We had stayed at a vastly larger luxury hotel (Tokyu brand) for the 4 days prior to this hotel, and another even more massive central Tokyo luxury property in Minato (government power center neighborhood) immediately after this hotel, so we can say with confidence that this clean, affordable, humble, friendly hotel on the edge of central Tokyo is exactly what low-profile traveler on a budget will appreciate. The neighborhood is very friendly if you make effort to chat people up. We stayed specifically to save money those few days. The staff did their best: they arranged onward travel for us, and made sure to provide amenities above and beyond the call of duty. The Japanese lady manager on duty who booked our taxi is fluent in English, and the equally lovely young lady from Harbin, China at the front desk (exchange student) speaks English and Mandarin & fluent Japanese if you need translation or an interpreter. Very affordable and clean place. Try to book the corner room on the 2nd floor (more windows & sunlight) so you won’t need to lift and carry all your luggage up so many stairs (I didn’t see an elevator/lift)

Awesome place for one night before traveling on, had a private room private bathroom very clean. Aircon worked so well. Staff was very nice and ordered me a taxi. Walkable to some places but quiet city and in quiet neighborhood. Not much going on close to there. Perfect place for a short stay and before going to airport.

There is no elevator in this hotel. Heavy baggage will be problem.
The hotel help us keeping the baggages as we arrive too early. But the baggage area is not so safe. Only a string on the handle of the luggages and the staff of the front desk is always not there.

When we back to the hotel. The front desk staff messed up our checkin documents and keep asking for payment of additional personal fee, which was paid in advance. At the end, he found out that the record marked paid and we finished our checkin. But when we claim our baggage the staff give us others baggages.

When I walked in the room was absolutely freezing. Tried to turn the AC on. It wouldn’t work then I got help from front desk finally got the heat going but the flat washer pointing towards the room. It was just a mess in one word I wouldn’t stay there. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

This was my first time staying in Tokyo. Front desk worker Rina was very kind and accommodating. For foreigners staying here, be sure to use the grey remote for air conditioning and heating. I did not know what it was for, but I quickly found out as it was very cold! Also, the wifi password was not correct, it was a simple English typo. Otherwise, it was a great hotel!

We only stayed one night before our flight home, the receptionist was amazing & her service 5 star review on that.
Inside the hotel was very grubby and the smell of smoke was awful. Our room was spotlessly clean and had good facilities but the smell of smoke you couldn’t ignore. And the walls were very thin so could hear people in the night. Ok for a one night stop off

Garbage hotel with terrible management. Bad weather made me miss my connection and so I was unable to make my layover in Tokyo to stay at Hotel Imalle. They refused to refund the measly $30 hotel fee. That is serious ‘short term thinking’. Good business-people would have refunded the room so that I would stay there every time I transfer through Tokyo (which I often do as a resident of Taipei). Now I’ll go somewhere else next layover. Owners should fire the manager and recruit component management that considers the long term financial returns on their decisions.

This hotel is a bit out of the way as it's a 10min walk and then a 5 station train trip into Kawasaki. There is no elevator. The rooms are quite small and bathroom set up unusual (no towel rails, shower is separate to bathroom). We grew fond of the pokey little area area & our daily walk to the station, but agreed it was an odd place to stay (the town as well as the hotel).

A pleasant surprise

I thought I'd be getting a very average, semi-clean, semi-comfortable place right off of an exit from the freeway with little to no \"Tokyo life\" nearby but I was pleasantly surprised by what I got instead. The hotel was extremely clean, the staff were extremely personable and helpful, and the location turned out to be just what I was looking for. The hotel was on a quiet street with cozy pubs, restaurants and delicatessens serving authentic Japanese food just a short walk down the street. I was there on just a ten hour layover, but after experiencing that hotel, I wished I had had another two days there.

This is a great hotel for the budget conscience. I stayed in a double bed with a bathroom with my daughter and I. The room was cleaned daily and restocked with toiletries, towels, and clean blankets tucked nicely into the bed. Heating and ac is provided. Seamless WiFi as well. All the staff were pleasant and welcoming, eager to assist and answer my questions. The only issues I had was with drying clothes at their laundry area. The dryer doesn’t get very hot and was bit expensive considering the latter. Also there is no microwave, hot water is provided though for tea and soups. Lastly and not a big deal is the smoking area upstairs was always closed, you can go outside the building and smoke but there is no formal area and the streets have virtually no litter so it felt odd for me at least to put a cigarette out on the street. I brought a ziplock with me to dispose of my butts and toss them in an actual trash receptacle. I suppose that’s a matter of choice. Anyhow, I highly recommend this hotel. It’s a five minute walk from the keiku Daishi line.

