Stayed at Tropikist for a couple of nights and had a really great experience. The service was excellent from start to finish and every member of staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. I honestly couldn’t fault anything. I was lucky enough to get a lovely ocean facing room and the view was beautiful. Waking up and seeing the sea first thing in the morning was definitely a highlight. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel has a really nice laid back vibe and it is in a great spot for enjoying Tobago. Even though I only stayed a couple of nights it left a really positive impression and I would happily stay again. I would definitely recommend Tropikist to anyone visiting Tobago and the island itself is a fantastic place to visit.

I had a short stay at Tropikist, but I was genuinely impressed. The grounds, pool, and rooms were all beautifully maintained and felt well cared for. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay.

They also made everything seamless by organizing my airport transfers and local transportation, which I really appreciated.

My only feedback would be to improve the WiFi signal in the rooms. I had to step out onto the balcony to get a signal.

Overall, a lovely stay and I’d absolutely return.

There was no hot water in the hotel following a night out. I contacted the front desk after 2:00 a.m., but no assistance was available. I called again in the morning well before checkout, and a maintenance worker was sent. He inspected the issue, stated he would return, and never did. After another call to the front desk, they contacted a janitor who said he needed to obtain a part. Over an hour passed, and no one returned. We ultimately decided to check out. While the front desk acknowledged the repair issue, there was no recognition of the inconvenience caused to our stay or any effort made to address or remedy it. Room 38.

The room 46, was clean and spacious. Pool view. Comparable to the Days Inn in the U.S. in terms of quality, a lot of mold in the bathroom area. Maid service came everyday regardless if you put the tag on the door or not. Bring your own pool/beach towels. The outdoor area was nice. It would have been nice to receive service by the pool. The food options were limited, however I went out to get food. The hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk to Store Bay, 15 minute walk to more restaurants. Staff was friendly. My room was ready upon check in which was great after a long day of travel. The hotel tell is very close to the airport. WiFi is no good in the room. Overall, not a bad experience for my first time in Tobago, felt safe as a solo traveler.

Overall, our stay at Tropikist Beach Hotel & Resort was pleasant, with both positives and a few notable drawbacks.

The room itself was clean, and the bed and linens felt fresh and comfortable. We opted for the all-inclusive package, which included meals and drinks throughout the day and added good convenience to the stay.

The meals were acceptable but not standout, earning about a 6/10 overall. One issue during breakfast was the presence of birds in the dining area due to the open layout and location. Leaving food unattended often resulted in birds attempting to eat it, which felt unhygienic. Birds also perched above the seating area, which was not ideal. Another concern was one evening’s outdoor poolside dinner, where the seating was too close together and poorly lit, making the experience uncomfortable.

Regarding the room, there were a couple of issues. On one occasion, a room attendant attempted to enter despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign being displayed. The sign itself was old and torn, so it’s possible it may have flipped due to wind. Additionally, in the early morning hours around 3 a.m., large numbers of birds in nearby trees created significant noise that carried into the room and disrupted sleep.

That said, the staff were consistently courteous, friendly, and helpful, which made a positive difference overall. Despite the few inconveniences, we still found the stay enjoyable and appreciated the hospitality shown by the team.

My wife and I had the breakfast and dinner package and everything tasted amazing. The pool and lamdscaping areas were gorgeous. Our only issue was that the room and bathroom need to be updated. The shower we had was extremely tiny and narrow. There wasnt ventilation in the bathroom area either. The room did not have sufficient electrical outlets and had no usb ports. The room was extremely bright. Thankfully they sent someone to cover the window which made the brightness not so bad but you would think it is morning in the room even when it is nightime. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also dinner was too late (7:00 pm).

The staff were great and attentive. The location is nice. There was only one hiccup. I massaged the hotel a few days before my trip to set up airport transfer, as it shows on Expedia that they offer airport shuttle. When we arrived in Tobago, we looked around about 20-25 minutes for the airport shuttle but did not see anything from our hotel. When I called the hotel multiple times and the phone would ring but there was no answer. It seems to be a reoccurring theme in Trinidad & Tobago, as this happened in the city as well.

