Love the internal garage, homely feel to the place, excellent facilities, could really live there forever. Lovely view of the sun setting from the balcony, my only negative is the balcony is looking straight into other peoples backyards, but apart from that it is in a really central location and scenic area

Garage door wouldn't close/lock which was disconcerting. Felt like I was getting bitten by something in the bed. Flyscreen in bathroom was broken which meant there were some bugs in the room.

The location was great, but no water views as the apartment faces the back street with an unfortunate view of the rubbish bins. The apartment needs some repairs such as a dangerous power point in the kitchen, a missing lamp shade, faulty clock radio and dodgy toilet roll holder and no sink plug. The place could do with a good clean too. Other than that, it was ok.

Main living area floor dirty ( not swept, vacuumed or mopped. Air conditioner was full off mould ( due to apparent lack of use over a wet summer) and as a result needed to be turned off after 30 secs of blowing mould spores through premises.

The apartment was modern and well kept, beautiful walk along the river behind with a cafe/resturant called \"the source\" another cool cafe over the bridge about a 10 minute walk was called \"inu\" and wickham park hotel for a pub feed and live music about 15 minute walk.

The apartment had one bathroom so if someone stays on the pull out couch they have to walk through the bedroom to use it, the garage is only suitable for small cars SUVs and 4wds aren't suitable. I got no information on the number of the property or how to enter the property until I called the number provided and it took about 5 minutes for a text message with details to come through.

Dripping shower head woke us during night. Range hood in kitchen was filthy. Only one bedside lamp and this had a broken lamp cover leaving just a bare bulb to read by. Initial communication said to contact establishment 72 hours prior to get entry code. This wasn’t available and we were told it would be provided on the day. Then received an email on day asking for mobile number. This was provided but then a 2nd email was received asking for mobile number. Overall a less than satisfactory stay.

Was difficult finding the property given numbers on the lane do not run in chronological order. The apartment itself does not have basic items like an iron/ironing board. There were German cockroaches crawling up the bedroom wall and the smell of the rubbish bin (filled with rotting seafood presumably) permeated the apartment. Checkout time is 10am. At 9.59am (I was loading my car) the cleaner banged on my door and reminded me 10am was checkout time. I advised her I was loading my car and would be gone in one minute. She rolled her eyes rudely and said she will be back. I saw her around the corner smoking a cigarette as I drove off (fairly sure she rolled her eyes at me again)…honestly it just seemed an ordeal from start to finish but the thing with the cleaner convinced me this was the first and last time I’ll be here. Next time I’ll just pay extra and stay back at the Novatel in the city where I normally go.

The fit out was good and it felt quite modern. The tv’s were big and we enjoyed watching the tennis on them. The inclusions were all quite good. The main issue for me was that property needed a deep professional clean. It was tidy but the floors were dirty. They were sticky in spots and after walking around barefoot for an hour my feet were dirty. I actually cleaned the floors around the couch (just to feel more comfortable) and when I looked under the couch, there was trash, a lighter and piles of dust. I swept it all up, which was a bit gross. Lots of dust under the bed as well and the bathroom window screen was covered in dust. The bed was big and beautiful but not comfortable. My husband and I didn’t have a good night sleep. All up, the property could be amazing but needs a proper deep clean and dusting a good mattress topper to make the bed more comfortable.

Near-waterside location is nice and the nearby Source cafe is pleasant. The property is a decent size and onsite parking is a bonus, but it's quite a walk to the nearest shops. The decor in the apartment I had was stark. There was no bedside lamp or soft lighting and the furniture was all black polyurethane. It was mostly surface clean but the interior of the kitchen cupboards was grubby. The entrance stair carpet was filthy and created a very bad initial impression. Little things - like no plug in the kitchen sink, watered-down dishwashing liquid, and no detergent for the dishwasher - all count when you expect these to be provided (or at least be told you have to bring your own). Overall, a functional place to stay but very little ambience.

Great property. Very clean. Parking in garage underneath unit was good. Close to shopping/restaurants etc (couple of minutes drive). Only a slight negative was the bed was a bit uncomfortable. But overall would recommend this accommodation.

