The best thing about this place is the location. We stayed in appartment 2A. We spent most of our time exploring Athens. The place has basic amenities. Place is withing walking distance of Acropolis, many attactions, restaurants and shops.

We flew in from Canada on a 16-hour flight, and upon arrival at the property, we found the front gate locked. There were no instructions or check-in details provided beforehand, and no email explaining how to access the property. We had to locate a phone number ourselves, and after about 10 minutes, someone finally returned our call. They mentioned that an email had been sent, but after checking and rechecking, we confirmed that no such email was ever received. The check-in information was eventually sent to us—24 hours after we had already checked in.

After a long journey, we simply wanted to shower, but we discovered that there was no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash provided. When we called to inquire, we were told that these items were not included. While we didn’t want to argue, it was inconvenient to have to go out and find toiletries after such a long flight. Later, we checked Expedia and noticed the listing stated “free toiletries.” We recommend removing this wording so that future guests can be better prepared and bring their own essentials.

Lastly, the room we received looked quite different from the photos shown at the time of booking.

The only positive aspect of our stay was the convenient location.

Directions into the place were clearly indicated the day before we got there. Read it carefully as the apartment is upstairs above a retail/stores. Quiet apartment, but sparsely furnished with older furnishings. Spacious, but the extra bed is a small settee, not a twin pullout. Also, the toilet needs to be fixed, as it wants to run constantly. Perfectly fine if you’re not expecting fancy. Great location right in the heart of Plaka, Athens, walking distance to most of the most important sights.

We had a terrible time here. There was a party being hosted at the room in front of us and the music was blasting through professional speakers with a DJ and people coming in and out until 4am. At 4am we decided to leave the hotel and go to the airport, the party was still going strong. Couldn’t sleep or even sit in peace.

Out of date with misleading room description

We booked a room for 3 people which was billed as a double bed and single sofa bed. The sofa bed was just a small 2-seater sofa which didn’t convert in any way to a bed. I’m 5ft and this was too short for me to comfortably lie on. It was also in terrible condition and would not have been comfortable to sit on. We emailed the property and got no response to had to alternate with 1 person sleeping on the floor.
The photos listed are very misleading and easily 7/8 years old. The flat was in shabby condition and the kitchenette wasn’t stocked with quite a few basics (they had 1 fork).

My family were in the streets because they were closed when we arrive to the address. We called before explaining that the flight was delayed one hour and they don’t care. They don’t even advise to stay at the airport. We were at the streets. We were calling multiple times since 1:30 am. They answered at 8:30 am. They did not allow us to use the next day I have for reservation. I said I have one more day and They even said, don’t. And that I have to talks to Expedia.
Please, I advise you do not get this hotel. You will be scam.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The listing says there is AC, but none of the AC works. AC was a need as we stayed here in the summer when it was 40°C, so we wanted a property that had AC. When I confronted the property about the AC problem, they completely lied and said that they went into the room the next morning and the AC was on. Terrible dishonest management!!

It was meant to have a pull out couch/bed which we couldn’t find. Spoke to one of the cleaner that spoke to the owner, she didn’t care was meant to call back but didn’t. Greedy and lazy management that rent out horrible rooms that are very average.

Deceiving pictures.

The pictures of the room on hotels.com look much better than it actually is. The bed is really uncomfortable. It is a decent room to stay at for a night but not longer stays. The pictures are really deceiving. The WiFi did not ask for a password which is unsafe. The hotel is in an alley way which is unsafe.

Avoid!!

Awful. The one positive is the location, very handy for all the night life of Monistiraki. However, the apartment was freezing cold, dirty and cheaply & poorly equipped. I had a couple of queries so tried to get in touch but a phone call went to voicemail, and 3 emails went unanswered so customer service was non-existent.

Outdated Central location

The instruction to get in were probided thr day before and easy to follow.
Location is central and closed to some of the most lively neighborhood of Athens, unfortunately this also makes it really noisy as the entrance only has a fence and the noise in the building carries a lot. You can hear the bar acrros the street all the way to the 2nd floor. You also hear the noise from above and in the staircase.

The furnishing is outdated and most of the furniure is old and damaged.
The mattress is also old and uncomfortable. The bed is extremely low so not recommended for anyone that has issue getting up or down.

The bedroom although clean you can see that it was done really fast lots of dust and dirt in the corners.
The bathroom only has a small light over the vanity. The shower head is still broken, and lots of mold on the shower ceiling.

Rude and not helpful local manager

Our stay was ok. The room is old but clean. However, when we run into a problem, the people who manages the hotel was not helpful at all. The problem is that their door is old and the lock could not be opened easily. The trick was to pull the door toward you while turning the key. When we finished our dinner and came back to the hotel, we were unable to open the door. We called the manager and he was kind of rude and was not very helpful. Eventually we figured it out how to open the door, but for a moment we thought we were going to be homeless in Athens for the night.

You get what you pay for, but great location

The photos make the place look SO MUCH better than it actually was. The best way to describe it overall is: shabby (NOT chic). I'm sure the blankets had been washed, but I found hair stuck to them & that was very off-putting. The shower is very tiny and the curtain sticks to you when you're wet. The towels were so rough, we humorously started calling them \"sandpaper\" when referring to them. It was loud at night.

The location was superb if you plan on walking to the shipping address & local attractions! The beds, as long as you can get past their uninviting appearance, were very comfortable to sleep on. The room was pleasantly cooled with the AC. Communication with the host was splendid. They were very quick to respond to any inquiries.

Although the overall appearance of this accommodation was lacking, it was as clean as possible. If I couldn't find anything else in the same price range, I would stay here again... But I would do a very thorough search for something else first.

