Reception took a long time to answer our requests. Office not open when advertised. Mould on curtains. Bedding clean. Checking out was not easy. Was charged for an extra person when I booked in as 2 adults and 4 children.
Would not recommend, as was not cheap.

Clean, quiet, friendly atmosphere. Bathroom was clean and water was lovely and hot. The kitchenette was nice for people staying more than just overnight. We loved the dishwashing liquid, tea towel and washing up sponge. The little cupboard with cutlery and plates etc was so cute and useful. There was a lovely extra blanket, an iron etc. pillows were a bit flat, but I’ll just bring my own next time. 🙂

It was very unpleasant stay. I got woken up with water dripping from the AC unit onto my head. The kitchen was flooded with water dripping from rusted end of fridge. The spa bath (that makes the room more expensive) wasn’t working either.

We are a family of 5, so the bed set up was perfect, kids thought it was quite a novelty having all the beds in one room. Staff were nice. It could have done with a simple wire clothes hanger to hang out bathers/ towels. Bathroom floor could have done with a slightly better clean as hairs were present. Lovely location, about 25mins from Merewether beach and Newcastle 5mins more. We enjoyed dinner at the local RSL. For the one night it ticked most boxes for us

What we didn't like was the smoke alarm wasn't working in the unit and was told it would be fixed the next day and it wasn't. No hot water for the shower. No sink in the kitchen had to use basin in the bathroom

The queen bed moved all the time. Almost fell on my back whilst watching TV.
There was rubbish under the bed, so it obviously had not been cleaned.
There was no sink in the kitchenette, so had to fill kettle and wash up in bathroom sink.

It’s a very basic Hotel. Yes there are some letdowns and parking is a problem but it’s well priced and midway between Belmont and Swansea and it’s always clean. I’ve been here about half a dozen times on fishing trips and have no problem with it.

Room was near the highway and very loud. Room was separated by internal door and the neighbours rattled that door at 11 pm waking me up (as a single female traveller this was terrifying). The neighbours then proceed to talk loudly which sounded like they were in the room due to zero sound proofing. Not close to restaurants/ grocery stores and view is of a wall. Very expensive for a motel and would not recommend.

On arrival our room stuck of 2 minute noodles. The double mattress was 100 years old, incomfortable and you could feel the springs poking through. At 5.30 on Sunday morning, someone began rattling bottles in the kitchen or hallway and around half hour later doors and keys were being opened and closed all up and down the hallway. Definitley not somewhere you’d expect to pay $180 per night.

Our room was not clean. We had two beds, the king bed pillows and top of bed was covered in dust so we could not sleep in it.
The coffee mugs in the cupboard were still dirty, coffee all down the sides of the cups.
We could write our name in the dust on our bedside table and alarm clock.
Very disappointing for our one night away.
I would expect this from a $100 per night motel !!

Kitchenette provided crockery and cutlery but watered-down detergent, half a tea towel and half a chux wipe. This was billed as ‘Deluxe’….not even close. But it was quiet.

No one was there to check us in I called the phone number on the door & nobody answered. I also rang the buzzer numerous times with no luck .

Only there for two nights, but each night had extremely noisy neighbour in next room (drunk, playing loud music on first night, then yelling and moaning and coughing as though dying the second night) - kept me awake for hours. Room was separated from next by a locked internal door and sounds just blasted through into my room. Also, one of the columns supporting the roof outside must have been previously knocked down by a car parking outside as there was a temporary scaffolding pillar in its place. The location was also noisy as my room was closest to the main highway and the parking was difficult - very cramped. The 'lake view' was not apparent as the only window in my room faced the wall of the property next door. Looked like there was a 'pool' in some state of construction or renovation and not accessible.

Locate just on Pacific Hwy. Has entry on both front and back. A good place to stop over in Newcastle/centre coast area. Very close to restaurants and shops. 5 mins drive to the beach.
Check-in and out were easy. Staffs were very helpful and friendly. The room is clean and in good condition as you expected for an inn.

I don't have much to say as it was just an overnight stay. You get what you pay which is a simple room with the basic essentials (bed, shower and onsite parking). The only negative from the stay was the onsite parking was a bit troublesome if someone doesn't park in their spot correctly.

Dusty blankets, stained sheets, small entrance to showers not accessible for larger people in room number 12 . My brothers room number 10 had mould on bathroom roof and inside the air con. Very cold at night time and was not able to use the aircon to warm up as mould was inside aircon. We wanted to leave but had no where else to go so had no choice other then to stay over night . When we went to check out it was past 9 am and the office was not opened we rang bell but no one answered.
Has definitely gone down hill as i stayed here previously in October or November and the experience was not like this. I was happy to book again until i experienced it this time around. I do not recommend to stay here.

The staff, from check in to the cleaners were all super friendly - The only issue [in my case at least] was that unless you drive a small or medium sized vehicle your going to find parking a tad inconvenient - It's about a 6 point turn around, or a reverse all the way out to the highway, and also [in my case], I parked out on the highway twice as the spaces were taken, or just too small for my 4 wheel drive to get into - other than that, it was a good 5 day stay for me

Sraff friendly. Right opposite the lake. BBQ area at the lake front. No fly screens on the windows so couldn't leave the windows open. Aircon unit in a bad position, it points directly at your head while sleeping. I would of preferred to be able to open the windows
