I enjoyed my stay at Motel 6 Costa Mesa. Víctor at the front desk was friendly as I checked in. I didn’t have any issues while I was there. The room I stayed in smelled like smoke somewhat, so that was a bummer, but it wasn’t horrible. The room was clean, especially the bed and shower which I was very grateful for. There is not much as far as amenities go, but you get what you pay for. Overall it was a good stay.

Rim smelled like a gallon of chlorine was silted down the bathtub but the floors were dirty. Tv did not work and has a pop up to join motel 6 screen blocking the screen. When i asked for grill from the front he said he was leaving. No one there over night. He said have you started here before, i said no and won’t stay here again and he said good. This is hospitality when you want your TV in your room to work??? I do not recommend this place. My room was considered Delux because it has a mini fridge. Which on this app fridge AND microwave are very standard!

Between the shower head falling off and hitting my head, the junkies and meth head hanging out in front of their car and talking loud and yelling at each other until late into the night, being woken up around 3am to a homeless guy taking everything out of the garbage right next to my door and window, We checked out a day early. And unfortunately I have to make an appointment with a skin Dr on Monday because I now have some strange blisters on my lower legs that where not there before my stay at the hotel. So, no I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The rooms are supposed to be non smoking but mine smelled if someone had been chain smoking in there moments before I walked in. Roaches everywhere. The room was in good condition and the staff was nice. I was put in the room upstairs farthest away from the lobby and the WiFi was very spotty. And whatever service you use for overnight support in the lobby is not good. It was a woman who didn’t seem to speak English because when I asked them for help they took off their headphones and just stared at me and another woman leaned in from off screen and appeared to take a picture of me. Very strange experience when all I was looking for was the WiFi password.

I wanted to bring to your attention about a very unfortunate experience at the Motel 6 location off the 405 freeway in Costa Mesa, CA. I paid $120 for room 114. The person who was taking care of our reservation was rude and did nothing to care of resolving an issue with an air conditioning unit that was not working properly. The way handled it was to offer a full refund for the room. He had intention of resolving the issue and said there was nothing he can do. G

My room was clean and comfortable. I had a refrigerator in my room but I would have liked a microwave too. The only noise was from Costa Mesa Police Department. They were arresting a woman in the room next door to me...don't know what that was about. I will stay at this Motel 6 in the future.

Someone hacked into my Expedia account, booked this hotel “Motel 6 Costa Mesa” through my account and used all of my Expedia points to pay for the hotel. I contacted Experia and the hotel. Both were fantastic helping me resolve this. The Costa Mesa Police were contacted and hopefully they arrested a “Beth Naill” who used my Expedia account to stay at this hotel.

There was no staff physically and the one that was there spoke to me in a rude manner telling me i needed to deal with the virtual person. He also reported he was off the clock and that he was not there nor did he see me. It was hard to understand the person virtually, hard to to check in. Well the room was nice with upgrades but that was it. The room above me was moving furniture and tables, stomping hard on the floor could not get any sleep in that room maybe hour at most, And being that my line of work as code enforcement officer that room needs pest control multiplied Cockroaches on the floor on the headboard and crawling on the floor. For being in Costa Mesa I was Expecting a little more. I reported this to night staff on check out on 10/5/25. Would not stay hear again. May reach out to Motel 6 corporate!

This property was an Absolutely disgusting property in all areas and infested with roaches and nasty blood marks were found in BOTH of my rooms after requesting a room change. I had to be moved to 3 separate rooms. Then when im walking down the stairs some random homeless guy asks me where to find weed at. This is a Disrespectful, disgraceful, disgusting property and if you have any standards - follow my review and steer clear of this property by all means. Oh and the virtual check in was so unprofessional and annoying, they laughed at me for coming back for a problem their clients company needs to fix.That third party company is not an addition to the hotel it actually makes it feel cheaper and like management is cutting corners to avoid having an employee there for safety and concerns throughout the night.

The man at the front desk was exceptional with us. We checked into a room and it smelled a lot like smoke. He quickly put us into a different room. The room itself was beautiful. Recently remodeled, I almost forgot I was at a motel 6. Great place, would stay again for sure. Also a very great location. Restaurants/gas stations within walking distance. 15 min drive from Newport Beach.

The room was clean, but everything felt worn and outdated. The check-in process was frustrating—you’re connected to an employee on a computer screen who doesn’t speak any English, which made communication impossible. The bed was honestly one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. To top it off, the property was noisy and hard to relax in. I would only consider staying here again as a last resort.

The place is dirty and sketchy, but the reason we would NEVER stay again is the horrific service. No one is in the lobby, it is locked, and there is no sign or call button. If you need anything, you will need to wait indefinitely. When I tried to locate the management, I was accused of harassment and they tried to kick us out of the hotel, with 2 children, at night. I called the police and they spoke to the management to allow us to stay. But absolutely never again. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at.
