We went to corner shop to buy cleaning stuff to tidy up the room we got. There was leak in the bathroom if it could be called like that. The mirrow was dirty and broken. The lamp and sock were broken as well. On the wall in the room was mounted tv set with the broken screen We were lucky to get the room with private shovwer room and toilet instead TV set. The others rooms had no toilets inside. The hotel need to be inspected by your Staff asap and upgrade to present standardy. Not to be recommend by you to your travelers.

The only positive was that the desk agent helped us carry bags up 4 flights of stairs because there is no lift.

Shelf was hanging off the wall. There were syringes and medical waste on the window ledge outside the room.

The shared toilet didn’t flush properly so it wasn’t clean.

I’ve seen better conditions in documentaries about labour camps. This place should be avoided. We left and booked another hotel somewhere else and the hotel refused to refund. Their business model is very much based on leveraging non refundable rates.

Book if you have a good credit card company that you can dispute the charge through. Travelocity support couldn’t help either.

Very bad experience in this property. We were given a key when we check in and a person was already in the room before us. Be careful this property is infested (bed bugs). Towels were missing. No proper table chair. Barthroom are not workong properly. He have to leave before our checkout date. Front desk were not reachable by expedia for resolution. Do not waist your money and risk your health. If this is in the US this would have been long shut down by health department.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful, responsive to requests, and very friendly. It's not the fanciest place, but we needed a place to sleep that was near everything, and it more than succeeded in that regard. Great if you're looking for a Spartan room to stay. Near the metro, walking distance to many sights. Boulangerie nearby is good quality.

Internet is a little slow, but functional and included. Don't know what the tv is like didn't use it at all.

Check in and out was easy. Stayed two weeks, was comfortable enough to not impact my sleep schedule. Price was great. Would stay again.

Hotels.com has to do a better job vetting the properties they allow to be used. This property is old, it does not look as nice in person as the pictures shown. The room was equal to a 50 year old super8. Shower grout black, light in bathroom didn’t work, only warm water for one shower cold for the second and very much in an under cleaned under kept state. Sent a message to the “Hotel” through the app and had no response. I would not recommend nor would I return to this “Hotel”. Staff were very disinterested in our concerns. Also did not clean the room, not because we didn’t want it cleaned but because we took the key. They didn’t mention this in checkin or any other time until we approached them. Big thumbs down. The area was awesome, that’s their saving grace.

Il n'était pas non plus indiqué que les wc étaient sur le palier. Sans parler de l'état de propreté des toilettes. La fenêtre de la chambre ne fermait pas. Les photos ne ressemblent pas vraiment à la réalité des lieux.

From the start of my stay at Aboukir, I wasn't expecting my room to be so bad and the staff to be just as bad. I stayed in a full one bedroom with bathroom and shower included, something that all rooms don't feature in this hotel as it is treated more like a hostel, I immediately realized in the room that there was mold all along the shower area. The toilet was behind a 4 by 4 cubic foot space with exposed wires and the sound of water leaking every time someone from above me flushed their toilet (disgusting) I also was not provided a towel, or soap for more than 2 days when my stay was for 5 days total. I had to go buy my own toiletries and towel so I could actually take a shower. 3 lights were out, not working and the TV was plugged in but they never gave me a romote for the TV and just said \"we need to look for it\" and proceeded to never find it and finally tell me on day 3 they the TV is broken ( it clearly wasn't and I was able to use the remote from the room next door that was being cleaned and could see that it turned on and off just fine. This hotel is not the place for someone who values their money or respects themselves, it is more of a last resort when you have no other option but to sleep on the street and that might be even cleaner and a better stay at this point. I hope they take steps to fix the problems that this place has so that it can be recommended for short term, 1 day stays. Do not stay in this place for more than a day, it will end up costing a lot more

The room had stains that made me itch, you could hear all the sounds from the hallway, the tv didn’t work, I refused to even use the shower because of the weird smells coming from it. I cannot recommend this property. Not worth the payment for 3 star.
**Issues Encountered:**
- No lift.
- The shower and toilet facilities were not clean.
- The toilet door handle and light were not functioning; I reported this issue, but no action was taken.
- The television was not working.
- Additionally, chocolates for present that were left in the room 14 pieces were gone missing.
-City tax was confusingly overcharged with incorrect change.

