This hotel is extremely overpriced..food is expensive and not even tasty...staff are not friendly...the main swimming pool is still shutdown...no entertainment..no acrivities..the elevator makes scary noises and the door slams on people getting in and out ... and i found a cockroach in my room 0834...not aceptable...they need to restore the hotel to where it is safe and pleasant for people to stay and then re-open it when its safe...i visited from Seattle in October 2025

Well - I had some issues checking in. Despite having a reservation, they didn't have me in the system. The attendant indicated that they are often receiving fraud from prepaid reservations. Well, I didn't prepay...I reserved to pay when arrived. I showed them the reservation, and it took some time to resolve the issue. My cousin from Mexico City was staying there also and they backed his brand-new car into an object in Valet...but they seem to be taking responsibility for that instance. I stayed there 40yrs ago. The property has been impacted by the hurricanes last year, and it didn't impact my stay there - since I was Acapulco to bury my mother and most of my activities were at my other cousins' home there or around town. We did find two cockroaches in the room - but it's open air and wasn't a annoyance. Breakfast was good, but Expedia says it was free and it was hardly free. Nor was it on my corrected reservation.

This place is still recovering from the hurricane but in good condition. It is under new ownership and there is a lot of work going on. The great staff makes up for any deficiencies. Two issues... there really isn't any place on property that serves dinner except a very average sushi place. Also it can be a bit noisy. in the end i had seven very pleasant days there.

I enjoyed my stay, it was quiet, relaxing. However, the food and drink were over priced. The property still not fully open. The food was quality on some itmes was very good. The drinks were as expensive as in the U.S. and were average. Pet fee was extremwly over priced. $50 dollars a night. In the U.S. some hotels charge between $75 and $150 for the entire stay. The beach is nice, though it is open sea. You need to be careful when swimming and not go to far in.

Such a beautiful hotel, the views and the rooms are amazing. The reason why I am giving this hotel 3-stars overall is bc the food is not it. Tried all restaurants and the only good one was the breakfast buffet at Chula Vista. Very pricey food and not good in all other restaurants on property. I would like to note however, the bartender at the bar inside the restaurant Beach was amazing and his drinks were delicious. Acapulco is beautiful so I will definitely go back but will look elsewhere.

The people in the restaurants don’t pay attention to you and the food is grossly overpriced. I would never stay here again. Stayed at the Princess Mundo Imperial for a weekend trip, wanting to relax by awesome pools enjoying some cocktails. This resort did not disappoint. Our Princess tower room had ample space to accommodate my family of 4 and had perfectly working A/C, which is a must in Acapulco. It is super hot out and about and the pools, although spacious and convenient were little relief from the warm weather. The pool temp is a little too warm but that is to be expected given the hotness day and night in Acapulco.
The staff was all around excellent whether it was at the front desk, restaurants, taxi stand or poolside. We never felt lost and every member of the staff ensures your stay is as comfortable as can be. The only knock we had was hoping the restaurants were all open and available but they have certain days/hours when they are not open. There are also very limited options outside the hotel unless you want to take the walk by the golf course to the shopping center on the other side of the highway. Nevertheless, we made it work with the beachside palapa which was a nice way to spend the day sipping drinks and eating yummy shrimp cocktails.
All in all, we had a lovely trip and would recommend this resort to any family or couple looking for a couple of days to unwind and relax.

Check in and out was horrible. Learn how to queue - new railings in room on terrace are very frail - they will break - no water path on beach to avoid burning your feet - golf course is in terrible shape and garbage is all over the place - taxi cabs from property charged very high prices. Have been to property over 10 times over the course of years. Sad to see its decline.

If I had to give the hotel a letter grade, it would be a C+.
On the good side, the staff was friendly. The hotel was pretty clean, so no issues there. Room service was pretty fast.
Negatives: For a resort hotel, the level of English for the staff, even the front desk staff, was pretty much non-existent. OK, it is Mexico and it is their country and I should learn better Spanish, so I can let this go.

The staff don't seem to communicate with each other very well and we had endless confusion about whether we had \"all inclusive status\" or not. This persisted the entire time.
Next, the prices of everything were wildly inflated, even by hotel standards. Taxi drivers who were in front of the hotel were seemingly determined to overcharge even when the prices had been agreed in advance. Not all of them for sure, but a lot were simply grifters.
On the good side, the staff was friendly. The hotel was pretty clean, so no issues there. Room service was pretty fast.

Service could improve as i didn't get room i booked- princess tower is differentthan pyramid tower. And the bathroom is a bit odd. Hard to adjust water temp and the pressure is insane. El hotel no se preparó para recibir a tanta gente durante el puente de febrero. Los empleados hicieron lo mejor que pudieron pero eran insuficientes e ineficientes para atender la alta demanda de visitantes que hubo. Los mismos empleados indicaban que el hotel no quiso contratar a más personal.
El día que llegamos nos asignaron habitación y a los 30 minutos entró una familia con su llave y la misma habitación asignada. Por supuesto después de eso nuestras llaves ya no servían.
La gente estaba molesta en vez de disfrutar sus vacaciones por lo que en general el ambiente no era amistoso.
En algunos restaurantes la fila era de casi una hora, el desayuno en el azul era un desastre pues todas las barras estan integradas, por lo que para pedir unos huevos había que hacer la fila de los guisados y de las quesadillas, aunque no quisieras comer eso.
A otros restaurantes a la carta se les acabaron los platillos y después de 30 minutos de esperar llegaban a decirte que ya no había lo que pediste.
Pedir la cuenta había que hacerlo con 30 minutos de antelación, tardaban demasiado.
