First room we had to move because of bad smell in bathroom. Also noise from motorway was really loud & no sun on balcony at all. Second room overlooking street was fabulous, sun all day. Both rooms were kept really clean. Breakfast was great. Couldn’t get a sunbed at all in 9 days we were there so never used pool. Also never stayed for even g entertainment.

The room was great. Everything was fine and perfect for a solo traveler. I only have two critiques:

One: When it rains (which it did rain briefly for multiple days during my stay), the water can drain onto either the handrail or stairs inside the building. This seems like a hazard.

Two: I got breakfast included in my stay, which was pretty good; there were plenty of options. For breakfast, they put on my wrist a purple wristband that I couldn't remove without cutting. This wristband ended up being in several pictures I took during my stay because it was hard to conceal. However, no one ever checked my wristband. There wasn't someone guarding the entrance to the cafeteria checking if you could eat meals there or not. So now I have tacky wristband in all these pictures as the result of a half-hearted security measure.

Overall good hotel and location. A few minor niggles, cracked and loose tiles on every level in building 3 ( stayed on the fourth floor and used stairs everyday) also automatic sensor lights on top floor didn’t come on at night when entering the corridor but did on every other floor.
Breakfast really busy at peak times but can easily be avoided by going early which we would recommend.
Good efficient and friendly staff across the board. Would stay here again.

Loved it. Pictures are the same as on website.spacious rooms. Staff very helpful. Clean overall. Entertainment every night.
Had a spa afternoon at the nother labranda marieta with discount. Staff there are lovely too.
We did all inclusive - loved the selection of food and drinks. Cocktails shots etc..
Market is local, pleanty shops ans bars around the hotels.
Sandy beach 5 mins walk.
€3.50 by bus 66 or 90 from airport, only 30 mins, beautiful scenary whilst on bus of the blue sea and sand.
Highly recc.

We had a lovely stay here.
There was lots of choice of food, but for the evenings there wasn’t much choice for vegetarian's and sometimes the labelling of food wasn’t great so couldn’t tell if it had meat or not (this was mainly on the tapas and salad side).
The pool area is really lovely and it is a short walk to the beach.

We love the staff as everyone was so lovely and nice.
The room was spacious for a family but it needs a bit of renovation to meet the 4 stars. The bathroom as well was old and the door was damaged from the water.
The food was good with a lot of variety. For Christmas and New Year’s Even there was a special dinner that we enjoyed.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach. The hotel is a bit tatty starting from the reception which is nowhere 4 stars. Tv has 2-3 English speaking channels, sky news, cnn and France 24, so if you are not interested in news then you will have to watch tv in Spanish or German. The subtitle option on the remote does not work. In five days we had cockroaches in the room every single day and this was on the top floor. Once the light is off they are there, so we ended up sleeping with the lights on. Complained about this at the reception several times, someone came with the spay (I can still smell it after leaving the hotel) but it didn’t help. Cockroaches came back on the very next day. The food is ok, a bit repetitive but again, the restaurant was full of flies which just walked on the food, e.g bread, desserts… The ladies at the reception were very friendly but I guess the can only do things that is within their remit. The cleaning lady was very good.

Restaurant is like a school canteen, queues for food, the same type of food for a week. All inclusive drinks taste not good. Entertainment is Ok for both kids and adults. Not far from the beach.

We just checked out of this hotel this morning. Overall I would say we will not return, having been coming to Gran Canaria for 12+ years and trying new hotels. It was not worth the nearly 300 euro we paid for 2 nights. The hotel itself is definitely not 4 stars.

Our room was in building 1 on the ground floor, and has a smell of sewage 80% of the time. When we checked in, there were dead bugs on the floor. The toilet lock is broken off, and the back door is hard to open and close, looks like it is damaged.

The food was ok, pretty typical for all inclusive, nothing was delicious from the food. It was pretty bland. There was not a great selection of food for children.

