Hotel ,staff and amenities was ok.A lot of tlc needed all around. Food was low quality. No fruits or variety. But nice stay. Beware of steep hill walk upwards if you plan on going in and out. They have a nice overpriced shop downstairs.

My stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Everything – from the décor to the cleanliness – was at the highest standard. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. You can really see the attention to detail, which makes guests feel truly cared for.

Food:
The food at the hotel deserves special praise. Every meal was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. There’s a wide variety of dishes to choose from, so everyone can find something they enjoy. Breakfasts were rich and diverse, and dinners felt like a real culinary experience.

Service:
The staff were outstanding – polite, professional, and always ready to help. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and do everything with a smile. Thanks to them, the whole stay was extremely pleasant.

Summary:
This hotel truly deserves the highest rating. Excellent food, impeccable service, and great comfort make it a place I would happily return to and wholeheartedly recommend to others.

Amazing and breathtaking views. This gem is tucked away in a small village that has everything within walking distance within 5 minutes. Puerto Rico and Mogan beaches are about a 20-30 minute drive away, so you'll want a rental car. The property is gorgeous and very family-friendly. However, the rooms are very dated, but it was perfect and offered all the amenities we were looking for on our vacation. The two-bedroom apartment was enough space for our family of five.

We had a nice stay here 21/03 - 24/03/2025 it’s a solid 7/8 out of 10. We paid a very reasonable price, all the staff were really nice, beds were comfy and clean, pool restaurant/bar was great and it’s a short walk to a beach, restaurants and shops. The view from the rooms is also great, particularly levels 2-6, rooms 16-20 on each level.

Things that let it down were:
1. Pool is a big with plenty of sun loungers, but it’s a bit rough a round the edges. Missing and faded tiles, black grout etc. They are making some effort, and appear to be in the middle of resurfacing the area around the pool.
2. The rooms and bathrooms were clean but let down by fixtures that could do with replacing. E.g. Taps caked in limescale, rust stain on the bath from old fixtures, but everything worked.

Over all we had a nice stay here and it was ideal for our long weekend. I would recommend it to others just be mindful of the points above, but for the price you can look past these.

Great for a 4 night break

The place is super clean, the rooms, public areas, pool etc.
We had half board and all the food was top quality and the staff were very attentive and hard working.
I would certainly recommend Blue Bay Beach Club.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel! Need refurbished immediately and pay some attention to details! The view it s wow as long you stay second floor or up! The food it s not the worst but are more to be improved. Even the canteen area it s a very small one! Be aware at the dinner you don’t have any drinks included iff you choose half-board. Try to make sure they give you the closest rooms from the desk office! Iff not you will get lost inside hotel! It s a verry big one and sometimes looks like a maze. Overall it s a 3 star hotel with a nice view and nothing else.

hotel looks nice on pictures but is not worth the money they charge! Decor and facilities in room were dated/old fashioned, cleanliness was very poor housekeeping were not using good quality products where the toilets had a constant bad smell even after being cleaned. Only bedrooms had an AC (not much power) other rooms had fans which would not spin at speed. We didn’t get food included which turned out to be good as food was bland and limited options daily. Overall I wouldn’t recommend

Property is in a prime location, staff is very kind and polite. Loved every interaction with the staff. However the food is mediocre and most the amenity such as the hot tub was not Properly working our whole trip and the sauna was not available during our stay. There was construction in progess so it shows there are going to be improvements to the property.

But I won’t give this hotel 4 star! Maximum 3!
Bed wasn’t comfortable at all, no shampoo or shower gel, only hand soap. no cleaner on Sundays, everything looks so old and dated need a good repairs and refurbishing. Not a big choice of food for dinner, breakfast was ok. Beach got rocks no good for swimming had to take a taxi for the nice sandy beaches.
Nothing round the hotel, couple shops and cafes. Good place for retired people definitely not for young.

Not 4 star nor ‘upmarket’ as described!

