The room was nice. It was small but clean and well maintained. I only did a night stay and it was perfect for that. Very close to restaurants and such. I had two small issues and that was nonice machine on property and there was a overhanging plant in the way if getting to my room. I'm short so it wasn't much of a problem but could be a problem for someone taller. And u can hear the traffic outside. So that can be unsettling but overall I had a good stay and in a pinch I would stay there again.

Our 2 night stay was uneventful and the room was nice, just as in the website photos. The fridge has to be the coldest one I've ever had in any room we've stayed in. Plenty of places to eat nearby and shop.

While the property was pretty and comfortable, I wanted to note some confusion regarding the pet fees. I was originally under the impression that there was a $40 one-time pet fee based on information found online on their website. However, I was charged $90 and subsequently informed that because I booked through Expedia, the rate is actually $30 per night.

I recommend that future guests double-check the specific terms of their booking platform, as the fees vary depending on how you book.

The refrigerator didn’t work. The microwave didn’t work. The coffee machine was not working properly. a lot of the Furniture was broken. The kitchen table had scuff marks all over it. The Furniture was dirty. The bedding was not 100% clean. The shower curtain was filthy. They have renovated it, but they are not keeping it up the pictures make it look good, but the Place is poor. The kiosk is unacceptable. They need a human being there. I feel discriminated against for being disabled, humiliated having to try to explain why I had a Service Animal. Even after presenting a doctors letter, which I am now getting revised because they stated they would not accept it. We called to make sure there was not a fee prior to checking in. They were trying to charge me $35 one complaining to Expedia. They decided to waive the fee all of that was unnecessary. The only reason we stayed and didn’t leave the first day is because it was late and all the other hotels were exorbitantly higher than we wanted to pay.

We love palm cove and stay there anytime we need to book a motel in the Clearwater area. Great property! Very nice and clean rooms and great management for this property. The management is always so nice and helpful. We definitely recommend palm cove to anyone who is looking for a very nice,clean private place to stay!

Check in was difficult with voice quality through self check in kiosk. The agent tried sending the room lock electronic code to my email and to my cell phone multiple times. Code finally came one hour later. Outside lighting by door was very dark. Light in the room from air conditioner unit and clock was very bright all night.

I didn't expect a Kiosk (machine) with another person on the screen/web cam from another side of the world to check you in the hotel. Maybe I'm old fashion. The shower towels were dirty, but there are extra towels in the game room where we checked in. Decent to stay for a night and don't expect much.

The room was very clean. The room was decorated nice and modern and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the TV did not even turn on and the door was coming off of its hinges. We asked if someone could possibly come to look at the door and replace the TV. No one came. We were very busy in our short 2 day visit so these problems did not have an impact in having a great time. This cute Motel has great reviews and we think that this is something that happens. We would stay again and give it another chance.

Property is spotless! Room was huge and extremely clean! Checking in with a kiosk was different I must admitt however it was so easy! What they don’t tell you is that there is a deposit for incidentals that is required (I wasn’t prepared for this and had to leave and come back to continue my check in). Parking lot has numbered parking spaces to match up with the rooms which was really nice. Internet needs work as it kept kicking me off while I was trying to get some work done, frustrating enough for me to give in and use my personal hotspot. Check out was easy as well fast and efficient! I definitely will be returning for another stay soon as I’m relocating to the area and looking for my new home. Amazing little place!!

Prince was very helpful! The kiosk system they use was quick and easy. When there was a minor issue with the lock code prince was able to help immediately based off of each room having its own ring camera. Loved the Palm cove motel and will definitely recommend to others. It’s one of my favorite places to stay. I’ve stayed at least 10 times already. It’s always clean. No bugs ever. Always clean towels . The game room is so much fun. Offering a pool table which me and my boyfriend use every time we stay. Thank you for such a great place to stay.

The room was fresh and spotless. However, it took multiple phone calls to get access code to room; it then had to be changed several times as it did not work. On the second night the television was not working. After 90 minutes on the phone it was deemed that it was no longer working.
On both instances I was speaking to someone offsite. Both were very apologetic and understood my frustration. I would like a partial refund.

