Room really clean, housekeeping staff do a great job. Pool lovely, well kept. Issue with renovations in room above us that nobody told us about it at check in, d/w reception, apologies made, compensation given, just not what we'd expect, especially given good service on numerous previous visits. Coffee machine desperately needed at breakfast. You can buy barista coffee but most buffets of that price point would at least include a machine to make coffee rather than filter coffee. Emerald Gardens great Chinese restaurant, really enjoyed it.

We enjoyed our stay at The Executive Inn. Lovely breakfast buffet, great outdoor spa and the pool curfew of 9pm was enforced meaning that it was quiet at night time. Rooms are individually air-conditioned and the staff are friendly. We were needing to go to John Hunter Hospital which was a short bus trip away or a 20 minute walk (all downhill on the way back!) There's a small shopping village very close by.

The room hadn't been properly serviced. There was an open carton of milk left in the fridge and the floor was not vacuumed properly and there were no facewashers. We found a lovely staff lady named Liz who supplied a sealed carton of milk and facewasher with a sincere apology.

The reception staff seemed slightly rude when I requested towels for the pool, which I was told should have already been in the room (they weren't).
Slightly confused, I asked if I was expected to use the bath towels for the pool as there were no separate pool towels in the room. The staff member then went to retrieve 2 bath towels and after requesting 2 more (there were 4 of us) I thought I received a slightly petulant look.

The room was clean but the toilet had a bad smell of urine and one of the light bulbs didn't work. The staff members were nice and helpful. When we complained to reception, they made a note and had the light fixed immediately. They also gave us air freshener that we can spray the toilet. When the cleaner came the next day, the smell disappeared but it would occasionally come back during our 4-night stay and we couldn't figure out where it was coming from because we flushed the toilet every time.But otherwise, we like this hotel, liked that it was connected to the club so food was no problem and the pool area is beautiful. The breakfast buffet was also good and loved the view of the pool area from there. Will definitely consider staying here again.

The room was disguisting. Marks on the wall and the ceilings the toilet door opened into the toilet. The windows were dirty and spiders in the room. We didnt have a lift near our room as it was broken and even though i mentioned to reception on arrival i have a sebaticious cyst in my knee and cant walk far they refused to reallocate my room. We had to walk about 300 metres to the other side of the resort to get to our room. The pool was nice. Spa too small for the amount of people that were there. Gym was unavailable also. Room service only at a certain time. Coffee and tea free in the room but if you wanted some or a brewed one from reception you had to pay for it. I wouldnt recommend staying there it looks pretty but 1 lift from reception is beyond me. The good part attached to the leagues club and a variety of food options which was great. The hotel needs work

The aircon in the room did not get cold, we rang reception and were told she wasn’t even sure how the aircon worked so could not help us.
The fridge in the room did not work at all.
The wifi was not strong enough to stream a movie.
Housekeeping opened the door without knocking whilst there was a do not disturb sign on the door and then put a note under the door saying they noticed the do not disturb sign.

Stayed 2 weeks in reasonable comfort.

Room service food options are limited - everything is walking distance so do that instead.

A big tick to the reception and housekeeping staff, who are always welcoming and helpful and so good at the jobs they do. We could not have been looked after better,

There are several room types to choose from. This time we chose a pool view balcony which was quiet, spacious and comfortably furnished. It had a frig, safe, an electric kettle, generous supplies of coffee, tea, etc, cups and glasses but no plates, eating utensils or microwave.

Reception operates 24/7. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast at extra cost and meals are available at the adjoining Leagues Club from 10am till 8pm in the family friendly bistro and speciality restaurants. A snack bar operates till after midnight.

I was on the lookout for a locally convenient place to stay while working in Newcastle for an event over the weekend. I liked the 24-hour ability to check-in since my events wrapped up after 10:00 PM, and I was worried about missing the check-in. Booking was a simple, and the staff at the reception were super friendly. I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay.

I wish I could’ve grabbed breakfast or hit the gym, but the timing just didn’t work out this time. It’s definitely something I’ll think about for next time if I end up in a similar situation again. Thanks for the great room and for the warm hospitality!

The first room offered was quite dark as was on the road side of the property amongst many trees and on the ground floor. We were then offered a room on the third floor as it gained more natural light. Room was a little tired but clean. Great dining options being part of Wests. Staff helpful and friendly. We have been to that property before and it is normally great. Room was not very nice relative to the other rooms we have stayed in. No extra pillows available, had to ask for extra towels for the four of us. Air conditioning unit also didn’t work very well. For the price paid (acknowledging it’s a holiday period) we expected more from the property.

Bed comfortable enough - I prefer my mattress and pillows on the firmer side and NO accommodation I had been to had this, so the bed is either not comfortable or comfortable enough to me.

Wish there were free water bottles and toiletries in room.

Gym - for a gym where you pay membership for, I was expecting a lot more equipments (e.g. trap bar, hyperextension)😅 and newer machines (the weight plates and big DBs were quite old). But you'd still be able to train a lot more than most hotel gyms - there are 2 squat racks, 1 smith machine, 2 cable machines, legs extension and curls machines. Can't remember whether there was a bench press, but you'd be able to do it at the squat rack if you wish.

The hotel is a part of Wests Leagues Club in Newcastle which has excellent dining and relaxation options. Check in was quick and painless and the car park was also easy to access. Bed was good.

Whilst the property is in good condition it is starting to show its age a little bit. My room didn’t have any easily accessible power points which in this day and age is very noticeable when you have items that need charging. I also find the hallways somewhat noisy. You could hear every door slam and person walking past.

Rooms need an update. New paint, carpet and patch holes would be a good start. Very noisy, can hear people talking in the hall and I mean every word they are saying. Can hear next-door too and heard a loud banging all night above us. Went up to have a look and it was just kids running around in the hall but sounded like a stampede in our room.
