Well I called in advance to make sure I had booked a double queen room. (As i had two hotel rez. at two different hotels that week)I was told thats all they had there. They were actually a 2 doubles. I paid for 2 queens.
I requested a couple pillows, they said they do not give out extra pillows. There were some shady hooker looking people. On premises.
The photo showed an updated Motel 6 room. It wasnt. Felt like a room from the 80’s.
The lock on door was dmages as if it was broken into before.or at least tampered with
I will not stay here again. If it was a real motel 6 they this one should have stayed with the 6$ a night schedule.
The keys needed to be remagnitized that evening we returned from our event. I had to ask the desk mngr 3 times to

Staff tried to be helpful in finding adjacent rooms. Otherwise the rest of the experience was poor. Access to laundry and ice machine was closed at 9pm, which made it useless if you are out with full day activities. Beds were rock hard, sheets were quite thin. Only bar soap provided. No fridge, no shampoo, no hairdryer. Air conditioner low and high settings blow at the same speed, making the room climate hard to get right. Noisy low class neighbors.. but hotel can’t do much. It just makes the environment feel low class.

The lights inside the showers dripped & poured dirty water into our shower seemingly when people above us showered. This was a danger of unsanitary conditions and electrical shock in 2 rooms, one we moved to because of situation which had the same problem.

The room was subpar. Upon entering, we were met with an unpleasant odor, likely from an unaddressed waste issue. The room featured two queen-sized beds with two pillows each, which were insufficient for our heads. We requested two additional pillows, but unfortunately, they were unavailable. It is unclear whether this was due to a lack of inventory or a deliberate decision to withhold them.
Furthermore, the shower curtain exhibited mold growth at the bottom, and the tiles were visibly dirty. The limited availability of towels necessitated a makeshift solution. The beds also emitted a persistent squeaking noise, contributing to the overall discomfort.
Given the unsatisfactory experience, we strongly advocate for a refund for our stay. The staff’s lack of assistance and stinginess further exacerbated the situation.

The worst place—if you have children, do not stay there; it is terrible. The room I was given was dirty; it hadn't been cleaned and had cockroaches and spiders. The bathroom was full of mold—on the curtains, the ceiling, and the shower. The blankets were all stained, and there was a terrible odor. I do not recommend it at all; it is disgusting!!!!!!!

I decided to stay here because they did have decent reviews for the most part but they were all very wrong. Do not be fooled by the reviews. The rooms were completely disgusting, there was no hot water. The locks on the room door were broken. There was old poop on the toilet. Globs of stuff all over the floor, what it was I’m not sure but it was gross. Beyond disgusted with this hotel, I ended up having to find a new hotel for my family to stay out. They wouldn’t refund me for both nights I booked for but they did reimburse for one night. This location is not worth the money saved, the money they are charging for what you get is like highway robbery.

The room was filthy. You couldn't walk around barefoot the floor felt dirty. There was a dirt smudge on the sheet and hair on the credenza. It was so noisy. It sounded like the guests above us were rearranging furniture. You could hear full on conversations of other guests. We checked out first thing in the morning because we couldn't even take a shower there was no hot water. I called the front desk to complain but the front agent said to come to the front desk. I confirmed my room doesn't have hot water and you want me to come to the front desk. The agent said yes... So we just checked out. Upon returning my key I told the front desk agent again there was no hot water, she said that they would check with maintenance. Check what? I'm checking out, I just gave them my keys. Long story short... Never again. I had another day booked later in the month but cancelled it immediately after checking out.

Please don't come here. All rooms say non smoking but they reek of smoke. Made me nauseous and my kids had headaches. The room has no real amenities. Only 1 toilet paper roll. No towels, no dryer, no shampoo or conditioner. One one bar of soap. And our room was so so small that the a/c unit under the room window touched the bed. So whoever slept on that bed had the a/c blasting on their butts. Because is was mostly blocked the room was not cooling, just that bed. Please go somewhere else!!!

On a budget it’s price is quite a bit cheaper then other properties in the area. Starbucks is across the street 1 minute walk and opens at 5am or earlier, el pollo and Wendy’s also across the street and a donut shop. Rooms are small shower even smaller. Close to everything in Oceanside.. I recommend it if you’re okay with older motel offering value, only for a day or two at the most otherwise spend more money on a higher rated hotel/motel. Hope this helps someone

No one was at the front desk for over 15 minutes. I called and no one answered
Once she showed up she gave us our room key. We drove around to the room where we were greeted by 2 prostitutes. Awesome right? Then walked by several rooms that people were living in. Windows open shady looking people. Our room was tiny and smelt like pee. The shower was yellow and stained. We immediately left. Lost my deposit but couldn't stay with my kids there. Do not recommend at all

Had to go to the office a few times cause the key wouldn't work. The window curtains had stains on it. Even tho it was a non smoking room it still smelled. The bathroom looked like a gym shower. The bed squeaked every time you move. One of the light fixtures didn't work. Best part of the room was the TV. It was a nice size for the room. Pretty much you get what you pay for. If you don't have much to spend, this place will suffice. Just have to suck it up.

Room was ok. Toilet was not working well on arrival and smelled a bit. Lots of sketchy people in the area. As I checked out the next day, there was a random guy jiggling the door to the room I had just checked out of. Made this aware to the staff and it seemed like just another day. I was charged the deposit fee after checkout even though I did not do anything to damage the room. The room was fine to just sleep and check out the next morning as I did, but wouldn’t recommend for multiple days stay.

