Good enough sitting room but bathrooms require immediate renovations. Replace all towels immediately too.

The rooms are dated. Sitting room is spacious and had all necessary furnishings and appliances. It was relatively clean. I loved the view out of the windows across the university to Westlands. Fresh air through the windows was great too - even though this could be a safety hazard. The bar downstairs had some really good and well mixed cocktails.

The bathroom was horrible. Really old. Tile grout dirty and stained. Bathroom was tiny. Shower curtain dirty. The shower, sink and bathroom trims old and not pleasant to the eye. Kindly modernize and renovate all the bathrooms. The towels also need to be replaced immediately. They are not white! and scary to use.

The corridors and the lobby downstairs are kind of dark. Please brighten those rooms for better ambience. Thank you.

I enjoyed my stay at Nairobi Safari Club. The staff were friendly especially Abby. I had a breakfast issue bcoz I made my booking online but she handled that issue professionally. The only downside is that the hotel needs an upgrade. The Rooms and bathrooms can use a facelift and the towels are too old and worn. For that caliber of a hotel, newer towels is a small price to pay. I look forward to going back there in a near future.

Half the plugs in the room didn’t work, lighting in the room after dark was not great but just was not clean at all and bathroom was falling apart. As soon as you left the property we surrounded by people begging for money and grabbing on you. Pictures look way better than what you get. $50 a night hotel at most.

we found a roach. the hotel looks better in the pictures, we actually checked out and went to the ibis. our bags were delayed but was sent to the hotel, they stayed there for almost 2 weeks before they were sent to us, all our electronics were stolen from our suitcases.

Decent hotel for the price, good location, friendly staff that will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Condition of the hotel is a little disappointing though. Rooms feel run down. Pool area is nice. Breakfast buffet is overpriced at $30 per person. Overall just about OK

I recently stayed at the hotel this October. I emailed ahead of time reconfirming my need for a shuttle hotel driver to pick me up at the airport at 12:20 AM however when I arrived there was no driver after waiting about 30 minutes the hotel receptionist asked a cab driver already at the airport to drive me. When I arrived at the property I was given a room key by a very friendly receptionist named Violet however when the gentleman escorting me open the hotel room door a voice from darkness asked who is this? The gentleman assisting me immediately apologized went back downstairs for another key but it was not for a balcony room so we had to change the key the third time. I was comfortable in the room, nice balcony but throughout my stay the Wi-Fi was very spotty the last night I was there there was no Wi-Fi all the way into the next day 3 pm. They had the IT tech working on it but I was also trying to download my test results documents to take to the airpot. Micah was exemplary in his service and accommodating. I give him five stars he helped to make my stay more enjoyable. I’m not sure if I will return to this hotel. I am a female who traveled alone from the US and having a driver available upon my arrival was crucial for me. However things did work out for there are generally kinks in travel. A doctor came to administer my PCR test for $80 in my rm which was great! I had a very positive experience in Nairobi Kenya and would visit this country again. Thanks NSC staff.

Good All Suite Hotel in Central Nairobi

Good hotel with all the basic facilities e.g Spa, Swimming Pool, Bar, Restaurant, Beauty Saloon etc. Good Wifi throughout the hotel. Most importantly the room suite n its bathroom is spacious. Rooms are generally quiet. However, it is an old hotel with good infrastructure which cud do with total upgrading and refurbishment.

It is always a pleasure to return to the Nairobi Safari Club. Yes the rooms are dated, the furnishings need a lot of TLC. BUT this is a hotel that looks like a hotel inside unlike most of the prepackaged chain horrors.. The staff are the politest kindest I have met in nearly 60 years of travel, nothing is too much for them. They are happy to see you come and on leaving hope you will return.

No hot water in the room was inexcusable. Called desk at night and again in the morning. Was not fixed. Also, only bfast option was buffet, at $30 US each. They did reduce the charge to only $25...We were advised the night before but thought they said $13. Live and learn i guess.

Our stay here was great. The staff were friendly and kind, and made special accommodation for us to check in outside the normal time frame. The hotel is very nice with great, well-equipped rooms.
We also used room service to order dinner during our stay here and the restaurant was great too.

This hotel needs to undergo renovation as the rooms are dated, not sound proof. Bathrooms need urgent attention. I'm not sure how the hotel continues to charge premium for not so much comfort.

