We liked the location and the staff was polite. But there were ants and even a rat in our room. The breakfast area was not cleaned from the night before and there was trash everywhere.

Un seul bon point, jeff qui m'a accueilli et était très serviable
Manque flagrant d'entretien.
Grande chambre, sdb avec sol de la douche en terre et gravier et tapis pour pas se faire mal aux pieds. Le reste du sol en ciment est peint ainsi que le lavabo. Tout est completement écaillé. Pas de télé, pas de minibar, le WiFi ne marchait pas, pas de table ni chaise, sauf dans la cour et dans un etat inutilisable.
Exterieur, rivière saumâtre avec moustiques
Restaurant avec tables en bois et chaises
rudimentaires. Petit déjeuner à 9h00.
Piscine inutilisable sale, trouble et certainement difficile de sortir de la piscine, très haute marche sans rambarde
Et le prix de la chambre etait tres cher pour \"çà\".

I really love the lodge it was very spacy and he really had a very nice time among friends.

Unfortunately, i didn't appreciate the food, wish it could be more but overall i'm satisfied with my stay and might go again there in the near future.

I made booing and they promised to pick me up from airport. Reached airport from Madagascar at 1am, none was there. I took taxi an reached the hotel at 2am. On the way taxi driver told me that he took two guest in the last weeek with booking to this place and could bet get room. He arranged somewhere else. I said, I have paid in full. When we reached it was all dark with light anywhere.taxi driver took me through dark to the hotel and we kept on calling their number with no response. I called hotel.com from there and they also verified. Thus be careful. Not a reliable place to stay. I was so much stressed. Then driver arranged another hotel at night

Relaxing retreat, good location.

We stayed a week at Nativ Lodge with half board (breakfast and dinner). My husband and I in one lodge and my 80 year old mother in another. The individual lodges are surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens with paths winding through it. The lodges have an interesting minimalist decor which we liked and comfortable beds and good air conditioning. No WIFI or TV in the rooms so we relaxed and read books instead which was great. The open plan bar/restaurant area was in a natural setting near the river with geckos and frogs around in the evenings. The decor made use of recycled materials which gave a rustic and creative feel to the place. We enjoyed all our meals and the staff were very attentive. The location is close to the airport and Blue Bay Marine Reserve and next door to the National History Museum. Nativ Lodge is in Mahebourg which is the real Mauritius, not a walled resort, so it's not for everyone, but we liked it. It is simple, relaxing and close to nature. You have to go down a back lane to get there but it's worth it.

A pleasant quiet garden setting by the river. 8 s/c units, al fresco dining. Close to bus routes and staff will arrange friendly taxi service, boat trips etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable. A clone hotel from a chain, its not. Food cooked by 5* chef Jocelyn is excellent

Extra charge for early check out

Had to check out earlier and the hotel charged us extra for that.
We checked in at noon. Because of a private reason we had to check out at 6pm. The reception called his boss and the boss told him to charge us 200MUR we expected that they will refund us the booking.
We found out that they didn't.
Because of that we contacted two times the customer service of hotels.com. They tried to contact the hotel via phone and e-mail. But have not been able to contact them.
I was told that they can't help us. I don't see that as a good customer service.

Tasteful decor doesn't compensate

Location - Nativ lodge is in the outskirts of Mahebourg. Unless you have a car, it is not very convenient. There should be better signage to indicate where it is.

Room - Spacious and very well designed to a modern style. The bathroom was a bit damp. We also had problems with little creatures as there is a big gap underneath the main door that allows their freedom of movement. There wasn't a TV or air conditioning.

Staff - Generally helpful.

Dinner - Was simple but tastey. Just as well, since there isn't much nearby! Not sure why the bar had spirits but no beer...

Best vacation ever: 12 days weren`t enough!

Great for nature lovers and if you want to have a real Mauritian experience.

They have a pretty convenient early check-in. We were picked-up at 7am and they offered us breakfast in that moment. Also they have a late check-out, so we could enjoy our last dinner without hurry. The owners are charming and treated us like family, helping us in everything we needed to make our stay more pleasant. Also the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. We chose the half-board plan and worth it. Ask for Ricardo`s cocktail, and maybe you`re lucky to try his speciality: \"oeufs rôties\". Virginie prepares delicious omelettes.

My parents had a nice experience too. We were neighbours. The rooms are so well isolated, you don`t hear a noise inside.

There is a big supermarket not very far away, where you can buy shampoo, etc. And the most important: the best beach (Blue Bay). Ask for COCO to do the glass bottom boat; very nice guy.

Even if you`re planning to go these days -while the spa isn´t prepared yet-, you can enjoy your own mini pool with running water at one of the prestige rooms. I loved the detail of the beach towels and you have a couple of comfortable deck chairs.

Nicolas, special thanks to you. Cliff, you`re awesome. Joelle and the girls, so sympa you all... Can`t wait to go back!

