The room was clean with a new feel and nice fixtures. It was very compact with not a lot of room to move around.there was a lot of “room noise” from plumbing, ac, and mini fridge. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The Tesla charger was a bonus surprise. Staff was very helpful.

Amazing. This is really a high end boutique hotel. Location is stella. Staff very helpful. Parking is a bit limited. If your on 2nd floor there is no elevator.On site in door outdoor restaurant is pricy but lots of othet great options close by.

This is a lovely boutique hotel across the street from the ocean. Nespresso coffee maker, mini bar, and Molten bath products are a nice touch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is complimentary. Restaurant is very good.

Amazing hotel with an excellent restaurant that has an outside area that allows dogs. The service was above and beyond! The room had more than most with the option of ocean view patios that have a gorgeous view. My only recommendation is if you are a tea drinker and want tea in your room in the morning, bring some as there isn't any in the room.

We had a great view of the ocean. The guy at check in saw our daughter and heard we were going to the pool and he pulled out a special child sized robe for her to use during our stay!

My only "complaint" is that Expedia's room description was misleading. The premium room stated (when we booked) that it has a separate bedroom, it does not. In looking at the hotel's website there is no such option so I do wish I had just booked with them directly to have the most accurate information.

It's a great location for some relaxation. The pool and hot tub were quiet, and while the pool wasn't big, it was big enough for our daughter to have fun (only 4.5ft deep at the deepest point). If you walk across the street you're at the walkway by the ocean, there's benches to sit and enjoy the view if you don't want to walk. We were lucky and some sea lions were out playing!

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel's restaurant/cafe - the service was good, food was a little pricy but absolutely delicious! They do have a kid's menu even though I couldn't find it on the website.

The staff for this large and busy Inn and restaurant were without exception, wonderful. The food in the restaurant was very good. The room seemed to be newly upgraded and was very comfortable. Only suggestion for other travellers was to note that the coffee maker is for espresso only, and there were no options for tea--but we could have had a kettle sent up!

Decent enough hotel, staff would never answer the phone and were generally unprofessional. Once we checked out I realized my brother left his swim trunks behind, the room cleaner never brought them to lost and found and according to the front desk they just disappeared. I know it happens sometimes and we should have checked the room better but usually they will set the stuff aside for you to come back and grab.

We had a pet friendly room. It had a little patio for us to sit with iur pup. Our room was clean and came with everything we would need.
We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. We were very impressed with everything.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and the views are phenomenal. The food was fantastic and they menu was varied enough to not be repetitive or boring. Lots of shops within an easy walk and access to tourist attractions is very simple, whether in town or traveling to the nearby area. Most definitely going to stay again as the staff made our stay very enjoyable.

The view from the suite was lovely and the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were very convenient. Unfortunately, the decor of the room seemed very old and used and there was a musty smell throughout. Also, there was a live band playing jazz in the restaurant and we could hear it in our suite until about 11pm. That might be a negative or a positive depending on what you like to do with your evenings. Staff was helpful with moving our bags and checking us in, but overall we were a little disappointed with the price we paid for what we got.

Beautiful hotel! However for the price a few things could be better: there are no towel racks in the bathrooms, the bathroom fan was very dusty and we could hear a loud HVAC noise all night. We were able to sleep but it was a bit annoying / especially when we’ve paid over $200 per night.

Staff were wonderful and friendly and efficient. Parking was good but I imagine in the summer it’s more difficult. The restaurant is very good.

Every time we visit we stay at the QBI and have ever since we sold the house in Qualicum and moved to the mainland.
We can count on a high level of service and quality of stay each time we stay…and it doesn’t hurt that the QBC restaurant is onsite - the food and service make for an even better stay (shout out to Taylor!).

Cons:
Our room was right beside the patio of the restaurant so it was very loud when people were seated there we could hear their entire conversations and we had no privacy just sit out so we just kept the door shut even though it was nice outside and we wanted some fresh air.
Also, we noticed that the grout in the shower had orange mould on it so we were not pleased with the condition of the shower.
It was obvious because the grout is white and the tile is white so you could see the mould easily on the grout

Our 2nd floor king room was spacious with beautiful view. Outside dining patio great place for happy hour. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna-very clean.
One downside the mini bar is stuffed with beverages we did not require. Please leave space for guests to add their own items. Overall had a great stay and would recommend.

checking in was a breeze and got a nice room overlooking the patio and waterfront. a very clean bathroom had all the amenities and a stocked fridge (extra charge beverages) was just under the tv. room needs a kettle, but we are sure one would be available if we asked for one to be brought up to the room.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The room was well appointed and very comfortable and we had a balcony with a view of the water.
The service at QBI is outstanding! You can tell that all Staff are well trained as the customer service experience was exceptional. The restaurant is also wonderful, we ate several breakfasts and a dinner there and loved everything we ate.

We submitted a complaint with manager Irina Hansen about our dirty sheets. Upon departure from the hotel we noticed that the sheets were soiled with what appears to be feces. In speaking to the manager, compensation for our stay is to be done by formal request through Expedia. We are requesting refund for our one night stay

We came to Qualicum to visit friends but also for a quick little getaway: what a perfect little gem! From early arrival (they were able to check us in early) to our restful stay, great service from front desk to restaurant and rooms. Everything has been renovated: so clean and inviting and fresh! Most comfortable bathrobes I've ever used (bought one to take home!). Husband loved using the sauna and pool facilities. Excellent location to get into town, our friends' place, the beach. Two nights was not enough. Looking forward to a repeat soon.

The property is cosmetically renovated however they should have upgraded things such as putting in usb wall chargers and placing electrical outlets in better accessible areas. They rank poorly with bed...it was terribly soft and well worn ; my husband and i woke up with back pain daily due to sinking and had poor sleep due to obvious mattress issue. Lastly the lack of spacious parking on the property is poor...we drive a pick up truck and found it difficult to park in the parking lot at the property as their spots are made for smaller cars and not larger vehicles
..we witnessed many trucks turn into the parking lot and leave to have to park not on the property....which required more walking with luggage and such. The staff at the restaurant, housekeeping and front desk were friendly. Due to the mattress conditions...we would not recommend this property.