The apartment in itself was ok but did not have a ceiling fan in the living area and the air conditioning in the bedroom wasn’t very efficient. However, when we asked for a fan, it was immediately delivered to our room.
The reception team was outstanding and made every effort to make things right: our shower wasn’t draining properly and the
maintenance team sorted the problem very quickly.
Although it looked inviting from afar, we did not use the pool as it had so many missing tiles and green ‘mildew’ on the water line. I understand that this is currently being addressed.
The pool bar staff were very pleasant and friendly and the grounds around the area were well maintained. The cleaning team provided excellent service.
The staff work very hard and must feel quite frustrated when they receive negative feedback about the general state of the hotel: it’s not their fault! The whole place needs a tremendous amount of money spent on it so that’s it lives up to its full potential, because it could be absolutely stunning!

Lovely hotel

This hotel has amazing views with spacious one bedroom apartments and a large pool area.
The apartments are very clean and have air con in the bedroom and a ceiling fan in the bedroom and living room. The decor is dated. The kitchen is well equiped and even has a dishwasher! There was also and iron and ironing board and a walk in wardrobe.
pool bar/restaurant is reasonably priced food.
The reception staff are friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel.
Its located is a quiet area but there are several restaurants and shops within a 5/10 minute walk. It is about 10/15 mins on the bus to playa del ingles etc.
I enjoyed my relaxing stay at this hotel it is the perfect base and I would return. Oh and yes the pool feels like there's ice cubes in it but thats the same with most canary island hotels.

The staff was helpful and doing their best, but the property is in poor shape. It needs a major updating and repairs throughout. The first room was terrible so they moved us with no fuss. The second room was better but not great. The gym is listed as an amenity but is out of service and the staff line is “maybe It will be available tomorrow.” However it seems to have been out of service for a while.

The hotel also charges for everything - TV usage, wifi, towels. I think they would charge for air if they could. I would rate it two stars.

Very disappointed! No way is this a 4* hotel. Had to pay for WiFi, towels for the pool and to use the safe but they won’t be responsible for any loss unless it’s in the safe!? The place was falling apart, in need of a massive refurbishment. Loads of stuff was broken and the cleanliness wasn’t good. Would never stay again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone either.

y property itself is extremely outdated and needs an entire upgrade from top to bottom. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable, and caused 4 anxious, unsettling, and tossing and turning nights of sleep. It was awful to be honest. Their is literally no gym, as the weights are all run down and old. There was multiple encounters with cockaroaches. With all that being said. If you are looking for a place to literally lay outside, and “only” use the hotel room for sleeping, and/or trying to sleep, than this is a great place. They keep the outdoor pool area maintained, and that is about it. The staff was very friendly to us, and we had no issues with the food, even though there was minimal selection. Overall, I would give this place a 3/4 out of 10, and that is only because we utilized their outdoor facilities everyday, which suited those needs. I would not go here until they upgrade “everything” in the hotel/hotel rooms. Lastly, there is virtually no entertainment, so be prepared to go outside the resort to fulfill you nightly adventures.

The whole building needs remodeling . Furnitures are from the 70’s. Non of the pool are heated which I was ok ( it was freezing cold you couldn’t use at all) but the Hot tub was COLD as well! Non heating! If they could fix these 3 issues this would be a very please take place. Location excellent, stuff memebers are perfect helpful and nice. Only the room conditions and amenities which are downgrading this place from 10 to 2 which is sad.

You had to pay for tv, wi-fi and safe key.
Tv didn’t work and had to ask twice to get it fixed. Toaster didn’t work but was replaced when pointed out.
For an apartment the kitchen was very basic for cooking.
And the sofa was the most uncomfortable seat I have ever sat on. It was a sofa bed but had no cushions for support when sitting on it. We had to sit on dining chairs to watch tv.
The apartment was large and spacious which was good and we had decent outside space. It was just hard to relax in the evening when there was no comfortable place to sit

We had a lovely stay overall. One downside was that when we arrived instead of being given the three separate one bedroom apartments we had booked we were all placed in a suite. Lucky for us we all get along but it’s not really good practice to do that.