Received text room ready for arrival hours before. 4pm check in room was not clean for myself or another guest who happened to be in the parking lot calling front desk number who said they would get back to us. One hr later still no word so first called and was told same thing would call directly back after contacting housekeeping staff so we finally drove back walk in room is thrown together. Tv operates with Roku remote and LG remote which was missing call again told again will get right back with you. Never heard anything so watched TV on phone entire stays which thank goodness was only to wind down for evening. Aside from poor communication appearing after paying you could be the less of the worry the motel is still ver spacious, well cleaned, easily accessible. Highly secured and they know what you are doing 24/7 with a ring camera etc just wish they cared half as much about you once your in there PAID as they do about what you might do or bring onto property

The room was very clean and conveniently located. The TV remote didn’t work but we didn’t need the TV. The outlet under the window didn’t work but we improvised. It would have been nice to have at least 2 chairs in the room so one person didn’t have to sit on the bed. The communication was prompt between myself and management. We will definitely stay again.

Property is okay for a quick stay. It’s more like an airbnb than a hotel. There is definitely a disruption/lack in communication between the agent you can message or call and their staff. I had arrived in the evening and there were some odd stains on the linens, but no staff on site to get new ones. Online agent did inform me housekeeping would be by at 11 the next morning and would change them. The next morning I was woken up by people knocking at my door at 9:30 am, un announced and in no type of uniform to identify themselves as housekeeping there to change my linens, which was really alarming as a solo traveler to have a man and a bunch of women at my door. Then another man came in my room and said he was there to fix my ac unit (that was leaking) and proceeded haul tools and parts into the room and use the towels provided to clean up the leaking water from the ac. The agent did message me a couple hours later to ask if someone can access my room later today to fix my ac. I asked for clean towels but never got them. Overall it was okay, room was clean for the most part. But I have stayed in airbnbs where hosts were way more attentive. And as a hotel I don’t think I would book again though.

I always stay in nice hotels never motels … but this time I was trying to save money and closely relied on reviews. People said it was clean it was just so so and people said it was close to everything it was miles from everything. The only place in walking distance was the ballpark. How did they never mention how scary it is for a woman traveling alone to arrive to no front desk, no staff, having to get your own towels and toilet paper? No body wash in dispenser and I call to have it filled it never was and when I call back she says they said it was filled even though I said it was not. Broken air conditioner. Reported and never fixed. No ventilation try sleeping nights in Fl w no air con. Worst experience of my life. Normally Expedia reviews can be relied upon. What were these people on? They must be people who bever stayed in a real place. Avoid here at all costs not worth it to save a little.😡

I was here for two nights on business. From the outside it looks like a 1950s motel with mature palm trees and has a very laid back vibe. The inside looks like the picture - renovated and clean. It was a little strange not having staff on site, but it totally worked - they communicated effectively through messages and I really didn't miss it all all. Check in was great. I was also traveling alone and as a woman don't usually pick a place with an outside door. I felt safe and comfortable here and would stay here again.

Palm Cove Motel is a cute place to stay for couples. We found our suite to be spacious and clean. Although it is close to a major road, the bedroom was whisper quiet for sleeping. Check in process was seamless without the need for a concierge. Would recommend!

Cleanliness was the biggest detractor. All of the linens were stained, causing us to have to go out and purchase fresh ones. The floor may have visibly not been dirty but after wearing socks around the room you can see the dirt on the bottom of them that the light color laminate does not reflect. Saw a dead roach also. After that, we just kept questioning how clean everything else was or if the rooms were regularly taken care of. $35 gets you housekeeping, so does that mean that the bare minimum between guests is done unless you pay? Doesn’t seem acceptable.
It wasn’t difficult to check and get accommodated, but I think more clarity about the system in which you check and communicate with staff would’ve been nice. It’s a bit jarring being told to travel to different locations and do things on your own when traveling somewhere you’re not familiar with.
The location of the hotel itself was absolutely perfect though, it’s generally central to everything you’d want to do in Clearwater. If it weren’t for that we would’ve left.

