The pictures online don’t compare to what is actually there. It is run down in the ghetto part of Jacksonville. Use the term newly renovated lightly. Sure the rooms were updated but leave much to be desired. The staff must have seen our faces as they raced to quickly run our card and get our key card made. There was a dying palmetto bug on the floor when we stepped in. The floor was dirty. Sheets were clean. The door jam looked as thought it had been pried open by one too many swat teams. It is extremely loud outside with passing traffic. The upstairs people ran around until the wee hours of the morning. It’s a long building with the office in the middle. It’s like the monthly renters live on one side and the hotel guests stay in the other. People working on their broken down cars in the parking lot. Wyndham should be ashamed to be associated with this place honestly.

For starters, the pool does not have water in it so don't come here expecting to swim. The breakfast was not much of a breakfast at all... The bananas were rotten and the only other items they had was coffee and yogurt.

The first room they gave us was completely flipped upside down. Bed upside down, literally. Fridge and cabinets pulled away from the wall. TV off the wall mount. It was crazy. We took a video.

I went downstairs and showed the man at the front desk. He assured me he would give me a new room and then asked me to delete the video. I told him "sure, after I see the new room." He said "oh so you want to play that game." I told him I was not playing any games, I want to see the next room.

Well, the next room was a room with a person already in it. I opened the door and the jam did stop it but I could see a man laying in his bed.

I went back to the front office and of course, I'm irritated at this point and my boyfriend is visibly getting more and more irritated. Finally, the last room was okay. It looked how I would have expected my first room to look at worst.

There was still some dead bugs and some leftover used soap in the shower but the bed looked clean and made up and the room was decent. We still stayed for the two nights we booked but we will never stay again! That's for sure.

We didn't get to take a hot shower for the 3 days we were on our trip because the water doesn't run hot. It was cold!

Picked this place for the pool. Pool didn’t work.

More fees when I showed up even after doing the online check in. Probably to cover cost of all the roaches that were taking over my room. Power was out for several hours with no explanation. Key card kept not working. Had to have it reset every single time I left the property.

I will never choose anything by Best Western.
I will never choose anything by Wyndham.

Any business putting their name on this business and saying they operate under those names, I cannot and will never frequent.

This establishment is disgusting and should be burned to the ground. To think a restaurant shares a common wall with this roach hotel makes it even more disgusting.

I hope this review has been as clear as it has been factual.

The room was okay for what we paid for. No complaints about the cleanliness of the room. The staff checking us in and out was phenomenal and was very friendly and eager to help. The staff designated to clean was cleaning at 11:30am, which was not ideal for any sleeping guests especially with walls very thin. The pool was not filled when we arrived so I am unsure of what dates it is open if anyone is looking for a pool during their stay in Jacksonville.

Advertised on hotels.com, pool, no water, breakfast, no breakfast even though there is a card IN THE ROOM that says continental breakfast from 5:30 to 9. First room , shower didnt work, second room hair dryer doesn't work. Went to the office the first evening for help and the door was locked. No more Days Inn or Wyndham for my family or friends if this is how their associates do business. We'll be staying elsewhere.

I was met by a friendly staff member, who was very helpful. The room I was given was dirty. The staff member quickly changed my room to a room in the back of this hotel that is on the ground floor. In this area the rooms are all on the ground floor. There were a few problems that are not worth mentioning, but not being able to get the water warm enough to shower was concerning. My main and most upsetting concern was at 9 PM on the night of March 24. A truck was running in that area out in front of my room. I called and spoke to someone at the front desk. She informed me she was with another customer and would handle it as soon as possible. At 9:40 I received a bang on my door, it was who I assume is the front desk person and the man that is driving the truck. I did not answer the door as I did not feel safe. I now hear the man say well the lights are out must be sleeping and they both walked away and the truck stayed running out front of my room all night long. I was not able to sleep due to the noise of the truck and I was now in fear. Why would she bring this man to my door? I should have called the authorities. I had to stay up all night and listen to that truck while I feared they knew where I was staying.

Property was shabby and ill maintained. The air conditioner in my room was stuck on and could not be adjusted. We ended up unplugging it rather than freeze. The blind was closed and we were unable to open it. There were pry marks all around the door lock. Walls were thin and the loud neighbors made it difficult to sleep.

Mikayla, the daytime manager, was very rude to us. Constantly, knocking on our door and trying to kick us out even though we had paid. We were overcharged for our 2nd week and double charged for our last day. The housekeepers and night-time staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The way we were treated by Mikayla was uncalled for as well as, the way she treats her staff is terrible. This has really upset me because I truly love the location. Something truly needs to be done about the daytime management. Mikayla was very nasty toward my fiancé who is disabled & Autistic. The owners and staff are amazing, but manager Mikayla has made our stay the worst we have ever experienced.

