The Weathervane was fine for a one night stay where I just needed a bed without breaking the bank but be wary of the quality you’re getting. The room was decently clean but definitely outdated and could do with pretty extensive renovations. Carpet, comforter, curtains, and walls were stained and counter tops were mysteriously sticky, but the linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi info was written on a wrinkled sticky note, which would be easy to miss. No overhead lights but there were lots of lamps, the bathroom was well lit, and the natural light from the big back yard was nice.

My biggest complaints/concerns were that the front door had no deadbolt, just the lock in the handle, which didn’t seem very secure. The check in process is also not very straightforward. It seems that the owner/manager lives on the property, but no one came to the door when we rang the doorbell for the office. One of the staff members had to call someone to come down and hand us a key. They were not the friendliest nor very informative, don’t expect high quality service. I also ran out of water mid shower and had no running water for the rest of the night. It was back on again in the morning, but overall I didn’t feel the quality of the stay was worth the price. Book with caution.

This was the absolute worst stay I have ever experienced at a motel. We drive up and it looks abandoned. There is no lobby. I rang the doorbell several times and no one answered so I called. The guy came to the door and gave me my room key. The room had holes all in the wall, the back door was screwed shut, the carpet was ripped, and it smelled musty. We had NO running water so we called the guy again. He turned the water on. In the morning while my son was showering, the water shut off mid shower. We called and they turned the water back on. My husband then took a shower and again the water shut off mid way through his shower. I had to call for the THIRD time to ask for them to turn on the water. Each time - it took around 15 minutes to get running water. DO NOT STAY HERE!

So this is a motel. That means all the windows look out at the parking lot. In order for this to work as designed, you need to have 2 layers of functional curtains; A heavy one and a sheer one. These curtains didn't work, so we couldn't see the lovely view. The HVAC did the job.

Do not trust! We were traveling to VT for a ski trip. 5 minutes before our arrival (around 5 pm) we get a call from the hotel that there are frozen pipes and there is no water. We arrived and spoke to the manager. He seemed nice. Since they did not have a serviceable room we decided to book a different hotel. The manager said we would not need to pay for the room, but needed to contact Expedia since they are charging the cost.

However, we were charged for the room that day and have not recieved a refund yet. We called Expedia who tried to contact the manager while I was on hold. They couldn't reach him so they sent him an email. According to Expedia the charge comes directly from the motel and they had to reverse the charge. The next day I find my request for refund was denied. The manager apparently did not responde to the email. A few days later I contacted the motel directly. Again he lied and told me Expedia needed to reverse the charge. I got him to agree to respond to the email from Expedia, but I can't confirm that he did it. I called Expedia again. This time they did reach the manager while I was on hold and they got an agreement to reverse the charge.

They it show up on my credit card within 7 days. It has been 7 days and I have still not recieved the refund. It appears he did not reverse the charge. So, now I am warning you to stay away. This motel is not managed well and is not good to deal with if there is an issue. Don't waste your money!

Arrived the room was so cold I couldn’t even stay in the room I literally left the property and came back hours later. Beds look like they were grabbed from the dumb. Bathroom door has pealing paint ceiling everywhere is moldy. Today I’m realizing I have bug bites all over my body. I arrived late so I couldn’t just decline with room and find another hotel. But this was NOT from a good experience. I cannot believe I spent the night there.

Room was very old and dated. The floor was extremely uneven and felt like the wood was rotting. The lightbulbs were daylight and not warm which gives off a wierd whitish flow instead of warm and cozy. This was the. Cheapest option in the area so you get what you pay for. I was just hoping for something a little nicer. The beds were clean but there were no headboards and the pink bathroom looked like it was from 1950. Overall it was fine to stay in Manchester after skiing but but my son kept saying “Jeeze dad, you couldn’t have spent an extra $30 so we could have a nicer room somewhere else!?”. Oh well. Great location and the owner/manager seemed like a very nice man who was super helpful.

Stayed two night for a family wedding. The floors when you walk around literally have holes under the carpet where you will trip multiple times. The beds felt like you were sleeping on a bed spring. The lights were full of bugs and there's dirt and holes in the bathroom wall. Also there is rarely anyone working there.

he whole motel was in very poor repair. the room smelled of RAW sewerage, window curtains did not cover the windows, very little hot water for short periods of time, no one came to make beds, remove trash. the thermostat was hidden behind a straw hat so that patrons couldn't adjust heat or cooling the manager said someone would be checking the room and making the beds plus providing fresh linen. this did not happen. Once we checked in, we did not see anyone for the rest of our stay. we left the motel a day early, we had more than enough

Needed a place to stay overnight before the Peru Fair. Arrived a little later in the evening, but was greeted with a friendly smile and checked in immediately.
Room was clean, way bigger than I expected, and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. It was dark when I arrived and when I left, but parking area was very well lit and I enjoyed a nice quiet night.
Great price and a huge value for the area.