Beautiful Ocean Views

Have recently returned from our week holiday in Gran Canaria staying at the blue bay beach hotel. Hotel overlooks beautiful ocean view, stunning. We stayed in the superior apartment with a balcony overlooking the ocean view and pool area which was nice. The apartment itself was suitable for three of us, with a double bed and a pull out sofa bed, a small kitchen, lounge and spacious bathroom. Although the room was comfortable, some maintenance would be nice to keep it up to date and modern. Cleaners attend to rooms 5 days a week, so always nice and clean upon returning from excursions.
The hotel has a mini-market which can get expensive when self-catering however there is a shopping center with cheaper and more variety of groceries just a short 10 minute walk away.
The pool/lounge area is clean and well maintained we spent most of our mornings here relaxing in Jacuzzi and swimming. All staff members of the hotel were attentive and helpful regarding any questions we had. There was also day trip organizers who would approach you at the pool area for a dolphin boat ride, banana boating and snorkeling- a brilliant experience, so grateful for them getting us involved!
The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful during the day times with some entertainment at nighttime in the pool bar where cheap cocktails are available! Wasn't that impressed with the bird show but the live music was good.
Overall our stay here was enjoyable and relaxing, thankyou Blue bay!

Nice hotel in the wrong area.

The location of the hotel is in a cool windy area therefore sunbathing around the pool was a no no and the pool was freezing. The hotel itself was nice, the staff were great and the rooms were clean. The spa baths didn’t work and there was no children’s play area.

Lovely views from the hotel

I was a bit sceptical prior to going to The Blue Bay as previous reviews were not all favourable, however it was clean, comfortable and in a spectacular setting.
The staff were all helpful and friendly and always full of fun (particularly Angel in the dining room).
Short stroll to Bahia Feliz, which is very small but has a great little coffee shop and a supermarket, having said that, there is a small supermarket at the hotel which stocked most things and wasn't overpriced.
The \"beach\" the hotel was set over was just rocks but it was only a short trip to the nearest town - San Augustin - which had a beautiful sandy beach and plenty of shops & eateries, the pick of which was called Casa Fani where the sweet and savoury dishes were lovely.
All in all, a very enjoyable holiday.

Beautiful views but very secluded & no beach

We were upgraded to a family room as the hotel was full. This had a beautiful sea view (as the majority of rooms do) from the living room and master bedroom. It was a good size with everything that you could need for a self catering holiday (iron, ironing board and dishwasher too!). There was a spa bath on the balcony. A large bathroom with bath and shower plus a separate en suite to the twin room.

The bathrooms especially could do with updating. But they're fit for purpose and cleaned regularly. Both myself and my sister found the beds/pillows hard and I did suffer with back and neck pain while I was away. This wasn't ideal. There are chairs & a table on the balcony although I would have liked some sun loungers too.

The facilities are good. The pool is a nice size and there are plenty of sun loungers around the pool. There's a small supermarket and gift shop on site. There's entertainment throughout the day and in the evening which is great for kids.

We didn't eat in the restaurant but we did find the bar overpriced plus the cocktails weren't that good. By far the worse I've had in the Canaries in fact. Other drinks are fine just expensive.

The location is up a hill. There is a small shopping village at the bottom of the hill and a couple of restaurants/bus stop. There's also a beach nearby but it's mostly large pebbles (a man made one is close but it's very, very small). We got the bus to maspalomas for the day for under €4 and it was well worth it.

OK for a short break if you don't pay too much.

Let's start with the good points. Fantastic location. Great selection of shops just down the hill and Playa Del Ingles only a 10 minute drive away. Views from the rooms are fantastic. Pools lovely tho not heated. Hot water always available. Jacuzzi on balcony. Friendly staff. Tons of space in our room. Some looked smaller but ours was cracking.

Now the negatives. Jacuzzi broken, no bubbles and leaking. (we could have changed rooms but the view from ours was worth the dissapointment at the jacuzzi) Dated decor. Food for breakfast and dinner was cold or luke warm. Not much of a selection at meals. No oven in apartment, just a micro grill. Evening entrainment finishes at 11 and the bar pretty much emptied by 11.05. Pay TV a waste of money, only three or four English channels and most of them were free view ones, bad picture for Sky Sports and channels seem to be running of a Mag type box.

