The staff was superb! They were very friendly and helpful.

The property itself needs a deep cleaning and significant repairs. It looks and feels absolutely nothing like the photos on Expedia. We arrived expecting a charming, clean, four star boutique hotel as advertised, and instead found a grubby one or two star property… it was a very disappointing end to a great holiday.

Heads up: The noise from the bars and restaurants next to the hotel lasts well into the night — bring noise cancelling earplugs.

Staff were very helpful and we had constant communication. Room was clean but dated which we did not mind. Balcony was nice. We were close to the Metro 4 min walk which helped us get to and from the airport. Felt safe.

We came in at 3am due to a late flight, and they were very accommodating! They booked our airport transportation and waited for us to check in. Excellent location if you want to be close to the Acropolis. Lots of bars and restaurants around so perhaps not the best if you want quiet family time.

horribly noisy. room was set up for 1 person. stairs just to get to reception. no chairs on our balcony--other had chairs. stinky \"BO\" elevator. shower with no place to put soap or towel. 1 star hotel at best.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to navigate the area. We were fortunate to have a view of the Acropolis right from our balcony, which was a highlight. The room we stayed in was unique, spacious, and clean, though there were some minor challenges, like the lack of a curtain in the bathroom. Despite that, it was a very pleasant stay overall.

The hotel was in a great location, and the room was huge and well appointed. The staff was pleasant and helpful with transfers from the port and the airport. Unfortunately, our entry door was unable to lock, meaning we didn't feel safe leaving our luggage unattended, and we found bed bugs in our bed.

If you’re looking for a place to just sleep this is it! It’s right in the middle of shopping and dining establishments. In walking distance of the areopagus. However the bathroom was SMALL and the sink wasn’t attached to the floor. But the staff was great!

Excellent Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Athens

We started our Greece Honeymoon here at Emporikon Athens Hotel and we had a wonderful stay. Vicky the host helped us get settled and even helped cover our taxi fare when we didn't have cash and the driver's card reader was broken. The location cannot be beat in the center of Plaka. I would highly recommend this hotel for a classic Athens experience.

The Executive suite had such a great view of the Parthenon and the room was a good size. We loved that it was in Monistiraki which is right next to restaurants, bars, etc. Great location for night life and convenience, along with walkable location to the Metro subway. The staff and manager were super accommodating and friendly. We also got free water bottles and drinks to take with us wherever we went.

Check in was great, and the location is amazing with a lot of shopping and dining options around. However, had to move to a different room the second night, as my first room woke me up in the middle of the night with water leaking from the ceiling all around the bed. They couldn’t move me that night as the hotel was full and had to sleep on a cot, which was quite uncomfortable. However, they upgraded me the next day to a suite with an amazing view. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of mosquitoes in the rooms as well.

Loved our stay here!

Our stay was amazing! We stayed in Athens for 2 nights before flying out to the islands for the rest of our honeymoon. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The location was amazing! Walking distance to pretty much everything you’d want to see! Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The best part was the staff! Everyone was so helpful and kind. They helped book transportation for us, gave us a ton of restaurant recommendations, and we’re just overall amazing.

This place was reasonably priced and worth every penny! The area is safe and near all the shops and eateries! You are near the Plaka, Little Kook, and all the places you want to be. Easily walkable to the Acropolis we didn’t need a taxi at all here!

Great staff. They care to make the stay easy. Organized and efficient team.
We needed some ice and I happen to mention someone overheating, they brought it with additional compress to help. The hotel feels like a home ( an apartment in a building), lots of restaurants downstairs, walking distance to the museum and acropolis, plaka, shopping.
Very nice cool design and clean place, central location.excellent staff.

The hotel has such an amazing view of the acropolis. Conveniently located amongst cafes and bars. What stands out are the staff who are amazing. Vicky is well organized and super helpful. Night shift Yalliss (sorry for the bad spelling) carried my bags which were heavy down four flights of stairs and was so kind. An amazing team of hospitality professionals

Hotel was quaint, clean, and our room was spacious. The location was perfect for us, right in the center of all the action! Tons of restaurants, shopping, hop on tours and rooftop decks for Parthenon viewing. We walked to the Parthenon from our hotel. It’s loud and bustling and hard to find in the middle of this popular district. Thankfully, they arranged transfers for us. Wonderful trip!

This was a wonderful small hotel set in a small plaza with dining and shopping close by. The staff was pleasant and answered all of my questions and suggested places for dining and shopping and provided maps of how to get to where I wanted to go. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the plaza-when we had morning coffee on the balcony we saw the Acropolis. Beautiful! The Church of St. Irene was mere feet away. Our room was clean, had a coffeemaker, and there was a cabinet in the hall for guests to take bottled water, fruit, and additional coffee. A fantastic place to stay in Athens!

This is a VERY NICE moderately-priced hotel that my wife and I stayed at for several nights before and after our cruises.
It is a HIDDEN GEM surrounded by cafes and a short walk to the Plaka and other shopping.
The Acropolis is also close by. What made it so special was the WONDERFUL treatment and FRIENDLINESS of the staff.
Dimitra, Vicky and Lia took excellent care of all our needs, offering suggestions on how to improve our stay.
They made all the transportation arrangements for us. The hospitality shown to us was the BEST we can remember at any hotel.
If we ever get to Athens again, here is where we will stay again. We highly recommend the Emporikon Athens Hotel.

There was only drywall on the the shower walls, no tiles! The hand held unit was already detaching from the shower wall. The window trim is in bad need of paint... this place will be a wreck in only a couple of years.

The location is 2nd to none, but you pay for it with the noice at night. Earplugs are required.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emporikon. It is located right in the middle of the action in Athens with cafes located right out front and a short walk to everything in Athens. The room had a classic European feel with high ceilings and great décor. Lia is the best hotel manager who assisted is with multiple requests including taxi to airport at 5am and securing a rental car within 24 hours. The balcony overlooking the square with a view of the Acropolis was great and we enjoyed drinks on the balcony each evening.
