Not tidy.

The establishment is in a terrable condition outside as well as inside.
The weeds and lawn are really overgrown.
Very old outside furniture that does not match one another looks reaaly terrable.
Our couch in our bedroom's arm rest had a buge tear in it.
Our clothing cupboard's door was broken off, and was standing in the backyard.
Our 2 plate stove top was very old and dirty, should be replaced.
Our air conditioner did not turn on when the weather was hot outside.
Weeds and long grass was everywhere outside, even in frint of all the units.
When we opened our kitcgen door, (back door), there were weeds and dead shrubs, also our broken down clothhing cupboerd door, and an old car battery.
A drain was leaking, and overflowing, and the dirty water made a kong pool in the backyard, it was green from age already.
Not healthy at all

Hosts are the most helpful ever. The room and the bathroom room was clean and well equipped. So is the kitchen area,
A chair would have been nice so the two of could sit across the table while eating.

Didn’t like anything it’s very poorly managed and maintained. Towels mixed matched seen better days. Pillows old well used by date. Aircon wasn’t working properly, ceiling in the bathroom and toilet full of mildew. My husband booked it didn’t see old reviews. The managers didn’t care bad reviews of three months or more nothing changed. We asked them to make the beds came back after 4 hours room was as we left it. It’s a waste of time writing reviews

We checked in late and the owner made it a hassle free easy stay. Beds were comfy and had a well equipped kitchen only thing I would mention that the property is looking a little tired and dated. But this was reflected in a good price . Overall would recommend for a brief lay over or bed while you await a flight

Affordable property. Kitchenette well equipped (toaster, microwave, toaster-oven, etc)
Air Con didn't work but was not a big deal as a fan was provided.
Only one soap provided.
Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom.
I didn't find any sports or movies on the TV Channels.
But this is a budget motel so overall I was happy, the hosts were very nice, and I would stay here again if the price remains competitive.

Very disappointed on cleanliness. All the dishes in the cupboard were all dirty. And there was no dishwashing liquid to clean the dishes. Bins weren’t emptied. Bathroom had lots of mould on the walls.

Made a late booking on the internet through Hotels.com and there was nothing said about not being able to, booking was made and paid for upfront via visa debit card and when we arrived there no one was at reception or answerd the door or picked up the phone calls. We had to make another booking last minute and stay somewhere else...

I liked the updated feel of the bedrooms, fresh feeling bedsheets and soft carpet. Everything was clean and well presented. Such a shame that the inside of the property was not reflected on the outside. It was unkept with long weeds and dried leaves everywhere which gave the property an abandoned feeling.

Ok place in need of lots of TLC

It is ok place to stay. Owner heped connect me to wifi standing in middle ofroom but as soon as i sat down at table connection was lost. Lots of dead spots so that was poor. In need of a refresh, spend some of the quiet time cleaning properly and some paintwork. Work work wonders. The contractor noise on our first night was keeping us awake from 2am to 4am.

we liked the fact that one could cook in the motel a full range of pots cutlery etc . but the motel could do with a paint internally and the wall paper replaced or removed and walls painted but overall value for money. Nice and clean you could replace the back door lock with a dead lock system would not take much to spring open rear door with a bar. Cheers

You get what you pay for, as far as comfort n price go. It costs extra to use the laundry. Two stove elements didn't work n the oven was filthy. One bed comfy the other u could feel the structure of the mattress The couch was for very short legs

Nothing really noticable. What needs to be done with those motels is a good sprouse up things are a bit tired , also there was long hair on carpet not sure weather it was human or dog hair could have been both, Pillows need updating and also the tv needs attention as for 3 nights we had interference and couldnt see the rugby or any tv, It would be great motels if things were all tidied up. Even the ashtrays outside had not been cleaned for awhile either. Hey guys I am not winching but just saying what it is, The Manager is a Top Bloke..

The grounds were filthy with long weeds and cigarette butts around the sealed area.
The room smelt of stale cigarette smoke, there were cobwebs all across the ceiling, the fridge was dirty - remnants of food were left inside.
The room allocated to me has rear door that had been forcibly entered at some point with the door jamb clumsily nailed back into position - the door lock could was not catching properly and could be pushed open.
We had paid in advance and while the price was cheap at $99 per night I had expected not to have Sky TV or other 'trimmings' but did not expect to experience such filth or sense of unease.
After 20 minutes I elected to leave the site and booked into another Motel further along Riccarton Road.
I did not request a refund as I felt uneasy about discussing this with the proprietor. We will never pay in advance again and I am very disappointed that we booked through your website - we had assumed that a reputable site such as Expedia guaranteed certain standards which I admit are my assumption - we shall not use this site again nor will we recommend it.

Wonderful staff who are cheery and kind.

The room smelt of smoke. The bed was a little hard and the room had no real way to cool it. The back door did not feel very safe with a flimsy yale lock.

The staff however were wonderful and really well informed about the area.

A bed for the night

This is an older motel and could use some updating. Things like wall paper peeling, a kind of cold fridge and air conditioning that kind of worked. If it had been a warmer evening the AC would not have provided any comfort. There was at east 1gb of free wifi.
Still for the price it is about what you would expect in Christchurch.

Simple motel

Motel staff was very nice and always smiling.
However the motel itself was okay to stay in. It didnt have sky tv in it or a swimming pool/gaming pool table or anything to relax while staying here.

Its just a nice room with a tv broadcasting normal free channels.

I would really install Sky Tv as the price I have paid in this motel it really should have had those extras by default anyway.
If the Motel owners could also maybe have something built around here like a room for table tennis or pool table where one could go and unwind/relax that would really help.

The main entrance to the motel is very very dangerous. I almost crashed into another car while going out as the sight distance to see another car coming is basically ZERO Metres!! I would also take out the wall infront of the motel and replace it with a see through fence ! The Tui Motel sign also needs to be better as its very hidden at night.

Overall, if you looking for a place to stay and cant find anyother place, then this is okay to stay the night.
