This was a work related trip. The first night I was woken up in the middle of the night when someone tried to enter my room with a key. It was an employee who was confused because the room showed vacant and I was never registered in the room. I know mistakes happen, but this scare woke me up and interrupted my sleep before a long day of work. Additionally, my TV only had a dozen sports channels and nothing else. The bedside light was not working. Twice I asked for assistance (once in person at the desk). It was never fixed. The rooms are very clean and its nice having a mini fridge and microwave. The common areas arent as well attended to. Chipped pain, sloppy staff uniform polos, vacuum and cart sitting in the hallway for two days. Ive stayed at better Microtels.

The room was very clean, the pool was wonderful! The breakfast was good. No fresh fruit but good waffles. Staff is very pleasant. We will stay again
Dany
Todo super bien 👍

The staff was excellent, both friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Our issue was with the design of the property itself. The ADA compliant bathroom was horrible. The toilet was too close to the wall and water from the shower ran onto the floor and out the door no matter how careful the user was. The furniture was as cheap as it could possibly be and still function. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay there again as there are other comparably priced options.

Room was very clean! Staff was great!! Overall GREAT experience!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our family recently stayed at Microtel Inn & Suites Camp Lejeune/Jacksonville, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience.
The first person I want to recognize is KIM, the manager. Her leadership is obvious the moment you walk through the door. She made our family feel genuinely welcome and went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. KIM has created an atmosphere where guests feel like more than just a room number. She is professional, caring, and clearly takes pride in both her hotel and her staff.
I also want to recognize Sheena and Chade at the front desk. They were some of the friendliest hotel employees we have ever met. They took time to talk with us, made our children feel special, and treated us like family. Our kids looked forward to seeing them every day. They handed out candy, invited us to a cookout, and served hot dogs and hamburgers while making everyone feel welcome. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do and care about the guests.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was very good and a great way to start the day before heading out.
The location is another huge plus. It’s only a few minutes from some great all-you-can-eat crab leg restaurants and about 30 minutes from Topsail Beach, making it a convenient place for a family vacation.

The staff was fantastic ! The breakfast was below expectations but doable
Gloria
All staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. Rooms were clean and well stocked
Caleb
Room was clean, staff was helpful, everything around was at a good distance and have no complaints whatsoever with everything that was offered to us.
Carla
Loved the large walk in shower, hated the bare bedroom floor. Breakfast was so so. Of the things I usually eat - watery oatmeal, old biscuits, coffee was terrible. Several people were making waffles but it was too much of an effort for me.
Kelly
Great stay
Eileen
Rooms were clean, quiet and the beds were comfy. The pool was very clean. Breakfast was pretty good. The ladies were very good about restocking it when it ran out and they were really sweet. Definitely one of my most positive hotel stays. Would stay here again if I am in the area again in the future
LaShica
We stayed 1 night overall it was nice and clean and friendly people 👌 will stay again
Michelle
Lady at the desk was so nice and funny, which made checking in very easy. Once I entered my room, it was well cleaned and everything looked and felt fresh. This is my second time staying here and I enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend!
Pamala
The room was clean and the overall look of the hotel was clean. Some things in the bathroom are outdated but I would choose this hotel again for a short stay.
Dahianna
Staff was very helpful.
Jason
A good stay and the breakfast was nice too.
Melissa
The breakfast was fresh the AC worked well. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely recommend this property!
Raquel
Rude staff

The only flaw to my stay was that I was unable, for some reason, to access the wi-fi service on the evening of 29 April, and was too tired to go downstairs to ask about it. I had to wait until the following morning to troubleshoot the problem, but did manage to tap into the wi-fi then.
Jill
Was a good stay
Elias
Cleanness! Friendly!
Brianna
The room was disgusting. And you could hear every little thing going on. The pictures are not telling the truth. There was crumbs on the furniture, hair on the shower and bed and mysterious goop on the walls and chairs. Would not recommend.
Richard
Best coffee in my opinion for hotel
Daniel
yes, no issues
Michael
Breakfast had a great selection! Very clean. Staff PLEASANT and helpful!
KENNETH
Room is small but clean, breakfast was surprisingly good, staff was awesome, and the price was right. If you need to stay in Jacksonville NC, this would be a very good choice...

I don’t travel a ton but I can honestly say that my room was probably the worst room I’ve ever had. The first two outlets I tried didn’t work at all. The air conditioning unit was incredibly loud and made odd noises. The toilet in the bathroom was not secure so it moved around and was unpleasant underneath. It looked like someone at some point had sat in the bar/buffet thing that runs along the wall, and it was pushed down at an angle, which is probably why that outlet didn’t work. Then we could hear every step the room above us made all night and in the mornings. Most troubling was that the dead bolt on the door didn’t work, so we couldn’t really lock the door besides the key card reader and the little flip lock on the top.
I will say that their breakfast, and the sweet lady that makes it, were outstanding! I’ve never been to a hotel that serves biscuits and gravy every morning.

