Check-in was smooth, but our room key didn’t work when we reached the room. Maintenance tried to fix it while we waited inside, but after nearly an hour — and two follow-ups with the front desk — it still wasn’t resolved. With no clear communication on timing, we had to return to reception to request a new room. Manager Hardy handled the situation professionally, upgrading us and offering 10% off dinner, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, dinner didn’t live up to expectations. It was marketed as a Japanese Emperor-themed experience and looked beautiful, but the food was average. Our snapper arrived undercooked, and although it was remade, it affected the overall experience. To make matters worse, water started dripping from the ceiling onto our table, forcing us to move.
While the hotel itself is beautiful, the repeated disappointments — including an underwhelming breakfast each day — made the overall stay frustrating, and we’re unlikely to return.
Unfortunately, dinner didn’t live up to expectations. It was marketed as a Japanese Emperor-themed experience and looked beautiful, but the food was average. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and the hotel certainly lives up to many aspects of a 5-star experience. The facilities are beautiful, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the amenities were excellent for families.
However, there were a couple of disappointing issues that are important to mention. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the kids’ club was not up to the standard we would expect from a luxury hotel. Shortly after attending, my daughter contracted hand, foot and mouth disease, which was extremely upsetting and impacted the remainder of our holiday. Greater hygiene measures and monitoring in this area would be strongly recommended.
Additionally, the noise level in the bedrooms from outside areas was quite noticeable, particularly at night, which made it difficult to rest comfortably. Improved soundproofing would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Despite these concerns, we did enjoy many aspects of our stay and hope the hotel addresses these issues, as it has the potential to be truly exceptional.

Hotel design is gorgeous! Staff is super nice, rooms are large and food is excellent! The hotel is very, very big! It caters especially to families with little kids as it provides nannies, playgrounds and pool activities for kids. There is an absolute lack of communication at the front desk/reception/reservations. We had back to back reservations which took them a while to find even though that I was in communication with the hotel via email prior to our arrival, where they confirmed that. Also made airport transfer arrangements through he hotel prior to arrival which they couldn’t find upon check in, took a picture of my emails for their reference and the day prior to check out they were surprised again with the airport transfer.

The hotel’s architecture is grand and impressive, and all the facilities are very well maintained. The pool has a romantic and charming atmosphere. Each restaurant has its own character, and the food is delicious. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and the bedding is very comfortable. We stayed for one night in the suite with a pool and let me tell you I wish I would’ve stayed here longer. Staff were so sweet and helpful. Area has development around noise all day next door hotel being built. Can hear noise in corridor in morning and night not peaceful. Breakfast was good but too busy, on last day waited 45mins for eggs and order came cold. We stayed at Jumeriah Bali as well this was a true 5* so if you plan to relax and do nothing this is perfect location with brilliant service. Apurva the pictures and structure is good but don’t let that mislead you to booking a lot of other better hotels. You feel like a number at this hotel not personalised at all.

What an amazing resort! This was the most visually stunning resort we’ve ever seen. And we have been to many. Amazing food quality, and extremely helpful, friendly staff. Balinese hospitality at its fullest. From the underwater restaurant, to the pools and beach club, that had a DJ every afternoon till night time. It’s a very large resort with many guests, including those that come for the day, or to the restaurants. Special shout out the staff at the Reef club and restaurant.