The worst thing about the hotel is the sunbed situation. When we checked in I was happy to see a sunbed policy, whereby you cannot leave your towel on a bed and leave for more than 60 minutes or it will be removed. This however, was not in effect. On Saturday we went to breakfast at 8 am and 95% of the beds had towels on. When we were ready to go to the pool at around 10am, there were no beds left, however all of the beds were still empty but with towels on them. There were no beds left, and a pregnant lady gave up her bed to a lady in a wheelchair. When I asked for a bed a kind worker got us two which were positioned at the back which was fine.

The staff seemed very hard working and happy to help you with anything. Any staff members I talked to were friendly and kind

Good Value for money
Location- near the beach, transportation and shops. Hotel also calls taxi which arrives very quickly.
Inclusive buffet- good value for money and lots of variety. Food is well seasoned and restaurant is constantly cleaned.
Staff- friendly, warm and helpful.
We did go in august therefore it was very busy but it did exceed my expectations and I would go there again. They also offer complimentary access to a local spa for sauna, pool and steamer which was great. We paid for a massage separately which was again great. Fab stay.

Not a 4star property. The food was poor occasionally average and regularly cold, people were putting their food in the microwave to warm it up. The chefs idea of a varied menu was to see how many different ways he could Cook pork. Both bars were outdoor not ideal on a chilly evening, and closed at 11pm. The animation team worked hard day and night to keep people entertained but the professional entertainment was limited to 30 minutes a night. The advertised bath robes were not provided and the bathroom was in need of much TLC. The pool area was poor with insufficient sun umbrellas and many of the ones that were there were faulty, the loungers were dirty and the surrounding areas had many cracked and loose tiles,in addition to which the paint in the pool was flaking off. the only good point were the room being clean and the staff who were attentive and very hard working

La la la la labranda!

For a mid-priced, no thrills complex in Gran Canaria this was a good choice. Spacious and clean room, daily housekeeping, reasonable pool, decent food and drinks (worth going all inclusive) - (I avoided the boiled eggs at breakfast after the first encounter) but the rest was fresh and good quality. Staff were always really helpful and friendly.
My only criticism is of some of the other guests. It’s a cliche but, a number of German guests must have gotten up at 6am to put towels on the sun loungers by the pool and then just left them all day. So the loungers around the pool are empty all day and everyone sits further back.

Lovely Getaway for Winter

I really enjoyed my stay at Playa Bonita. Not as close to Yumbo as others but only a 20 min walk or a quick (and cheap ~€3-5) 5 min taxi. Perfect place to relax and chill in the sunshine. Staff always happy to help.

Very disappointed in this hotel. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling which midway through they tried to put right by painting. All this achieved is a hole in the ceiling that water dripped out of. Generally the maintenance of the hotel was poor with several holes in the walls. The beds were hard and made lots of noise when you moved. The staff by the pool were friendly and the food was ok

The staff were so friendly and attentive. My mother is quite old and the staff were so kind and thoughtful. They were professional but at the same down-to-earth. The pool was beautiful and warm and the food in the restaurant on the all-inclusive was excellent. We both loved everything about this hotel. The hotel was very clean and they were very COVID conscious and ensured that people were wearing masks and using the sprays.

Upon arriving to the property I was told that hotel is overbooked. They send me to another hotel: Occidental Margaritas, San Bartolome de Tirajana. So things are happen and I have no choice, but take there proposition. Maybe because I booked only 1 night. I got all inclusive 1 bedroom apartment with good view from the balcony. This resort style hotel has a lot of amenities and free shuttle to the beach. Food is good and staff is friendly.

Hotel was well located near bars, shopping and bus station. Large, comfortable room, TV had several UK channels. Balcony small, with poor outlook and large palm tree right in front so no sun. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All inclusive and excellent value for money. Food was good but some items (particularly potatoes of various types) were warm rather than hot. Nice pool area and water was warm enough for swimming. Animation staff were very enthusiastic and worked hard. Struggled to get good wifi signal on both my phone and tablet and this a definite area for improvement.