The owner or whoever was rude to my family because they didn’t service our room and yelled at my sister for asking for clean towels . The floor was absolutely dirty, our shoes are forever black now and our feet stayed the color black . The first time we checked in we given a room with no linens or anything . They forgot the rooms were being remodeled so they had to switch our room . Our key didn’t work and we had to go to the front and an Indian man yelled at us because our key didnt work . My recent stay at the Days Inn by Wyndham in Jacksonville, NC, was incredibly disappointing, despite the ongoing renovations. While I understand improvements are underway, significant issues with both management and the hotel's operational standards severely impacted my experience.
For starters, the pool was closed during my visit, reportedly due to failing inspections or other regulatory hurdles. This was a major letdown, as it's an advertised amenity I expected to use. Compounding this, loud partying outside rooms continued late into the night, making it nearly impossible to get any restful sleep.
The management team, particularly the owner, displayed highly unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. I personally witnessed instances of what I perceived as rude and potentially racist conduct from the owner. It also appeared that the hotel frequently fluctuated its prices without clear reason.
The way staff were treated was also concerning; they seemed to be subjected to excessive micromanagement and disrespectful behavior, which likely contributes to a negative working environment.
During my stay, my husband was publicly belittled in front of other guests and staff, which was completely unacceptable. Despite having stayed for two consecutive nights and attempting to extend for a third, I was abruptly told I couldn't prolong my stay and had to leave. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The front desk lady didn’t even know where the rooms were. She sent me to the wrong side of the motel and had to wonder for 20 min till I found it. The first room I got the cutters were broken off wall and nails on floor. Then changed rooms. The next room had roaches in it. The “breakfast” was slices of wonder bread in plastic bag no toaster no butter no jam just bread. Expired milk and orange juice. Toilet did not flush. Hair dryer did not work. You could hear every car drive by beep they made every n sound felt like it was in the room. There were cockroaches everywhere! Motel did not have soap and I was instructed to go to the hotel next door and ask them for amenities. I was charged twice for the room and did not get a full refund! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

This place is horrible. The owner screamed at me because i asked him why he charged a $50 fee on my credit card. I reserved a king bed they put me in a double bed without saying anything. The tv was broken so they moved me to a room that was already rented.. i was moved again to another room. The door handle was broken. The tub was clogged and full of water. There was black hair all over the bed sheets when i called to ask to be moved again the owner hung up on me. This place is beyond horrible

Stayed multiple nights. First night they never even made my bed or cleaned my room & I was out all day. When the person manning the front desk left to pick up her child, the persons left behind didn't know how to check guests w/ reservations in. My check-in took ~30 min. When my room key stopped working the maid manning the desk wasn't sure if she could leave the desk or if she had the right master key to let me in. I told her that I had worked a full day & someone had to find a way to let me into the room. The wi-fi code didn't work, so I gave up. The free breakfast was skimpy--I arrived at 6 am & no orange juice. Noisy--refrigerator truck outside my door ran all night. The next night a loud arguing couple came in at 1:30 am & left at 5:30 am--still loudly arguing. I would never stay here again!

The bathrooms, bed, and sinks were clean but the floors were terribly dirty. Filthy dirty. I had to wear socks the entire time because it was turning the bottoms of my feet black.

Room smelled of cigarettes even though I had a non-smoking room. The shower was nice and hot. Minimal towels or toiletries offered so bring your own. The bed was comfortable but made loud noises when I got into or out of it . There are metal bed skirts that rumble like thunder when you move around on the bed. Very annoying.

I did see several live roaches. No coffee maker but there is good coffee available in the office. Microwave worked fine and was clean. Television service was confusing and slow, but worked ok. Internet was patchy the whole week I was there.

The fridge in my room barely worked and my food went bad before the week was up. In fact, I left a whole night early (with no refund or money back!) because my dog's food in the fridge spoiled and I had to throw it out.

Front desk staff was friendly and courteous. Ice maker was located down the walkway in a secluded alleyway and although creepy to walk to, worked well. Very noisy area with lots of traffic and emergency vehicle sirens. It did quieten down around 10 pm.

Pet friendly but has a high pet rate and you have to stay in road-front rooms if you have pets. Overall the room served my needs and was comfortable for sleeping, but was too dirty and noisy for my preference.

The pool was NASTY. I think it had mosquito larva in it. I bought prewet wash clothes to wash down with to keep from using the towels.they smelled so bad. Bought the clorox floor wipes because we had dogs with us in case of accidents. The pad turned black when I wiped the floor. So I cleaned the as best as I could. There was beating & banging & yelling ALL night long. One of our dogs got extremely sick the week wek after got home. Can't prove it but he's never been sick before.. It was a really bad stay.

We ended our stay early and went back home to KY. I’m very disappointed and wished I would have just paid more to stay somewhere else that felt safe and comfortable.

Not as described, place wasn't clean no coffee or juice for breakfast only oatmeal and mini muffins...rooms need work and matress need to be changed please clean up your bathroom's

The facility is fine, with a clean, upgraded room, and the bed was comfortable. But the hotel is on a busy road, especially early in the morning and can be loud (especially if motorcycles are passing by).