Disappointing return visit.

A major difference to our stay five years ago.
The site, layout and gardens are as lovely as then, but unfortunately the quality of the facility has become time worn and is in need of a major refurbishment. The dishwasher was rusty and leaked steam, and the microwave timer did not work.
We became aware that the term 'superior room' was in floor size only. We had to ask for an iron, pay to use the room safe, have the TV remotes changed, lightbulbs were poor and of mixed colours and the furniture damaged, worn and shabby. Wi fi was only available at high cost.
The room needed a thorough deep clean.
The gym ( apparently not run by the hotel) contained dangerous equipment - eg weight machine held together by frayed rope and out of action equipment.
We did not use the buffet restaurant due to its subterranean position and its ex BHS canteen smell. Any complaints and requests were met with a 'heard it all before' level of disinterest.

Never a 4 star but didn't expect that for the price I paid, more like a 2 star. Rooms were big but decor to be desired (paint peeling of the walls). Sofa bed very uncomfortable. As we were self catering expected a oven, but not one so couldn't even put a pizza in for quickness. No kettle just coffee machine, so for a cup of tea needed to boil a saucepan.
The area is very quiet few restaurants supermarket and 1 shop local.
Local buses easy to catch and quite cheap.

A 4 star lady in need of a little work.

Having booked a superior apartment we were disappointed with apartment allocated to us on check-in but were moved to a nicer apartment with sun on balcony all day & amazing sea views. Hotel is somewhat dated & apartments while very spacious could do with a revamp. Bed hard & uncomfortable. Lovely spacious balcony & bathroom with shower and bath. Apartment cleaned 5 times a week. Nice pool with plenty of loungers & umbrellas. Lots of restaurants nearby and fabulous walk along the prom for miles. We had stayed here in 2011 and enjoyed our stay and we weren’t disappointed 2nd time round once we were moved apartment. We had hired a car so enjoyed trios to the markets in Mogan and San Fernando.

Blue Bay is in a quiet area (Bahia Feliz) with a few restaurants nearby. The hotel is clean but a bit dated. Great local bus service is reachable from this hotel which provides access to other busier resorts on the island.

Great location, big living space, poorly managed.

We didn’t get a kettle and needed one for the baby but despite repeatedly asking, it never turned up. Our bedroom ceiling leaked water from a broken pipe onto our bed in the night, this was dealt with quickly but the mattress was soaked and the staff just turned it. Our jacuzzi only worked for half the week, they kept saying they’d be back to fix but we had to chase & then it never worked again. Despite these problems and the obvious need for updating facilities & the maids need to do much more than just make the bed & change towels- we had a great time, the staff were friendly and the hotel is well situated in a beautiful spot with good transport links and spacious rooms. I wouldn’t go back to this hotel but it on the whole, we had a great time despite it’s shortcommings. The management really need to take some responsibility for the way this hotel has deteriorated and the staffs training needs clearly not being met.

Onsite supermarket was convenient and wasn’t that much of a mark up compared to the larger supermarket at the bottom of the hill, which was bigger and cheaper.

Ok hotel if your wanting a relaxing week.

This hotel is simply OK. We booked thinking it looked really lovely, sounds good Blue bay beach club - suppose we just expected a little more. It is boring, for a young couple anyway 23&28. The rooms are dated and twin beds pushed together is less than ideal for a couple. For a family who maybe don’t want to leave the hotel then book here. If you wanting a little something more going on, then I would advise you stay somewhere such as Playa de Ingles. Where this hotel is in Bahia Faliz there is nothing to do which I suppose we should have researched before we booked. The sun beds were easily to get as it was quiet, quiet music round pool can only be heard if on sun beds next too it. Food ok at pool bar, get what you pay for. Go karting and landing strip near by so that’s all you can hear most days. We didn’t even use the hotel bar or watch entertainment so can’t comment on that, we chose to get taxis to playa de Ingles or peurto rico instead where they was something to do. Rooms are clean and maids do come every day to make beds and swap towels which was a bonus. The best thing about this hotel was the view from the rooms. So basically, if you want quiet and basic then stay here. If you want bars, shops, live music nice restaurants then don’t.