Stayed at the Tropikist Beach Hotel for two nights and really enjoyed the beach side view. The staff were very friendly, room was clean, and location is excellent. We didn't really enjoy the dinner menu at the hotel, and it was expensive for what you get, but the breakfast was good. The bar and pools are nice, and was nice to be on the beach and listen to the waves. I would definitely stay again, and would recommend it to others. I do wish the hotel would review their lineup of taxi drivers, and have better vehicles on call. We had a very old rusty van pick us up which was a bit concerning, but the taxi isn't part of the hotel.

This was my wife’s first time visiting Tobago, and she wasn’t quite sure what to expect; but this resort absolutely surpassed all possible expectations.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were phenomenal, friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. And while we didn't need anything, the manager would check in periodically throughout to ensure all was well (This meant a lot to us).

The room was comfortable and well-maintained. As long as you follow the simple instructions provided (like keeping the AC on and within the recommended range), there are no issues with condensation or humidity.

The food was fantastic! You can tell the resort adjusts meal options based on guest numbers. For example, sometimes offering a buffet and other times menu service; but the quality and flavors were consistently excellent.

In terms of location, it’s ideal. Pigeon Point is very accessible, a quick 5-minute taxi ride or a pleasant 30-minute walk back if you’re feeling up for it (Locals knew not to trouble tourists and were not pushy).

Overall, this resort is a hidden gem and a great alternative to the big-name hotels in the area. I honestly believe that within the next couple of years, it will become the go-to destination in Tobago for anyone looking for exceptional value without compromising on comfort or service.

I fully intend to return and make this my regular spot whenever I’m in Tobago. Highly recommended!

**Hospitality:**
From arrival to departure, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming—making the stay truly enjoyable.

**Accommodations and Dining:**
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Meals were generally good, with breakfast being the highlight. However, I missed the presence of local cuisine on the menu. The all-inclusive package, which includes two dinners, one lunch, and two breakfasts, may best suit heavier eaters, while a breakfast-only plan could be more economical for lighter diners.

**Overall:**

Overall, the Property and surrounding area the is well kept, the restaurant, food and staff was excellent.
I would have give 5 stars but we had problem getting the shower working, the bathroom sink is falling apart and soap scum on faucet.
also, the TV was stuck on a music channel.
I tried calling the front desk about 5 times but no one was picking up.
for the price I paid I was expecting my room to be in better condition

The check in process online with Expedia was misleading it would not allow you to add the appropriate amount of people to the rooms so there was $700 worth of extra fees. The hotel was really nice and the staff was great. The dinner food was terrible the chicken was burnt and did not taste good. The all inclusive is not worth it, since the check in and out time did not allow you to use the lunch service. I would recommend this hotel the staff was great and the property but make sure you book accordingly.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Tropikist. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff made us feel very welcome and were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We were also impressed with the wide variety of breakfast and dinner options available. One gesture we truly appreciated was the courtesy extended at check-out—although the official check-out time was 11:00 am, we were kindly allowed to use the pool facilities for an extra hour. It was a lovely touch that made our stay even more enjoyable!

Experienced my first case of racial profiling here. If you are of East Indian decent, prepare to be treated as a second class citizen. While the \"white\" guests are treated as royals, you, (even though you are paying the same prices) will be faced with an abrasive attitude and one word responses where they are don't even acknowledge your presence. Imaging being seated within 1 meter of the washroom in an empty dining room, not once, but twice! Is not like they aren't hospitable, its just they know WHO they chose to be hospitable too. Apparently this is a common situation that east Indians face here because most of the vendors in the surrounding area confirmed that this is a common thing that happens to the East Indian guests here. I definitely would not be returning here as I'd prefer go somewhere where my ethnicity is not a factor in the way I'm treated.

Although the flights to Tobago are at strange and inconvenient times, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant.

Second, our room faced the ocean, allowing us to enjoy the soothing sound of the waves. The view was fantastic; one unique aspect of Tobago is the abundance of birds. Tropikist features lush greenery, with trees teeming with thousands of birds, creating a symphony of beautiful sounds. The combination of the waves and the birds produced an unbelievably soothing soundtrack to our stay.

The food was delightful. It wasn't your typical all-inclusive salad bar; while the selection was more petite, everything was fresh and flavorful, including unique offerings like soups and homemade bread.

There were a few cabanas on the beach, where we spent some time. Although the beach was small, it was adequate. My wife didn't enjoy it much due to the waves, so we visited a public beach just a seven-minute walk away. There, we found shops and places renting chairs and beach umbrellas.

Overall, if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation, Tropikist is the perfect choice.