I recently stayed and had someone use the lock code and walk into my room at almost 1 in the morning. I was sleeping but the bright light outside woke me up. The hotel did nothing for me, just changed the door code. Having someone walk into your room is never ok on a vacation. Kind of ruined my entire experience

Staff is terrible. No reception desk. The woman messaging me did not send me my room number or door code even after check in when I texted her for it. She sent me a message with missing info such as "your room number is (..)" and did not even put it in the message. I had to call multiple times. There is no reception desk which is very odd you have to call staff for everything. All communication is through phone. I got a message saying early check in would be available at 1 but when I called at 2:30 after our flight landed it was not available and we just stood around for an hour till after 4 check in time since she did not even send me my door code or room number. Location is horrible right next to a busy road and very loud.

Before check-in i received a message that my door code was **** so i messaged the location questioning that as it seemed unsafe ti have a generic code. They messaged back woth instructions to go to the lockbox of the room you are assigned and retrieve the key. Glad i messaged first. Got my key and unpacked into the room. Realized as im unpacking that there are 2 beds. The room i booked was a deluxe queen bedroom with a dining area, microwave, etc. Im one person with a dog that was getting home renovations done so i only needed 1 bed and the seating area to be able to eat the food i brought plus floor space for the dog. I reached out to the motel and they told me i booked the type of room i was given and that i needed to take it up with Expedia. Expedia confirmed the room i booked was not what i was given. Expedia called the property and they said the decription online was incorrect. I can understand little things being off but the bed count was even wrong. Motel said there's nothing they can do but approve a cancellation. At this point it is 7pm and I had work in the morning so i take my peace offering from expedia and attempt to make the best of the stay. I went for a cup of coffee and saw i was only given the option for hazelnut. Vending machines do not work in gameroom including lock to get in. Now its 8pm and i have no way to make anything to eat. Guys in room next to me smoking blunts outside the door. Ended up leaving a night early. Clean inside.

this place it trash. They charge your CC for stained towels WHAT NO washing machine and can't produce me an email within an hour. Then don't respond to the text Then when you try to get it they play phone games. The last lady answered in Spanish last I check America and joe talks from across the room on speaker phone. Then the Spanish lady says she'll contact me back without taking my number and hangs up on me. DO NOT STAY AT THIS FACILITY

This place is very affordable, very clean, and lots of restaurant choices to choose from. West from the Motel is the beautiful Gulf waters, and to the East is the beautiful Tampa Bay waters. And so much to do and see maybe only half hour away around the place. It is like a Air BnB, but the staff is very pleasant to work with and helpful. Would go back in a heartbeat if ever in that area again!!!!

Unsafe location. Creeps hanging out in parking lot watching rooms. Waited for me to pull out and then immediately went to our room where my wife was alone and started knocking on the door repeatedly asking her to open the door. No motel management present so we had to call the police so we could load up our belongings and find another, safer place to stay the night.

I have stayed in 5-star hotels with bath sheets worth hundreds of dollars, I do not need your $5 bath mat and bath towels to take back to Texas with me. Went through my email chains and I recalled emailing them the night I checked in to let them know I need an iron and I need a bath mat. They emailed back and said bath mats are provided in the room. I emailed them and let them know there was no bath mat in room 3 the evening I checked in, so they emailed again and told me I can grab it from the clubhouse. I went the next day to the clubhouse, grabbed the iron and bath mat and enjoyed the rest of my 4 nights in the room (in spite of the very cramped quarters and the very low water toilet). They charged my credit card $50 on the night I checked in. If I stole your mat and towels, as you claim your "cleaning crew" says I did, wouldn't you have charged that $50 after I checked out 4 days later and not the day of check in? Rather than admitting their mistake of charging me $50 for the mat and towels that were clearly stolen by the guest prior to my stay, they continued to argue and accuse over email. Very shady establishment. DO NOT recommend.

Nice place power went out because a duck tripped a transformer, but power was back on quickly, washer was broke down all week waiting on a part but offered to reimburse me if i went and did simewhere else, tv is Roku and streaming apps, we had a car hit the building and scared the life out of me driver had a seizure. Everyone was ok except buildingtook avhit. Would stsy again been exciting to say the least. Im Disabled and had to order out fir food and such bus stop on the other side of a busy 6 lane road. So that was an frightening experience.