The only positive aspect of our stay was the location.

Not much furniture besides a bed, unreliable lighting that went off wvery few minutes but always came on again, , no light in the bathroom, no air-conditioning, fifth-floor (US) walk up, but perfectly okay. Location was good for tourism and cute during the day but sketchy at night. There are definitely better hostels in Paris for the price— the sheets were dirty and the bathroom situation was atrocious (it was the size of an airplane bathroom and gross with an EXTREMELY slippery shower). The room was quite warm but we were provided a fan by hotel staff that made it okay. Contrary to prior reviews, hotel staff was helpful and friendly and accommodated us leaving bags before check in and facilitated an early check out. A fine place to stay if you don’t mind an untidy room on the 4th floor (lots of stairs, not accessible as there is no elevator).

The first room did not have a toilet, and when we got one with one, the smell in the closet toilet and the whole room was disgusting. The toilet and shower were the size of my small bathtub in NYC, but the smell was worse. The staff was cordial, but I didn’t want to even look at their faces. The smell in the room was offensive.
It is a rundown place with very basic rooms and shared bathrooms, but it is in a very convenient location.

It is maximum a 0,5 star and that's somehow being generous. If you dare take a shower you will wet you bed. They have put the shower at 78cm of you bed with the shower head pointing directly to your bed with no door to protect. The walls have black spots all over them. The sheets had yellow spot all around and there was a weird smell in the room. Oh, by the way, the toilet is outside of the room and somehow smells worst than any toilet I've seen in my life ( worst than the worst gas station toilet ) I hope that you sleep like a rock because the walls are made of paper and the hotel is so noisy. But don't worry the sound will go from a 8/10 to a 7 by 1am and then to a 5-6/10 by 3am because to had to the perfect stay, there is a club right beneath it.

This is a nice, cheap hotel, ok for a 1 night stay. It is very close to a metro station which has 2 lines stopping there. You need to be physically able though to stay here as there is no lift but it's in an old Parisian block.

You have to share a toilet with around 6 other rooms although you have your own shower and sink. You are restricted to two small sachets of shower gel when it would be good to have it in a dispenser attached to the shower wall. The toilet paper and soap ran out in the toilet so I think you're supposed to take the roll of toilet paper you are given in your room and your own soap. The toilets should be checked regularly including through the night to make sure these are topped up.

It is hard to charge a phone as the only socket is on the floor by the door. I noticed also that the light switch in room 15 had been painted over with white paint.

The hotel is generally conveniently located to the Metro, but the area is a little rough and some guests may not feel comfortable, especially at night. This hotel is inexpensive and for good reason. While my room on the top floor was clean and the bed was comfortable, the toilet is shared down the hall, and bring-your-own toilet paper from your room. The shower drain was plugged and more notably the shower curtain was hung too high so water ran all over the floor, across the room. They provided only one towel for 2 nights stay, bad enough, and while the staff were friendly enough, I had to argue with them to get extra towels to clean up the flooded water in my room...seriously! And they didn't care enough to help problem solve. They were more focused on collecting the additional 10 Euro I had to pay, despite water flooding. The room was sparsely furnished with no place to put my bag, and only a tiny little shelf big enough to put my keys and wallet. In the early morning, the lady in the next room started screaming at her partner, waking up everyone. You better get a very good deal, and have very, very low expectations to stay at this place. At least there were no bugs, that I saw, but the lights in the room automatically shut off, presumably to save power, so who knows what I didn't see!

