The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and the beds were comfortable.
The food was fine although by our 5th day we had become a little bored of the choices.
The pools were nice and there were plenty of sunbeds and none of this \"grabbing a sunbed before dawn\" nonsense.

Everything was perfect except the check out. The staff seemed quitecrudecand affronted that we asked fir a late check out.
We asked prior to our checkout as we have 2 children under 2 and were told to ask on the day. When I asked that morning, the staff (different from the rest of the week) seemed surprised that i would ask such a thing and were disinterested and told us flatly no, but we could get showered and changed up by the soa area. This would have been ok, but with 2 infants and our luggage packed and kept by reception this made it laborious and to be honest left a sour memory, which is a shame as the rest of the staff throughout the week were perfect.

The only other thing was that we were put in a room downstairs, this again was difficult with a buggy and 2x infants.

We loved our stay here, we had a junior suit on the corner, the view was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Although some parts of the room were showing a bit of age it was very clean.
Staff were mostly very friendly although we did come across one waiter and bar staff who were slightly rude. The rest of the staff made up for this massively.
The pool is nice and always had plenty of beds available. Although it was cold it was appreciated in the heat. The pool entertainment was always fun.
The spa is lovely we were lucky to get a free entry with the tour and really enjoyed the pools.
Food was good, we enjoyed the different themed nights, im a fussy eater and always found something to eat.
Entertainment was a lot of fun however we did notice the different performers played the same songs, we guessed they are trying to appeal to an older audience.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would come again.

We had a really nice stay! The staff were wonderful they went out of their way to accommodate our last-minute request for a room close to our friends, which we truly appreciated. The location is great, about a 1.5 km walk to the beach, so it’s easy to get out and explore.

The food was okay overall. As a vegetarian, breakfast was a bit hit and miss, but there were still some good options to make it work. Recommend renting a car to eat out! The gym was decent a bit hot and quite busy, and the rower wasn’t working during our stay but they did a great job keeping fresh towels and water available.

Overall, a pleasant experience and we’d happily return!

In total there were 15 of us staying in various locations. My stay in Gloria Palace was excellent , staff were most friendly, cleanliness was perfect, rooms all have sea views & are most spacious.
I had only one complaint, my main course meal,which was duck, was inedible. I was unable to eat it as it was tough. I told my waitress but nothing was done ! So I again mentioned at reception & was told by the gentleman that he would ask his boss. When I was checking out I again asked & was told that nothing could be done!!! Such a pity that it wasnt dealt with correctly.

The facilities are great, pool not overcrowded and communal areas kept clean and nice.
The staff is amazing, special shout out to Rita Suares in the restaurant, she was the kindest.
The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of the 5, the food is decent, but not amazing. I love Spain and Spanish food, which I felt was lacking.

Ha sido una sorpresa muy grata. El hotel, aunque es uno de los pioneros en la isla de gran Canaria, se mantiene en un estado magnifico. Los buffets son variado y de una calidad fantástica, con zonas que cocinan pescado y carne al momento. Las habitaciones amplias y confortables. Fuimos con nuestra perrita y son uno de los pocos establecimientos que son pet friendly. Volveremos sin duda.

We stayed here for a week and will definitely come back. It is a fantastic hotel, the room was a great size, modern with everything we needed for a great stay. We only had breakfast which was good with quite a good variety/selection. The area the hotel is (San Augustin) is quite quiet but nice approx 5 min walk from lovely beach and approx 30 mins walk away from Playa de Ingles. The swimming pools in the hotel are lovely and if travelling with kids there is a child friendly pool complete with slide !! Overall we are really pleased with our stay, will definitely come back again and highly recommend to others.

The room was superb, very nice, and bed comfortable. Far from resort centre however easily reachable by bus. The big Negative for me was the food, the evening buffet was almost all Cold (despite that it is supposed to be hot). I did not eat particularly late in the sitting so it must have been even colder later on. The breakfast was warmer however food options not great. For a resort hotel outside of the town centre, where dining options are limited, the food should be better

All staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. It's a large hotel with plenty of facilities and entertainment. No shortage of seating at the buffet restaurant for breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable with a useful mini fridge. Nice balcony area in each room. Sound proofing could have been better, light could be seen coming in around the door edges so sound also got in easily which meant that you could hear other guests passing in the corridor. On the other side, the entertainment sometimes went on late (1am) and if your room was nearby, you could be disturbed. Staff were very helpful in moving us further away which helps that problem. The breakfast buffet had a very wide choice including freshly cooked eggs, bacon, pancakes and was of high quality. The Gorbea restaurant in 9th floor have a nicer quieter ambience with a wonderful view to the sea. The food there was exquisite and not exorbitantly priced. There was a good variety of entertainment throughout the day with games, pool activities during the day and musical acts in the evening. Our one major suggestion would be to have more clearly defined outdoor smoking and non smoking areas. We were occasionally disturbed by cigarette smoke on the sun deck and even on our balcony by people smoking nearby.