P.S. You don`t need a safe box; Mauritians are good karma people.
Don`t worry about the ants. And even the dog is friendly!

Great location, great staff, great price.

We Stayed here for 4 days and it was incredible. The setting is idyllic, calm and beautiful. Seeming detached from the world yet a step out of the drive and you are in the midst of Mahebourg. A free kayak journey, provided by the hotel, will bring you out in the scenic waterfront framed by mountains and blue seas.

Room was Spacious and Comfortable. Both the living/sleeping area and the bathroom were impeccably clean. It has a beautiful view of the surrounding woods and mountain.

Staff were polite and incredibly helpful. The owner is very welcoming and will do his utmost to ensure your stay is as satisfying as possible, from recommendations of things to do to arranging excursions for you.

Food was local cuisine and beautiful in both taste and presentation.

We would recommend this place highly if you are looking for an amazing place to stay with great staff but also would like a chance to witness the multi-cultural nature of the island.

Importante saber que é um local é simples. A rua de entrada é sem saída e bem estreita, chegar a noite é um pouco assustador. Nicolas foi super gentil e solicito, mas não parece um hotel, parece mais que estamos na casa de alguém. O quarto estava com cheiro de mofo, havia lagartixa morta e um coco de animal na pia, algumas janelas não trancavam para a noite. Os funcionários foram gentis. Tem uma quantidade enorme de mosquitos, muitos mesmo! O local fica em meio a uma mata. Apesar de tudo se você planeja passar apenas uma noite rápida (como fizemos) eu recomendo sim pois tem um ótimo custo-benefício para a região.

Un joli endroit dépaysant en pleine nature mais très éloigné de tout. L'accueil et le ménage ont été faits de manière très expéditive à mon arrivée et il y a un gros manque de disponibilité durant le séjour. J'ai eu un souci dans le lodge et je n'ai pu contacter personne.
Le gros point positif est le petit déjeuner copieux et excellent et la gentillesse du personnel.

Da vi ankom til stedet blev vi anvist vores værelse. Der var karkelakker, som af personalet blot blev sparket ud på terrassen, da de blev påpeget af os. I ekstrasengen, til vores datter, var der dyreeskrementer. Også dette måtte vi selv påpege. Sengetøjet var beskidt og guldnet. Vi havde bestilt værelse med egen pool, som var møgbeskidt. Den store fællespool var i samme stand. Værelset var fyldt med myg, og eftersom der kunne komme dyr ind flere steder, ville det forblive sådan. Det var ikke myggenet ved sengene. Vi valgte at checke ud efter et par timer, der skulle vi ikke være.

Bad value. Overprized for What you get.

The stay was very dissapointing! Really Poor breakfast, even though the hotel in the booking posted “GOOD Breakfast”, It was small chunks of white dried bread, and jam and a bad Coffee. The worst breakfast ever! The matress in the room was really bad. We could feel the springs in the bed. And there was cockroaches in the bathroom.
Good things: The staff was very friendly and there was hot water.

Les chambres étaient très propres, la nourriture qualitative
Le choix de pouvoir faire du kayak sur la rivière, et le fish spa, c’était vraiment sympa et original !
2 chiens adorables qui sont là aussi pour nous ça accueillir !
Juste une petite chose : planter de la citronnelle autours des piscines privées, parce qu’on se fait DÉVORER par les moustiques dehors, et c’est bien dommage de pas profiter du cadre ..

Die Unterkunft ist ungepflegt und unsauber. Das Essen ist nur Mittelmaß und viel zu teuer. Beim Bungalow und innen drin sind Mäuse!! Nachts ist kein Personal auf den Gelände. Grundsätzlich wäre die Anlage schön, es müsste viel mehr getan werden. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier, da sich das Hotel in Flughafen-Nähe befindet.

Das Hotel entspricht zwar grundsätzlich den Bildern, allerdings ist alles ziemlich abgewohnt. Man merkt schnell, dass alles irgendwie selbst zusammengeschustert wurde.
Die Reinigung ließ an der einen oder anderen Stelle zu wünschen übrig. Nicht besonders schön fand ich das Bett, bei dem ich mir ehrlich gesagt nicht sicher war, ob es frisch überzogen war.

Das Personal bzw. die Eigentümer waren bei unserem Check In nicht da, aber Freunde von Ihnen haben uns kurz und knapp etwas zum Hotel erzählt und uns den Schlüssel übergeben.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass uns aufgrund unseres sehr frühen Rückfluges am nächsten Tag ausnahmsweise bereits um 5:30 Uhr von einem sehr netten Einheimischen Frühstück zubereitet wurde. Das war wirklich super!

Chambres rustiques avec équipement minimum : un grand lit + un petit, 2 tables de chevet, un \"banc\", une penderie. Pas de rangement fermé. Draps propres mais avec des taches.
Salle de bain rustique également, avec douche \"à l'italienne\" (qui coule partout), WC et lavabo avec 2 mitigeurs. Une seule serviette par personne (pas pratique pour les cheveux, la piscine ou la plage), toutes dépareillées.
Petit déjeuner sympa mais ce n'est pas un buffet. Il faut demander le jus de fruit.
Pas l'idéal avec un bébé à mon avis.
C'est plus un 2 qu'un 3 étoiles.