The room was dirty. The pull out couch was convenient however when the cushions were pulled off there was dirt/crumbs as well as 3 small plastic bags that had a small amount of white crystal like powder in them. The blanket/cover was dirty. When I brought to the attention of the man at the counter he didn’t seem to care. And brushed it off. I had children with me. I asked for a partial refund and a different room but comparable room i was told there were no more rooms to accommodate me. I am still waiting for a partial refund.
Matt
Yes and everything was awesome

Stayed at the Microtel in Jacksonville, NC from April 9–12, 2026, and it was easily one of the most frustrating hotel stays I’ve had.
Right at check-in, I was hit with a $50 “room key” deposit that was never mentioned anywhere during booking. There was no clear explanation—just an expectation to pay it. Hidden or poorly explained charges like this feel deceptive and set the tone immediately.
The front desk experience made things worse. The receptionist was noticeably rude, slammed the credit card machine down during the transaction, and had an overall dismissive attitude. There was no greeting, no professionalism—just a sense that guests were an inconvenience.
Trying to resolve the issue afterward was pointless. When I called to make a complaint, I was given a reference number and nothing else—no effort to address the concern, no follow-up, no accountability.
The room itself was basic and not worth the hassle that came with the stay. Between the lack of transparency, poor treatment at the front desk, and zero customer service when issues were raised, this was not a good experience.
I would not stay here again and would strongly recommend looking at other options in the area.

The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The AC worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the pillows didn't swallow you up like a marshmallow. These were better quality accommodations than higher priced hotels we've stayed at. IT WAS WONDERFUL AND THE MANAGER WAS GREAT!
Diana
Parking was super easy.
Cindy
Clean room and staff was great
Cindy
Everyone was very nice and helpful. Place was clean, breakfast was great and great location.
Tim
Small, but spacious room that is well presented. Very comfy bedding, and well sound insulated (in general). Handy parking but no idea on the breakfast as left too early
ALICIA
Very comfortable rooms. Has accessibilities to restaurants and Malls.
Josh
Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast
Juan Sebastian
It was a nice place to stay.
John
It was fine for a night. Met all our basic needs. Plenty of good restaurants in vicinity.
Shakira
It was average for a cheaper hotel stay in a small town. It is unfortunate because whether it is a lucrative busy town or not, everything should be stellar when you're spending your money. Expectations have often been lowered when it comes to small towns and what they offer. It is truly unfortunate. The room was outdated, lots of things could've been wiped down better. The bedding was fine, but the mat in the window was dusty and dirty, the inside of the microwave plate was dirty which is insane. The handles in the bathroom on the sink and in the tub were dirty and I bought lysol wipes to clean it. Overall certain things just weren't clean. Then the patrons...it's okay to turn away people who wreak of drugs. It really is. Anyway, I did feel safe, i guess so thats a plus. Breakfast was nice, hot, and had a variety of options. Parking was fine and staff were cool.
Michael
The housekeepers didn’t clean my room at all. My wife and I came back to our room and couldn’t access the room due to the latch being broken and it took them almost an hour to get us into our room, this was around 3 am. I would never recommend this place to anyone
Alejandro
Excellent hotel. Great price and Location!! They keep the hotel spotless. The staff clean all day everybody was very friendly. A special thanks to Gabriel one the managers who went beyond the expectations and brought our granddaughter a toy.
Thank you for everything
Thank you for everything
Lori
Friendly/knowledgeable staff, clean room, and close to everything!
Dana
Room was not clean. Never was brought towels. Charges for incidentals whatever that as never got deposit back. I left a housekeeping tip cleaned up the room and took out our trash. So I don’t know what happened there. I called and they didn’t have an answer!
joseph
Gal at check-in was very good. Room was super clean. Breakfast was one of the best! Again, I am surprised that a quality operation would not have grab bars in shower.
Dana
Great stay
Anthony
Staff gave us donuts:)
Halie
I purposely choose this hotel solely based off of the staff. Rooms are always clean and tidy, but the staff is really what makes me pick this place.
Nicholas
Room walls are thin i could hear conversations on rooms on either side of me
Jennifer
The room was clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast could be a little better but it's as expected. I would definitely stay here again.
Vanessa
Clean room and good breakfast for very reasonable price
Dustin
I love staying at this hotel. Its quiet and peaceful and you have stores around you within easy walking distance so jo hassel at all!!! Ill be back if i can!!!
Bonnie
Clean room seemed to be updated. Bathroom very nice.
Diana
Staff was very nice and helpful. Especially the manager. My room was clean. A great place to stay .
Sally
The room was a lot smaller than I was expecting. The front desk staff also gave me a room on the first floor right by the lobby so I could hear people walking around, the elevator being used, people in the kitchen area to eat and people talking in the hallways. Other than that, it was decently clean and standard amenities. Overall, nothing special but wished I had a quieter room.
Barry
Everything about our stay was just great, with one exception: the outlets were very loose, difficult to make a connection. We told staff and they promised to get it taken care of. But room was nice, great breakfast, nice people, would stay there again.
Jamari
Great stay for the price! Everything was clean, and the air conditioning & heater adjusted quickly once changed. The staff were super friendly and helpful the whole time. I didn’t try the breakfast myself, but I saw guests enjoying it, so I’m sure it’s solid. If you’re on the fence about booking, I’d definitely recommend staying here.
April
Very nice breakfast setup. Room very clean.

