Door handle fell off the bathroom door and needed to be \"jimmy rigged\" to get inside. Do not expect to sleep here, there is a night club that runs until 1-2am next door. Then you will hear them unload glass bottles from 2am-5am. I have never had such a bad sleep in hostel let alone a hotel. Do not book here, also they no longer have a receptionist you check yourself in and out.

This resident are convenient but the worst part is downstairs restaurant terrible noisy .you can hear every single night carbage truck Show up midnight pick up carbage. And it's my night het tired need to get a good night sleep,you can't . I didn't enjoy my stay without good night sleep.

The room was very nice its self. I would reconsider the uncleanable cheap leather straps for handles, but to each their own on that one. There are 2 reasons for the poor report. First you could tell the owner is an extreme penny pincher. I travel a lot and absolutely hate the micro chip cards that when you are forced to take them out and the power turns off. Also when you make the keyring into a wire loop so you can’t remove the door key. This obviously causes the Air conditioner to shut off and in a hot environment when you come in late at night the room to be extremely uncomfortable. I never stay again when my comfort is not taken into consideration over saving a few cents for the cheap owner. Stop being that cheap! Second the blanket was so thin. What happened to giving an extra blanket? Again CHEAP! Lastly don’t say in you special instructions “the property’s breakfast is offered in a restaurant 20 meters away” and then not provide anything! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! Where I am staying now has given us a larger room, 2 key cards for the power and an extra blanket, plus there was waters in the fridge and freezer.

This property sounded fantastic on expedia's site but when we got there it was scary. It was dark and dingy the room was flithy, light switches that had dirty finger prints on them, the mattress on the so called sofa bed was torn and dirty. There was a crack in the ceiling skylight. It was very disappointing i would never suggest this property to anyone.

Great location. Lots of restaurants nearby. The apartment was nice and generally clean. The bathrooms are small and the apartment could use a little upkeep (I.e. paint peeling, headboard dusty, curtain valances falling off). It could use a deep clean but if you want to stay in one place with a large group it’s a great option.

Location, location, location!

The AthINN rep was very responsive and helpful. The check in information was perfect. Having a place to store luggage for early arrival was convenient. The elevator to carry luggage was great. Most of all, the location was fantastic. You can walk everywhere if you choose. Location is the reason to choose this apartment. The only negatives are street noise from bars and the apartment is a little tired. Paint, and a few repairs would make it perfect. Even with the negatives, I still recommend it highly for location alone!

This property is all about the location! Absolutely loved the it! The apartment itself is in desperate need of a refresh. A coat of paint would do it wonders. The walls look dirty and are chipped. It smells musty, like a place that hasn’t been occupied for a while. It feels very old and not welcoming. The amenities are minimal at best. On a positive note the check-in instructions were perfect! I wish every self check-in place was so precise. The location is amazing - a bit noisy but being from NYC it didn’t bother us, and also it was quiet by 11ish. This place has such great potential but I guess for the price it’s ok. We stayed there for <12 hrs so it was fine for us but I wouldn’t want to stay there any longer than that.

Central location!

Easy to follow check-in information. The location is close to a lot of restaurants, shops and the Acropolis, so if you're looking for somewhere central, this is a good option. Lots to do within walking distance.

RUN fast in another direction!

Not sure where to begin with this one...! The virtual greeting was not a problem although it was not made clear in the ads that this was an Air B&B so the greeting was hardly a warm and fuzzy one. The photo in the ads from the AthiInn must have been taken ten years ago. I have attached some photos indicating the mold on the bathroom ceiling,the rusted..and broken waste bin in the bathroom..the oily stain on the headboard..and the huge space around the closed door to our suite. We couldn't take a photo of the noise but for a \"sound proof room\"...we heard every sound of every passing scooter , siren pub goer and recycling bins ..ALL night long the was noise. We couldn't get into the safe as it was locked. The we mentioned it the person we phoned said \"the company was going to fix it\"..So..we had to either carry our passports and $$ everywhere or entrust it to this sketchy place. I must say that the young man who delivered the extra pillows was very pleasant. I wouldn't stay at this place ever agin no matter what the price. Every other place we stayed in during our three week trip to Paris and Greece were great..this was our last hotel to stay in before we left Europe..not a happy way to end.

The location was excellent. I really liked the neighborhood and it’s vibes.
This trip was my first encounter with renting a room vs being in a hotel without on site management. This was a bit off putting as while I was showering on my final night, I lost power. Management, however, responded quickly, and power was restored within a half hour.
My room was cramped but the bathroom spacious, and the balcony very nice.