It deserves 0 stars! Don’t go there!! The room was outdated and old. The TV was fuzzy and small. The bathroom door couldn’t be locked or closed. There were rips in the curtains and shower curtains. The air condition shut itself off every 20 minutes and there was no way to fix it even after the electrician/handyman on site took a look at it. The smoke detector was removed and when we requested it to be fixed, they put in one that would chirp every minute. We had to remove it and brought back to the front desk after all. There was no extra pillows when we requested. There was no hair dryer. No microwave in the room. We had no way to adjust the temperature of the mini fridge and it was not cold at all. The ice vending is locked from 9pm to 9am and there was no way to get ice during that time. The lady at the front desk was so mean. After so many things went wrong, I wanted to switch room so I stood in line to wait for my turn at the front desk. The lady was helping a couple of people and she asked them if they would like a room on the first floor, second floor or third floor. Those people said it didn’t matter and they chose second floor. My son has disability so I asked for a 1st/ground floor room when it was my turn. The lady at the front desk told me all the room were sold out and she couldn’t move me anywhere. It was such a lie especially right after I heard her offering rooms at different levels to the people in front of me. I was so upset! Most horrible experience ever!!!

Better off saving your money and sleeping outside than here. Worst hotel in the area by far. Pillows were flat and old (yellow stains) bathroom smelled like someone took a fresh dump and left it plus the water pressure in the shower I’ve had better from a garden hose. On top of that the area is sketch and I was worried when I was a wooden bar in the window to keep people from coming in.. again go elsewhere

I did not like that at 8:30 in the morning when I went to the lobby for coffee I was told there was none- the sign had said they sévd coffee till 10:00. Also there was a lot of noise under the bed ( like someone being kept there) and the last night I was there, they were moving furniture in the room above me and banging so loud that the fire alarm feel down!!!

Attendant walked into the front desk area a few minutes after I did. We had reserved two rooms, when we walked into one room it had not been cleaned, honestly felt like we walked into someone’s room so we hurried out and went back to the front desk and requested/received a new room then left for dinner. When we got back to both rooms, I noticed the shower in the room we hadn’t checked initially was not clean. Won’t mention details but you can imagine. The bldg was aged and could/should have been renovated, okay fine. The rooms were not cleaned and shouldn’t have been assigned. It was one night stay, not vacation and thought “been to Motel6 before why not? Never any issues,,,”. Heads up, make sure to inspect rooms when you first walk into them. Pretty certain I won’t be staying in any Motel 6 again.

I knew what to expect from a hotel / room perspective but there was a guy yelling at 6AM and it went on for a couple of hours. Luckily, I had ear plugs but when I called down and asked if they would ask him to be quiet they said “he is a regular and he does that.” Mmmm, OK. Overall, good value for the money. Maybe I just got the wrong room location.

they have quit.the place is so far run down it needs shutdown and rebuild.shower floor torn, could feel rotting wood under linoleum with foot, could see outside door when closed, cut wood in place to hold window shut, 2 queens in a king room, could not enter bed from far left or right as there was only 2 inches before wall, wifi wouldn't work, staff was rude and slow, there is no restroom when you arrive, no counter either, lots of milling about by other guests, shady like illegal activity, room is dirty, past what a quick sweep and mop can correct, tv remote had paint stains but not color of room, battery holder missing taped over to hold them in. fixtures in bathroom broke- repaired - rusted and not in alignment. i have pictures this place needs to lose 3-4 stars, its not habitable

The check in was quick, staff was polite, The room was clean. Very limited amenities, no microwave, hairdryer, iron, coffee maker, no face tissue. With 2 beds, only one face cloth one towel provided, 3 bath towels. The location is convenient close to everything, but it is very close to the freeway, pretty noisy. For us of 2 person in this room, we are ok because we only need the space for sleep .

The Motel seemed neither safe nor secure. Far too many questionable individuals in the stairwell, parking lot, and even the lobby. I can't help but wonder if this location receives vouchers from the County to house the homeless . I did not stay , and left right after checking in and inspecting the room. The beds were poorly made, and the overall condition room was questionable.
I did receive a full refund, so I can't complain about it but the staff, but I would not recommend that location.

I appreciate the staff...they were very nice, I just wasn't at all impressed with the room. I was walking around in my white tube socks, and they ended up black on the bottom from just the room floor. The sink shot water onto my clothing, (and the counter all around it) every time I used it. There were no clothes hangers on the rod, and when I asked about it at the front desk I was told, \"There are no hangers.\" (That would have been nice to know before I left home.) Finally, when I needed ice at 7:30 am and the room the ice machine was in was locked, they told me that it's only unlocked from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, (I had to leave at 8:30!) Again, that would have been good to know right up front! The bed was comfortable enough, and the price was good...but I don't want to think about how well the room was cleaned. Also, again, the staff was very good to me, except when they couldn't be. I will not be staying at any Motel 6 again...obviously their standards have changed since I last stayed, probably 30 years ago.

This place is so much cleaner than the last time I tried to stay here. Probably the cleanest motel 6 I’ve been to in the last few years. They have 2 smallish washers for 2.50 here, and 2 dryers for the same price. They work well, just can’t do a large load at one time. The shower is small without a tub and my toilet did have problems flushing and then there was a chemical odor as if the pipes were backed up; however the staff definitely is as accommodating as possible and if you ask for something nicely, they will do their best to help. They are friendly and I feel like In trust the staff; they’ve probably just seen a lot of behaviors and don’t have that fake sugary persona; but are actually very kind and super reasonable people. Prices are usually affordable and there is so much in short walking distance; including another coin laundry across the street, dining & coffee shops and a Grocery Outlet store. I would definitely stay here again if it remains affordable