Short Break at Labranda Hotel Playa Bonita

I stayed for one day at the end of a short break in Gran Canaria in November. The hotel consists of four rotundas and a central restaurant and reception. There are lifts to the upper floors and bus stops nearby to other parts of the island and it is approximately a twenty minutes walk to the Yumbo centre where there are shops, restaurants and bars a-plenty. There is a heated swimming pool and plenty of sun beds to enjoy the favorable Canaries climate and each room has a balcony and bathroom with walk-in shower. I had an all inclusive option and the food was varied and had healthy and more traditional options. No need to go hungry unless you're very fussy. There was wine, beers and soda to choose from op-tap. You can pay extra for better quality wines but the prices didn't seem extortionate. Apparently there is some evening entertainment although I didn't stay around for that. The clientele was quite mixed with gay and straight couples, small families and retired people. The atmosphere was relaxed and un-hurried. The large rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained and I couldn't fault the customer service of the attentive multi-lingual staff. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Could not fault the hotel staff and facilities at all. All staff very friendly and helpful. Food was Good, always fresh food being replenished. Entertainment was ok . Only downside is hotel is located next to a busy road but soon get used to it and certainly would not put me off staying at this hotel again.

The hotel was clean and well furnished. The beds were very hard. I asked to be in a room on the pool side and not by the road but this request was ignored. It is a busy highway and the traffic noise could be heard in the room and whilst on the sun loungers in the pool area which did not make for a relaxing time. The reception staff were unfriendly and rude. The food was nice and varied but sometimes not hot. The restaurant had a dress code policy but this is not communicated to customers and therefore not adhered to so when on an odd occasion a member of staff said something there were many other diners wearing exactly the same so it just caused offence. Fridge could be hired as extra as not in room but they did not tell you that all electric goes off with key card so fridge was off all day anyway and milk etc. went off.

Hotel itself is very clean and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately the reception staff were unhelpful and rude whenever we asked for help. The pool are is lovely but the biggest disappointment is the fact that the hotel is located next to a main road so the whole experience of relaxing next to the pool was spoilt by the traffic noise!

Good location and value for money

Stayed four nights on a winter break. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel given the price we paid. Good location for the local nightlife, but also easy to get on the main road out of town to other locations. Room was spacious, good bathroom, everything clean and no problems at all. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed on a half board basis. Breakfast was excellent, good quality and a wide choice. Orange juice was watered down as usual!! Evening meal was again a wide choice, but quality a bit variable. Excellent value for money on the whole, though. Main gripe here was the need to pay two Euros for a coffee and, even worse, the same for a glass of the disgusting orange juice. So unnecessary given you could drink gallons of either at breakfast for free.

Good large swimming pool and nice grounds. Sampled the evening entertainment but didn't stay too long! The many elderly Germans seemed to enjoy it, however.

Beware of the car parking - you have two choices. Either pay 8 Euros a night to park in the hotel's half empty car park, or park on the road. I was told you need to get a ticket from the meter (even if it doesn't cover the time you're parked), but good luck finding a meter that works!!

Overall, an enjoyable stay that represented good value for money.

Nice clean Hotel in Good location

Labranda Hotel Playa Bonita is a welcoming Hotel. The four accommodation blocks are not ultra modern but all the rooms have recently been refurbished and are bright, and very spacious with a modern design. The grounds and garden are well kept and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We found all the staff pleasant and approachable and the Animation team were constantly active providing a range of activities and entertainment. We went in Early March and although the hotel was fairly full there were always sunbeds available and plenty of room in the Restaurant. The restaurant was bright and clean and the food was good with a reasonable variety for all tastes. The Hotel rates highly on Trip Advisor and in our experience deserves its ranking.
We booked our stay via Expedia and received E-Mail verification confirming this. On arrival however the Hotel had no record of our booking or our names. I presented them with our confirmation invoice and they asked us to wait whilst they tried to find room for us. They took us to the pool bar and arranged drinks for us and shortly after we were allocated a nice room in Block 1 with a view of the Sea.

The Staff, Food, Pool

I am completely allergic to little \"staff shows\" as a general rule. I find them kitsch and boring. But I was at the Playa Bonita shows every night they had them, and we gave them standing ovations. Kayla with his cross dressing Beyoncé / Cabaret shows, backed by Bella and the others were awesome.