Clean roomy apartment

The apartment was very roomy and clean. The kitchen area had all the basic's you would need. There is no cooker but there are four hobs and a microwave. You'll need to supply your own washing up liquid. Spacious patio that overlooked the pool and poolside bar, but did not find this overly noisy at night. There were plenty of plug sockets, so very easy to charge various devices. The sofa was fairly uncomfortable, you could almost feel each spring, but suspect that this has something to do with it being a sofa bed. The arm chair was comfortable. The air conditioning in the bedroom was very welcome and the bedroom ceiling fan was virtually silent so could be left running at night, the fan in the living room was noisy in comparison. By the nature of the building you could hear if chairs etc were moved across the floor in the apartment above. People passing on the corridor outside wheeling their suitcases was quite loud late at night and early in the morning as they bumped across the tiled floor. The grounds were very well kept and there were plenty of sun loungers in the pool area. There is only limited car parking in their actual car park but plenty of street parking directly outside the hotel. I would certainly return.

Lovely hotel & location but needs a bit of TLC

This hotel could have been perfect. The room was lovely and spacious, huge balcony with jacuzzi, beautiful pool area, immaculate gardens and views, great location. But a bit understaffed, several times the cleaners left dirty floors. The decor, once lovely was rather faded, with a few cracks in the walls. Overall it was good but with a bit of extra care and maintenance work it could have been great

Need an upgrade

After spending 15 days in Anfi, one of the top rated resorts on Gran Canaria it was a bit of a come down when I first arrived at the Blue Bay Club. After a couple of days the resort 'grew' on me and overall I enjoyed my stay. The resort does look a little 'tired' and need some investment to bring it up to the standard it was 10 years ago. The room was quite big and comfortable and the staff were helpful, there is also a reasonable well equip gym which I used a few times. It was easy to get into Playa de Inglas using the local buses which were often and cheap 1.45 Euro. 30 euro to use the internet for a week was expensive and the first time I have ever had to pay to have wi-fi in my room.

We spend in this hotel 2 nights. Very spacious apartament, enough place for 4 persons. Fully-equipped kitchen. In our apartment 2 bathrooms. Very nice pool area. Good acces to highway. Generally very nice hotel.

Hotel rooms could do with updating but overall a nice place, happy hour till half 5 in the evening works out at about 1.70 a pint, good pool, shame the jakuzi wasn't heated, did eat at the hotel one night, but it was nothing special, some really nice places close by to eat out, so you wouldn't have to go far to get a good meal is what I'm getting at, hotel staff verry helpful, local people also verry nice, and really hot this time of year, 33 on Friday just gone, I'd go again, hope this helped,

Around the pool side was the only nice looking thing about the place. In our room bits of plaster had come of the wall. Cupboards and wardrobes were falling apart. The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. After having a shower and walking from the bathroom to the bedroom room the bottom of my feet were filthy from the floor. I think the cleaners only brush the floor and don't mop it. This hotel has got four stars and you'd be lucky if i should have two. I was self catering so i never ate in the place but the price of a buffet breakfast was 11 euro. A bit of a joke really.

Nice hotel but rooms a little dated

Fabulous pool area with well kept gardens and good pool side restaurant. Hotel rooms need updating as very worn although clean beds uncomfortable as old/tired Advertised tv in every room but to view anything you must pay and wifi is only available if you pay even in public areas. Was here for 5 days and maid service came only once and this was on day 2 so not really that good. Hotel close to a good selection of supermarkets and restaurants

We only stayed for one night (thank goodness!). The pool was unheated so too cold to use. The sofa bed in the room looked like it was about 30 years old, was super uncomfortable and when we pulled out the lower mattress two cockroaches scuttled out. There weren't any mosquitos but we all woke up with bites, so I suspect bedbugs. Horrible experience not to be repeated.