A wonderful stay in a great hotel. Spacious rooms but they are tired and need renovation. Staff superb.Right on the edge of the CBD, by a busy road but well soundproofed. Staff were pleased you came and sorry you left. Recommended.

Rooms are a bit worn (guess nothing has been done since the 80s) but my room was massive!

The hotel is run down and a lot of the emenities are poor. Breakfast was ok... rooms were horrible. Beds have mattresses that are thin and you can feel the springs, towels are not soft, almost scratching the body and are not clean, carpets are filthy, the rooms are dusty. Need I say more?

The room was filthy when I checked in - the carpet in the bedroom needed vaccuming, the bathroom had hair all over the place, the balcony had not been cleaned or dusted in what looked like days. On the second and third day I had to content with not having enough towels in the bathroom - even after having raised my disatisfaction with the quality of housekeeping at the front desk. By the last night I was not even given shower gel for the bathroom.

The food is average, nothing to write home about. Service at breakfast needs to be uped a notch - it takes forever to get a cup of coffee because there is simply not enough staff on the floor. On the first night of my stay, I had return the drumsticks I was served in the bar because they were cold.

In general, I did not enjoy my stay at the Nairobi Safari Club. I doubt I will be coming back.

It is true what other viewers said, this Hotel needs a serious deep cleaning service. Maintenance is definitely lacking and the towels are all washed out. Two towels were so thin it actually torn when used to dry after the shower. It is a bath shower with no anti slip mat. The water pressure was good, just the shower head needs cleaning as it sprays in all directions. The furniture are old but it suits the room. The TV remote did not work properly and I gave up on reporting this the third and last night of my stay. Front-desk every time say they will send someone, well needless to say that someone never pitched. This is not a 4 star hotel anymore, its more like a 2.5 or 3 star. The hotel taxi service was good but way over priced. Normal taxi or Uber is a third of the hotel's taxi fee. The food in the restaurant is pretty average and no complaints. The staff are all very friendly and the location of the Hotel right next to a noisy street but close to the CBD.

Old, tired and needs makeover

This hotel definitely does NOT have its glory of the 80s and 90s. It's old, tired and desperately needs a makeover. The furniture, bedding, lighting and decor is outdated and does not match today's trends. In the bathroom, for example, the hot water faucet did not work properly, the water pressure and flow was very low. The door handle to my room was weak and looks like it was recently fixed.

Besides the old fashioned look and the lack of esthetic appeal, the hotel staff is pleasant and welcoming.

Very Comfortable Hotel in the centre of the city

The rooms were comfortable, with good facilities. Wonderful that all rooms are in fact suites, and I particularly like the older, elegant furniture, full of taste and character. Great views over Nairobi too from many rooms.
Great choice at the Buffet breakfast, and Restaurant also serves a reasonable choice of dishes

Smells like raid, so out of date it's funny. No bed in my executive suite, just a very uncomfortable king sized box spring with nice sheets.

The staff was great as was the location. They have an annexed restaurant around the corner and the food was excellent. Doubt that I'll stay there again but if you need a place to stay for cheap in Nairobi, this will do

Has a business trip with conference in hotel. All went smoothly and very serviceable staff. Have zero complaints. This is an older hotel, so don't expect a gleaming modern hotel and then rate them poorly. I very much appreciated the suite room layout as we held meetings in peoples rooms too.

The Safari Club Hotel's convenient location to downtown Nairobi is a big plus. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful and attentive.
Many times when one is in transit you only want a clean comfortable bed for a few hours at a reasonable price. It has a nice pool area and the Terrace. Room ISA comfortable place to meet friends for a drink or a light snack. The Safari Club met my expectations and I would certainly stay there on a return visit.

This is a fine place to stay for night. Safari companies pick up from here. It was clean, only problem was not able to turn the heat off, so slept with the window open. Too tired to call for assistance, so it was not that they did not respond, just easier to open the window. Breakfast was too expensive for us, and there isn't really anything close enough to see when you walk a block or so. Safari guide stopped on way out.

The hotel was old and dated, but it was functional. The staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant to deal with. The food was slow coming from the restaurant and the room could have been cleaner. The cabs we ordered from the hotel were very clean and new and charged the going rates. The bed was hard as a rock. The TV, Safe and Wifi worked perfectly.
