I’ve driven all over the North island these past 2 weeks and wish I’d spent less time everywhere else and more time in Hahei, specifically at Church Accommodation! My cottage was elegant and comfortable, with a view into a carefully crafted luxury jungle. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful with directions and by keeping top-notch shovels and beach towels on hand for my excursion to nearby Hot Water Beach (go during the middle-of-the-night low tide, if you can. I went during the day and it was overly crowded which made digging a decent soaking hole challenging…). My shovel was the envy of all my soaking neighbors!
I had dinner two nights at the Bistro on the property and was overjoyed at the food and service—they’re owned separately, but it’s nice to be walking distance to the best restaurant in town.
The beach up the street is simply one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been too and the walk to Cathedral Cover was more of an elevation gain than I bargained for, but so very worth it. (You can skip a few miles and drive to the parking lot, nearby if you need to. There are boats, too, for a price.)
There is a great little breakfast spot up the road and a market next to that. My pretty cottage had a nicely appointed kitchen with a full set of cookware and dishes.

The hosts were lovely and so helpful. The gardens were beautiful and I enjoyed sitting on my private patio with a cup of tea each morning. The bar fridge was a good size, the mattress was super comfortable. I loved the decor - wooden floors and the unique recycled windows and doors. The parking was right outside the unit and generously sized. Walking distance to the shops. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend.

The photographs on the website do not do justice to this beautiful property - it is a masterclass in green style and comfort. It is sparkling clean. Great water pressure and HOT water for showers. Bedding is breathable cotton, fresh and luxurious.

This is one of the prettiest rentals I’ve ever stayed at. The room was very cozy, the owner Andraz (sp) was extremely helpful, he assisted us getting on the kayak trip we thought was sold out as well very helpful in helping us with a tire repair. We are here the first of December and the gardens are so lush and gorgeous! The room is delightful, clean and comfortable. With temperatures this time of year no AC or heat is needed so we can have the windows open bringing birdsong and the scent of jasmine into the room.

The only negative i have would be the exposed black wires dangling down from underneath the wall mounted tv and dropping to floor level could be re routed, or covered/tidied up.

Church Accomodation was one of the best accomodations on my New Zealand trip, it's so nice there. Beautiful design of the rooms and the whole site. Very nice and friendly staff. Hahei is such a great location and together with the stay at The Church Accomodation I had a wonderful time there.

Loved our cottage! We used the wood stove on a chilly evening. Stayed with our grandkids and we used the little room just outside the main building for our bedroom. Gave us a little more privacy and quiet time while the children enjoyed the main part of the house. A cottage is kind of the incorrect term as it was more of a house. Well supplied and maintained. Little fenced in yard in front with lemon trees. Would highly recommend.

The Church Accommodation was a lovely place to stay. I recently stayed there with my adult son and daughter on vacation. Hannah, the owner, was so helpful directing us to dinner restaurants, helping us chose activities and making arrangements for us, and providing shovels and towels for the beach. The grounds were beautiful and full of lovely flowers. The room was very comfortable and homey. We loved our stay here and wish we had spent more time in Hahei. There was plenty to do and see while in the area and we definitely should have allowed more time at this site.. The drive to Hahei was much longer and more challenging than we expected. The road is quite windy and takes longer to drive than you might think. It is DEFINITELY worth the visit, however.

Beautiful location. We stayed in an individual cottage and it was lovely and spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The porch was a nice amenity and the garden out front was just starting to bloom. Check-in was easy and they gave us good tips for local food and drink, and tips for the walk to Cathedral Cove. And fast internet! Highly recommend.

We stayed in a room overlooking a beautiful garden. The room was cute with its pitched ceiling, very clean and had everything we needed. There was no TV in the room but one was available in the shared lounge if you really needed it. The lady was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here. The area is really beautiful, plenty to do and a great cafe up the road.

We loved every moment of our stay at Church Accommodation! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The woman who greeted us gave us spot-on suggestions for things to do with our kids and made us feel right at home. We absolutely fell in love with our cabin- we chose one with a wood burning stove which was a must in July. It made the whole place cozy and warm. We travelled around New Zealand for three weeks, and Chruxh Accommodation was by far and away our favorite place to stay. My only regret is that we could only stay for one night.

We loved our stay at The Church. The little unit was beautifully presented with everything you could want for a couple of nights stay. It had a lovely rustic decor with great character. It was clean and comfortable.Our cabin had a lovely deck area and the surrounding gardens were beautiful. We were most impressed with the staff. We were made to feel special as soon as we arrived. They gave us great advice on what to do and where to go. We loved the location. Close to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach and there were some lovely walks by the beach. A great place to stay. Highly recommended.

This establishment wowed us! It was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and cozy. We stayed one night and were greeted with warm friendliness by Dodo, who was awesome! The staff was great!