Disappointing

When we arrived at our advised time, the property was stil being cleaned. Apparently the previous tenants had taken a lot of the items with them so these were required to be restocked. We had to go away and come back later to unpack. Garage door was unable to be locked so access from the lane for anyone to wander in . This was fixed after a call to the property manager
We purposely booked a one bedroom rather than a studio so there would be some privacy from the bedroom to the living area. As the bedroom opened out onto the living area with no door, this was not possible.
There was no hairdryer. No batteries in the TV remote...we used the batteries from the A/C remote. Smoke detector was missing although fortunately we didn't need to use it. There was nowhere to put the soap in the bathroom once you used it. Could only leave it in or next to the basin. Toilet roll kept falling off the holder each time we used it. The apartment appeared to have been newly done so was clean and tidy
Location was good which was our main reason for choosing.
Will most likely look elsewhere next time

Great location , check in was a breeze. For an Exec Apartment disappointed when entered as it was tired looking and in need of a good thorough spring clean. It was ok but windows,ledges dusty! When walking grit stuck to feet, which is not nice to feel you need to wipe feet before going to bed. Bathroom needed a clean, floor needs a mop, old soap left out drying, water just hot enough if you don't use the cold tap for a shower & window in bathroom wont open.
Furniture was tired and could do with replacing . A little TLC and this place would be excellent. Would consider again

We arrived at 2pm but had not received the code so I called and it was sent but there was a power failure so we could not use the code to get in. Made another call and someone was going to meet us but then the Cleaner arrived and we got to have a look at the accommodation so that is how I can rate it. Due to the power failure & phone call later we were upgraded to the Chifley which had fantastic amenities. So my experience is that Natalie the property contact looked after us really well.

Location wise it’s in a nice spot close by the water and the various bars/restaurants in newcastle

Harbourside Terraces heavenly in everyway

I have stayed at Harbourside Terraces quite a lot it is my go to place that I know will be perfect.
Excellent location with short walk to waterside and town centre. Room has always been clean and bed is heavenly, beyond comfortable and nice clean sheets. Bathroom is nice and spacious and again, clean. Wifi is good. Aircon allways works and cooled down the apartment. We didn’t hear any outside noise during night anytime we have stayed here it's very peaceful. Overall, was happy with price, location, clean & comfortable sleep, and will continue booking here.

Delightful Newcastle Harbour

Location was very pleasant, walk to centre,beach and right on harbour. Stairs would be an obstacle for children (no gate), and those like myself with mobility issues. However, perfect location for exploring port, beaches and further afield such as the vineyards.

The apartment wasn't staffed , but the staff I did speak to on the phone were friendly and helpful. Facilities were basic but comfortable, however the beds and pillows not so much. A coffee table and outside tables and chairs for the balcony wouldn't go astray. A bit stingy with the towels, and no tissues or face cloths in sight - very basic, but clean!

These apartments where very dated and unclean window screens where thick with dust just so unhealthy doesnt take long to clean spoke to manager he tried to argue with me that it was clean rug was full of crumbs all over longe needed to be recovered or thrown out to homeless it was filthy carpet was filthy lights outside were blown to see codes to get in had to shine car lights on it to see. Instructions inside noted $140 to pay to clean carpet maybe they need to update that as well not very guest friendly.

We were attending a near by festival and this place was perfect ! We stayed 2 nights, the place is right near everything and has perfect facilities! The check in system was easy and place was very clean! Highly recommend for. Weekend stay , we will be going back for sure :)

Firstly the address was incorrect, there is no reception just a phone number, it took 20 minutes for them to direct us to the correct apartment, it was filthy and did not match description at all. They refused to cancel our reservation but said they would relocate us to their star appartments. This also turned out to be some kind of bad joke. It took them another 30 minutes to text us the gate code, another guest opened the gate for us, he indicated they were leaving due to the cleanliness of their room. When we finally got the code to our room, it was disgusting to the point of making your skin crawl. Dirty dishes, mould and mildew everywhere, un vacuumed mats and carpets, broken shower rails, and worst of all dirty stained bed sheets and smelly towels, I could go on..... Once again a phone call to their head office proved to disappoint as they were not willing to allow us to cancel the reservation and move to somewhere hygienic. It was expensive and by far the worst place I have ever stayed....never ever stay here or their partner properties.