Ok so I was pleasantly surprised after reading the atrocious reviews, although I did go in with very low expectations.
The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly - that’s the positives. Plus location is good.
The building is very old and very noisy - the sound of the doors closing is very loud and you can hear voices from other rooms. The toilets are shared (one on each floor) so are fine after being cleaned but after that you’re relying on the cleanliness of other guests….
Was it as bad as I was expecting? No.
Would I stay here again? Also No.

This place is a sh*t hole. Don't waste your money. There is NO toilet or shower in the bathroom. It is a bedsit/hostel that is advertising as a hotel. No food. No water. Nightclub downstairs you can hear through the walls. It is in a dangerous area where my daughter got robbed and jumped by adult men. One had one eye. Also, there is a leak from the ceiling and all of the clothes were wet and damp and ruined. Disgusting.

The first night we arrived, we noticed there wasn’t an elevator in the hotel or a toilet in the room (which can be expected in older buildings). But after we left and came back from dinner to shower off, the shower walls were grimy and slick from mildew and dark mildew on the lower tiles near the shower floor and the drain screen was unattached from drain pipe. The shower had walls that did not reach all the way to the ceiling, making that the only place to place any shower items but those too were covered in dark mildew. When we were leaving the hotel, there was a man relieving himself on the street in plain view of the door of the hotel. We returned around midnight, after taking the metro around to see some of the monuments after dark. Upon returning and getting into bed, there were dark, short, curly hairs (if you catch my meaning) but we decided to stay. The second day we were gone for most of the day because we didn’t want to be in the room. When we got back, we requested new sheets (my sister had spilled something on the bed) and extra pillows and the staff told me they didn’t have anything available that night to replace them because they kept set of sheets (duvet cover, duvet insert, flat sheet to cover the mattress and a waterproof mattress cover) and one pillow for each guest (twin beds get 1 pillow, double beds get two). They were able to get us a flat sheet from a room that was unoccupied. There’s more but this only allows 1500 characters…

We got in to the hotel quite late at night because of our flight schedule. It was nice to have the reception open late. Room was comfortable, quiet and clean enough. We had a nice sleep and we left the following morning, so the room did its job.

The atmosphere was very Russian: cockroaches, everything was broken, the lamp in the ceiling stopped working on the second day of our stay, the socket outlet above the bed was dangerously broken, the shower was extremely small and the walls were broken.... No cleaning at all during our stay, we had to ask for more toilet paper from the staff, the noise from the streets was horrible but the staff guys were always friendly, nice and very helpful.

Yes our stay was cheap, the location was excellent but never again. :D

Ja många butiker o restauranger nära, bra läge men rummen i dåligt skick. Trasiga lampor, läckande rör, kranar som inte gick att stänga av. Vänlig personal som gjorde sitt bästa.

La chambre est très vétuste, la fenêtre ( qui donne sur la rue en plus) ne se ferme pas! Les oreillers sont durs comme du béton, la salle d’eau est minuscule, il n’y a pas de lavabo mais un minuscule lave-main situé juste à côté des toilettes ! dans lequel il est très difficile de se laver les dents au vue de la disposition de la pièce, la douche est délabrée et je me suis retrouvée enfermée dans cette minuscule pièce car la poignée ne fonctionnait pas correctement.
De plus, impossible de dormir à partir de 4h du matin en raison du bruits des occupants voisins des nombreux aller-retour dans les escaliers, des portes qui claques…
Le directeur de l’hôtel n’étant pas présent, aucun geste commercial n’a été possible en guise de dédommagement !

The reception was excellent. Easy check in and check out. However the rooms had a stounch smell with rats all over the place. The bathroom and toilet in the room were not as decent as described on the sight.

God beliggenhed med nem adgang til taxa og metro.
Desværre var værelset meget lille, gammelt og beskidt. Toilettet var meget lille og lugtede af urin.
Personalet var dog søde og venlige.

No se corresponde con las fotos.
No ofrece todos los servicios que indica ya que la habitación en la que estuve tenía el televisor roto y no hubo corrección. Tienen reglas para con los clientes pero no cumplen con los servicios que ofrecen.