Remodeling big swimming pool on time my daughter vacation in it. I complain about it to front desk, but one resolution was move her to 9 floor room. I m not recommend this place for my friends. Noise with this project not let my daughter full relax and I don’t know that was good my investment

The food was terrible, every meal was below average for what we paid. The rooms were not clean properly even after we complained. I got food poisoning for 2 days after eating the seafood in the hotel restaurant. Lost 2 days of my holoday being sick due to this. The Table tennis rackets were all broken, loose tiles aroind the pool, broken lights around the property. The entertainment was bad too. I would not stay here again.

Amazing stay , large comfortable room. Hotel was very clean. Parking was easy, plenty of street parking if the hotel parking is full. Breakfast and dinner was really good standard with plenty of options everyday.

Things to improve :
Gym needs updating, and would be nice if the hours are more flexible ( it was open from 7am - 9 pm)

The hotel facilities are good, but many are not available for under sixteens. The pool area can get crowded. But overall the hotel was good. The staff were polite and attentive.

Couldn’t really fault the hotel. I had the most amazing time as a solo traveller. My room was really spacious and had everything you could need. My hairdryer was broken but fixed within a few hours of drawing attention to it. The entertainment team were great for the daily activities, the water aerobics were difficult as the pool was too deep though. Food was good, lots of choice and the staff were friendly and efficient.
If I could pick anything for improvement it would be to replenish the milk and coffee in the room as I ran out and to better advertise what entertainment was on during the day and evening and where. I missed all the yoga and stretching as didn’t realise it was on until the last day and only realised there was daytime activities from being in the right place at the right time.

Overall the hotel and facilities were ok. I noticed a dried up contact lense on the bathroom floor from the previous occupant, so cleaning could have been better.
I paid for my stay on arrival and was asked again to pay when leaving. Upon informing them I had paid and showing them the bank transaction I was treated rather rudley with no one seeming to believe me despite the clear proof. This was clearly a mistake they had made and rather than an appolgy and thanking me for my stay they simply informed me I could leave. Reception staff could work on their manners. Ruined what was othwise an alright time.

Had to chsnge room on arrival as there were bedbugs on the bed, new room wasnt cleaned properly had to get the cleamers to clean the room twice beofre it was actually cleaned to a normal standard. Hotel is dateed and tired, staff were friendly and helpful.

At best it is a 3-star hotel, Room size and cleanliness are acceptable. The biggest letdown is the services that they can offer as standard, and it comes down to a single table tennis table for which you can obtain rackets by paying a deposit. Otherwise, everything else is extra and it does not matter if it is all-inclusive or not.
I think the Thallaso bit is oversold or missold at best on the actual Expedia page, as it is not included and it is not worth 35£ for 2 hrs. Some of the council-run leisure centers have better facilities and they need to reconsider the decision on charging for that section of the stay.
The heated Pool at the 9th floor is really small and it is again a paid facility, I really struggle to understand the rating on Expedia and it is worth reconsidering.

Good restaurants in the shopping centre nearby if you didn't want to eat in the hotel all inclusive.
The included breakfast was a bonus and set you up for the day and the rooftop bar restaurant and sun lounging area is a must.
Takeaway wasn't allowed from the hotel snack bar as the hotel preferred you to pay for room service which was a shame.