It was really run down. We loved the location except a bar right across the street which was very noisy.
One of the bathrooms had a broken toilet seat. The other bathroom had major water damage and has some mold issue from it. Floor outside door was very unsafe . Door handle was broken. Beds were very comfortable. Rest of apt was very good.

The check in was a nightmare. We were not contacted about the self check in so we were left standing on the street with our luggage. A nice couple who were also staying there showed up and got us in and contacted the owner for us. She was rude and insisted that it was my fault for providing the wrong contact number, which I did not. She had the country code wrong. Finally got to the room and the door handle came off in our hand. Netflix was supposed to be available but it asked us to sign in. When I contacted the owner to ask how to sign in she didnt answer me and there was no more communication for the next three days that we stayed there. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling. The location was good, right in the middle of the restaurant and shopping district but it was also very noisy. I would not recommend this property.

The location of the apartment is perfect. In the middle of town and in walking distance from everything. It is also very easy to communicate with the stuff. A quick reply to every question.

We were staying at the 3 bedroom apartment in the second floor and although it was very spacious, it needs a renovation.

The floor at the entrance to the bathroom was broken, the bathroom wall needs to be painted, etc.

The place definitely has a lot of potential and I’m sure that an overall will make it more welcoming

The apartment was spacious for our family of 8, was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The staff is not onsight but responded promptly to emails before and during our stay. Certain rooms were a little loud at night from a nearby restaurant but it didn’t really bother us.

I was really looking forward to my stay at this hotel. We saw great reviews and ravings, but it did not live up to the positive reviews.

Good:
- very close to Acropolis
- many good restaurants nearby
- comfortable beds
- quick to communicate through WhatsApp

Bad:
- I contacted the property before my stay asking if we could check in early. They said yes and that they had time to clean it. We walked in and saw the following...
1) there were many visible coffee grounds still left in the coffee pot
2) the doorknob to our bathroom was completely broken. One side of the doorknob had fallen off entirely. The other side was barely hanging on. That is very inconvenient for multiple reasons, and we had to put the bathroom trashcan in front of the bathroom door to make sure it wouldn't open while we were on the toilet/taking a shower.
3) there was a water leakage in the bathroom drawer and there was a puddle of water that had accumulated in the bottom shelf. There was wear and tear in that shelf and it looked like this leak may have been going on for quite some time.

We requested a discount but they said we could move to another hotel halfway through our trip. Not convenient at all. It would have been difficult to get everyone in my group away from their activities to move to another hotel that hopefully had a bathroom doorknob.

Disappointed because I was looking forward to staying there.

We had a wonderful stay at Athinn Residence. Everything is in a walkable distance from restaurant and and bus stops. The free wifi and elevator is the best. My sister’s was also in Athens with us but they dont have a elevator at their hotel and they regretted it fir the same price. Everything is good to go except there is no shower wand hanger. Plus this new things about NO person checking you in and out is new to me. Everything has to be done electronically. Response time is within limits. I only stayed 2 nights there so I didn’t ask for new sheets and towels. Overall I will recommend and stay there again.

The property needs some help the paint is peeling of the walls and there are a few things that need updates. The place was clean and neat but the biggest problem was that the Air conditioner was not working properly. The living room was the only room with A/C the three bedrooms were like a furnace. I was awakened at 3 am but my grand daughter sobbing that she could not sleep she was sweating so badly. Contacting the management got us no help at all. So we suffered for 2 days. Also the other thing that was dangerous was the lights in the hallways were on a sensor. It was fine walking up the statins but going down there was no light until you reached the 1st floor and triggered the lights. It was very scary for a 77 year old woman with vertigo to go down dark stairs could have been fatal.

The location was great, with lots of restaurants, shops, and sites nearby. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was great! We enjoyed having a balcony. We were on the 4th floor, so the view was cool. However, the last flight of stairs was rough with luggage:). It was still worth it.

First very confusing for taxi to get there. Taxi people were confused. No parking. Doing construction so limited space you can’t even get out. First of all they didn’t tell me it is the 4th floor no elevator to the 4th floor. If traveling alone that is fine but for God sake when you are traveling with a family and suitcases 6! Have the curiosity to say it is on the 4th floor with no elevator. You walk in the light hits your head then the door. The light has fallen and they didn’t have the curiosity to pull it up when entering the apartment you have to be careful not to hit our heads. Happy that it was just over night. Could not stand staying there another night. It was creepy apartment. The air conditioning was sending cool air but the apartment was so hot not used not it took hours for it to cool. By the time we were leaving the it cooled off. Outside view was horrible and depressing. The windows you could not even open. For an apartment it was depressing. Not even a microwave to heat up a food. Had a fridge coffee maker hot water but no microwave!

