When I checked into the hotel as we walked in, there was a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom with Hair on it. The bedsheets were not changed. There was also hair on them and there were roaches running across the walls. I will attach pictures.

The lady at the front desk was super nice. Our room was clean but it would been better if they didn’t have roaches.

We have been coming into town for the last 2 months due to a family member in Hospital and the staff at Candlewood couldn’t have been any better to us. Diana from the front desk helped get us moved from a king room to a double due to another family member coming in to say there goodbye’s to family member. We have been there 6 different times and always treated like family. I call it my HOME away from Home. I would recommend them to everyone I can. They also have Recliners in there room and that’s perfect cause I sleep in a recliner. The rooms are very clean and set up nicely. They have laundry room and parking was very easily accessible.
Thank y’all so much for Everything during these hard times. Diana I really appreciated all the kind help and kind words. THANK YOU!

The only complaint would be, where you turn left off of Broadway. You have to turn in through the opposite traffics' left turn lane.
Consider a rear entrance from the street behind.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Our room was spotless and the bed was super comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring the city.\"

Really impressed

As soon as you walk in the place smells amazing and clean staff at the front was very courteous and helpful quick check in he also helped me with a beach recommendation to which my family and I went and it was in fact as he mentioned room was spacious and had all you need to enjoy your stay fridge microwave plates cups you name it my wife and I also forgot our shampoo and believe me they had it all including bodywash and conditioner right on the shoer so we were set. Will definitely book this hotel again and hope all the candlewood hotels are like this around the world because I will book everywhere I go.

The room was nice, however our room had a odor and had to ask for an air freshener. No swimming pool, no breakfast, the gas grills looked like they hadn't been clean i a long time. Not recommended for a weekend stay with children.

Property is in a good location. Not too far from Corpus Christi (there’s ongoing construction). Ten minutes over and back from North Beach. Major retails stores and restaurants nearby and all close by 10 pm. Rooms come with kitchenettes so no breakfast provided. Attentive staff, clean rooms, washer & dryer machines free to use (need updating), well lit parking, mini store, free ice. Satisfied with stay and would book again.

Hotel was ok, but for fairly new property quality of construction and finishing not so great. I’d be concerned if I was property owner. We had a couple loose tiles on floor of bathroom

Surprised the hotel didn’t have a breakfast. Same category and price of many hotels that include a breakfast. Front desk person said it’s because room has kitchenette. Room was good size with separate sitting area which was one thing I look for when booking.

Given other options in exact location—hotel area—I probably wouldn’t stay there again

Right at home.

I really enjoyed it staff was so friendly. I felt right at home. We were greeted in and out. But, the only thing I disliked was that there is no breakfast. I would of give them 5 stars.

cleanliness could be improved

Diane, the Receptionist at check-in is FABULOUS!!!

The cleanliness of the room was NOT as expected. There was a bottom part of pajamas under the recliner in the room and there was some dirt on floors. For a Hotel as nice as Candlewood Suites, the cleanliness was a disappointment.

Nice property, but poor experience

Great property and great location, but we were woken up on a Sunday morning by a company hired to power wash the exterior of the hotel. The hotel seemed at about 50% occupancy and the crew had been working since at least Saturday when we arrived. We were unable to open our blinds since the crew was outside our window on a bucket-lift. Then after checking out, one of the workers parked so close to my truck that I had to crawl through the passenger side to the driver’s seat to pull out. The parking lot had tons of spaces, but they either chose to block me in or chose to not move their car when spaces opened up. I stood there for a couple minutes looking at the workers giving them a chance to move, but they didn’t—they just stared to see how I was going to get out of my parking space.

Unfortunate experience, but it affected my stay. I would think it would be best to schedule power washing that allows them to look inside the windows and run power generators—have them work during the week when there is less weekend hotel guests.