I have to say that compared to many hotels, the pool area is fantastic. Huge, with a separate show, lounge, eating areas and a beautiful view of the mountains the photos on the site are not doctored, they are spot on.

Last but not least, the food was really good. It's not Michelin star food, but for buffet food, the taste was excellent.

The only thing I could fault them for is the wine in the all inclusive package. For a wine producing country, having that grape juice passed as wine is a crime. Stick to the excellent bubbly that come straight from the bottle or the acceptable tap beer and you'll be happy though.

The room was really spacious, staff attentive throughout and well cleaned facilities. I was on a cycling holiday with half board option, the breakfast was good and dinner had an extensive choice of options each night to try out. Table service worked really effectively taking away dirty dishes etc. and you could tell staff really like their work😀

Das Hotel ist schon etwas älter und an manchen Stelle könnte man auch etwas nachbessern (Liegen, Rasenteppich hinter dem Pool, Zimmer). Aber im Großen und Ganzen ist es trotzdem ganz schön. Vor allem das Essen ist sehr lecker und in großer Auswahl. Auch die umweltfreundlichen Mehrwegbecher für die Getränke finde ich toll!

Nuestra experiencia fue muy agradable, tomamos una estadía con media pensión y los desayunos y las cenas buffet eran variadas y buenas para su precio.
Además queda muy cerca a pie de la playa con lo cual se puede elegir entre pileta o mar dependiendo de las preferencias y el tipo de viaje que quieran hacer.
La atención de la recepción y del servicio de habitaciones es para destacar también. Los sunsets mirando a la piscina durante la cena Ameritan hacerlo con una copa de vino y unos quesos.

Einfaches Hotel mit Poolbereich und Außenbar

Die Zimmer sowie das Hotel selbst ist sauber und wird gepflegt. Leider ist es schon älter und an vielen Stellen renovierungsbedürftig, z.B. Spiegel im Badezimmer unten abgeplatzt, auf den Fliesen einige rostige Stellen, Fensterläden - Griff abgebrochen usw. Daher keine 4 Sterne wert.
Das Publikum ist vielfältig, viele Briten, Skandinavier, Familien und Paare. Das Benehmen leider oft unmöglich, mangelnde Hygiene - aber dafür kann das hotel nichts. Sie sollten aber etwas besser aufpassen.

Erinomainen aamiainen ja isot huoneet

Oikein mukava hotelli, iso yllätys kuinka suuri huone oli ja miten upea aamupala oli. Aamiainen oli todella runsas, kokki teki munakasta, paistettua munaa, toasteja, tarjolla oli perunamunakasta, churroja, salaattipöytä ja jopa kuohuviiniä!

Das Hotel ist wirklich komplett fein. Sehr sauber, schön, hat einen guten Pool zum schwimmen.
Und das Frühstück und Abendessen sind ihr Geld auch wert, allerdings muss man dabei gewisse Qualitätsabstriche machen. Der Orangensaft enthält keinerlei Orangen und der Erdbeer Joghurt hat auch diesen typischen synthetischen Erdbeergeschmack, und manches anderes Essen ist auch ausbaufähig von Geschmack und der Zubereitung.
Was auch etwas schade ist, dass es Zimmer gibt in Richtung der größeren Straße nebenan, die man dann teilweise hören kann.

Ansonsten ist das Hotel wirklich einwandfrei und eines der günstigsten in der Gegend.

Stora bufféer där det alltid fanns något gott att äta. Generöst med snacksbaren mellan måltiderna som erbjöd färsk frukt liksom hamburgare, korv och stekta ägg. Man gick aldrig hungrig eller törstig. Trevlig personal. Bra pool att simma längder i. Vacker utsikt från poolen mot de höga bergen för solen lyste upp dem på eftermiddagen/kvällen. Nära till stranden och den fina strandpromenaden.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und das Personal wirklich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist nicht das neueste aber es hat alles was man benötigt. Wir waren sehr gerne dort.