Perfect for a cheap weekend

Good location only 15 mins from the airport. Pool area lovely lots of sun loungers and very clean. Lifeguard on duty. Swimming pool was freezing cold.
Hotel decor dated rooms could do with refreshing however they are well equipped and clean.
The biggest let down with the hotel is the food not what you would expect from a 4star hotel, every day the food was only luke warm even at 6.30 when restaurant opened the staff said it was due to a new buffet cart and it was only heating up the food at the bottom however the chef needs to ensure the food is piping hot when he brings it out. Frozen vegetables and tinned fruit isn't good along with deserts stuck in the 80's with cocktail dishes with various coloured mooses as the choice.
Overall the hotel was in a good location, nice pool area and ok for a long weekend, if I was to book again it would only be bed and breakfast.

Fantastic stay. Location is great. Steep walk though down to the sea, but no problem for me. May be harder for those not very agile, but a pleasant walk.

The hotel was as expected having read the reviews. Great views, very clean and the staff were very helpful. However the apartment was very tired. The sofa was the most uncomfortable ever sat on and the beds were not great.

POSITIVES: Lovely Hotel,great location out on its own beach area.Welcoming staff and quick arrival, spacious with lovely views across the bay. Bedroom seemed to have everything. Hotel prides itself on sending in the cleaners everyday of the week?

NEGATIVES: Wifi is not free. Unable to access in bedroom very well and at times a bit hit and miss I paid for three days but only got a good reception in the lobby on Saturday. If you want English t.v. channels you had to pay for them. No kettle although we used a small saucepan. We only saw a cleaner the last day of our holiday when I explained the sheets had been on three days they changed them and took the dirty towels without leaving any more.

Fantastic holiday

My boyfriend and I stayed at the BlueBay Hotel a couple of weeks ago. From the minute we arrived we received great hospitality. The apartment was enormous, clean and had the perfect view over the pool, gardens and beach.
The pool was clean - if a little chilly! There were plenty of sun loungers to go around and we never felt overcrowded.
We had a half board package and this perfect - the restaurant served various different types of cuisine each night, including speciials (steak/fish etc) and the soup as a starter was so delicious too. The breakfast was ideal and we have no complaints.
The waiters were particularly lovely and kind and always made us feel welcome - particularly the restaurant staff in the evening.
House wine was of a good standard too and affordable.
A word to the wise, there is not much around the hotel at all - which is not a problem if you eat at the hotel. It would become expensive if you didn't have a package deal.

Remember your own beach towels too!

Definitely recommend this happy, clean and vibrant hotel!

Pleasant stay!

Whilst the hotel had the amenities of a 4 star hotel, the rooms were dated. But that again was reflected in the price and thus i still felt it provided great value for money. The view from the room was great and the room itself was quite spacious for the kids to freely move about. We had only booked the room but opted for half board for the last day of our stay, which was enough as the food could be better.
The pool area was great and again quite large to accomodate everyone. A few people from the neighbouring hotel we met were complaining about how crowded their pools were and litreally described it as feeling like \"sardines in a can.\" We had plenty of room to swim freely.
Finally the service was absolutely fabulous and by that i mean any promises made were delivered upon and that is not always the case elsewhere. The animation team was great and kept the kids well entertained.
So over all we had a great stay and had the rooms been updated, i would have probably given it 5 stars.

OK for a one nighter

We stayed at this hotel for the first night we arrived in gran canaria as our main hotel didn't have check in until the following day. We booked this one as it was good value for half board and close to the airport. The reception area of the hotel was beautifully designed and elegant but I found the room we stayed in was in need of some updating and tlc. The pool was great for my daughter although I found it a little chilly.
Check in was quick.
I think the hotel needs to work on providing more information to it's guests. Only given a single sheet of information.
The evening meal was OK but didn't know we could order additional dishes from the kitchen which were included in the buffet.
Entertainment was good, we had a singer.
Overall we had a good stay but I don't think we'd book for more than one night.