Besökte hotellet i en vecka. Inför resan tog jag kontakt x flera via mail för transfer men det var svårt att få svar. Så när vi landat visste vi inte om transfern skulle komma. Det visade sig att den var där men fick aldrig bekräftelse via mail. För att ta sig till och från hotellet går även flygbussar samt taxi, taxin kostar ungefär lika mycket som en transfer. Rummen var rena och välstädade, lagom mjuk säng så man sov gott. Varje kväll hade de underhållning, olika som sjöng samt uppträdde. Dock var ljudet ganska högt till sent på kvällen vid 23-00, även om dörren till balkongen var stängd. Frukostbuffén var fantastisk med stort utbud av allt du kan tänka dig; färsk frukt, fil/yoghurt, flingor, bröd, skarketurier, ostar, pannkakor, omelett som de gör på stekbord med det du vill ha i, toast på stekbord, juice och kaffe, m.m. För lunch och middag skulle jag rekommendera att gå ner till centrum som ligger några hundra meter ner för en backe, god mat på flertalet av resturangerna samt mycket bättre priser än hotellets restauranger. Poolen vid hotellet var ren och lite kall, hade gärna fått vara några grader varmare, men går bra att bada i. Finns även en fin barnpool med rutschkanor, även den ren och fin. Närmaste stranden ligger strax nedanför centrum, vinden ligger in mot stranden så blåsigt men fin strand, finns att man kan få solstol som är vindskyddad mot avgift om man vill, många lägger ner sina handukar gratis vid sidan. Härliga vågor blir det från havet när det blåser in.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Indoor pool is not included and costs 36€pp for 1 hour. Rooftop pool is not included, costs 8€ for one day. Rooms were dirty, insects in bathroom, and gave us dirty stained towels. We had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door, yet our room was still cleaned which is a major invasion of privacy. Food is the worst i’ve ever had (avoid at all costs), and entertainment is so loud and goes on until midnight. The pool that was included was dirty and had dirt floating around in it constantly. The only good thing was the location.

Stayed here about 5 years ago & have to say standards have slipped. Even though evening dress code says long trousers for men there is no one at the restaurant entrance as before to enforce hence men coming in for the evening meal in cut out Tee shirts, shorts & flip flops. Also the food has slipped to average many times only being warm hence having to use the microwave they supplied.The room was clean but tea & coffee replenishment was hit & miss each day. We stayed the previous two weeks before at the Gloria Palace Amadores which was a much better choice,classed as 4* but with tweeks could be 5* whereas the Gloria Palace San Agustin I would rate a high 3*. The management would help themselves a lot by spending a week at the Gloria Palace Amadores & seeing how it's run.

Clean and modern rooms, the bathroom was particularly good with nice modern fittings.
Great design of the hotel to have separate part of the hotel for family rooms
Pools were great, large and deep with a walk-down slope for those less experienced.
However, there didn't seem to be any enforcement of the hotel's rule about not using towels to reserve (hog) sun loungers!
The quality of the evening live entertainment was variable...one of the acts (a large chap, he was a singer who had the 'Macarena' in his repertoire) was v good, as was the acrobats. However some of the other acts (other singers) were a bit dull. All of them sang to pre-recorded music, bit disappointing, would have been good to have a live piano or guitar or something,

Lovely stay at Gloria Palace

Had a really enjoyable stay at the Gloria Palace Hotel. Lovely sea view rooms that overlooked the pools. Comfortable beds and room cleaned well. Clean towels provided and bottled water replenished daily. Really useful to have a fridge in our room. Paid a refundable deposit of €10 each for pool towels, useful as I forgot to pack ours. Staff were all helpful. Good choice of buffet food at mealtimes and selection of hot freshly cooked food. The international food section changed each night. Lovely 9th floor adults only area with pool that you could use, sun loungers and beds there were chargeable and that restaurant also. Pools were a little chilly but plenty of sun loungers and beds. All in all an enjoyable stay.

Hotel rooms were absolutely immaculate and very modern, indoor pool and spa was shut (no one told us) and the food was very very poor, cold, dry! Ended up eating out even though we paid for evening meals! Breakfast was edible, lunch was same, but evening was the worst!

Nice hotel with room options for families. The only downside was that the bedroom overlooked a staff parking/delivery place for the hotel and starting from 7:30am there was a lot of noise (and I like to sleep with an open window).

Very average four star hotel

Hotel is at the lower end of the four-star range and during our stay it was mainly German people staying and this was reflected in the food choices. The pools are not heated and weren’t particularly clean. Bar and restaurant drinks were quite expensive but the roof top bar is very nice with spectacular views. Bizarrely the shuffleboard equipment was locked away and only available for one hour per day and supervised by hotel staff ? The bus service to Maspalomas and Playa del Ingles will arrive any time within 20 minutes of the scheduled timetable.