The only place I stay when I visit.
Eric
Place was clean, spacious, and everything worked well. Super fast internet, which was PERFECT and exactly what I was looking for. Staff and management were awesome. Would book there again.
Anne
Noisy, people slamming doors, noise from upstairs so loud we couldn't sleep, dirty curtains, dirty carpet in the room.
Joshua
Yes
Carrie
Very pleasantly surprised by this nice stay.
Elisabeth
I found the hotel and room to be pretty clean.
Rasheeda
When you walk in the lobby you are hit with the strong smell of a fragrance that obviously is used to cover up something.
When walking down the hallway, you can smell that the carpet is due for a cleaning.
The first room I went to smelled like a dirty bathroom, with a very strong urine smell. The staff person was able to switch me to another room.
The next room had that unclean carpet smell, but I figured this was as good as they could do.
After checking in I went out to a couple stores, but when I came back my room AC was blowing out this really bad smell - like a combination of something sour and unclean.

My wife and I have stayed several times and the staff is always super friendly. The rooms are always clean and the beds are nice and comfortable. The only thing I have a complaint about is they changed their breakfast. They use to have eggs bacon or sausage and gravy and bit it they have went to a more traditional continental style breakfast. Also there was car parked in the ev charging station the whole time we were there and they never allowed that. The parking lot was dirty and there were some homeless people around the pool. The motel itself is very convenient for shopping and restaurants. My wife and I will be back but I just hope they can get their act together
Haley
My room was clean but a little muggy. Opened a window and it was fine. I wiped everything down with wipes, even the bathroom floor, and was surprised by how clean it was. For a quick and last minute stay, I have no complaints. Nice little breakfast with waffles and such. Didn’t like how the tables were right in front of the workers tho.
Walker
Good for a nice clean affordable stay

Room condition was ok and overall clean.
Not our favorite stay, but it served its purpose. The breakfast selection was a highlight.
Brittany
Upon arrival the manager was very welcoming. The room was clean and it just felt great until then night time I got bit my bed bugs! I reported to the front desk heavy set lady and she was so clueless on what to do. I was very patient with her so she can figure out how to deal with it she told me she would call me back hours went by I had to call her back and she lied and said she tried calling but don't know what happened remind you this I'm calm I said ok I asked to speak with a manger reming you this was over the weekend fast forward I make a call to the manager and he reported to me they could not extend my stay very confused my husband goes to have a conversation turns to find out the same woman that was clueless on what to do lied and said I was yelling at her and hung up on her and was combative I became so upset that this person would lie I wanted to confront her but I just let it go because we had 1 more night with the hotel. No way I was rebooking again after that incident.BEWARE!
Brittany
The front desk person was rude would not recommend.
Jessica
I will definitely return, when I come back to this town. I give it a Thumbs up!!

Super clean, but simple, bare bones hotel but it had everything I needed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was typical but good. I wasn't crazy about the wet dog smell in the hallway or my room. Other than that, it was a nice stay.
Jose L
The property is not well maintained and managed. Also, the hotel needs better pest control.
Don
Room is small but clean, efficient and has everything one needs for an overnight stay. I left the fan on the AC on all night to block out hallway noise. Close to many restaurants, businesses and services. 10 minutes from main gate of Camp Lejeune.
Demond
I give this place a 100 I love the staff it was clean quiet safe and a good area I will recommend that my friends come and stay at this place
Mark
It was a very rainy week end and there was no car port to park under to get people in and out of my truck , you got soaked in the process. Parking was tight specially when you drive a full size pickup
MARIO
This hotel property & rooms are advertised. Clean & comfortable. Friendly staff. Highly recommended