The property manager tried to reach us via message but we just arrived in Athens, no internet and no SIM card so we did not get the message from the property manager in time. With the help of police men I got to open the gate of the building and open the door. The property is cold when we arrived. You need to turn on the heating by yourself to use the hot water. We felt cold during the night although there's air conditioning installed.

Great Location

Spacious apartment for 3 people with a great location. Very walkable area near lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. It can be noisy at night if you are facing the street (we were), but we were only there for one night and the price and location worked great for our needs! Nick was very helpful with arranging a taxi for our trip to the airport. Access to an elevator and air conditioning was much appreciated for a hot summer visit!

difficult to find and getting in was an adventure but thankfully many guests have difficulty getting in so the concerned at the hotel around the corner kindly phoned the front desk person to get the code to get in. Otherwise i would have had to do what the last guest had to do here - stay at that hotel around the corner because he couldn’t get a hold of the person.

Pros: Fantastic location, friendly/accommodating staff, clean, comfortable bed and a good price.

Cons: The interior definitely did not look as nice as in the pictures. The furniture was very worn down, the wall deco was kind of creepy, no towel bar or hook in the bathroom (it appears there was one, but it was removed) and garbage can no longer had a pedal, only a wire to step on to open it. Overall the place was empty and didn’t particularly feel homie or welcoming. A few decorations could go a long way.

That being said, I still enjoyed my stay. The pros made up for a lot. :)

Great location! Right across the street from a cute area with restaurants and shopping .and walking distance to all the other main shopping flea markets and other restaurants . There are historical places close by too .
Even though the tour bus did not pick us up at our hotel the hotel we did meet at was walking distance too.
If you do not prefer walking ,taxi’s are all around!

Even though not always someone on duty , when I needed something Vladimir was helpful and had it figured out.
Your first impression is hard seeing where and how the front of the hotel is but we were quickly pleased with the room size and location, and cleanliness .

This hotel is in a perfect location to some wonderful bars and a great shopping district. There are also wonderful street food places really close by!
We were in very good communication with concierge hotel days before we stayed, we arrived at awkward times and they told us the information on how to leave our bags in a safe place, which was very helpful. We texted throughout the day to discuss when our room will be ready and what time we can check in, which was also, really helpful.
When we arrived, he was very lovely and extremely helpful.
We got to our room and we were very pleased, it’s a light and airy space, with a vey practical use. We didn’t spend much time in the room as we weren’t exploring the surrounding area. But when we were in the room it was exactly what we wanted. The room is a unique studio appartment that I would 100% recommend staying in.
After being shown our room, the guy told us if we need anything we can always text him and he will give us the best advice or come straight over, which is very reassuring.

The apartment looks very different (much worse) then the pictures on Expedia. The room has an industrial warehouse look and a very persistent smell. The bed sheets were old and stained. The mattress on the bed was very basic, and uncomfortable. No, no, no, and no !

It is really placed well and you can walk to the most sights in Athens and that is what you want.
Lovely welcome by Vladimir and the apartment self was great and clean. Loved it.
We only stayed one night. One thing however there is a pub/bat close by, if you are young and like being out till the wee hours of the morning this will not bother you but if you want to go to bed at nine.... best to find another place.
But if you are not fussed about noise or if you can tune out your hearing aid..... I would recommend.

These self catering apartments are nice, but not as nice as the photos make them seem. The bed was comfy and the room big but the shower and bathroom are so tiny and the whole bathroom gets wet when you shower. It is also quite noisy as you can hear other guests coming back to their rooms late at night. The location is good for exploring Athens.

Great location... walking distance to Acropolis and other historical places. Good food places close by. Book their bigger rooms, smaller rooms have very bad beds. Also be prepared to get scared if you come in night time as our room had a painting with writing \"it's a fraud\" and having scary books around you. They should remove this two items from room. It's not a hotel, it's more an apartment, so be prepared similar expectations. However owner is very good and very accommodating.

Right In the Centre of Athens

Very easy to follow the entry instructions and staff available immediately on the phone to help us get into the apartment at 2am.
Lovely room with excellent shower and hot water. Slightly limited kitchen equipment, but enough for us to self cater a bit. We ate out quite a lot, so it didn't matter.
Very comfortable and large bed, spare duvet and pillows as it was a bit chilly in January. Roof terrace for breakfast was lovely. Look forward to coming back.

We had a very late arrival and hotel staff was wonderful at communicating check-in instructions with us. Had a few email exchange prior to arrival and they were great at responding quickly with helpful information. A few sheets of information were also left in our room with wifi connection instructions and restaurant suggestions, etc., I thought that was great. The place was extremely spacious and very clean. Also from my 2 weeks stay around Greece, this place had the most comfortable beds. Possibly even more comfortable than my own. Unfortunately, we had a very short stay but would love to go back. Seems like a great little neighbourhood too.

Very spacious large studio apartment. Comfy beds and sheets/covers. Handy sink/kettle/cutlery etc. Small shower room - plenty hot water. Great if you are looking to join in the fun in the bars, cafes nearby which close around 2am. If you are looking for quiet place and an early night - this may not be for you.

We arrived in athens very early in the morning and Maggie was very accommodating to get us into our room earlier than expected. We needed to check out later but was able to secure our bags for a few hours without any problem. Our only complaint was that the bars around the corner were very loud until very late which kept us awake.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff is not present on premises but available over text/ phone. The location is good, 10 minutes walk to Monastraki square. Its quiet in the night for people who want the peace in the night. The room we had on the first floor was spacious. The only downside was the bathroom- the shower curtain was so flimsy that after every use the entire bathroom floor was wet. Other than that, no complaints.

Our stay was brief but the Concierge Athens was both big and accommodating. It is close to everything including good restaurants and a nice brisk walk to the Acropolis and Plaka.