Convenient location to Newcastle foreshore

Enjoyed our stay - very convenient location to walk to restaurants, short drive to entertainment centre. Kitchen was equipped with everything you would need. Bedroom had plenty cupboard space and bed comfortable. Airconditioning was great on the hot days. not having to both about keys was great. Just put in a code to garage and entry into unit was great. For anyone that didn't like stairs from garage up to main living area this wouldn't be for you. The fish co-op is only a few minutes away.

Stayed one night as we were attending a function and wouldnt be able to drive after. Perfect for what we needed.

Review of apartment

Overall the room was neat and tidy and adequate enough for a one night stay. The only issues really was that it was advertised with a king bed and this was confirmed the day prior to check in. On arrival two smaller beds were pushed together therefore not long enough for a man of 6 foot 4 to stretch out properly (hence the request for the bigger bed). If I had of known it was two smaller beds together I'd have honestly booked another motel that advertised queen or king (preferable). TV was too high for comfort of watching a movie.

I only gave staff 3/5 because I had to call 3 times about the PIN for entry. When I booked initially I was told I'd be sent the PINs 24 hrs ahead. When they hadn't arrived 3 hrs before our booking I called & was told they'd be sent 2 hrs beforehand. When they hadn't arrived 1/2 an hr after our booking started I had to call again & was told they'd made a mistake. The PINs were then texted to me.
DON'T LOCK THE SCREEN DOOR! We couldn't get in to the door because the screen door was locked! Fortunately we could enter via the garage but it was a bad moment in the dark. Please ask the cleaners to MAKE SURE THE SCREEN DOOR IS UNLOCKED!!!
Apart from that, it was great (except for noisy neighbours till 1 am on Friday night, directly across the lane). We didn't feel we could call the police about them as it was just one woman talking.. & talking... & talking.

Handy location beats tired interior

There was a pin supplied for easy check in. A spacious one bedroom apartment had some cleaning issues which was a bit off putting. The bedding was two singles wedged together with a ridge down the middle the bathroom no more than functional. But after saying all that the location was perfect for our needs and priced well. Probably wouldn't stay again.

Very convenient location and I really enjoyed the close proximity to the harbour foreshore walk. Noise was not a factor to worry about and the neighbourhood was pretty quiet. Despite a big dog next door, there was no disturbance bar a brief woof once or twice. Staff responded to my calls for assistance quickly and with good attitude.
Window in Bedroom needs latch fixing.
I will stay here again.

The apartment was clean, warm, and had everything we expected. Keypad access means that we had no contact with the staff, although a courtesy phone call a few days before was polite and friendly. The kitchen was limited with the supplies (four of us but only three mugs... and three knives??) but other than that, the apartment was well equipped.

Cockroaches upon arrival

I arrived quite late (about 11pm) and opened the door. When I flicked on the light switch, I was greeted by 4 cockroaches. I killed these and went to make a cup of tea. When I reached the kitchen, I saw 2 more cockroaches. In the bathroom I saw one. As I filled the kettle to make tea, another roach came running out of it. This was an AWFUL start to my stay.
There were two types of roach - normal large house cockroaches and those small German roaches.
I turned the air-conditioning on and left it on all day and night, and did not see another cockroach the second night I stayed there. The day I did see the cockroaches had been hot and humid, however that doesn't really make up for seeing at least 8 in one night in an apartment you are paying $200 a night for.

Noisy Laneway Lodgings

Our apartments were one bedroom units in a huge low rise residential complex complete with barking dogs and noisy neighbours. This is NOT a hotel! It is also not harbourside, it is bounded by a creek and a highway. The units are above your garage, up dirty carpet stairs. Thankful for comfortable bed and choice of pillows but poor sleep from outside noise. Well equipped kitchen. Balcony had a view of the lane but no furniture. Mold in bathroom, cobwebs from ceiling.