First off: Thalassotherapy Center is closed till July 1, 2020. Expedia has no info about it and you need to navigate hotel website to find about it. This major chosing point

Overall enjoyed our stay agaimn and looking forward to going back in April.
The only negative was the allowing of guests to reserve sunbeds on the level up from the pool this created an unsavory incident with the pool attendant with receeding hair who approached my wife in an aggressive manner when due to no beds she turned the beds down the steps towards the hotel to face the sun which he was unhappy about, totally unprofessional and he was very lucky i wasn't present. We reported to Alberto the manager who said he would speak with him but we heard nothing back.

The hotel is generally well run and is quite impressive. Facilities and pool areas are very nice. Food is slightly disappointing. Although there was always something decent to eat, the choice wasn’t always that great. A very limited range of mostly boring sweets was a bit disappointing.
Also, the hotel is up a fairly steep hill. On the plus side, transportation was very good with a number of buses and a taxi rank very close by.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, very relaxed with some beautiful details. Walk in to a beautiful atrium with a waterfall and foliage and greeted with champagne and juice for the kids. We stayed in a family room which was larger than average with two seperate rooms and a nice balcony. The staff were lovely and it had a very chilled vibe, even the kids mini disco was mellow (although very good). They had lots of activities and the kids club was great with loads on leading up to halloween. Drinks were all branded and they did gorgeous cocktails, although i understand you had to pay extra for a good wine. Food was really good, with a grill, a themed area, a salad bar and basic foods if you were fussy.

The only negative was that we arrived an hour early on our first day and they said to go on to lunch whilst waiting for our room (all inclusive), but on the last day as soon as we checked out they said we had to pay for all food and drinks as we'dchecked in early. We had no idea in advance, so we had two cross kids who had to hang around for a few hours for the bus without lunch as we didnt have time to go exploring to find somewhere cheaper as it was £15pp . An ok price if youre expecting it but not when you've just paid for All Inclusive and its not yet payday

The property is nice however, for a 4* hotel it’s quite annoying to find that simple things are not included. It seems they function by making you pay for all additional extras from beach towels to using beach beds on the top floor of the hotel. Even to use the safe you have to pay, which I don’t mind doing in the more basic hotels but when you pay extra for a nicer hotel you’d think the little touches would be included.

I’ve stayed in 3* resorts which have a more personal touch and leave beach bags with towels e.t.c

The rooms were also not kept as well, I had a wine glass which had not been taken down for a few days and left a dirty cloth in the room and the complimentary water bottles hadn’t been switched out.

Usually I would pick up on the little things as sometimes these things can happen but as a collection it painted a picture of the type of service.

They also all seem to become super nice and extra clean ahead of the review day (Tuesdays).

Also the spa was out of service even though there were pictures and listed under facilities - except only afterwards (once we arrived and double checked to make sure I wasn’t going crazy) did I spot the small mention of it on the page. This was very misleading as I filtered my search by spa so assumed I wouldn’t need to double check and it would be natural to assume its available given pictures were displayed along with it being listed as a key feature.

The entertainment was also very repetitive and not engaging

Staff are friendly and the place is overall pretty clean. I think they need to expand their fitness equipment and the air conditioning is usually weak (stayed here about 4 times)

Property, staff, events and location was great. I would definitely go again. One disappointing factor was that spa facility was closed for renovation, did not state this anywhere prior to booking. Food seemed a little bit simple, it would have been nice to get more Spanish cuisine with more sea food but overall it was satisfying.

We enjoyed our stay. Staff wonderful, food excellent though lots of pork and fish. Beautiful swimming pool. We did not use the roof terrace but it has spectacular views. Plenty of sunbeds all the time so no rush in the mornings. The hotel was very clean and we would definitely recommend. The animation team work hard and there are plenty of activities during the day. The only slight issue was the evening entertainment could be better. There were 2 nights of Flamenco dancing and 2 nights of magicians which did the same corny tricks. The singing acts were very good but the backing music could be louder. We also found the performances were ruined by out of control children running and screaming around on the floor and stage while the acts were performing. They also sat on the stage which blocked the view from some tables. As parents seem to have no control of their children, perhaps the hotel could be more strict and tell the parents via announcements and signs not to let their children spoil the entertainment for others. Summing up, we loved the hotel and staff but probably would not return due to it being a little isolated at the top of a hill with not much to walk to outside.

Is really lovely place to stay. Lots of activities for children's and adults. Very nice rooms and good service. In the Restaurant plenty choice of food. Highly recommending.