Great for early flights at Haneda. The staff kindly arranged a taxi to pick me up at 4am. The bed was comfortable, with a private bath/shower and toiletries provided. The room was very clean. Walls are paper thin so bring ear plugs! I'll be staying here for my next flight at Haneda. Thank you.

Good for solo traveler. The place was clean and the front desk was accommodating. First time in a shared cube room. The bed made creaking sound at every turn which was annoying.

Nothing close-by so better bring something like snacks if needed before checking in for the night. Never saw my roommates haha.

The website showed a private room with a shared bathroom. I got to the hotel and it was a dormitory with 8 beds. I ask for a refund and was refused. I would not have booked it if I knew that what it was. I stayed. First impression of the capsule was dirty and smelly. The bed if you want to call it that, was like sleeping on plywood and every time you moved around would loudly sqeak and so would the beds around me. I woke up almost every two hours from it. The place had horrible WiFi, I could not even make calls.

Hotel Imalle - Haneda Review August 2018

My daughter and I really enjoyed our one-week stay at Hotel Imalle. Cherie and the cleaning staff are very courteous and friendly. The premises and our room was kept clean, and properly stocked with toiletries.

I read all online reviews on Hotel Imalle prior to reserving a room online. All past comments rings true. The breakfast menu has a small selection. I would recommend doing away with the salad with ketchup dressing, and replacing it with a potato dish for Meal B. As for the dryers, it really takes 1.5 hours to truly dry a small load. I don’t know if this is because of the way Japanese dryers are engineered. I guess it is what it is. However, I would recommend that the Staff sell laundry detergent shachets. Laundry powder is not recommended when using the washing machine. Lastly, an English guidebook could help when using the aircon and bidet. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to lessen the water pressure and heat. It literally was a shocking experience in the toilet.

Stayed here during our layover on our way to Thailand and it was a very nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again on a longer visit to Japan. The people there were very friendly and accommodating and even ordered us a taxi to the airport for our morning flight. Wonderful overall!

Great hotel less than an hour from Haneda

I needed a place to stay for the night since the trains wouldn't get me all the way home. I found this little place on Expedia, and it took 40 minutes of train rides and a small bit of walking from the final station until I saw the hotel on the street. There were comfortable beds, easy to use bathrooms, breakfast options (you pay more) and direction for the heating/cooling system in english. The internet worked splendidly so I was able to get some homework done. If I am coming back from Haneda airport again, I would book again.

Had a great stay at this little place. Conveniently located in Kawasaki, close to Haneda Airport. The room was fine, breakfast service great and for dinner i loved going to the small eating places nearby with only Japanese people and Japanese menues. Everyone was nice and i had to meet all the customers and staff and was treated like a king. Uniquely wonderful experience.

There is no elevator in the building, and all rooms are at least on the second floor!
Secondly, the location is pretty bad - you need a taxi to get there, because it's a 10 min walk from a subway station (which makes it very hard to come in and out with luggage). Additionally, it's pretty far away from any tourist attractions (at least a 30-40 mins taxi/train ride).

I would like to preface this by saying that my circumstance will likely be different than most people's, so I would like people to bare that in mind when they read this review.

I had a 12 hour layover at Haneda airport, and I figured instead of staying at the airport all night to book a hotel relatively close to the airport. I booked a bed in an eight person room, but when I checked in at around 10:00 pm I was the only person in the room.

The room itself felt large enough, but then again I was the only one in it. The bed was large, comfortable, and had an outlet and USB port.

I can't comment on the breakfast, as I checked-out before 6:00 am.

All in all, if I ever have a 12+ hour layover at Haneda again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was just what I needed for an overnight stay in Tokyo while I waited for my connecting flight the next morning. The staff on duty was pleasant and very helpful in providing instructions on how to get to the airport by train. I found the hotel to be very good value and clean with adequate facilities. However, the cubicle that I slept in and the one above mine were very noisy. They made a lot of creaking noises when I moved in the cubicle.

The hotel offers good value for money with free parking and WIFI. As my family went on self-drive in Japan, the hotel was an excellent choice as it offered free parking and is not far from the car rental office near to Haneda airport. The only flipside is that the hotel does not have a lift and we have to carry out luggage up the stairs to our room. The hotel is also near to kawasaki daishi and offers a nice stroll to a neighbourhood stroll. Dining choices near hotel is limited.