Good size and separate bedrooms like we were looking for but only had hot water one of the days for showering and the shower consistently backed up into bathroom area. AC was good. Housekeeping came - we didn’t know they would come, most places have you indicate if you want it so it was a little disconcerting to see someone had been in there. Took out one of two garbages and made beds but didn’t add toilet paper which was almost out. Lots of cool areas nearby for shopping and dining or sightseeing. Overall not horrible, just the bathroom situation could be better.

I didn’t realize before I booked this property that it was completely self check in. If I had known this beforehand it would’ve made for less concern on arrival. Make sure you check your text messages on arrival. It completely explains the check in process as well as a storage unit if prior to check in time of 2 pm. It includes a toilet inside the storage unit. The main keys are in a lockbox. My keys were missing the blue key entrance for the outside so I had to always enter the code upon entry. The room itself was nicely furnished with AC, Netflix, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker as well as sink and kitchen accessories. The bathroom had really nice water pressure. The shower curtain could have been longer because the water tends to overflow out. The toilet brush definitely needs to be changed in Room 104 because the top was completely rusted. The door to room is a bit tricky since you have to turn at least 3 times to open it. Took several attempts to open it. Location was really convenient within walking distance to Monastiraki and roughly 15-20 minutes walking distance to the Acropolis Main Entrance.

Great hotel. Room was clean and tourist areas easily accessible. Upon arrival our door handle was broken off and we had a hard time entering our room. After struggling to get into the room we got locked inside when the lock fell off the door but management dealt with the issue quickly with excellent communication. iPad as reception was a little strange but effective. Check in and out was very easy. Hotel arranged a shuttle for us at a fixed rate. Our driver Dimitris was absolutely phenomenal. Gave us a tour of the city as we drove to port.

The only hiccup we had was the hot water not being able to shower at night since the water is heated with the solar panels (spoiled Americans lol). easy check in process (which Europe now seems to be all \"automated\" (No person to person check in, but there were options to call or video conference if there were any issues) Price that was paid, for the location, is a great value. Had problem operating the shower, despite instructions being provided. To be noted, what was called \"black out curtains\" was not effective at all, and light shined in room all night. Again, great value for location.

Very noisy hotel. We stayed on the 1st floor and were woken up everytime someone entered the hotel because the front door is very loud and there seems to be no insulation in any of the walls, it was that loud. You can also here absolutely everything happening outside, people talking, garbage pickup in the middle of the night, cars, etc… The hotel itself was ok, outdated and wasn’t cleaned the best. It’s a cheaper option to stay at but honestly I would spend a bit more for a place you can actually get some sleep at.

Location was central, which is why we booked it. At the time of writing, there was a ton of garbage bins next to the street of the hotel. Unit itself was small, relatively clean and had pretty much everything you needed for one night stay. Guests were coming in and out at all hours and slamming the main door which you’d definitely hear on the first floor. We kept jumping up from bed. All in all it wasn’t bad but wouldn’t stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and it exceeded all of my expectations. The staff made it incredibly clear on how to check in by offering a clear step by step guideline.

The room was impeccably clean ( except with a few stains on the couch) and beautifully decorated, with a great terrace.

The location was ideal, with easy access to major attractions and public transportation.

In summary, this hotel provided a truly exceptional experience. I can't recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning on my next visit to this city.

Great Stay!

It is near a lot of eateries. It is frequented by taxis so transportation is not an issue. Near to two market place plaza to do some shopping and eating. The place is clean and air condition is provided. About 16-20 minutes to the Acropolis. Most importantly, the place is clean! Maybe a microwave would be good to have. There are some mosquitoes even in the 4th floor, so maybe some fumigation is in order. One of my friends is allergic to mosquitoe bites.There is an elevator up to the 3rd floor. It is a pleasant place to come home to after going around.

We enjoyed our stay at Athinn residence. Location is great...within walking distance to the metro station so got here easily from the airport by train. Easy walk to Acropolis. Lots of restaurants nearby serving authentic Greek food. A bit noisy from other guests talking in corridor at night, as well as some exterior noise for rooms facing the road.

Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

LOCATION! A terrific value for a central location, just 300m or so from Monastiraki (central transportation hub). Tons of restaurants, bars, tavernas. Right out the door and you're looking up at that Acropolis! A short walk to the ancient Agora and all the best sites of ancient Athens.

Me and my partner had a great stay. The check-in process was really smooth, the documents sent via email explained clearly how to access the building. The property was clean and lovely, I would just add either more hangers or a small chest of drawers/wardrobe as there isn't enough space for clothes. The location is just perfect, walking distance from restaurants/dining options, shops and attractions. \"Attica bakery\" was our favourite spot for breakfast, great coffee and food choices.

This property is in close proximity to many bars and restaurants that are open until early morning, creating a lot of noise. You will not be able to sleep. The curtains are also not black-out so light comes in very easily. The room itself was wonderful with great amenities and a super comfortable bed. Very thoughtful touches from the hosts. It's a little far from the Athens train station so you will need to take a taxi. Check-in was simple, the bathroom was great, the place was clean, the building seemed safe with good security, air-conditioning worked well.

We had a great stay overall. Great location for Athens to walk everywhere. The check in and out process was all sent ahead of time to us automated and was easy. Typical Athens noise outside. Great neighborhood for food and drinks. Would stay again if back in future.

Beautiful big clean room! We stayed here for one night on our way back home from Santorini since our layover was changed and required us to spend an extra night between flights. Steps from monastiraki. Way bigger than the hotel we stayed in at the beginning of our trip which barely had room for our suitcases. This was a last minute booking and I wish I would’ve found it for the first part! Only down side was the water didn’t get very warm even following all the instructions to wait for the heater

Our 5 day stay here was fantastic. Great location, tons of cafes, restaurants at our doorstep. Acropolis is a 15 minute walk away. Funicular that overlooks all of Athens is a half hour walk away, Plaka area is 10 minute walk away.
Would make it easier to communicate if they did email versus whatsapp etc. But we were very happy overall and would stay here again for sure.

Great communication and easy to access apartment. Apartment was clean and updated. Had a large patio. Close to Metro and dining/shopping. Cons: Noisy outside - mostly due to it being located next to a row of dumpsters that were used/emptied constantly. Elevator only went up to 3rd floor so we had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. But, location, interior of apartment, and price had us overlook the cons and we booked a 2nd time.

The location was perfect and the room was very clean. We had to do the check-in and the checkout by phone so it would not have been ideal if we didn’t have local phone minutes.
Our door was not soundproof at all so we could hear the other guests arrive in the middle of the night.
Besides these negative points we really liked our stay!

The location of the property is the best! If u like to walk, it’s walking distance to everything you wanna see in Athens. Around the corner, you will see the acropolis. All the eateries are also just around the area. If/when I go back to Athens, I would certainly stay there again

Clean rooms, thoughtful amenities (first time a hotel has provided hygiene pads for women), love the jacuzzi-type shower, great communication & best of all the location is literally 2 mins away from everything! Subway station, fair priced restaurants with good food, acropolis, and Minostraki square where the vibes are emmaculate!

The location is the best part of this hotel, we were walking distance to everything! So many good food options and so much you can explore. It is a very busy area so be aware that the noise level is high at pretty much all hours. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again some day.

This property is NOT a hotel. Your reservation is non-refundable. There is no front desk and communication is done via viber/whatsapp. Very frustrating when you need to contact someone and will wait hours for a reply.

Pros: clean, close to everything

Cons: loud (garbage collection at 1am and 7am right outside the window), amenities listed on Expedia do not exist (there is no laundry room etc), walls are thin and you can hear everything, even the person walking upstairs. Kitchenette did not have all the appliances listed and coffee maker did not work. There is no closet space to put your clothing. No way to get new towels unless you pay 15 euros for room service.

The location is very central, but over all there are better places to stay. This property claims to have hotel-like features but will charge you for everything that hotels usually include for free. I recommend reserving 1 night to see if it is right for you, before adding more nights to your reservation.

Great place to stay, a ton of restaurants are close by, close to the metro, and close to shoppong. If I was to come back to Greece I would stay here again. A little noisy at night with garbage trucks and what not on the street below, but nothing too terrible. City life. Unit look exactly lile the pictures and for the price you can not beat it.

I like the location. Clean. [city workers loud at night.] No communication on how to change from king size bed to 2 twin beds. No bedding in room provided to make changes. Only one set of towels given for entire stay. No room services provided. No dresser drawers to place clothes. Like bathroom, needed shower head mounted on wall.