2 bed apartment was huge although there were a few bits broken or missing
Floors were not that clean even after cleaning and other bits were a bit grubby.
Had to pay for any decent tv.
Pool and gardens were beautifully kept and reception spotless
Tried the half board food for one day but would get better in blue village.
Food at pool bar looked nice and good value but didn't try it.
Staff were all very pleasant.
Not really quite living up to 4 star these days.
Just seemed to be something missing for me

A real mixed bag

Our suite was huge and spacious with two large bedrooms, bathrooms, full kitchen and sitting area and a 28' balcony with hot tub. We were impressed. The resort's general areas (entrance / foyer, reception, elevators, pool and park like grounds) were well maintained, clean and attractive. Our room however was rather outdated. It's time for the furniture, beds, 20\" TV's, and kitchen appliances and cabinets to be replaced and nicks in the walls and woodwork repaired. The refrigerator temp. control didn't work very well, there was 3\" of frost ice in the freezer and our food froze and had to be discarded. The beds were quite old but surprisingly reasonably comfortable. Clean bedding and towels were supplied. Plenty of hot water. Lots of parking. We never ate here but there are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Services that you would expect included you had to pay extra for (safe, Wi-Fi, pool towels). Blue Bay Beach Club is a mixed bag: 4 stars (attractive building, pools and grounds) 3 stars (suites tired showing their age). Note: Blue Bay BEACH Club really doesn't have a BEACH, just a rocky, stony shore line but the swimming pools are very nice. Considering the rates (as advertised by Expedia), this resort is priced reasonably and we would definitely come back. The resort was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay.

the hotel was lovely , good location and away from noise except from karting club which gets sometimes very noisy.
Rooms are very large and all facing the sea and pool !Hotel grounds very well looked after . Breakfast and dinner service very good and friendly staff.
Down side - Pool is extremely cold - not heated.

Loved the apartment but it was a little far away from the action. Got the bus to Playa del Inglés and a taxi back. Taxi was only about 7 or 8 Euro. Had some entertainment in the hotel which was good and a shop. Probably better suited for couples or families who want to relax for a week.

Great location for self sufficient travellers

BBBC is in a lovely location away from the craziness of Playa Del Ingles and close to Blue Village which makes it easy to shop, stroll, dine when not doing day trips which themselves are easy because of the location between the airport and the southern crowds. Good/affordable bus service north and south and taxis abound. The hotel is listed as 4* at 3* price and that's about right. It has everything you need but not the best of anything except the beds were SUPER good. Rooms are huge, kitchens work, water pressure is good. We would come back for sure with a couple of additions to our luggage. Pool is cold (but it was December!) Christmas Dinner was great!

Another visit I would whip round the room and clean the things that matter to me... doorhandles, drips in front of fridge, bathroom floor and then I'd be fine. Bring some kitchen basics, dishwasher tabs, salt/pepper/;sugar sachets from a fast food place - these are pricey to buy on the resort and nothing at all is provided in the kitchen. The hotel shop has great bread fresh each day and as much fruit and veg as anywhere else. It's an island after all!

Finally we rented a wifi hotspot from easymifi which cost us less than the hotel charges, worked great and we were able to take it with us anywhere we went, even on dunes/camels and up to Las Palmas. Awesome find, look it up easymifi.com

We arrived at the blue Bay and our room wasn't ready.we waited an hour for our room on the 4th floor.when the freezer had been defrosted and wet towels were still on the floor by the fridge which a cleaner soon removed. The room was basic but the view made up for it. Unfortunately the sun was only on the balcony in the morning which was disappointing as some on the other side of the hotel had the sun all day.The entertainment was very limited in the hotel and there wasn't really anything at the near by square except for eating in the restuarents during the evening.

The hotel is well situated with good sized rooms

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Blue Bay Beach Club. Although well used the apartment was very spacious and comfortable for us as a family. The rooms have a great view over well kept gardens and pool area. The hotel is very close to the sea. Staff were helpful and pleasant throughout. If like us you wish to explore the island the hotel is well situated for quick access to the motorway.

Family one night stay

Very nice accommodation. Our 2 bed apartment was very large with a really nice view from the balcony. The beach club exceeded our expectations having read the reviews prior to visiting this hotel. The apartment was freshly painted and all corridors were in very good repair and did not need painting.
For adults, teens and children who have no problems walking the restaurants etc are easily reachable on foot. The cons were a charge for wifi in the room and not enough chairs on the balcony. We would definitely return to this accommodation again.