This was very convenient for a friend and I who were attending a nearby wedding. We liked the vintage decor and extra long counter. There were areas of the room that needed repair and replacement, but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. My friend noticed a strangely placed camera out the back door that weirded her out (seemed to be one at our patio and no one else’s). View from the patio was beautiful.

It’s pretty worn down, but the staff is really nice and the rooms are spacious. Definitely a great place if you have a few friends coming up for a ski weekend. Lots of space to spread out all the gear. It’s not the lap of luxury, but it’s a good value for the price. I’ve stayed here before and I’m sure I will again.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever been in. We tried to get our money back and the website said they asked the owners and it was refused. The owner in the middle of the day 2 o’clock his pants were half falling off. He looked like he hadn’t taken a bath and days he was gross and then he was rude. When we couldn’t get our money back. We were desperate and stayed. There were holes on the floor black stuff in the corner. the place was just dirty outdated and smelled disgusting. The smell of the of the place was in my clothes when we left. The place out dated and dirty. I tripped on the beat up broken down walkway. I heard people walking around upstairs all night. Bright light shining through curtains all night. I didn’t dear walk on rug without my shoes, I refused to the bathroom. I slept with my dress over me so I could stay warm, I absolutely did not want the sheets or blankets on me. I didn’t sleep at all I was so uncomfortable. My boyfriend needed a couple of hours sleep before driving home 2.5 hours , that was the only reason why we stayed, once he woke very early morning, before sun rise we left. I didn’t use the bathroom or even brushed my hair or teeth just put shoes on and left.
I can’t understand why Manchester VT allows a place like this to continue business, it should be shut down.

The staff member at check in was very nice. However the room was very dirty and outdated. Spider webs, dust, and bugs were throughout the room and bathroom. Desperately needs an update. Bathroom fan was hanging out of ceiling. Bath tub would not drain the water. Door had gap and barely locked, leaving us feeling unsafe. We ended up not staying longer than an hour.

The interior of this motel was extremely tired/rundown. Shower fixtures were loose, holes/tares in the carpet, damage to the interior walls etc. The toilet in the bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous stay leaving \"skid marks\" in the toilet bowl.

The room was clean, however, there were no extra towels, no toiletries, tissues, etc. Not even a bar of soap to wash your hands. There was a small fridge in the room but no microwave. No access to coffee, water, ice. When we checked in, the room was left unlocked with the key on the table which was a little unsettling.

When I drove in the property looked old and looked like it could use some maintenance. I was very pleased with my room. Comfortable and lots of room. Clean.

This property is very much like out of Schitts
Creek. The office appeared closed so I drove further past looking for maybe another office and a guy whistled loudly at me to come back. I turned around and parked. He checked me into the motel and gave me room # and key. Upon entering the room it had ripped curtains held together with one of those refrigerator clips. The floor had a strange slant to it. There was no hot water in the sink. But I finally got some hot water at the tub faucet so I could wash my face. I would have left but it was late and all I wanted to do was sleep and get up early to hit the slopes. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable and the other neighboring rooms were quiet.

Property has seen better days. Nice location. We arrived about 7:30 and checkin area looked dark. I rang the bell and the 'receptionist' handed me a key, pointed toward the room, and showed me where to return the key in the AM. The room size was pretty big with a long countertop near the bathroom. But, couldn't get any hot water in the shower. They had wifi, but no information on the password. Some tiles in bathroom were on floor and in need of repair. Heat worked well, we heard a couple of 'crashes' off the roof at night--nots what they were. .

Motel is clean and cared-for, but definitely from the 60's-70's. Imagine the motel in Schitt's Creek. I am fine with that, but anyone should know it's not modern.
Stayed overnight for two ski days; plenty of room to spread out, plenty of hot water, bed was adequately firm.
Recommend for the price.

Had to call and ask for salt to be spread on the sidewalk outside the door to control the dangerous ice. Hot water took a VERY long time to get to the bathroom sink and shower. Noticed the U.S. flag was completely ripped. That flag is not serviceable and should have been replaced before it reached that state.

I pulled up and the property looked abandoned. It had snowed the night before, and at 5:00pm when I arrived, the driveway was still not plowed. It was difficult to determine which door was the reception area, and there were no lights on. It was also apparent I would have been the only guest.

Basically the whole place was sketchy and made me very uncomfortable.

I had pre-paid for the room through expedia with a requirement to cancel a day or two before arrival for a refund. But how can I be held to that since I did arrive with the intention to stay, but only after seeing this place did I want to cancel for my own safety ?

To their credit, the person checking me in, when I expressed my concerns, said they would not hold me to the reservation and would refund my money. They said the credit would have to be managed through Expedia though, and they would approve it.

This is not what happened. The Manager of the property whom I later spoke with basically refused to honor what their employee committed to. Effectively they stole the money from me as I did not use their services, but they kept my money.

The place is old and run down, but the price reflects that. I was not expecting a 5 star establishment, but I would have expected at the very least, a safe environment. This place and the people running this place are to be avoided.
