Got a nail pinch on my foot that was coming out from a broken patch of carpet. Also, the grounds keeper decided it was a great idea to start working on our small front garden early am on Saturday, without telling anybody he was coming in. He was literally standing outside the room glass doors looking in. I had to close all curtains in a hurry. The checkout at 10am on a Sunday is excessive. I can understand early checkouts for massive tourist destinations like Venice or whatever, but not for a small sleepy town where most people come in for the weekend. Doubt there was a lot people lining up to check in on a Sunday in May.

We got accused of filleting and scaling fish in the apartment, and having left fish scale all over the kitchen. I have requested some photos of the so called fish scale, none were provided. We purchased salmon fillets and pizza base from the local store, and cooked a salmon pizza. An apartment with a full kitchen should allow guests to cook pizzas in the oven. If you plan on doing any style of cooking best book elsewhere.

Fantastic loved every minute... Used the gym and the pool and it was lovely and quiet. Modern and spacious apartment with nice furnishings. The view of the water and looking at the boats was peaceful. Garage for the car. All good and we would definitely stay again.

Suggest a picnic lunch at estuary end of nearby Cooks Beach. A number of nice dining choices in Whitianga. Stuart at reception very helpful with information. For a small adventure take the 309 shortcut road to Coramandel
