Small things that let it down were air conditioning not working, remote for living room TV was broken with batteries exposed and the unit wasn’t very clean we kept finding hair both animal and human, crunched up corn chips around floor near the couch as well as ants, decorative pillows and throws needed washing.

The bungalow was beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. The pool area was fantastic, easy access to the beach, everything was immaculately clean, and the whole property felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained.
We also had dinner there and ordered the steak, it was absolutely delicious, which made the experience even more special.
From the views to the comfort to the atmosphere, everything was perfect. This is a truly special place and we can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly recommended.

The bungalows are beautiful overlooking a lagoon and then onto towards the ocean. You can hear the sound of the waves at night. Very nice rooms although the chairs weren’t exactly comfortable. Lovely walk down onto the beach. The fountains can be a little noisy at the front but needed to keep mosquitoes away and they don’t go all the time anyway. would definitely stay again

The place was lovely, we had a view of the sea from our bungalow and it's a great location for exploring the area. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was great in the bar. My only complaint was the movement sensor lights at night. They were so bright every time someone walked past it lit up the room. Some low level lighting would have been better. The outdoor furniture could use some new cushions too. And although it mentions a kitchenette, it's really just a fridge and tea/coffee. Luckily we had some camping crockery and cutlery in the car! But overall a great stay, we will definitely be back.

My bungalow was beautiful. Only problem was that I was the unlucky one who got Bungalow 1 assigned. That one is next to the bar/restaurant, so bit noisy until curfew. Plus everyone from the other bungalows had to use the gate next to mine to get to the bar & some people from the accommodation behind used that gate to get to the beach. So more noise and less privacy.
If you exclude this, my stay was amazing. Underneath parking, beautiful bungalow and just a few steps away from the beach. Nice cafe up the road (Boffee Cafe) for breakfast as well as an IGA. So everything walkable for a lacy long weekend

Location was very good comfortable bed the cleaning could be better hairs found on towels not had a hoover. Bring your own shower gel etc. reception staff very nice but when request had to go further the manager was nonchalant. As no breakfast is offered then perhaps a toaster could be given not just a kettle. Lots of trip hazards on decking.

The Caves Coastal Bar and Bungalows is a world-class, topnotch and perfect beachfront holiday accommodation suited for families, couples and groups. The property is located only a stone’s throw away from Hams Beach and a short relaxing coastal walk to Caves Beach where the beachside caves are beautifully carved on the cliffs by the sea. We stayed in a bungalow, and we had two units adjacent to each other for use by my daughter and her husband. We all had a comfortable and relaxing stay. We needed peace and quiet with the sound of ocean waves ringing in our ears, and we got what we wished for. The king bed was large and conducive to a good night sleep and the room amenities were superb. The bathroom and restroom have been designed separately, and an on-top-of-the-floor deep-soaking bath tub that could fit two adults is perched in the middle. It was a luxury to have these toilet amenities for a rest-and-relax holiday, or even for a one-day overnight staycation. The reception staff, maintenance personnel and room attendants are warm, friendly and reflective of the laidback Australian hospitality that I love and revere so much. The bistro food menu is equally reflective of the simple and straightforward Aussie tastebuds and palate. If the beach is your feel for a much-needed holiday, the Caves Coastal is the place to be!

It was also really loud when others would return to their bungalows - the gates do not have soft close on them and slam shut waking us up at all hours.

This is a beautiful unit, & very well stocked except for the fact that it didn't have any kitchen towels or potholders (oven mitts). We asked for a quiet location & they put us in this unit, RIGHT next to the restaurant/bar. It was unbelievably noisy. We couldn't even sit on our own deck & enjoy the view (which wasn't as good as advertised-much further from the water than the pictures showed). The partying lasted until 11 PM both nights & my bedroom wall was vibrating with the boom, boom, boom of the music. I would have given this unit a 5 if it would have been quieter & closer to the water, but the noise RUINED our stay there.

Unfortunately our car got broken into overnight in the hotel parking which put a big dampener on our stay. Staff were helpful on the day, however, after we have been dealing with ongoing issues from the break in at their property for months I emailed them with no response 😢

Open bathroom is starting to age with noisy ceiling fans, sticky rusted stoppers and mold on the mirror frames behind each sink. We did, but it was further back and we could really see more villas in front of us with small glances of the ocean. So that’s why I gave it a 3. Great spot for a weekend away. The winter sun warmed up the room in the morning and sitting on the deck was lovely. The staff were exceptionally good with their service and generosity. We enjoyed Sunday lunch with family and friends and wished we’d stayed another night.

Really disappointed in our stay recently. The photos of the property looked beautiful and we were let down from the beginning.
Upon entry to the room we found a cockroach on the ground and the looking around the room we found a massive white tip spider and other spider nests.
Curtains and shutters were moldy and unclean.
We were offered another room (16) and were swarmed by bugs lingering around outside of room.
We chose to keep current room (10) and asked if they could removed spider, which they did.
The staff were very nice and understanding.
After settling in we started to notice more things that were very unclean but our biggest complaint was the carpet, I think it is 2 years past due for a deep clean.
We went out to dinner at the restaurant onsite.
Beef Nachos were amazing
Tacos were small and disappointing
Scotch fillet steak medium rare was chewy and difficult to cut.
Applied pie dessert was tasty.
Walking back to the room proved very difficult with no actual lights lighting up. We had to resort to our phone lights trying not to trip.
Overall very disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of the room. Especially being this is a 4 star hotel and costs over $350 a night.