Danger : présence de rat et serpents dans le Lodge

Horrible ! Fuyez ! Nous étions seuls la nuit (avec une petite) pas de personnel (imagine s il nous était arrive qqch ! Pas de numéro à joindre) Insomnie présence de rat et couleuvre dans la chambre (merci à jean clément le cuisinier et homme a tout faire (qui travaille tous les jours sans repos) pour avoir achete au bout de 3 jours un piège a rat et attrape le serpent). Un soir à 20h on frappe à notre Lodge 3 pers en panique cherche le personnel (qui ne trouvèrent pas puisque pas présent) pour les guider vers leur Lodge. heureusement pour eux on connaissait le lieu de rangement des clés des lodges sinon ils dormaient dehors (pb lit pas fait pas de serviettes). Linge jamais change en 10 jours. Odeur d humidité dans tous les lodges (on les a tous visite puisqu on cherche un Lodge propre pour les 3 pers.) et à notre retour en fin de journée.

Nous avons découvert un véritable Havre de Paix, répondant parfaitement à nos attentes. Situé en plein coeur de la petite ville de Mahébourg, loin des grands hôtels et des sites touristiques et avons pu nous imprégner de la vraie vie des mauriciens.
Nicholas, heureux et humble propriétaire, et son équipe a su nous combler par son concept nature, authentique et propose des prestations d'un bon rapport qualité prix, dignes de vous, si tant est que vous les attendiez. Les repas étaient délicieux, le service \"familial\". Nous avons apprécié l'immersion dans la vie locale.
Si vous recherchez le style de vacances \" tapis rouge ou bling bling\" passez votre chemin, ça évitera les mauvaises critiques, non justifiées. Si vous ne voulez pas de moustiques ou de petits margouillas inoffensifs, choisissez des hôtels aseptisés ou changez votre destination ! A chacun de choisir son lieu de vacances en fonction de son état d'esprit. Nous recommandons pleinement !!!!!!!!!

Beautiful, quiet lodge close to the airport

I needed a place close to the airport to rest one night. Nativ Lodge provides breakfast and a very filling Mauritian dinner and free wifi in the lobby. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful.

The lodge is located at the end of a street, quiet and the view to the river is gorgeaus. It's a few bus stops from Mahebourg and just a few minutes walk from the museum. It's a good base of operations for a more mobile trip or a good place to stay close to the airport at a lower cost than the super-clean luxury resorts at the beach.

séjour de tranquillité

un séjour pour fêter notre anniversaire de mariage.
c'était tranquille, la chambre la déco était bien ce coté nature, l'espace dans la chambre, plutôt des lodges;
Y n'y avait pas d'intention des maîtres pour notre anniversaire, aucun geste d'attention pour notre anniversaire de mariage et de plus c’était l'anniversaire de mon mari ; de plus qu'on les avaient souligner par email et au téléphone.Ce qui était pour moi dommage....
Les nuits ont étaient très reposante, calme. les repas ça va....
les petite déjeuner était récurent , mais bon ça va...
je repartirais en famille, pour le calme.

Bon rapport-qualité prix proche

Je suis resté dans cet hôtel en transit de 24h entre deux vols. C'est un hôtel très calme avec un très bon accueille. Possibilité de balade en kayak sur une petite rivière. Le village de Mahebourgh et a distance raisonnable à pieds. Seul petit \"bémol\", pas de wifi dans les chambres et pas de télévision. Donc un peu triste quand on est seul ou bloqué par la pluie. Par contre j'ai apprécié que le propriétaire ait accepté que je quitte la chambre en début de soirée pour mon vol sans payer de supplément.
Mahebourgh n'est pas très intéressant sur le plan touristique. Plage la plus proche Bluebay

Nous avons passé une nuit dans un petit lodge bien sympathique, le site est très chouette. En revanche, l'accueil un peu coincé, le lendemain ça se rattrape bien. Niveau demie-pension le petit déjeuner est pas mal mais le repas demie-pension du soir vraiment mauvais. Nous avons uniquement mangé la salade au surimi imbibée de vinaigrette de l'entrée. Le plat principal bien que généreux était vraiment très spécial \"pâte à la milanaise au poulet\" une espèce de sauce très épaisse à la peau de poulet desséché froid au centre.

Hôtel sympathique et reposant sans demie-pension.

Это ужас!!!

Это просто ужас!!! То что названо здесь отелем расположено на окраине местных трущеб, без ограждения, охраны и выглядит как сараи посреди кустов. Ни в коем случае не останавливайтесь там!!! Даже местный таксист увидев это был в ужасе и предложил перевезти нас в другой отель.
