We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Irvine/Orange County Airport and overall had a really good experience. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything about the stay was smooth and comfortable.

The only negative was that I actually got a small cut while using the bathtub, which was unexpected and a little concerning. It might be worth checking the tub edges or surface to make sure they’re completely smooth and safe for guests.

Other than that, everything else about the stay was great, and we enjoyed our time there.

The staff was very courteous, rooms cleaned every day, however there was no sign indicating parking was charged at $30 per day when I cked in and only noticed when I parked the rental car, as well I was in the hotel for 5 days, had the car for 3 and was not advised I needed to turn in the parking ticket when I cked out so I had to pay $30 for a day I did not park and was advised nothing can be done. There's a $30 overnight parking that I was not informed in advance. If I had known that parking will be charged and so pricy, I would not have booked this hotel room at all. The front desk receptionist was also very cold mannered and condescending. With an overnight parking fee, I think the hotel room is overpriced for their mediocre service.

The room was good quality. I was disappointed that breakfast was not complimentary considering the price of the hotel stay itself. They seriously wanted to charge money for bananas and oranges for breakfast when we're spending $150+ per night. Not to mention their hotel restaurant's meals were expensive and cocktails were $18+. If you're looking to be cost effective, I wouldn't recommend here but the quality of the bedroom was decent, just not worth it in the future for the high cost. I will not be staying here for the weekend.

I have stayed here multiple times for work. Hotel is in a safe, relatively quiet area (even near John Wayne Airport - you don't hear the planes). Breakfast is the standard buffet style, some healthy options. Location is top tier, as we have clients in the area it's convenient to get around anywhere. Staff are amazing - from check-in, to dining, they always are polite & friendly. Will definitely be back again!

Despite the sleek and new lobby and exterior, our room had many issues and was outdated. The water in the back of the toilet was not refilling after flushing, so we had to manually reset it every time. Our TV also broke midway through our stay; the mechanic was unable to fix it.

Overall, while the hotel looks presentable, there’s a lot of things that need updating.

The view from my room was awful, but I wasn't there to look out the window. The view was of a neighboring property with a large Waste Management dumpster, with an abandoned suitcase outside the dumpster. I don't like the fact that I had to pay $35/day to park. This hotel was convenient for what I was doing. It is close to John Wayne Airport and not far from South Coast Plaza. I did not go to the restaurant on site. I like a free breakfast, but it was not included at this hotel.

Small and clean but NOT soundproof

A clean and small 3 star hotel. Staff was friendly, room was small, but clean. There was plenty of mostly covered parking and the rooms had microwave and fridge which were appreciated.. However this is NOT a soundproof hotel at all. The loud closing doors from the hallway at 5am were not welcome at all. Also there was a man snoring loudly 1-2 doors down starting at midnight. It was quite distracting while trying to fall asleep.

The location is fine for the price, but there are several other nearby options.

Front desk called my room and 11:45pm multiple times on an assumption because a visitor with my last name arrived, that WASN’T for me.
Also parking per day is ridiculous at $30/day.
In the 1st room the restroom fan was abnormally loud, resulting in switching rooms. Then the shower curtain was ripped & missing a hardware piece plus the towels had holes.

It was a nice stay, except 1 elevator was down while we were there which made it hard to get up to our room. Location was good for me visiting UCI every day.
