The bed was not a queen bed. The flooring in the room was worn out and coming up and sharp with bare feet. My main floor room was located next to the front entry unloading zone and noisy.

My room was very noisy. I heard people coming and going all the time as I was very close to the check-in and doors. It might be helpful if a sign was put up in the evening especially asking people to consider/respect others who may be trying to rest. I’m an elderly woman so like to go to bed by 9:00 or so. Several nights I didn’t get much sleep as people were talking loudly in the halls or the two recreational rooms. I would have liked to open the door to ask them to talk quietly but at my age I don’t dare do that. I would have asked for another room but was too exhausted the first night I was there and thereafter just didn’t feel like it. I got the feeling the hotel was fully booked. Otherwise the staff were very friendly.

Great stay. Beautifully renovated room with lots of space. Very clean and quiet. Elevator was fast and handy for luggage. The lounge area had a great, much appreciated coffee machine. The complementary mini-putt game at the place across the street was a fun touch. Parking was free and plentiful. Close to the beach, restaurants and all amenities. Would definitely stay here again!

Booked a room at coast. Said they were full no rooms left. I checked 4 hrs later and they were still taking bookings. rerouted me to tide inn. For same price. Unfortunately this is a dirty 1 star at best. I was ripped off. Yelling and fighting through the night with the monthly term rental guests. Room wasn’t clean.etire place is rundown. In fact it was gross. Total bait and switch. This should be investigated.

We've stayed in 9 different hotels/short-term rentals in the last 3 weeks & this was by far the best! Extremely clean. Helpful friendly staff. Creative, unusual amenities (a relaxing lounge with games, hot & cold drinks, soft music, tv, comfy furniture. Pretty private outdoor spaces to gather. Free admission to amazing mini-golf across the street.) One block to the shore. Close to restaurants. If you're in Parksville, this is the place to stay.

I used to travel here more often but lately i have booked elsewhere in the area (more ocean front if i can afford it). But i realized some of the rooms are more run down - each room is a bit different but my room had black mold in the bathroom and lots of grime in the shower.
Other than that the room was clean. Staff were nice. Bed was comfy enough. Large towels as well which is always nice after a shower.

The room was well appointed. The bathroom had a tub 😀. And as a person who doesn't drink tea or coffee, it was a real selling point the free hot chocolate was available in the lounge. I am very happy with my stay and will come again.

I was traveling with my boat and arrived at 1:00 am Monday morning, I was greeted with a helpful staff member. I was shown where to park my vehicle and boat. I was able to extend my checkout until 12:00 pm as it we sprung forward a hour. Very good experience.

Pros - nice staff, accommodating to pets, clean rooms, comfy beds, windows that open.

Cons - my ground level suite had ants crawling on the floor, the windows don’t have screens, no privacy curtains, and the ceiling in the bathroom had water damage that made me suspicious of mold.

The staff were good on bookin but the room left allot to be desired. Ground floor right next to busy street, that and the bed got a zero out of 10 for comfort. It was horrible, not even a queen size and so worn out there was no support whatsoever. Good hot chocolate machine though..

Excellent check-in. Great location. Very nice, clean room. Had the Queen Studio Suite, and it was a very cool room. It had everything, even a small kitchenette; with cookware, dishes, cutlery the works. Room was also very attractive, with nice big TV for the Super Bowl. The Suite was even better than the ‘Big Game’. Very nice shower and bath. Plenty of safe parking. Real nice public TV lounge, with games and puzzles, automatic fireplace, and a vintage record player. If the beach is your thing - just cross the road at the ‘walk light’, down the safe hill path, and beach is right there. Your vehicle can remain safe at the hotel. Excellent experience. Thank You.

The curtains stunk like cigarette smoke. The toilet doesn’t flush for almost the exact same price. I stayed across the street the next day at the beach club night and day difference. also, the headboard looked disgusting like it had wet dirt on it. The heating system is noisy and old and right across from the bed. I didn’t sleep a wink.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a small kitchenette, a sofa and 2 large chairs and a small round dining table. It made our stay so comfortable and felt like being home. For EV users they do have a charger which is great but I did not know how to use the a Tesla charger (not aware of the adapter) and the staff member was not trained /advised. That would be the only concern I have the staff should be trained properly. Not the staff members fault for not knowing just a hiccup in the training!

We appreciated the large room with kitchenette. However we were disappointed to see how far this hotel was from the beach. We selected this hotel because it was featured as “direct access to the beach” however we discovered that we had to cross the highway, walk between businesses and then through a campground before we found a path leading down to the beach. The kitchens did not have much in the way of utensils.

Bath was dangerously slippery and has no hand rail or anything to hold onto if you slipped. This should be remedied before someone has an accident. Kettle to make tea would have been good. One of the beds was right up against the wall on one side which was inconvenient.

This was my first time staying at a Coastal hotel. This particular property was small but the rooms are a good size and very clean. The staff are wonderful and the sitting room with the free coffee machine with lattes and hot chocolate was a nice touch. Across the street is Putt Putt and access to the water. I would stay here again.
